Hello my name is Carmella Dunkin, I am a Christian and I love to sing Christian music, and work in the Theatre. I also design web sites and have a site where I talk about some of the things I love in life, God, my Family, Music, drama, arts and crafts, especially gourds and jewelry. You can visit my site HERE.  My husband and I are both disabled, and unable to work a substantial job outside the home. So we found something we could do in the home! We have built web sites that allow us to earn an income.  Links to all of our sites can be found on the left side of this page.

36 years old.  Widowed with two sons and a daughter.  I'm a hard worker, very caring, giving person.  No matter how tough I may have it, if I can do for someone else in need I will.

I enjoy the outdoors, Autumn is my favorite time of the year.  When I've got time, I love to take long walks.  That's when I let the tears out...thinking about the walks I took with my husband.  I don't like to cry in front of the kids.

I enjoy poetry, all types of books, (historical romance my favorite) I like to bake from scratch (plus it's cheaper)

If I was rich, I'd probably have tons of pets.  Cats, Dogs, Horses, etc...

I love all kinds of music ~ varies with my mood.  Barry Manilow to Kenny Rodgers, to Janis Joplin and Motley Crue.

I'm an old fashioned type of person.  I'd take an old farmhouse before I'd have something new built.  I like candles at Christmas ~ not bright flashly lights. Simplicity and tradition. Keep it real and keep it family.

Music scholarships for a Native American

I am planning on transferring to an expensive college in Nashville, TN for the furtherance of my Musical studies. The school is approximately 18,000 dollars per year without room and Board (Belmont university). I have 3 years left of my education so that puts me at around 54,000 Dollars in debt. Being 1/8th American Indian along with having an ever refining talent in musical performance and a current college GPA of 3.93 I know I have what it takes to continue and attain a Musical Undergraduate and Graduate degree at Belmont University. Thank you, Joel Taylor JTaylor5@Liberty.edu (303) 522-2118

Need Funding To Help Build My Life's Foundation

Being the first of four boys means sacrifice in my family. Years of giving up new school clothes and bikes so my brothers could have more, alongside watching my mother struggle for years has me tired of not having anything for myself. I do not wish to struggle like my mother.

Media Tech Institute will provide the skills in Audio Engineering and Studio Techniques, Audio Engineering for Film and Television Production, Producing and Songwriting, as well as Live Sound Reinforcement so that I may begin my life in a way that no one in my family has ever experienced.

I am a published poet.  I worked 21 years in a factory.  I enjoy doing crafts.  I like to dance but don't get a chance to dance much.  Can't do it like I used to because of my lung problems.  I like R&B music, hiphop, and rock music.  I have written some songs.  Years ago, I had one one played on 2 local radio stations.  I took business in college at Purdue N. Central and had a 3.1 average.  I have always wanted to travel to Europe.  I love reality shows!  Especially,"I love New York"!  I also like watching the discovery channel.  So that means I know how to get to civilization if I am stranded in Africa or on a valcano! LoL.  I also like to watch "Cold case files".  And I love life time.  I especially like to watch anything that is a true story.  Also love Steven King movies.  I loved to watch Lime.com until they took it off our cabel.

We need an Angel

*UPDATE*   OUR FAMILY IS FINALLY ON OUR WAY OUT OF THE WHOLE WE HAVE BEEN IN FOR SO VERY LONG. PLEASE CONTINUE TO BE IN PRAYER FOR US, THAT GOD WILL CONTINUE TO BLESS US AS HE HAS DONE THE LAST THREE MONTHS.

GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME!!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

our family is living on "A Wing and a Prayer" right now and our Prayer is that the items we list on our web sites and on Ebay will answer our Prayers. Our story is below...

We are Dan and Carmella Dunkin, we have 8 children (3 still at home) one of which is disabled, (Autism), and we are both partially disabled. We work many different venues to create an income to support our family, and have decided to try selling on Ebay once again and on our web sites to help make ends meet.

We sold antiques and collectibles on Ebay years ago until Dan injured his back and could no longer do all the driving to sales and auctions and the packing involved. We are now going to be selling items that we create ourselves. Gourd art, air brush art, Sterling Silver and 14K gold fill jewelry, awareness ribbons, sewn items, and anything else we think of to make.

Dan creates some really awesome Gourd Art and air brush paintings. You can look at his work here, http://www.thegourdreserve.com/galleries/sale/gourdart4sale.shtml. Dan also searches out quality computer equipment, monitors and TV’s and list those deals here, http://www.dailysalesonline.com. I design gold and silver jewelry, and awareness ribbons, and craft gourds, you can see some of my creations here, http://www.carmellamaeoriginals.thegourdreserve.com/.

