Hello everyone,

I never knew about this wonderful site existing. Very soon I will post what I'm having a problem with and pray that I get some type of information that will be very helpful for me. For starters I will say it's in reference to my teeth. I received a root canal years ago and it actually destroyed 2 of my teeth which have enabled me to smile as much as I want. Basically I really don't have the money to get 2 permanent teeth at this time because that's cosmetic surgery. If someone knows any information that will be successful in me getting that perfect smile back again I  will greatly appreciate. God Bless.

I am an exceptionally hard working clinical psychology doctoral student.  Asside from classes, studying, and working on my dissertation, I spend a great deal of my time volunteering in the community (domestic violence shelters, various children's charities, and an organization that helps adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses become active members of the community).  I am beyond financially stressed right now, my school made a huge error with my financial aid, and while I've managed to get the financial aid office to fix the problem... I won't see the financial benefit of that until my next disbursement in January.  By that time I will have been evicted from my apartment.  I am working 3 part-time jobs on top of going to school and am trying my best to fix this problem.... but I feel like I am drowning and I don't know what else to do.  If there is anyone who can help me... please, I would be eternally greatful!

ok well, i feel stupid doing this but i dont really know what else to do and anyway its worth a shot right? Im 23 getting ready to turn 24 and when i was little I had bacterial menigitis and the medication they had given to me  supposedly did something to the enamel on my teeth buti dont know. So my problem is im literally spitting out chunks of teeth  and ive tried going to the college to get in the dentel program they have there but there's a really long waiting list, and im afraid soon wel frankly im not going to have any teeth left to fix. Im a single mother and im not currently working because my mother just got over a bout with cancer and I had to quit my job to help take care of her. I have medicaid but they dont do anything except pull teeth if your over 21, and im to young to be walking around without my teeth. I dont know, its just really embarassing, you dont want to smile, you dont want to be kissed, you definitly dont want to laugh, and frankly it really brings down your self esteem especially being has young as I am. I dont really know what i expect for anyone to do but I just need some help of some kind. Any ideas? Anything  I mean im at the point where I just dont care what it takes I dont want to live like this..  the problems that im having are abcesses constantly, cracked teeth, little nubs you know where the tooth has cracked and then got worn down over time and just a little hole there. my front teeth are decaying... ughh and i dont understand why , its not like i neglect them or anything. Any help is good help.

After having lived in Europe for 31 years, 10 in Milan, Italy & 21 in Heppenheim, Germany, I returned to the U.S at the end of 2004. I have a M.S. in mathematics from the university of Illinois. Professionally I've been a systems software developer for 42 years. Having difficulty finding a job -- from my point of view, because most of my experience has been on IBM mainframes, making me somewhat of a dinosaur -- & from the market's point of view because I'm  euphemistically "overqualified," I would like to go to an online university to get a degree in accounting, most likely aqn MBA, but since my total income is the pittance I receive as SSDI, "Yes, Virginia, I'm disabled," I'm not able to afford the rather hefty tuition from most of these places & I'm loathe to encumber myself with a student loan, because there being no guarantees, I might not find a job post-degree, but I'd still have to repay the loan from the aforementioned pittance which barely keeps pace with inflation. So, I'd like to find a scholarship, a fellowship or some kind of grant to allow me to attend an online university. In the meantime, I've found a great job developing mainframe system software for Compuware in Cambridge, MA, starting 7/17/06. I'll be leaving here in FL to drive there on 7/9/06. I'll be back to update my info once I'm settled.

Growing up in a small town, several things stand out compared to the big city scene.  Most of the businesses have been here for a long time so when one of them closes, the impact is harder.  One of my favorite places to get a burger closed when I was 16 and noone has purchased the building or anything.  The location of the building is on the east side of town.  Right now there are no restaurants on this side.  With the high school only 4 blocks away, the idea of having a little restaurant open over there sounds better each time.  The finacial part is what I need help with.  Employees are already lined up to work just need the backing to start up.

