We are a low income family looking for assistane to help us make it! Ok let me get a little bit more into detail on how we need help. My husband is a Iraqi veteran he is 27 yrs old and is now disabled he was injured in iraq, and when he came home was discharged from the military. I am unable to work out of the home due to this and our 3 children. We live in government housing and would really like to have our own home. please any info possible would be great!

Hi! I am 46 years old . I have FSH Muscular Dystrophy.  I had to quit teaching ten years ago, and my life came to an abrupt stop! I was the mom who went everyhere with her kids, and usually several of their friends. I LOVED it!  My husband usually didn't participate, and besides, we didn't ever really get along that well.  It's not really that fun to DRAG someone along when they don't want to go! He always made sure if he was miserable, everybody was miserable!  Anyway, I got sick and could no longer drive, so I have been dependent on him for the last ten years.  He takes good physical care of me, but his looks and attitude let me know daily that he doesn't like having to do it!  I'm a very independent person, and I won't ask  for help unless I've tried every way possible to do it myself.  Sometimes I just go without!!  I basically haven't been out of the house in the last three yrs.  I got an electric wheelchair in Dec.,but I can't get out because I don't have a ramp. My husband promised to have one built, but its been 7 months. I need some help finding a way to pay for a ramp!  A grant, or loan; anything I could figure out to get one built!  Please help me! I need some fresh and sunshine. I am so bored, I'm going crazy.  If I could get outside, I could worrk in my flower beds!!  Any ideas wiil help!  Thanks for listening! 

i am 33 wife,  mother,  i have a brain tumor, and pancreatitis, i am a member of a church, love life, nature, do not like news, don't care for politics, my girls are my life as well as my hubby and god is #1 in my life.

Hello there,

    My husband who was semi-retired, is now severely disabled due to amputations of

both legs. He has undergone 4 surgeries in the past 6 weeks and has been in the

hospital since April 13th. He came home this week and is bed/wheelchair bound.

We have no means of transportation for him due to his severe physical state.

He also had a stroke in Oct. '07, which left his left side with extreme weakness,

therefore, he has use of only one limb.

  I would love to be able to have the means to transport him myself. If anyone has

ever been on this journey, it's quite difficult to work to pay bills and full-time care

for a loved one in this state.

Mother of 5 year old with Leukemia and Developmental delays. I am needing help with transportation costs and related expenses of getting him back and forth to do the doctor and therapy sessions.

Hi my name is Sheena. My husband Daniel has glioblastoma brain cancer.  I had to stop working to take care of him because the tumor left him very weak on his left side and he had chemo and radiation for 6 weeks which would have made it very hard to babysit.  I have started to babysit again now that he doesn't have as many doctors apointments.  I am just having a little trouble paying some bills for this month.  I will be recieving my first check for babysitting in the second week of May but that isn't soon enough for the bills that need to be paid this month.  Any help that we could get would be greatly appreciated.  I figured that we need around $1500.00 for this months payments. 

We are working with a family that takes in small disabled children and need a wheel chair carrier in order to transport the chair(s) safely on the car. The state does not cover the cost for foster parents and it has become a need item instead of a want item due to the children she takes in. Thankyou. Sami077@aol.com
