I am disabled, my husband has been looking for a job since November.  We have had to sell my car, his burned.  The van we have know is unfixable and will not run.  We go with out food for the last 2 1/2 weeks out of the month.  Beg for electricy money to keep the power on. 

We need transportation bad!  This will help me get to and from my dr. appointments and my husband get a job.  Then we can get on our feet again and start helping others!

I Just found out this week end that my husband is a on Narcotics and need to go to rehab.  We disagree if he should get a job first or rehab first.  I have found some places that will take him free of change, not sure how long he will be there.  He thinks he needs a job first so I can have something to live on.  Things just continue to get worse.  He said he started taking to excape the feelings of not being the man of the house!?  Now What?

need help to provide for a new baby & ourselves!

recently, my husband was laid off... so he was fired another wards. before he was let go... i had wrote a check for our rent to be paid. i was wondering why it was taking so long to go through our bank. come to find out it had been returned. since we now have no money... our land lord came by today but without an eviction notice to tell us that we need to come up with the money or get out by the end of the weekend. when i had wrote the check we were thinking that we would be okay. b/c that week was going to be his on-call week... so we would have a great check. but then he was let go.

we aren't sure what to do now... we have tried going to get a loan but we need a co-signer & our parents aren't able to do it. we also tried looking up local churches around where we live but we can't find any that provides that kind of assistance.

if we can't pay by thursday... i'm not sure what we are going to do. with a baby we can't live in our car. that just isn't right. i can see if it was just me & my husband... but it's not! we are screwed! can anyone help?

oh yeah, my husband was accepted for a new job. we are waiting on his drug test, now. so until then... we only need help to get our rent paid.

i need to correct the top... my baby isn't a new born. she's growing so fast. today she is 9 months. but the pic that i have up is the only family pic that i have. sorry about that. she is always going to be my little baby though.

We are a family of 4 who is struggling with our rent! We have been trying to keep up but each month we pay later and later and the late charges get bigger and bigger (last month the late fees were around $400) which makes it difficult to pay the power, food, etc... We thank god we are all healthy! I just don't want to be homeless! I work full time (i am being garnished from a student loan from 1989?) and my husband was let go a little over a year ago. He's had a terrible time finding work. He does about 3 p/t temporary jobs (he's a singer/entertainer, cleans and replaces carpet, gets signatures for election ballots) but it only adds up to enough for the basics like food, GAS, kids clothes and shoes (they are 8 & 9 and growing like weeds).

Does anyone out there know how we can get caught up, get help agencies. We don't mind working for what we get. We just need a boost! I have to get to work now so I'll white more later. Please write if you have any ideas on how we can get help!! Thank you and God Bless! Dede

I'm great with computers i've taken various classes microsoft word, excell, powerpoint. I'm young energetic and will make a good employer or manager of your business. I recently have a job a motel as a night auditor. but all it pays is minimum wage and with gas as high as it is i could use a better paying job.

I need help.  I don't know who to ask or where to go but I'm desperate.  I am 24 years old and I am suffocating under a mountain of debt.  I am going through somewhat of a messy common-law separation and money is extremely tight.  I owe between 30,000 and 35,000 dollars on various things and I am getting farther and farther behind.  I am working 3 jobs and I'm exhausted all of the time.  I just want to live a normal life and have some releif.  I want to be able to stand on my own 2 feet and go back to college so that I can better my living situation without needing another person's income to do it.  I am tired of living to work.  I want to work to live.  ANY help will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you God bless you.

i'm a mom with a 14 month old child with down syndrome.i was recently fired from my job because of all the medical issues i have to deal with my son,which caused me to miss alot of work.i'm so far behind in my bills that i can't afford to pay my rent or electric. on 3-18-2008 my electric was shut off because i couldn't pay the bill. my son and i are living in my apartment with no lights or hot water.i have had no luck coming up with the money or finding a new job. any help that anyone can offer so i can get the lights back on for my baby would be so greatly appericiated.

two of my children came down with salminalla posioning one years ago through no fault of our own my step mother had my children taken and i now pay 1800 dollars month for child support. i am three weeks a way from getting them back. Not only do i pay that i have to keep up a four bedroom home for them,pay 40 dollars a week for testing and food in the house for them. my house payment is 2 months be behind and both of our cars broke down. My step mothers best friend works for the dcs and everytime we do everything they come up with something else for us to do which costs more money. we have been fighting for one year now and about to lose everything. they are our heart and soul they want to come home so bad but if we lose our home they will not let them. also we have to travel 40 miles one way to see them .my husband and i have been married for 10yrs and i have had the same job for 14 yrs and my husband has worked in a tire factory for several years. Now the goverment takes everything and we have to choose to pay water electric and food or the house payment and it should not be that way. we need help and this has destoryed our credit. please