The picture shown on my photo is the only photo I have of holding my daughter. She was born on March 13, 2005 and passed away due to SIDs May 8th, 2005, Mother's Day. I was a single mother and seem to find myself in more debt everyday. I originally owed roughly 1,000 to the funeral home and I just found out I owe and Electric Company since June when I left California. My daughter was the world to me and she will always have my heart. As on earth she has it in heaven.

Hi! I am a single Mom to 2 boys.

I was laid off 3 months ago, after 9 years with the same company. I've had a difficult time finding employment that fits in with the need for caring for my kids, but I am still looking. If I can't find anything that makes it possible to be with my sons at nights or at least one weekend day, I will have to bite the bullet and take almost anything.

I am doing rather well on keeping everything paid up, but.....

We got hit with those dreaded unexpected bills last month. I used 2 months car payments for fixing the house AC unit. But now it looks like I will lose the car. I have spoken with the finance company and because I re-financed the loan they state they are not in any position to help. Also, if I don't lose the car I'm looking at repairs on it-Master brake cylinder, front brakes and repairs to fix the power steering leak (About $1000. according to the car dealership repair shop.)

Does anyone know where I could possibly get help?

Thanks

Hello my name is Kelly Abrantes. I am 25 years old, living in Zephyrhills Florida.  I currently am enrolled in college for my Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal.  Me and my family are going through a tough time, and I really could use some help financially.

I am married with 4 kids.  My husband is very supportive of my education, allthough sometimes he thinks I push myself to hard.  I found out when I was pregnant with my 4th child that I have cancer. It is curable but unfortunately we have no health insurance right now and I can't afford to pay for it out of my pocket, so it is just sitting there nesting and spreading.  I really hope to find grants to help me support my family better through my hardship, as well as get my health back to good standing.

Nurse, Health & Sex Educator, The U.S. first AIDS Coordinator
Palm Beach County, Florida, USA

I entered nursing school at the age of 17 years old. I turned 18 less than two weeks later. I was the youngest nursing student ever accepted into St. Joseph's Nursing Program. After spending four years working at the hospital on a GYN floor and then a new teen floor, I decided to go back to school. I wanted to teach health and sex education. The rest of my career has been in public health, until 1986 when I answered an interesting ad. The ad turned out to be an experimental position for an AIDS Coordinator. The job did not have description, just tasks which needed to be done anyway I saw fit. With unbelievable energy, passion and drive (and basically no budget) I became very personally successful. I conducted the first AIDS & Prostitution Study.  I wrote the protocol for HIV Risk Reduction and was fortunate enough to receive assistance and education from Gay Men’s Health Crisis in NY.  I helped write the  Contact Tracing for HIV\AIDS program for the State of NJ.  In 1989 I left NY and NJ for Florida and began working for the Health Department in Palm Beach County.  I was selected as one of the health educators for the new Palm Beach County’s Health Education Risk Reduction Program.  I wrote the HIV\AIDS Risk Reduction Program for first (and sometimes second) time sex offenders, which has now become a state statute.  Additionally I was very fortunate in having the opportunity to be part of and appeaaring in a FOX documentary titled, “Blind Justice” which featured Pat Pepper and former Madame Attorney General Janet Reno.  In 1999 I was selected by the Merit Systems Board for the Centers for Disease Control as a GS-12 Supervisory Public Heath Advisor.  When I returned to Florida I took a position in a small non-profit agency in Daytona Beach.  This agency turned out to be the nightmare of all nightmares, The AIDS Coalition of Volusia & Flagler Co.  I discovered embezzlement in just about every contract program, but it began with the HUD (HOPWA, housing for AIDS patients.  Due to my whistle blowing (because they ignored all the pleads from me to clean things up) this agency retaliated in ways that are unthinkable.  I was attacked and beaten in my own office twice in one day, while the supervisor watched and prevented me from calling 911.  My home was robbed while my son and I slept.  My home was in a beautiful gated community, basically unable to break into.  I was eventually fired, and because my whistleblower protection rights were not enforced or protected, I lost everything.  But I would have never believed this agency’s attorneys would go as far as they did to convince a Volusia County judge that my allegations of embezzlement were “delusional” therefore making me unable to make parental decisions.  I lost my son.  There was no one from DCF, no psychiatrist, or psychologist.  There wasn’t even an angry neighbor, just a former employee from The AIDS Coalition of Volusia & Flagler Co. who was out on bail for criminal activities (which were never brought up in court), their attorney’s office partner and the judge.  I wasn’t there, I was having a surgical procedure.  I haven’t seen my child in three years because this County will not admit they screwed up so very badly.  I am on my 5th judge.  They have all recused themselves at various times during one Hearing or another.  Thankfully, Congressman Wexler of Boca Raton convinced OIG in 2004 to re-open my case of embezzlement allegations, because the second investigation proved the allegations valid.  I just want my son home.  Since when did this become a circus where I have to prove something that has already been proven?  Now I have to wait for the US attorney’s office to prosecute these fiends, for my son to come home.  Apparently in Volusia Family Court anyone can spew a psychiatric diagnosis, if it’s the one the judge wants to hear.

