I'm a single mother who is low income and mentally ill, but I want to make my son's life better and my life more quality through my passion for writing. I have one novel finished and I am already discussing self-publishing with a service called Author House. I need to move about so that is why I posted for help getting a notebook computer. Other ventures I need help with are getting my novel published (need about 4,000 for that alone), and money for marketing. I have more than one project in the works right now and can use all the help I can get!

 Last year, we posted this plea for help:

Though there was no influx of money or someone offering us a place to rent for less than what we were paying, or offering to help us with a couple of bills, we still maintained our faith in God that He will see us through all of our trials and life situations.  We are happy to post this testimony that God is there and that since this time, we have secured a new place to live (however temporary), we both secured good-paying jobs and are managing, though tightly to make it one day at a time.  We do, at every chance that we can, help people who are in need.  We don't have 100s or 1000s or millions to assist, believe me, if we did, we'd share it!  Sometimes the greatest help comes in the form of testimony of God's awesome miracles!  I know this doesn't seem like much to some, but it has meant the world to us.  Keep your faith!  BELIEVE!!!!  Take a deep breath, exhale slowly and go to bed knowing you have done all you can do for that day, and start fresh in the morning.  God Bless and Good Luck!  and please share your stories!

I am a mother of a beautiful 8 month old baby boy.  Recently my sons father got into some trouble with the law, and was deported to mexico. He will not be coming back for a while, if ever. I dont get anything from him since hes gone. I am on welfare, but its not enough to take care of a baby and mysef. When he was deported, i had only the money i get from welfare coming in, which was not nearly enough to pay for our appartment.. I had no place to go..my father who lives in a senior mobile home community allowed me to move in with him temporarialy..because it is against the rules for me and the baby to live with him. Janurary 15th is my last day here. I am saving everything i can but its not going to be enough for security deposit and rent. What i need is help with a cheap appartment, mobile home....or if there is someone out there willing to rent a room to me and my baby..please let me know. Also..since i am saving money for our move..i am unable to buy anything for my son for christmas. I do realise he is to young to understand..but i understand..and it hurts thinking that , for my sons first christmas he will not be getting any gifts. If you can help...he is 8 months old..and he needs clothes (size 9-12 month), toys, shoes (size 2-3),  or anything that you would be willing to help me with. I am a mother of a 2 year old son.  My husband and I try very hard to make a home for our family.  He lost his job the day after Christmas and has had trouble finding another one.  I have picked up some contract work, and am now working two contract jobs in addition to my full time job.  I was diagnosed 2 years go with multiple sclerosis, so the extra work is not an easy task.

Anyway, we got behind one month on our house payment and have been unable to catch up.  Our bank is demanding two months (the behind month plus this month) payment within 48 hours.  I don't have it and don't know what to do.

I am here because I am a young, smart, dedicated mother of 2 very smart loving kids. I have come to a point in my life where the man that I trusted with our lives just decided to leave us with nothing. It is sad because he controlled everything and could care less about me and our kids well being. I have been a stay at home mother and I do not have any unnecessary bills. All I have is rent, utilities, food, car insurance and very little money for anything else. I want to go back to school to make something of myself but there are other things that stand in my way. I need a job but no one here will take a chance on me because I havent worked and I have no experience. I need money for everyday living and it makes it harder when I want to work and go to school and then I need money for a babysitter that I can trust with my kids. I am just so stressed that I cannot provide the things that I need for my kids. I here all the time about people going into debt and well I dont want to do that to myself or my kids. I want to have some stability for themand myself but it seems like I am getting nowhere and well the money that I still have will not last long. I am not sure what I am asking for I just know that I need help. I want to find a job at home but I cant invest the little money that I have. I have sold alot of my things to make more money and well that in itself makes me sad. I just really need something to help me get by. I would really love it if this site is real and well I am not afraid to talk to someone that is real and not looking to add to the stresses that I have. I am just so afraid that my kids will have to see the harsh realities of. I want to give them a roof over there head but I can only afford a few more months and I really dont know what to do. I just dont want them to feel in secure. I want the simple things in life but no one is willing to give me a chance to prove myself to them. Life is hard but it seems to want to keep me down rather than letting me and my family prosper.

 I have a list of things that I "WISH" I could have but then again I am not to lazy to make my wishes come true. I just need some help to be stabel enough to give my kids a home.I live in a small apartment and well to better understand my situation I am pretty much living off of 1500 a month and my rent is more than half that amount. I cant get a deposit for another place and well where I live it is a really reasonable price. My landlord is really nice and understanding but he is also struggling and well with 2 kids and we dont go shopping alot. Me and my kids have all second hand things, we eat canned goods most of the time, and we just spend time together so the good thing is that my kids dont need the fancy things to make them happy. They do want the new things but they know that I cant give it to them because I dont have the money. I would love to give them the nicer things for their birthdays and holidays but I cant sacrifice the money in that way. I am just feel so inadequate at times. I want to give them extra things because they are smart and deserve them but everything is so pricey. We rarely go to mcdonalds and when we go we only get the dollar menu thing and we go where we can get free refills. I mean that is a good thing but to have to explain to my little ones that I cant do more because mommy dont have the resources really makes me depressed. They dont know the things that I have to struggle with and I hope they never know but they see it and ask questions and I have to try and tell them something else that is positive. It becomes torture at times when they see the things that others recieve and how others indulge in the luxuries of life.

