a little update for everyone.... I still havent gotten any funding to help with my schooling. I did have an offer from a member for assistance but then they sort of disapeared. I was kind of hurt by that but I am doing all right. I have a GPA of 3.5, which is excellent for me concidering the stress I am under. I have desided to continue my education in syracuse for a masters in architecture and I would like to design hospitals and hotels. My children will be in school by that point and I want it so bad I dont care if I run my debt into the ground. So I am taking out student loans to help with my education. I have already borrowed 10,000 dollars on top of my tuition each year. I need it for many things. But I appreciate the help that everyone has offered, especially the wizard. I have come to the conclusion that there are not any education grants for my situation. At least from what I undterstand in the eligability sections. I could have miss understood but if anyone knows anything else that might help then please write to me. Thanks again!

I am a mother who has recently become disabled. I am attempting to get help through Social Security, but this can take up to 30 months. I have had 14 surgeries in the past. I am on 7 different medications daily and it takes all the money I can get to purchase it.

My daughter has ADHD, acid reflux, and suffers from depression. She is on 3 medications  and luckily she qualifies for help on her medicines since she is a child.

My ex-husband is over $45,000.00 in arrears on child support. They say he is on the "locate" list. This means that they cannot find him by putting his name in a computer. He is now listed on Georgia's Most Wanted Child Support Evaders list. I put up a link to that page as he is listed now. If you see him, turn him in. He has warrants issued for his arrest in Stephens County, Georgia.

We don't have ANY money for Christmas this year, and all the charities around my area only want to help people who have children under the age of 12. I am a 30 yr old single mother of 2 residing in Connecticut. I am currently working as a casino dealer , very odd hours..my shift is 5am -1pm. and only scheduled 2-3 days a week. I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome ( yes it is a very real sickness) which makes it very hard to function outside of home. I also have recently been told that I have Spina Bifida (don't know why it wasn't found when I was born ??!!) I would like to be able to work from home and spend more time with the kids. I dont want to have to apply for disability because I would like to have my own little business and have things to do.  I also would like to own my own home one day. My name is Ashley, I'm 19 years old, and I'm the single mother of a 10 month old little girl.  I work full time as a secretary in Cape Coral, FL.  I make just enough money to not qualify for financial aid, but not enough to make ends meet.  I'm behind on bills, and can't seem to catch up.  I've tried to find higher paying jobs, and have found them - but they're too far away.  I never learned to drive so I must take the bus.  I've found great jobs that would be a maximum of 30 minutes away by car but end up being 4 hours away when taking the bus because of the area.  8 hours of travel time (to and from) just isn't plausible so I seem to be pretty well stuck.

I wear glasses and normally need a stronger prescription every 6 months.  I haven't had my eyes checked in 2 years.  I can see just enough to get by, but I'm slower at work than I would normally be (I do a lot of data entry), and I'm tired of the migraines.  I can't afford an eye exam, though. 

My daughter is behind on her shots but we don't have insurance to get her to a pediatrician, and I've been told about free clinics, but I can't get time off work when they're open (nor do I have anyone to take her for me as my mother is the one that babysits and she does not have a car and it always too tired to walk to the bus stop).  Not to mention her grandmother is of poor health and would rather not have to babysit everyday, but I can't afford daycare and I don't know anyone else.

What I need as far as help goes... Well, anything really.  Whether it be advice, financial support, emotional support, whatever.  One thing after another - things just keep piling up.  I'm mentally exhausted, and at a loss as to how to get my life on track.  If any kind souls out there would like to lend a hand, I'd be extremely appreciative.

I had a major car accident in June of this year - I was run off the road and hit a tree - the other driver left the scene and I was knocked unconcious - I was left with a broken back and had to recover in the hospital.  My truck was totalled - the insurance didn't cover anything.  A friend gave me an old car but it just died - I have been working hard to try to get caught up - Since I now have no car and no funds I am left without a vehcile to get to work and make money.  There are no bus lines in the small city I live in and I have no family to speak of to help me.  My childrens father is not to be found and abandoned our family 6 years ago.  I have worked very hard to provide for my 3 sons - and purchased a home this past January.  Now - I am behind on my new mortgage due to the accident and have over $20k in doctor bills.  I am willing to pay back anyone who would give me a loan.  I am desperate at this point and really need help.

I am 24 years old and a happy mother of two little boys, ages 4 and 2. I am dovorced and my ex has moved out of state. I do recieve aid from the state for child care, some school fees, gas money for driving to school, and food, and monthly bills. I am not asking help to pay bills, but a one time assistance in getting a new used vehicle for me and my boys to help finish my externship to graduate. I am not one to ask for help, I try to make it on my own until i have no other choice to ask for help. I am in desperate need to get a vehicle to drive to my externship site, I have just alittle under a month left until i graduate and can start my career as a vet assistant.