Hi, I am not proud of myself for asking for monetary assistance but I feel this is the last resort. This is a sincere plee for help from the public to donate whatever they can to my cause. My husband doesn't even know that I am doing this and would be very hurt if he knew.

My Story: We are a family of four (2 small boys; 1 year and 4 years) plus our 2 Boxer girls. We had been living in Chicago since 2004 when my husband was introduced to an opportunity to buy his own retail business in Orlando. He immediately tried to get a bank loan for the business but was declined because neither one of us was working at the time and had too much personal dept. So we both decided that he should take out Credit Card advances under both of our names to make his Dream Happen. He dropped everything including his family and at the time his son of 1 month with my blessing to go and pursue it. I stayed back to work and take care of the 2 boys and to sell the home 2005. In the meantime, the whole year of 2005 incurring more debt because I was the only one that was bringing in money for the family and eventually had to take on a 2nd and  a 3rd job just to make ends meet. My husband came home at least once a month to visit. During the whole year of 2005 there was no buyer for the home which was the most discouraging. After trying to sell for almost a year we finally decided in November to rent the home out and rent a home in Orlando.

Up-to-date:

We moved to Orlando in November 2006 to resume our life as a family again. I am still working 3 jobs and still the sole provider for the family because my husband has been negative every month for the business. Life has been a struggle for the past 2+years with the worries of not being able make the bills every month, and discussing if we can afford to take our children to see the doctors when they are sick because we don't have health insurance.

With the way things are going we will not be able to pay back our balances ever! That's why I am turning to the public to help donate/contribute to a good cause. Anything contributed will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Hoping to stay afloat.

The Person:
I'm not really sure what to put here. I guess, well, I should start by saying I'm a young 22 year old. I grew up with next to nothing, but I had a wonderful mother who loved her children enough to raise them right. I'm thankful for all of the things God has given me in life and I always hope for the best in situations. I'm loyal, caring, and honest. I'm not really a typical 22 year old. Most of my life is spent working, trying to pay the bills, and worrying about my hubby who is in the army. If I ever get any free time, I like to spend it reading a book or playing a video game. I also enjoy anime and roleplaying games. My second job is working for the local video game store. It would be my dream job, if only it paid more than minimum wage! I  guess you could say I was pretty nerdy! But I'm proud of who I am. A lot of people tell me I don't look like the type that would be into all of those things, but I assure you, I'm a legitimate dork.
I look forward to meeting others who have similar interest. I do not judge, as I do not like to be judged. I accept everyone. I hope others will accept me.

