Welcome! I would like to introduce myself. I am a 46 year old guy living with HIV, with a wife of 14 years and a wounderful, 12 year old son. I desperately need transportation. Walking far hurts too much now. I'm hoping to get a scooter & gear to save gas money. I'm hopefully returning to school tgis winter or next spring to learn a new career. We aren't making it just on my disability. Please, if you can help, I'll find some wat to pay you back. THANKS, Mike

I am here to solicit help for causes that I support that are being carried out by MEDA-USA in rural Cameroon.
This organization is made purely of volunteers who contribute money to help 22 villages in the Moghamo area of Cameroon, West Africa to sponsor kids orphaned by AIDS, provide scholarship to poor kids, to provide basic drinking water, to provide skills training to rural women.

Watch this video to learn more.

I really need help to make a difference.
Anything you can do will be very much appreciated.

I need some form of transportation. All I have for exchange is information, research, humor, advice and stories of a crazy life. Also, honesty, empathy and loyalty. Great listener!! I am not a person to take advantage. Life's dealt me some hard blows, but that's all the more reason to aid others. I feel a bit akward doing this, so I won't put my 'sob story' on here. If you would like more information, feel free to email me @ ataraxis420@yahoo.com (almost bought the farm 4/20/04). Hey, evena 'good luck' would help! :-)

I am bipolar, HIV+, and a recovering addict.  I used meth to try to ease the mental complications of bipolar and became addicted. I became infected with HIV in 2004 In the Spring of 2006, I knew that I had two choices...either keep using and die or get help and hope to live.  My clean date is April 20, 2006.

Since I have gotten clean, I have been recovering in all areas of my life.  The viral load is undetectable, the mood has stabilized, and I have grown spiritually in ways that I never imagined.

When I started recovery, I wasn't expecting to be able to pursue life dreams that I had buried years before.  I had grown up with the ambition of being a vocalist/actor/musician/composer.  I was building a successful career until a severe manic episode started in the Fall of 2002 which led to lose of business, family, friends and the start of an addiction to meth. When I decided to quit and get help, I just wanted to live to tell my story to others so that they may be spared becoming addicted or infected with HIV.

Last year, almost a year into my recovery, I started reading again.  I read books on spirituality and books that were inspirational.  I began to realize that not only could I dream again, but that my Higher Power wanted me to dream and dream big.  I began to think about what I should do with my new life and how did my old dreams fit in.  I decided that going back to school to study music composition would be the best thing I could do to manifest the knowledge I needed to tap back into the creative being I was put here to be.

I have applied to several universities and am so pleased to say that I was accepted into my first school of choice... I have been accepted into the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami to work toward a Master of Music in Media Writing and Production (composition/film scoring).  I have faith that this is where I am supposed to be and that all my needs will be met so that I may attend and give my full attention to my studies.  I don't know how, exactly, and I have learned that I don't have to know how the Universe works its wonders. However, I am planting the necessary seeds.

I heard recently that a seed holds the potential of a thousand forests. I plan to use my education not only for pursuing a professional career... I hope to pass on the knowledge I gain to future students of music and students of Life.

Living With An STD

Back when I was just a teenager I ended up getting an STD that was over 10 years ago and yep still got it.

People don't really relize just how easy it is. I wasn't a slut or an easy girl I only had two boyfriends in highschool. Any way because my man of five years left me and now I'm all alone I decided to give something back and build a community where people like me can find love without the hassle of telling them that I'm essencially damaged goods.

It was reasonably hard to do as I'm not very tech savy but I did get a friends of mine to give me a hand. Its a pretty good little STD Dating site and it's free with no ads or anything just there to help out all the people that are going through the same thing I am. Plus it kept me bussy for a while and got my mind off of all the other crap I was dealing with.

Hello, I am a 46 year old woman living alone.  I have been HIV positive since 1993.  I am on SSI and Section 8 helps pay my rent.  I am having a really hard time financially right now.  I only receive $98 per month in food stamps and my cupboards are bare.  My car that I have been driving for the past 10 years has finally decided to play out.  I am in desperate need of a car so that I can get to my doctor appts, physical therapy, pain mgmt., etc.   And not only do I need a vehicle for my medical appts but also for my quality of life.  I am very independent and I dont like to ask for a ride every time I need to go somewhere.  Sometimes I like to just get in the car and ride out through the beautiful countryside here in GA just to clear my mind of all the stuff I'm dealing with.   My credit is horrible and I only recieve a little over $600 per month to survive on.  Does anybody have any ideas on how I can acquire a dependable vehicle.  I really am desperate and completely stressed out about this.  And stress is detrimental to my health.  I am very proud of my independence and capabilities, I dont like to ask for help, but when I know I have no other choice I have to set my pride aside and ask......so thats what I'm doing here....I'm asking for some much needed help.
