I am a disabled individual, being evicted from a Section 8 Housing assistance program. I have a landlord, that is having me evicted, for my  complaints about the laundry facilities being vented thru my apartment.I have reported the landlord and to the  City Inspectors Dept ,he refuses to vent properly and I have severe asthma. He further informs me my entire apartment needs to be dregged out to install new venting which is a lie, a dryer is vented to the out side of a building, not thru a living residence. My parents have offered a peice of land on their farm to place a mobile home,I can not afford this and neither can they,I was wondering if their are grants for Disabled ppl. to move to a rural area or assistance in helping me receive a grant to purchase a mobile home? I have many physical disabilities and will require help in taking care of myself, which if I could move to my families, small acreage, they can help care for me,but they are not in a financial situation to provide me with a place to live on that acreage. All this too depends on if the zoning board will approve a varience to place a mobile home on,which could take up to 2~3 months to be approved. Is there anyone who could advise me on some assistance? I am not looking for a hand out just a decent place to live before the pollution that I have endured for 2 and one half years now degrades my health even further.Thank -You Very Much. Dawn Gayle. May God bless you,Abundantly.

Our mission is to assist families that are in need of emergency assistance and also to assist children of incarcerated parents year round, so they will know that someone is there for them. I have been in some situations and I am not really 100% together, but then who is? We do not have the funds yet, but is seeking to kick off this non profit service. I am going back to NIU  and there are just people out there like my children and myself that do not know where else to turn after you have tried everything and truly tried everything to make ends meet so you won't loose your car or your house. So, instead of just giving up i'm going back to school. It is very hard..nothing is really easy. I just don't want my kids to feel neglected because every job I get downsizes or sales the property or the company. I know there is somewhere outhere that can help, I just don't know where. When I do get back on track my mission is to make others happy and provide some relief from the struggles of everyday life for people who really get up and get out there to be a better people to their self and their children. I am still reading the info on here how to actually operate this site so, if I did something incorrecty I do apologizeGod bless anyone who is really out there trying to make a better like. I really mean it. Just pray pray pray and you will receive if you believe.

Hi,

My name is Ashley, i'm 20 years old, I live with my mom and my younger sister who is 18. We desperately need help. I almost feel ashamed for even being on this site and asking, and I feel bad because that there are so many others out there that have worse situations.

My family has never had much money, but until I was 15 we survived. When I was 15 my dad died, and we were left to fend for ourselves. I started working eight days after the law said it was legal...eight days after I turned 14. After my dad died I worked as much as possible. My sister started work young as well. My mom hopped from job to job trying to find the best one for us. The past couple of years she has been sick on and off due to her many health problems. Recently, the past two months, she has been completely off work due to kidney stones putting her in and out of the hospital and endless surgeries (which we have no insurance for, and we are currently at around $30,000 bills). I work in retail and make hardly anything. My sister does as well, and she is still in high school. I am in school as well at a community college.

We are about to lose our house. My sister gets Social Security from when my dad died, until just today we found out they wanted to cut it off. Social Security is -the- only thing keeping us afloat right now.

We need help bad, and right away. The local churches won't help us. We've tried looking so many places. I just don't know what to do.

If anyone can think of anything or can do anything, our appreciation would not be measureable....

Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this. Thank you so much....

Ashley

Hi,  my name is Mark and for over two years I have been collecting hygiene items and clothes and walking the street of Chicago to distribute them.  I spend 1/4 of my income on this activity, and 50% of my free time.  I have created a little network of people that help me collect these items by either donating clothes, or buying travel-seize toiletries, or organizing collections at work or school.  I was wondering if there was someone who could help me further develop this idea.  I DO NOT NEED MONEY (I don't give money to the homeless) but I could use help in the form of   1) Ideas on what area I should focus more (for examples, there are many kitchen soups in the city so I collecting food is probably not necessary) but there are not many place where people can take a shower or  where they can get baby clothes, toiletries etc.  Every opinion is welcome.   2) Storage places...if you have a little storage room or a facility with a shower and would be willing to rent it 1-2 a week, this could be a place where people could take a shower (I'd be willing to pay a little amount, including bills).  3)  Or if you have an old van and would be willing to use it to distribute these items once a week or so.

I guess you have an idea of what kind of help I am looking for.  The idea is give precedence to young homeless people/women but of course we try and help anyone whi asks for it.  We do not collect money because of scams and other obviuos problems.  I am also willing to help people here on aidpage, but please only in-kind donations and no money.  I hope to hear from many people.  Please contact me at mark_sh_07@yahoo.com.