The Problem:
As far as my situation, as I've stated before I've been having a rough time keeping up with the bills due to my man being gone. I've got a 14,000 dollar loan which needs to be paid back and money has just been really tight since he left. I'm not asking for someone to pay the loan for me, but I am asking for a little help....Donations in any amount. I realize that's a lot to ask since it isn't easy to trust people, especially people online, these days. I figured I would try anyway and hope that there are people out there generous and caring enough to help, as I would do for someone in need. If you can help me, feel free to message me (or even if you would just like to talk and be friends!).

I've got a donation bin set up on paypal at the moment, and my email address is a confirmed one for anyone thinking I'm trying to scam someone out of money. I'm not. If you'd like to make a donation, my e-mail on paypal is ami_nugent@yahoo.com. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help or with advice!

For Others:
For those seeking money themselves. I haven't had much luck with this, but there is a website that will pay you .02 to just read advertisements online. This can be a lengthy and tedious project (one I don't particularly have time for, since I work), but it may help someone who's looking to make a little extra pocket change or something. Like I said, I haven't had luck... but for anyone who is maybe paralyzed or has the free time, it could help slightly.

For those who need help with prescriptions. There is a wonderful site that offers 3-month supplies of (mostly generic) common presciptions for costs as low as 20 dollars, up to $40. It does ask that you meet the criteria for the program (information about that is on the website). This has been great for my "controlled substance" medications in the past. No tax forms are required and the application is very simple and straight-forward.

Looking for free stuff?? Try craigslist in your state. You can find lots of helpful stuff here. From free items, to trade/barter, and employment. It's a very useful tool.

Though I am unable to give out money currently, I would love to help others in any way I can. If you need someone to talk to, advice, a friend. I'd love to donate clothing and other items to families in need. I've done the "Goodwill" thing before, but I always had an issue with donating my stuff to a company which profits from it! I would rather know that my items are going to someone who truly needs it, who doesn't have to pay. Not that Goodwill is a bad thing, I would just rather help an individual rather than a corperation.

I need $5,000.00 to repair home

I will be 74 in 2 weeks. have end stage emphysema, congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation, and am on oxygen 24/7. I am on low social security, alone with no family or kin, no savings. need to have roof repaired, floor repaired, and need 6 windows and 2 doors. I had to drop my home insurance, and don't think i can afford the  minimal auto insurance on my '87 plymouth k., so may not be able to drive. I also need around 400 for real estate taxes.
Any and all help gratefully appreciated.
I can make it the rest of the time. just the repairs are so expensive. The county opportunity council checked, replaced my fridge (the old one worked) replaced my hot water heater (the old one worked) insulated the attic and fixed the a/c. said that was all they could do..To me, these were of no help in getting comfortable, because I can't use a/c...some windows won't shut, and doors have cracks or missing jalousie parts. couldn't afford electric anyway. 95 degree heat is almost intolerable.
This house is a small woodframe, built in 1945, and is very difficult to keep warm, cool or dry,
I have no tv, satellite or cable. My Social Security income is below the poverty level. I cannot reverse mortgage home because of poor condition. I cannot work at a job, not even as a Walmart greeter. I have pared my electric usage to the bone, even to turning on water heater twice a week for one hour, for 4 days of lukewarm showers each time. I use one ceiling fan, one electric light, one refrigerator, and try to keep usage of my well water pump (no county water) to a minimum. The washing machine and dryer, circa 1981, are both either malfunctioning or broken. My one extravagance is my 6 hour day electric usage of computer (free isp, dialup). I read the daily news online. I have a telephone, but no long distance service. I regularly buy my groceries from scratch and dent places, including my pet foods. St Vincent de Paul supplies my clothing. I use the microwave for cooking nearly all the time.
I had lung cancer surgery 2 years ago. Now, nodules are showing on both lungs. Pulmonologist has a wait and see attitude. Still too short of breath most days to do much of anything. Really cannot see a light at the end of this tunnel.
So, if you can see your way clear to help make it a bit more comfortable for me, you will have my gratitude.