I am really looking forward to making a life with my kids but now I am trying to find some grants that I can apply for so that I can go back to school. I am having a hard time getting a job and finding needed help. I would really love it if people could help me financially but that is a dream in it self. I understand that people dont know if I am real or not but all I can say is that I am and if someone is generous enough to help me out they would be doing a great thing. I would be happy with 5 dollars I mean every little bit helps. I have really changed so much in my life to make a honest life with my kids and it hurts me that I cant give them the things that once had. They understand the situation a little but it still sucks for them because they are so young. I want to give them some security but here in hawaii it is quite difficult. I dont know what can help me but I just really dont want to go in to debt so that is why I am asking for help before we have to suffer more with those things. I am a open person and real as can be. I am not lying and well I hope that a decent person is willing to get to know me and my family enough to see that I am not scamming anyone. Hello Wonderful, Compassionate World!  Here is my story: 

Merciful Compassion 'Krapalu' Showing or giving mercy.

I am a single mother of an amazing little boy, who is the love of my life.  I worked my fingers to the bone in a great career, putting my blood, sweat and tears into a company for over 14 years.  It was the opportunity of a lifetime, and I was able to learn and grow with this company, starting out as a bookkeeper, and moving into a senior executive level.  I purchased our first home on my own, and it was our dream home.

My son's biological father was hardly ever involved in his life, never paid child support, and never helped with my child's insurance or any of the medical bills.  The father only came around to harass me when it was convenient for him.  After several volatile and abusive situations with this man, I finally decided that I needed to take legal action to rid myself of this man before my son witnessed my murder by him.

If anyone is familiar with our judicial system, it is not about right or wrong, or even the truth for that matter.  I hired an attorney to set up a Protective Order and Supervised Visits for my son because his father had already threatened to kill me, kidnap my son, and take him to Mexico where he owns property.   I took the high road during the entire litigation, always believing that the truth prevails.  Boy, was I in for a rude awakening.  The biological father put up the most vicious, vindictive fight against me, concocting the most malicious lies about me and tried to take my son from me.  Unfortunately, he was able to con an attorney to work Pro Bono for him, and I was in for the fight of my life. 

I do not come from a wealthy family at all, and worked very hard for everything that I had.  Well, the opposing counsel pulled many unethical and illegal manuevers during our litigation, and got my son's father out of over $20,000 in back child support, his portion of unpaid medical bills, and forced me to rack up over $200,000 in legal fees.  After four attorneys, selling my beloved home, losing everything I had worked so hard for, and going through my parents retirement funds, I kept custody of my son, but at a very high price.  On top of getting the father out of his financial responsibilities - the opposing counsel also got the child support payments reduced to nothing.  Please note:  the biological father is a trained nurse - but waits tables so he can hide his income and pay the lowest child support possible.

I had to sell my dream home to help pay legal fees in the fight for my child - but the worst part is that my parents had to help me with the rest of the legal fees and went through their entire life savings.  They are both retired and in their 60's and 70's.  They had been very frugal and spent their entire lives saving to have a decent retirement. 

Because of this litigation, my credit has been temporarily ruined after years of a pretty much perfect credit score, I owe my parents over $200,000, and have to start my life completely over from rock bottom.  My biggest heartbreak is that my parents are not even able to enjoy their golden years because of one very bad attorney, and my choice to leave an extremely abusive man.

I have been trying so hard to land a job, but with no luck.  I have asked friends and relatives for help, but no luck there either.

So here I am, On AIDPAGE.  I am completely broke, in serious debt, and desperately need help from any Angels out there.  I am not asking for a handout - I just truly need some help getting back on my feet to be self sufficient again.  My parents need my help.  My son needs me to be strong for him. 

I cherish helping and giving to the homeless.  I am very saddened that I am not in a position right now to be able to give back to those in need, but it is my top priority once I get back on my feet again.  Money and material possessions are worthless unless we continuously give back to those in need.

Thank you for reading my story.  If there is anyway that some Angel out there could see it in their heart to help me, my son, and my parents, the graciousness and gratefulness would be insurmountable.

Hi I am a 29 year old mother of 4 children and 2 step children. My husband was recently layed off. We were given a 2 bedroom trailer for 4 of us to live in. My 2 step children live with there mother and My older 2 are staying with my mother for school purposes. Hello, I am in need of help this Christmas, My husband lost his job and was denied unemployment. We have had utilities turned off because we couldn't pay our bills.
