Dear: Family and Friends

The holiday season is fast approaching. It is one of my favorite times of the year and I look forward to sharing the (Christmas/Kwanza/Hanukkah/etc.) with you and the rest of my family and friends. Everybody is busily working on their wish list for holiday gifts and I've been thinking about mine, too.

You know that I had a stroke . I don't talk about it a lot for a number of reasons. I don't want people feeling sorry for me, besides, talking about illness makes some people uncomfortable and sometimes, it just makes me sad. I want to be around for a long time and celebrate many more holidays with the people I love. That is more likely to happen if we only could find a cure for strokes. Fortunately, god has given me the gift to raise money toward this effort. I am very excited about this effort it means so much to me personally as well as help for my rehabilitation

So, instead of buying a present for Strangers set aside a little for me this year, I hope you will consider making a contribution to my Fund for the stroke. With a donation to my website: http://www.geocities.com/stroke_vic/ihadastroke.html?1159927345906

Your Donation would mean the world to me.

No gift is too small and could help to save a life.

With much love,

Leo Arterberry

Hello. I am an african american single mother. I have bad credit but am trying to get a loan to purchase my first home. I have a pretty good job which I've been on for more than two years now. Previously I was in a very bad relationship, but now I am rebuilding my life and wish to provide my two year old daughter with a lovely home. Please help me. Thank you.

Trying to figure out where to start.

A single mother starting over

I am a 27 year old single mother who had no choice but to start over.  It wasn't my choice to be a single mother, but my choice to become a stay at home mother to my two sons.  Unbeknowest to me, the father of my children secretly started a new relationship and had no plans on following through with support.  I stopped schooling and stopped working, thinking that I was going to have help from him.  If it wasn't for my family, I would be on the streets.  Right now they pay my rent and bills until I get on my feet.

I would like to go back to school, as well as get some assistance with bills (debt), and be able to provide for my children.  I am living in a rural town without a car, so right now my means of working would have to be via computer.  I see so many ads for governement assistance for housing downpayments, but you first have to qualify to get a home loan, and that totally excuses me.

If there is any help available, I would greatly appreciate it.  God Bless and Thank You.

Currently i'm a 34 year old single mother of two girls. I'm from New York but currently reside in Rhode Island because of marriage now divorced looking to start new in another state. Because of what i want to do, which is open a full service spa, I was looking to move to the DC area or probably the surrounding states Maryland or Virginia. I found out that a cosmo school (Dudleys) that i would like to goto is there...so i feel that would be a great opportunity for me. Since I know what direction i want to go I'm currently researching different services that might help me open my business when im ready. So if anyone reads this I hope you can give me some direction in which way to go....Have a blessed day

I am a former military member who has used his benefits for serving his country almost to it's limit.  I am entering Physical Therapy school and am faced with the daunting tasks of trying to finance it.  I am Caribbean American and am from a disadvantaged background.  I represent a race that is under represented in the field I am entering and wish to have less of a burden while navigating through the prescribed curriculum.  I have intentions of catering to the needs of veterans and the disabled as a result of current ongoing conflict.

Hello,

I am a single parent of in search of scholarship monies available for boys attending private schools in the State of Maryland. I have searched everywhere with no luck. My son is currently attending a private school but it has been a major struggle to keep him there because of my financial concerns. He is an excellent student with a great deal of potential. He does not want to leave the school but I may be forced to transfer him. If anyone can provide assistance of any nature it would be greatly appreicated as I want to see the best for my son.

Thank You