Dan has been diagnosed with emphysema, osteoarthritist, and severe degenerative disk disease. I have been diagnosed with asthma, Osgood-Schlatter disease, and Chondromalacia in my knees. We also believe that I have fibromyalgia, but cannot afford the test and doctors to find out for sure. I have lived with severe pain throughout my body daily for the past 4 years, sometimes with the pain so bad it is crippling and I cannot function at all, other times I can just barely bear it. On top of that I have bi-polar disorder.  Our entire family is also recovering from a 5 year exposure to toxic mold which has amplified our health problems severely. You can read our mold story here, http://www.carmellasplace.thegourdreserve.com/mold.html  We are now living in a house with ventalation problems which the owner refuses to fix and we cannot run the air or the furnance without repairs to the system. Unfortunatly Indiana has no rules or laws about having any working air or heat in a rental, at least that is what our County building inspector and the health department is telling us. All these problems are costing us money we do not have and lots of heartache.

Dan tried to get disability through social security, but it seems their only concern was how much money they were going to have to pay out to our family because of how much money Dan had made all his life. Dan worked long hard houses doing back breaking warehouse work. He paid over a half a million dollars into the social security system over a 40 year period and when the time came that his back broke for good, the "security system" that he paid so much into not only denied him his benefits, they also changed his work history from a warehouse man to a plant manager and said he could do that work with no problem! I cannot believe that the social security system can do such things, but they sure did, and not only did they do it once, but his second denial was word for word the same as the first!!! We never have figured that one out.

With the problems we both have, living in the Midwest is NOT a good thing, so we are now working on raising money to buy an RV, (if someone wants to donate an RV we will not turn it down, but we would prefere to buy one hopefully on an owner financing type deal.), so we can travel the country and be able to live in cooler, (not freezing), dryer climates no matter what time of year it is. We cannot afford to have multiple houses in different states, but if we had an RV we could live in it and when it was time to head South, North, East, or West, we could just pull out of our RV spot in whatever camp ground we were in, and head for the next state we need to be in. It's been our dream for many years to travel the country in an RV full time, now it is a necessity that we do this, and the sooner the better, because the Midwest is killing Dan fast. Most nights he can just breath without too much trouble, other nights he scares me by telling me that it is so hard to breath that he don't think he will last through the night. I know he must be having a horrible time, as I know how hard it is on my asthma, which is nothing compared to emphysema. It's not so bad when everything is cool and dry, but when the humidity is up, like it usually is in the Midwest the air is a killer for those with emphysema and asthma.

With all that said, I just want to say, that we are not asking for a hand out, we are only asking for a little help and you can help us very easily just by shopping through one of our sites. Even if we do not have anything that we made that you would like to have, we still have a lot of affiliate sites you can shop with. Also if you do buy one of our creations, you can know that not only are you buying a hand crafted item made by a disabled American, you are helping that American to help themselves and their family, and for that we THANK YOU GREATLY!!! If you feel that all you can do is make a small donation to help us out, then we will not turn it down, but please see if there is something on one of our sites that you would like first.

Thank you and God Bless!

    Hi,

My name is Alexandra and I am in need of some help. I am a young professional musician, playing the cello and teaching children to make money. However, unfortunately my cello was stolen from my house in December, and as a result I have not been able to work. Not only am I totally broke (the bills never stop!) I am also heartbroken that I can't do what I love. I need to buy a new cello, but obviously I can't afford to.

Can anyone help??? Anything at all - advice, people I should contact or money.

Thank you so much!

Alexandra

Thank you so much for listing the code. Unfortunatly everyone is telling us that because the problem has to do with the fact that we cannot deal with all the dust because of our lungs, there is nothing we can do to make the owner fix the problem. Everyone is overlooking the fact that it is such a problem, that if we do not change the filter every two weeks, or just not run the central air or heat at all, the furnace is going to cook from all the crud being sucked into it. The building inspector and the health department inspector both say that there is no code for air quality in our county. They say the code only requires the equipment be there, but it don't even have to be hooked up! It all makes no scense at all to us, but what do you do when you are renting from a company that has every county official, attorney, and judge in the county on their side because they are best buds! I've come to the conclussion that Indiana is one of the most rotten states in the Union. Sorry anyone who loves Indiana, but you'd have to walk a mile in my shoes to really understand. We are going to look into an attorney in another county, if that is possible. Thanks again for posting the code, as well as the other links, I will be checking them out tomorrow. God Bless, Carmella

Hi everyone,

My name is Daniel, I am a local student in Orlando, Fl. I recently moved with a roommate closer to college. I work with a local company providing Tech support for MP3 players and memory cards. I also attend Valencia CC, mayoring in Digital Media Video Production.

I have been paying for college out of pocket since i don't qualify for any federal aid :-( and my parents really can't help me anymore. So, now I work everyday just to get by, while managing my bills on my own like any other adult and thats ok.

