I am in desperate need of some financial assistance to help me through this difficult time. The one thing that really bothers me is how my university of 4 years, has put me off from completing my Masters Program because I cannot afford to pay them $1,800.00 and because I am not working they have taken me off the program until I can pay this amount.  Although I feel it was not my fault I have no money to pay for a lawyer that can help me to fight this.  As it stands, my school loans from this univeristy is at 75,000.00, and I completed my bachelors with them in 2006.  My gpa stands with this university at 3.89, and they have no intentions of working with me to try and solve this situation.  They told me they cannot schedule me for classes because I am not working.  I feel discriminated from this university and hope that you can provide for me any organization that will help me to find financial assistance to gain some satisfaction towards this matter I face.  Presently, I am unemployed and am struggling to survive on a $422 a month income.  What type of individual grants are available to low income people like myself?  Please anything would help me.  

Hi, my name is Latita.  I am 36 years old and the single parent of three children and grandparent of one.  I have worked all my life and recentlyhad the year from hell.  I am no longer employed, my home was foreclosed on, and am now on public assistance.  I have a house that I could move in, but it was vandalized and I don't have the money to get home repairs to move me and my family into.  If you can direct me to any programs that will help me with home repairs it will be greatly appreciated.

Hello to everyone!  I have been on a desperate search online today for any help that's out there, financially.  i am a 31 year old single mother, 2 children, ages 4 & 6.  I just relocated less than 3 months ago to get away from an alcoholic man who was beating my kids, and verbally abusing them. 

I had to get away, so I took a leap of faith with my tax return, got my first place to live on my own, but I still haven't found a job!  My money has run completely out, I have job applications in everywhere, 1/2 a tank of gas at this moment, $121 behind on my rent (which $125 will be due again on May 1st), My power is overdue, i can't afford childcare, their father is unemployed so he can't help, I have food stamps so i am not starving, My childen need new clothes (growing out of them and don't have much anyway)  and need an opportunity to make money or help.  I have 12 cents in my bank account, and nothing to sell except a sewing machine that I bought to mend our clothes if needed.  I don't have much at all, just a simple life.  My computer is an old borrowed one from my mom and dad.  They don't have much either so they can't help me.  I don't know what to do, and I refuse to resort to illegal activity of any kind!  i just want my children to have a decent life, and I want to be able to give that to them.  I feel like they aren't going to respect me if they see me fail.  All they have ever seen is me depend on someone else, and I want to be independent.

I have tried looking up loans, but you have to be employed to get that, and all of the home business "jobs" require start up money.  You can't tell what's legitimate anyway.  If anyone has any ideas, a job, money, opportunity, prayers, words of encouragement, clothes for a boy age 4, or a girl age 6, a car they would trade for my windstar van (too much on gas), anything to help please.  I just don't know what to do.