My hobbies are taking my kids to the duck pond, zoo, and i also write poetry and short stories. I am a family person and just trying to make it and give my kids what they deserve. Hello, I am 31 years old. I have three children.  I lost my job 12-31-06.  I worked there for over three year just to be told they didn't need me anymore.  I have  been struggling for awhile to make ends meet on unemployment.  To make things worse I have had to deal with a teenage runaway.  I am doing all I can  and don't ask for help.  It is getting so bad I am afraid I am about to lose everything I have worked so hard for.  I am 1440 behind on rent 860 behind on car and 21/2 months behind on lights. Florida does not help their residents.  All the programs are months of waiting or on a phone to call a place that is out of funds.  I need help fast. and I am really struggling with the fact where is my God right now.  I am not really seeing anyone actually getting help on here someone please surprize me.  This is so terrible that life has gotten to this point.  I have never seen the rightous forsaken or their young begging bread.  So do something already.  I am beyond disappointed at this moment.  I am the person that takes care of the poor and now where is my help? 

After, being on here for about a week, I am so disappointed with the heart of man..  I have seen the most abrasive insensive ppl i have ever seen.  I don't know why this site was created. I was taught as a child to love others as you love yourself.  The law of God in a nut shell is to love you neighbor as yourself.  So why create a site to aid if you allow ppl to come on here and put down ppl for asking for help.  Does anyone know the point in life that you have to be to even do this.  I am not one to ask for help.  The very fact I am on here, to anyone who knows me, knows it is bad.  Just to let you know, this isn't a picnic.  This isn't a living, this is the last resort.  Then the ppl on here have the nerve to say God bless after they critize you.  Are you kidding me?  Please STOP disgracing his precious name and go somewhere where miserable heartless monsters go.  If you are here to help ppl and make a difference,  THANK YOU!!  You know what, all I hear is scams.  Well, I am sure there are ppl out there who are scamming and hitting the flames of hell in a blaze of force.  Instead of thinking who is out to take me, think about why is your purpose to do the real work of God HELP OTHERS.  Not that you shouldn't protect yourself but, don't let it stop you from doing a GOOD WORK.  If you are really here for the right reasons, pray that God forgive you for treating ppl less fortunate than yourself badly.  If you are here for real help cause crap happens in life,  don't listen to ppl like this cause there is real christians out there.  Those ppl that are doing this are not real christians and have no place or purpose on this aid page.  I promise they won't be in heaven where some of these unfortunate ppl they don't like will be. i am a divorced single mother of two kids.... the best kids... one boy 10 years old and one girl 8 years old.  They try so hard to make me happy and proud that it should be the least i can do to provide them with toys, etc. when they have done so good all year.  I have no family or anyone I can ask for help from, but I try to take care of myself and kids without asking for help.  I try and try and try but this year I need help so badly! I have been sick and my car has just about died on me three times.  I have repair bills over $1,000 and my car isn't even worth that much.  I just don't know what else to do to make things better for me but especially for my kids. Hello there! I'm new to this but I'll see if I can do this right the first time.

I'm 48 years old and have worked in the computer business for more than 25 years. That's about as long as you CAN work with desktop computers because I was involved from the beginning of the PC "revolution!"

I lost my job last year when my boss was caught stealing from the government agency we worked for. I guess he thought if he got rid of the computer person (me) he might be able to get away with it and things would settle down for him. Well, they didn't. I was highly involved in the investigation and he eventually went to jail for a couple of months, will serve 4-5 years probation as well as house arrest. restitution, etc. Meanwhile - I'm still out of work. I do have a Whistleblower suit pending, and think a nice settlement will eventually be made, but that could take another year or two. But at least I should be able to help others then. :)

I was able to hang in there quite well for a while, but had to give up my COBRA insurance in November of 2006. In December I found breast cancer. I have some other serious health issues that add to the mix, but I just recently found a doctor to help with that, thank goodness. So all in all, I'm doing pretty well - but I do get quite sick and extremely tired from the chemo. I'm halfway through that now and then will have more surgery. I've had two major surgeries so far but they haven't been completely successful. And of course I haven't been able to work and even if  I could physically it certainly wouldn't be fair to a prospective employer what with not knowing when I'll be 100% again - though I'm SURE I will be - I'm beating this thing! Meanwhile, I've been looking for part time flexible hours but haven't found that yet, either.

So I could use some help. I've had a little help from family and friends, am getting about $425 in Social Security each month for my two boys (their father retired). But now my savings are gone and the credit card bills are piling up. I'm concerned I won't find work before my mortgage goes into default. I just got denied Social Security Disability (amazing, huh?).

If anyone could help with basic living expenses, even gift cards to help with basic household stuff like toilet paper, toothpaste, cat food :), shampoo, etc., it would be so appreciated. Of course, if I could get a mortgage payment ($604) or an electric bill ($220) taken care of that would give me another month's breathing room.

I am prepared to help oithers with any computer services they might need. I have all the MS Office software, can program and fix databases, write great resumes, can troubleshoot and advise on any computer problems, I can evaluate configurations if you need help deciding if a used computer is a good buy, can give basic written intructions on routine computer maintenance - basically I can do anything you need with a computer!
