In December of 2004 my daughter was diagnosed with a rare condition called Severe Idiopathic Infantile Scoliosis. Now Scoliosis can be somewhat common in adolescent children but is very rare in children under 3. As a fact of matter less then 1-2% of children under the age of 3 in the world will ever get this and less then 10% of those children will ever need treatment, my daughters condition is considered so rare because her spine developed below her left shoulderblade and has deformed her ribcage due to the bend in her back, possibly causing problems with things like her breathing and putting pressure on her heart. Even if we get her spine straightnened, she very well will still need rib replacement surgery.

This condition is treatable and she will go on to hopefully lead a somewhat normal life, but currently requires surgery every 6 weeks and she will need therapy and bracing probably until she is 14 and has stopped developing and will probably need some sort of treatment for the rest of her life.

Shriners childrens hospital in Portland Oregon has been a god send and is taking care of surgery and medical needs by donation for us after our insurance company dropped us with no warning and has been everything to us. But we are experiencing other expenses we cannot afford. We have to drive a thousand miles round trip every 6 weeks for her surgeries and they do not pay for things like hotel. Also we have had to continously buy new clothes to fit her in her casts and special shoes due to her delayed walking, car seats to transport her in, Pediasure to boost her weight (risser casts can be hard on little bodies, destroying up to 10% of her muscles)and various other things included other medical visits outside of Shriners that we have to keep. Me and my husband both work, but with 2 children and bills, it seems impossible to keep up.

We are desperate for any kind of assistance or help, would be greatly appreciated, and smiled upon by our daughter. Please help us at the shot we might be able to give her a somewhat normal life with the help of kind souls. I love everyone for there help, if even just reading this has brought a little attention to other people with this disorder.

My name is Rich, and I wish I could help all of those in need. I realize money isn’t everything but here in America without it you don’t have a place to sleep or eat. I am very disappointed in the way our society is heading. It seems to me that there are not enough people that take the time to stop and care about someone else besides themselves. Credit, Medical, Insurance and banking has been an approved vehicle in our country to hinder the struggling by high interest penalties for bad credit, enormous fees for overdrafts and our medical system pushes those away who don’t have insurance, and insurance companies are all about the good old dollar which wont be worth nothing in the next two years.
We have came full circle, and with our earths most precious resource gasoline! We have no more and when it is all used up the US dollar won’t mean anything for even those who have plenty. The rich will not have enough money in the world to stop what is coming. Our government lies to us and tells us we are fighting for our protection, so we continue to give up more and more of our freedoms to feel warm and fuzzy. The real reasons we are over seas is to control the remainder of the oil resources as our country uses 25% of the world oil. See its all about money!
Ask yourself what will happen when we run out of oil! We now are willing to strip down to our feet in order to board a plane and even allow our phone calls to be monitored. Gay is ok in our schools and on TV, and we are expected to accept things that we no are wrong. I pray that Jesus will return soon to help us all so please follow his word.
We now have police in our children’s schools; the government wants our guns so we can’t defend ourselves when the oil crisis begins. We now have legalized loan sharking – Check Rite – Car title loan places who will take Grandmas social security check knowing she will be indebted to them for the rest of her life, and that’s OK! We used to think the Mob was bad but at least they did in the open without hiding and they didn’t even charge high interest, all they wanted was their money back. Banks and Mortgage institutions will penalize you for bad credit and jack up your home interest rate knowing that if you fail they get your home, equity and all of your hard work to improve the home. That legal! Credit card companies jack your interest up so high when you become late and you can never get out of this debt while they know how to recover their money through attorneys and government. That’s legal!
I am not trying to be negative, but such is the reality, I care for those who struggle and I am struggling too! I am 45 years of age and faced with IRS problems, money problems, ect. And do you think anyone cares? I am very capable and don’t want government hand outs because they are the problem and they know it. I hope God will bless us and help us find a more comfortable way to survives here in our country until the end finally comes. Angel investors, Grants, Free Money what a joke!
It is my opinion if people cared for their fellow neighbor more and lend a helping hand we would not be in this bad of shape. All I have to say is I am preparing my mental attitude for what is about to come and I am going to protect my children and loved ones and still try to be giving and caring. We all need money, and I wish you had enough to at least enjoy, and support your families while our time on earth lasts. God Bless.
I have never taken out bankruptcy and I can’t even afford an attorney to do so. Life is full of those who will continue to attack and beat you while your down, but I say have faith.  Who cares? Right! The sun will be up in the morning and it will be business as usual.

I am Andrew's aunt, I live on the other side of the United States from his mom (my sister) and him, they have had a really bad time for the last few months.  His mother has been diognosed with Pancrititis, her pancreas is shutting down, and we have no idea how much longer she will be with us.  Andrew is 4 years old and your typical hand full.  How his mother is able to cope with him running and playing while she is in so much pain is amazing.  She can not take the pain pills, because they make her so out of it that she can't cope with Andrew.

Their main problem has been their furnace is an oilheated one.. this costs them on the average around $450 a month. The rent and utilities on top of that makes it very hard to get by from one month to the other.  Plus now her car is broke down, it is rough.

What his mom would love to see is a nice Christmas, they have a tree set up from last year, but there will be no presents under it. If any one out there knows of somewhere they could get a little help it would be wonderful.

I am not able to return to work for two more weeks and my husband is being laid off from his job as a firefighter in three weeks. We need help making this months house payment and bills which we are behind on. We have no money for food or warm clothes for our new baby. Hi I'am looking for help to pay credit card bills i have due to being on medical leave from a nerve injury in my face from a wisdom tooth removal. It has been hell to say the least. Iam in pain every day. I have a numb chin and lip that burn and my teeth hurt terribly. I take so much medication that Iam not myself and have a hard time remembering and functioning daily. I have been this way since Aug.1 06  and now need a nerve exploration surgery out of my state to see just what damage was done to the nerve and to decide if we need to kill the nerve to stop the terrible pain then i will be numb on my left bottom side of my face for life. I will feel as if i have novacain in my face from the dentist forever. oh joy. Well i could sure use some help to get out of debt while i have a disability case pending. I wake up in panic everyday. When my eyes open my heart starts to pound and i sweat and feel ill because of my debt and what is due today. I have never been in this position in my 41 years. Iam a single mom and have worked and raised my daughter and now i am in trouble all because i went to have a tooth pulled. I cant believe it. Depresson has set in and life has just not been good for a year now and  i dont know what to do to catch up. Thanks. Lisa

Hello, My name is Tim C. I am 35 yrs old married with 5 great kids. I do not use drugs and I have worked to give my kids all they need but I have not had any dentel coverage for 12 yrs. I have lost my top teeth. I only have 3 left up top. My teeth on the bottom are not much better. When my wife and I got married we smiled alot now I don't smile or kiss her much any more. My kids are great and smile alot. I wont to be able to join them and not embarust. Money is always tite and I do not have the means to get a smile as a gift to my wife and family. I need help please.