I NEED HELP - I looked on all four pages of assistance pages and there is nothing available in Southwest Florida !  I am a single mother with three children who has always prided herself on supporting her children with no assistance, I have always worked to support my tribe.  I at this time must swallow my pride and ask for HELP !

I have worked in the criminal justice field for the last twelve years, working diligently to protect the lives of the citizens of the state of Florida, and now I need someone to help me and my "tribe" of three daughters.  I injured myself on the job (three herniated discs in back) and since May 11, 2006 have not been allowed by my employer to return to work due to my permanent injury.  No money from workman's compensation because I have reached my maximum medical imrpovement and am permanently injured.  BUT as of this date my employer has still not fired me so that I can at least file for unemployment !! So no income from my employer or workman's compensation - this means no $$$$$ It has been over SEVEN months since I have received a paycheck.  PLEASE HELP

I have applied for job after job, but as soon as I am honest about my disability, I do not hear from the potential employer again.  The three temporary job agencies in my area will not send me out on jobs because they say it is a liability for there company.

Trust me when I tell you that I have written literally hundreds of e-mails attempting to obtain assistance from some organization or govermental entity for help, all the way to Governor Jeb Bush's office.  YOU KNOW WHAT - NO ONE IS LISTENING !

So I began searching the internet over for some type of help from somwhere and located this site.  I am not worried about no xmas toys or whatever, I need money to buy FOOD and keep a roof over the heads of my three daughters.

If you can help me and my three daughters, I will sincerely appreciate it and if you put a return address on the envelope - somehow, someday I will find a way to repay your graciousness !

Please send any donation amount to - Hayden, PMB #250, 3280-55A Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33952

Hi guys,

I hope your day is going well.  It is hard for me to ask for help, but I do need it. I have been out on short term disability for an injury I got. I had surgery a month ago and it will be at least 2 more months before I can return to work.  I have used up my savings and short term disability only pays $50. a week minus taxes comes out to be about $46.  I need help in paying my rent and utilities also med bills are starting to stack up since I have to go to Physical therapy 3 times a week and at $30 a visit it adds up. I am only asking for about $1,000 to help out with my primary needs right now which is rent and utilities.  I thank you for the opportunity to ask you for help.

You can email me at Brianflguy@aim.com .

Thank you and have a Great Day.

God Bless

Ok, a little about myself. I'm 39 and up intil July of last year I worked delivering newspapers by night and working at a church during the day. I've been on many mission trips down to South America, Columbia being my favorite. All that changed on July 5th 2005 when I  was rearended by a semi-truck, they had to extract me from the caravan I was in by the jaws of life, I'll tell you not being able to move or not knowing if you will ever walk again and waiting for the fire Department to get there was the longest half hour of my life. The only thing that got me thru was my faith, and the thoughts of the the people that mean the most to me. When I got to the hospital I found out I got  3 broken ribs, 4 ruptured disk in the low back, 1 ruptured disk in the neck, 2 slipped disk in the neck, brusied lungs, messed up knee, and copral nearve tunnel in the right hand, and the worst pain I've ever been in my life. Right now I've had low back surgery for the 4 disk in my low back which has reduced alot of the pain. I'm waiting on surgery on the knee and right hand that should happen within the next month. I'm not sure if and when I'll have the surgery for the ones in the neck because they are the ones with the most problems. Right now I have not been able to work because of all this, I wish I could because I do miss all of what I did before. I do have a lawsuit pending against the truck driver but settlement is sometime off. I've over the past 14 months have sold just about everything I have to be able to pay my bills and pay for medications. And my PIP was gone within the first few hours in the hospitial. The only good news is most of my doctor bills are under a letter of protection pending outcome of lawsuit. I  am now broke with nothing left to sale and I'm in need of help. I can no longer manage and I don't even have a dependable car to drive. I live in a city with no public transportation and curently rely on people to take me shopping for food and to the doctors. Like I said I'm in major need of help here. I can provide verifacation of all this if needed. If anyone has any suggestions, Please contact me!