I'm in a situation and I don't know what to do.  I have no one to turn to and I feel completely lost.  I'm behind two months on my mortgage payment; I have absolutely no money for my other bills, I work full time, I don't eat out I only use my money for groceries, to pay the bills that I can, and to keep my son in daycare.  I have a mortgage if 872.00 a month, $325 car payment that I can't give up because my mom co-signed on it and I need a car for work, I am just lost and have no idea what I'm going to do.  I just can't lose my house; I can't.  I feel like giving up sometimes, you know.  I have worked so hard to get where I'm at and now, I'm about to lose it all.  If anyone can help me and my son out just temporarily until I can get things organized and put together, I would really appreciate that.  I don't know what else to do.  I really don't.  I'm completely lost and desperate at this point.  I've thought about doing some really horrible things just to make some fast money.  Please, if you can help, let me know.
Thank you.

Greetings!!!

I am a single parent of a 10 yr old boy, who is excellent all around.  He is an "A" student and he deserves the best.  The reason I am coming to this page for assistance is because I have been out of work since March of 2005 and I am currently interviewing and hoping for something in the New Year.  I am in need of financial assistance, my rent is due and I have one check left on unemployment of $308 coming to me on the 11th of January.  I am looking for a position and I know I will secure something in the next 30 days.  However, I need assistance for the upcoming month, with rent and my current household utilities.  I used all of my 401k up in supporting my family during the last 9 months.  I am sincerely seeking assistance from anyone who can assist my family.

I am afraid of a posssible eviction if I do not have the monthly rental payment and I just don't want my child to go through that stress.

Sincerely

Jackie

My name is Adam Bryan.  The reason I am writing today is my family and I are in need of help.  You see, I have Acute Bi-Polar disorder and am unable to hold down a job.  I try VERY hard, but something always happens.  I have been out on unpaid medical leave for about a month now.  My bills are to many to list, and we are about to lose our house.  I have been praying for a miracle lately, and today I ran across your information (googled 'in need of help'.)  In reading about you and your organization, a shred of hope has filled my soul.

I have no where left to turn, and am feeling hopless at the moment.  I did not ask for this disease!  Sometimes I wonder why God allows stuff like this.  I realize I am a spec in his master plan, and am trying my best to believe that I am going through this turmoil for a reason.  But it is hard to maintain any hope when you are watching your life come apart at the seems and there is nothing in my power that I can do about it.

If you know of any organizations that can help us, please forward the information to me.  Additionaly, if you wish to speak with me over the telephone my contact information is listed below.

Thank you!

We are a family of 4 that ran into some financial difficulty at the start of summer.  My fiance and I have been together since 1997 and have two boys that we care and love deeply.  My fiance works full time in food service and I work part time in school transportation.  Both of our kids do  go to school (one starting kindergarden, the other starting 3rd grade).  Although I do have an associates degree, it is hard for me to find a career that I want and with childcare being costly.

I am off for the summer due to school being off so I spend my time with our children, leaving my fiance the only one working.  It left us struggling to have food on the table and bills paid on time.  We were lucky to have my mom buy food for me and the church to help out with food and rent but it is only temporary.  We are still behind on our bills.

What made our situation worse was recently, my fiance got into an accident.  He is okay though, the car-however, has front end damage, leaving us with another worry on our minds.  Good thing that we have insurance on the car-we only have to pay a $500 deductible which we plan on paying that after we are more financially secure-maybe the end of the year.

If anyone can help out a bit until we are back on our feet, we'd greatly appreciate it.  I go back to work at the end of August when school is open but we will still be behind and it will be a while and we will be playing the catch up game.  I am pretty sure that we will be okay and good to go by October 07.

Here is a list of our bills that need attention:

  1. Rent:  $1000 a mo
  2. Elect: $400
  3. Gas:  $400
  4. Water: $150
  5. Car note:  $370
  6. Car insurance:  $180

Also money for food will be great as well if anyone can help out.

If you would like to help us, we have a paypal account that you can send funds.  Just private message me and I will send you my paypal email address  We don't have much in return but we already made a promise with our church that once we are able to, to give money back to the church to be able to help others who are like us, running into financial difficulty.  We're not a family who takes advantage of others.  We try to help others out the best that we can.

Thank you.

I am in need of help now

My name is Kari and I am not sure where to go with my problem.  I have exhausted all of my options, and if someone here can't help me, I don't know what I am going to do.  Here is my story... Two months ago I was forced to leave my job as a sales associate in a department store.  I was forced to leave.  If I didn't leave I would have been fired.  I missed too many days because of complications from being pregnant.  I ended up having a miscarrage.  I ended up with no job, $3000 in medical bills, and a very strained relationship with my boyfriend.  I  started looking for a new job and wasn't too worried.  I have a college education and didn't think that finding a new job would be so difficult.  Two months went by and I had emptied my bank account and maxed out my credit card.  The pregnancy and financial hardship has ruined my relationship with my boyfriend, who I live with.  We have broken up but still have to live together.  I can't pay my bills or my share of the rent.  It has gotten so bad that he does not want to live with me anymore.  I can't even afford to feed myself.  My ex boyfriend is never home so he doesn't buy food.  I have no money and can't even afford to go to the grocery store so I can eat.  I am going to bed hungry tonight while he is out.  I live in the city and don't drive.  I can't even afford to pay for the bus or the train.

