Most people going to college get one scholarship and then apply for a student loan to cover the rest of their educational expensis.   This is OK, but student loans have to be paid back.  They cannot be forgiven even with Bankruptcy.  The only way out of a student loan is by dying or becoming so disabled that you can not work.

But there is no need to get a student loan.  You can get as many scholarships as you want to pay for your schooling.  There is no limit on how many you can have.  And you can get grants to pay for all the rest.  All it takes is a little effort on your part to hunt down and apply for these scholarships and grants.

Help!!!  After 8 years in a corporate America job, I lost my job due to budget cuts & down sizing.  Now, I feel led to go back to school for my masters degree, but without a job yet, I need to track down scholarships or grants to fund my schooling and possibly some minimal living expenses.  Does anyone know of any available funds for Masters Degree students?  Almost everything I have seen is for high school seniors only.  Thank-you!

  I am a government employee performing presently as a Health Technician and am trying to attend on-line masters program offered by University of West Alabama in counseling/psychology in order to better myself as well as serve veterans of which I am one as well.  The cost of tuition is over $9,000.00 over a two year course of study (does not cover costs of books, supplies, internet service, computer, etc.).  I may be able to get tuition reimbursement for a portion of my class work from my employer but expect that, at minimum, I will need around 5 to 6 thousand dollars for the 2 year period in question.

I am a single mother who has been going through a difficult period in my life. I graduated from nursing school in 2000. While returning  to school the next fall to work on my BSN, my father was tragically killed on the job Dec. 26, 2001.  My mother, also, was diagnosed with cancer.  My world fell apart from there.

Due to the extreme stress, I became ill and lost my new job.  Shortly after, I was diagnosed with two lifelong painful disorders that left me unable to work for a year and a half.  I did return to work- only to last for four months.  Again, I was off another ten months. 

Starting in the summer of 2003, I returned to school online working on the prequsites that I had to take in order to get in the nursing program.  Finally, I have FINISHED!!!!!

But, I have had to take out student loans to accomplish this.  And now I will be planning on attending the Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences via Online BSN program in the Spring.  I NEED MONEY, MONEY,MONEY, that I don't have to repay back. I need all the grants or scholarships I can get to supplement my income so that I don't have to borrow anymore.

I am looking for assistance to continue my education at Florida State University. My mom is a single mom and my father is deceased. I moved to Florida prior to starting classes at FSU but according to Florida statues I can not be considered an in state student. I will not be able to continue with my education at FSU with assistance.

I need to find options for ways to pay for graduate school.  I'm a female, military veteran seeking a master's degree.

I am currently enrolled in historically black college.Unfortunately when I transferred there my Life Scholarship didn't follow me.Last semester I had to take out loans because I didn't receive enough Pell Grant to cover it.  I work part time at a restaurant and my mom just started getting diability about 2 months ago and she hasn't worked in about a year and a half now.

Are there grants or scholarships available to non-traditional students (53 yr old woman) going back to school to get MSW and work with older adults and issues they are facing...psychologically, physically,support,financial, etc.

I am trying to get my degree and need help with funding school costs. I have fed. loans but they do not cover the entire cost. I do not hve the job I had that I had to use for fed. loans and grants any more. I make about half that now and can not afford the remanider of the tuition.

I am a single mother with a 16 year old daughter.  She is in her senior year in high school and all of her life I have pushed the dream of college on her.  I had hoped that by the time she was ready for college I would be in a better financial situation.  That is not the case.  There is no way I can afford to pay for or even take out loans for tuition for my daughter.  Since we have a few more weeks before we have to start applying for financial aid, I am uncertain as to what she will qualify for.  I don't make that much money, and I am always in debt.  I keep 2 steps ahead of the collection agencies for the most part, but a few of my bills have headed there.  My car is about to breakdown and we live in a rural area where I have to have a car to get to work and my daughter will need one as well just to get to college.  Transportation, housing, tuition, books, supplies.....   It keeps me up nights with worry.  She's not a bad student, although not straight A's.  Her goal is to be a high school guidance counselor.  She wants to work with teenagers. 

What is out there that we can apply for?
