A couple of months ago, I was in the hospital, and I fell beind on bills.  Once I got out, I found a new job, and was positioned to catch up and restart my life.

The day before I was to begin work on my new job, I was waiting at a stop sign when I was struck by another vehicle, rendering my vehicle inoperable and causing a mild injury to my back (currently getting treatment).  The person responsible, who lives in a different town than I, did not feel it necessary to provide his telephone number to the police officer filling out the report.

I'll actually skip further details, but it was a week and a half before I was able to get to work with a rental car provided by his insurance company.  I was a pizza delivery driver, and in that week and a half without my car, I lost a few hundred dollars in revenue which was supposed to go to my car payment.

While my car was undergoing repairs, my finance company decided to reposses the car.  Now, the rental is gone, and so is my car.  If I lived in a metropolitan area, this would not be so much of a setback, as I could use city busses and trains.  But I live in Bristol, Tennessee, where there are no trains, and there are three bus lines which run about every hour and a half.

I have no children, but I am married to a wonderful woman who has medical difficulties which prevent her from working.  I have been turned down for a restaurant management position because I don't have a car.  I've been offered a decent factory job, but I've no way to get there.

My finance company called me on Friday, August 18th, and offered me the opportunity to get back into my loan, and therefore my car.  I have to come up with $572.34 by August 31st.  Now almost out of money, I'm looking for money anywhere I can find it.  A church near my home has sent to the finace company $80, bringing the remainder down to $492.34.  I think this is an achievable goal, but not without help.

I aspire for so much more than my life was before my hospitalization and accident, but without a car, I don't know what to do.  I'm very intelligent, and with the resources I need, I could make a good life for myself.

I am seriously concerned about the direction my life will take once this crisis is resolved.  I fear that I may never fully recover if I'm without a car.  There are only a handful of jobs within walking distance, and now with my back injury, the types of jobs I can do has become further limited.  I am qualified for many well-paying and secure careers, but I can't get those positions without owning a car.

I just need help once.  I absolutely do not want others to pay my rent and my electricity and to support my wife and me.  I want to support myself.  But I do need my car.  I suppose it's like the story about giving a man a fishing pole versus giving him fish.  I could catch my own fish, if I only had a pole.

hi  Im a single mother of one who recently lost my job due to my son braking his hand. i was a mgr. for 4 years at my job but they seemed to think workers are a dime a dozen and couldnt relate to my needs to take care of my child so i was let go .  Im looking for local work now, Im trying to sell homeade quilts andpillows and stuff like that just so we can eat right now.  Im only allowed 68 dollars in food stamps and my electric bill is due tomarrow its 170.00 and i dont know what to do .. Im so embarassed to even have to ask for help but what else is there. I dont want you to send me any cash , you can directly pay the bill or i opened a paypal acct just so i could do home surveys and hopefully get paid not scammed for just some extra. i am a hard working man that is barely making it i am paying a lot of bills and my major bills is paying my child support i dont have enough to pay my regular bills i just need some help i normaly dont ask for help but some time i just get depressed just knowing i cant pay my own bills i just wish there would be some one out there that could afford to help me with some of my bills i would be most greatful to them thank you in advance
