I am an unemployed 26 year old mother of a 7 year old child. I would like to go back to school because now an associates degree is not enought to live off of in the state of NY. Unfortunately due to my previous employer the company downsized and I was laid off. since then I have tried to search for employment on my own but the cost became to expensive. Now I had to apply for welfare and the employment search assistance program allows me to sit from 9-5 with nothing to do. They will not allow me to go to school in the am hours becuase its unfair to them that they have to work and go to school. I would go to school at night but now my situation turns in to a babysitting issue. I also feel a single mother she be able to be there for her child in the pm hours to help her child better her self in school. Now I am left emptyless and no where to turn .. I have no family I was a orphan of the state sice the age 7 to the age 19. and then released because I was considered an adult and not a child. I am struggling to pay rent by staying with my abusive exboyfriend and living as a prisioner in my home. All I want is my life back. A chance to better my self and become self sufficient so that I will not be classified as another statistic

Most people going to college get one scholarship and then apply for a student loan to cover the rest of their educational expensis.   This is OK, but student loans have to be paid back.  They cannot be forgiven even with Bankruptcy.  The only way out of a student loan is by dying or becoming so disabled that you can not work.

But there is no need to get a student loan.  You can get as many scholarships as you want to pay for your schooling.  There is no limit on how many you can have.  And you can get grants to pay for all the rest.  All it takes is a little effort on your part to hunt down and apply for these scholarships and grants.

I'm a female senior in college in great need of financial assistance.  I'm majoring in electrical engineering and currently this is sixth week of classes, and I do not a single textbook for any of my classes.  Unfortunately, my financial aid did not cover the entire cost of attendance this semester, leaving me with a balance of $8000 dollars on my account.

Hello, I am  the mother of a wonderful 10 yr old son.  He is intelligent, energetic, shy, and eager to learn exciting things.  Our children are not getting what they really need from the public schools provided in minority neighbourhoods.  I really want my son to attend the Marcus Garvey School in Los Angeles,CA.  I cannot afford it though.  I was in the military for 11 years.  I recently got out so that I could go to Nursing School, so that I can afford things like this for Brandon.  I will not be done for @ 5 years though.  In the mean time, I do not want him to fall through the cracks like too many of our sons and daughters do.  I am looking for a scholarship/ grant to help pay the tuition.

I WANT TO START A DRIVER EDUCATION COURSE IN MY PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL.

College tuition at Embry Riddle Aronautical University is approxiamately $25,000 per year.  Although the tuition is high, I have a great desire to graduate through their Electrical Engineering program.  I am an independent struggling to provide the neccessities of life along with college tuition; I currently attend Yavapai College in Cottonwood, AZ.  I'm maintaing a G.P.A. of 3.3 while working full-time.  I am a Hispanic of 19 years old and possess great goals in life.  I hope to begin accomplishing them by attending Embry Riddle, changing the outcome of my future. 

I would like to find grant money so that I may finish getting my degree for a BA in Accounting and to also obtain a BA in Business Management.  To have both of these degrees would benefit me and my family and my business.  The monies that I receive would allow me to pay for all of my education needs.  Such as books, supplies, fees, tution, living expenses and transportation.

I am seeking monies to help pay for my continued education.  I am completing my bachelors in Information Technology.  I wish to continue on with my masters degree so that I can better my life and carerr and hopefully send my wife and three daughters to a better education that I originally received.