Dear Soulight,

I am in desperate need of some financial assistance to help me through this difficult time. The one thing that really bothers me is how my university of 4 years, has put me off from completing my Masters Program because I cannot afford to pay them $1,800.00 and because I am not working they have taken me off the program until I can pay this amount.  Although I feel it was not my fault I have no money to pay for a lawyer that can help me to fight this.  As it stands, my school loans from this univeristy is at 75,000.00, and I completed my bachelors with them in 2006.  My gpa stands with this university at 3.89, and they have no intentions of working with me to try and solve this situation.  They told me they cannot schedule me for classes because I am not working.  I feel discriminated from this university and hope that you can provide for me any organization that will help me to find financial assistance to gain some satisfaction towards this matter I face.  Presently, I am unemployed and am struggling to survive on a $422 a month income.  What type of individual grants are available to low income people like myself?  Please anything would help me.  

I want to know are their scholarships and grants for people who have family members to

alcoholis and cancer. I am finishing my master in education and looking for grant to pay for my

PHD in Counseling and transportantion.

Last year I was hit by several tragedies and I am still in disbelief. March Seventeen of     “06” I broke my

ankle and I was in the emergency room for three hours a doctor walking by saw my leg he got x-rays.

The first week spent in hospital with my leg wrapped because of the swelling they couldn't do any

surgeries. Second week I had the surgery. After I was well enough to go home my dad me a wheel chair

and walker. At, the time my dad was sick going in and out of hospital it was an everyday thing. Then my

dad ended up in the hospital. I was at home and the phone ring and picked it up it was hospice which I

had no idea what hospice was for. Then told my dad was dying and he would put on hospice in the

house. I was called to meet with the doctor and my sister. The doctor told us my dad had two weeks to

live and he had liver cancer and any cancer treatment would instantly kill him. Since I had huge casts in

bed everyday while dad was slowly die across the hall.  May Ninth of last year, I came back home from

my second surgery to find my mom crying over dad his was slowly shutting down with his last tears we

prayed and on the same day at 8pm he passed. Now my mom takes care of me and my disabled

sister.But I have my education and I want to continue it my dad was my inpsiration and he still but my

mom has join my team. My education has become my number one priority it has kept me together and it

has become theraphy for all the pain and saddness is still there but I have future to look forward to. My

dad would have been proud.

I would like to know how I might be referred to a doctor for my lower back, since I am a self pay patient.

My boyfriend left me after five year after he found out i was going to concieve. I am strongly at risk for preeclampsia. I am be bound. my name is harriet key I'm a foster care parent and i presently live in a studio apartment and i would like to be able to provide a home for a sibling group of children that desperately need a home and family. In order for me to be able to provide them a stable life i need money to buy or rent a home or even if some one has a house they would donate to help my cause. I just became a single mom of a 1 year old boy about a week and a half ago.  I got out of a pretty bad relationship and I was able to leave before it got worse.  Now I am sleeping on my mom's couch and I am trying to get back on my feet.  I need some help.  Everytime I call for some assistance I don't qualify because either I am not being evicted or something like that.  I am 23 years old and I barely have any kind of credit to my name, I don't have a job rightnow.  I've never owned anything.  If anyone knows any kind of information that can help me get a place of my own, because you all know living back at your parents house isn't too fun, please let me know.  Thanks.  

I'm a divorced man with the custody of my three kids. The wife left town with the boyfriend, I had just graduate trade school in Texas and came back to be with my kids. At which time the wife left, thinking no big deal I'll raise the kids. I had a in out of state the paid well at first, then I started having car problems. Lost the job, at the time the kids and me where living in a friends basement. He also had three kids,things got rough with the friend and the kids and where put out. I had some money in the bank and looked for an apartment, but the wife had a very large ultilites bills that had vto be paid before anybody would let us in. Now the money gone we where in a homeless shelter for two montyhs then a hotel room for four months and now in a apartment for the last five years. But now the school loan, car payment to rebuild my credit, and the cost to feed, clothes the kids when i can, is too much to handle. I NEED MONEY!!! to pay off my student loans and money for a down payment on a house, and money too start my own business so my kid fully understand that no matter how hard life gets if you work at it you will get it. So please help me get the funds to change my life totally around so my kids can believe in me again.

Hi, I'm 48 years old and a single mother of two teanagers and it is been very difficult for me to meet my ends.  My house is in foreclosure and i need to pay for two months the amount of $1300.00 in order for the bank to put me in a repayment plan.  I haven't pay my utilities for two months and if i don't have at least $500.00 by tomorrow, most probably they will be disconecting my electricity and water.  This is an act of faith that i'm doing, i believe that there must be somebody out there that will be moved by my situation.