The good news at the end of this is that I have been offered a job... a very well paying job, and I start on Monday, June 25th.  The bad news is that I can't support myself until I get my first paycheck.  Right now I can't even afford transportation to and from work.

I have exhausted all of my options and don't know where to turn.  I am so depressed and worried about my future, and I am scared because I have never been in a situation like this.  I have asked friends for money, but they can't give much.  Both of my parents have died and so I can't turn to them.  I tried to file for unemployment, but I don't qualify because I voluntarily left my job... eventhough I would have been fired.  I have tried to get so many loans, but don't qualify.  I can't get a payday loan because I haven't started my new job yet  and they can't verify employment.  I can't get approved for another credit card.  I have nothing of any real value to sell.  I don't know what else I can do.

I am so scared that I am going to end up homeless and that I am not going to be able to even get to my new job.  I keep thinking that this is only temporary situation, and things will get better, but I really don't know what I am going to do.  I am not necessarily looking for money, although a small loan would help. I just want to hear some suggestions on what I can do.  I will be so grateful for any help and will do what ever I can do to help others on here in the future.   I am desperate and willing to do anything to get out of this situation.

I am a single father of 2 amazing kids. life has thrown my a couple of curve balls. I was passed on some thing called  Rickets, basicly my legs are weak, and I have been walking on cruthches for many years. But I hold my head up hi, and constantly strugle to maintain a good life for my boys. There mother is a looser and gave me custody. wich I am thankful for but it is so hard. Not to sound cocky, but I am briliant, the things I could do with my life, I just dont seem to catch a break. LIFE IS GOOD. regardless of any situation. I walk on crutches, but am more active than any healthy male I know. In time some thing good will come my way! I have been building and designing motor driven vehicles since 1989.Go karts, ATV's, bikes, then cars. I got to be real good with the automotive industry, and still am exelling. But being on crutches does'nt exactly fit the feild. 40-48hrs a week wrenchin is hard on me but I do it. My mind is exploding constantly. Ideas, inventions, money, success. It never stops. So I ask. Do you know were this mind can be applied for the expanchion of a business.

My unborn baby Landen needs your help, so he can get his surgery

My due date is May23rd of 2007. My unborn baby has a diaphragmatic hernia. His liver, stomach, intestines, are up in his chest preventing his lungs from developing. My son has a 50/50 chance of living, even with the surgery. He needs all the financial help he can get in order to give him a fighting chance, in battling the surgery. If my son does make it through surgery he will have to be in an intensive care until for several months.  I live in southern IL, and we have to travel to Philadelphia, were he will be delivard and took care of. Philadelphia has been ranked the #1 childrens hospital in the world for the last 7 years. The best surgeon in the world, for children will be doing his surgery. While we have our house and bills here in southern il, and having to move to philadelphia for who knows how long, plus my sons medical bills, is putting alot of financial stress on us. We really need all the help we can get. I'm only 22 years old,and with my family not being around or supportive, all we have is my husbands family, and they are poor like everyone else. They are trying there best to help us, but like everyone, there isn't enough to go around.

If you want to  donate, we have opend an account in our unborn son's  name. Its under Landen MatteHayden, and the bank is called ( Bank Of Marion) you can tell them  to put it in the unborn childs account by telling them his name.  Any other donations will be very greatful as well. A gitf card for stores, resturaunts, and thing like that, even supplies, it don't matter. I will put it in a auction to help raise money for my son's surgery. Thank you so much for your time. Please keep my son in your prayers. If you are unable to donate, please just tell your friends and family. We need all the help we can get.

I am a 53 year old divorced woman. I worked as an executive assistant for over 30 years.
Need Help desperately!

I am a loving mother, with 2 kids and one on the way...  Me and my fiance are starting out in Illinois trying to make a future... We have nothing.  We live with family that are struggeling, and that makes it harder for us to find a place of our own, because we feel obligated to try to help them in any way possible.  Now they are having to sell the house and move to South Carolina.... So we need to hurry up and get money to be able to live on our own, sooner than we thought... We saw a car for sale for 500 dollars, and we really need it, but don't have the money to buy it.  If anyone has an extra $500.00 for us to get this car, that would help us out SO MUCH!! It's a 92 honda accord with 135k miles.  It has a little body damage to the front, but it's still drivable.  It runs perfect too!  Can anyone help with the money to buy the car?  Any amount will help.. we need to buy it before someone else does... because it's such a great price!   Thank you, and God bless.