I founded Black Cherry Enterprise a digital media company striving to make local digital video projects for business and individual right here in central Fl. The company is still in it's infancy looking to grow to a nationwide business within 2- 4 years. Right now we have with 4 partners, a tresurer and me (CEO).

Right now, I have some credit card debts of around $7,000.00 and looking to pay them off with in two years. I would really like to get it down to less than $4,200.00 by the end of the year. Donations are always welcome. (PayPal)

As time pass by I reallize how furtunate I am to be here but sometimes the limit amount of cash flow limits my output like right now. It would be very helpful to get this debt taken care of before it becomes an even greater weight.

Thanks for visitng my page.

Sincerely,
Daniel M.

Im not even sure what this site is for other than just having people out there who know what im going through. I have spent the last few years wondering if im going to be able to hang on. Im an adult survivor of child abuse and sexual abuse. For most of my life I have been able to maintain, but recently I feel like im comming apart. Im sure most of it is related to the fact that my life latley is so out of control. The economy is so bad right now that the stress level's have reached an all time high. I know im not the only one out here suffering, I just feel like I am.  I was diagnosed with Post Tramatic Stress Syndrome, re-occuring depression, Severe Panic and Anxiety. So with all this going on the lack of money isn't helping. I know what I need to do, and I want to be able to do it, I just cant. And I know what your thinking not with that attitude, but I used to have a great attitude, I just lost it somewhere down the road. My husband is Disabled with a bad Back and Knee, It makes it hard because we are trying to maintain a house and raise 3 kids on his disability pay and it just doesnt work.. I've tried everything. I have tried to work and tried to go to school but I just cant finish anything. I start out great and then fizzle. It gets so bad I get so over whelmed I cant continue I start getting panic attacks and then im done. If anyone can offer suggestions Im open. Anything.

until then Im still hanging in there.

Goodness, this is so hard. This is such an awesome site, and so many great people helping each other on so many ways..I really have a long story and I truly am not trying to whine, really but oh my Lord times are tough. O.k. I'll just jump right into it so here goes...:)

Married to a U.S. Army Veteran for almost 15 years, (my junior high sweetheart)..Two bright, wonderful, sweet children directly from God. They are 14 and 11. My husband got out of the Army in '97 and went directly to work in the field he is still in today. In 2005 Katrina hit us, and right after that he was laid off from the company he had been with since he got out of the army. The company was forced to close due to too much loss as a result from dear Ms. Katrina. Luckily at the time we had a little savings, but that went so quickly. Family helped as much as they could and he finally was able to get on with a new company doing the same job in 2006, we doggy paddled trying to get out from under the mountain that formed amazingly fast and things were starting to look alot brighter for us by 2007. During this time we were living with his parents, and finally got back into a home of our own in March of '07. Things went smoothly for a little while until a new corporation took over the one he was working under...there were alot of adjustments to make and work slowed down to a snails pace. Our family motto is "Through God all things are possible" and "And this too shall pass". We believe these things like nothing else. In January of this year his company just pulled out without any warning, their home office is in another state and there is no phone number or address in which to find these people. There was no last paycheck, no severance package...no "sorry, tough luck"..nothing..It is amazing how cruel life works sometimes, but we keep fighting the good fight..but we are losing fast. The landlord served a 3 day eviction notice today, I had been able to scrape up the rent for February, but didn't pay until Feb. 28th. We are now late, late, late for March ($600.00)..and going into April :( Another (600.00)....Utilities (500.00)

Total:$1700.00 that hurts just to type that

Now for the second part of our story..On March 5th, my husband had been out job hunting and was on his way home..well about 6 miles from home he ran out of gas on the side of the road. This was at about 7 p.m. He walked part of the way and then a great samaritan stopped and picked him up and brought him home. We thought we would just hop into my car and go right back to pick up the truck..here we go...the battery in my car was dead..no battery charger and none of the neighbors was available to jump us off. So my husband..bless his heart..at 1 a.m. he took off on our son's bike with the gas can in a plastic shopping bag slung over the handle bars.. Rode the 6 miles back to where the truck was and no truck was there..he had left his hazard lights on...left his strobe lights on...put out safety cones ALL around the truck..it was gone! So he rode the bike all the way back home, it is roughly 2:30 a.m. by now. We call the Sherriff's Department "Yessir we had it towed due to the fact that it was obstructing traffic"...just great...all of his tools, equipment..his entire livelyhood is on that truck.......so we call towing company...($120.00 towing fee + $25/day storage). "Can we at least get his work equipment off the truck, so that he may work to pay to get the truck out of storage"???????? "No ma'am, not until you pay all the fees".......By the time we got any amount of money the fees has accumulated so much that we cannot even touch what they want now, which is over $600.00..they are selling his truck April 25th...I guess right along with everything he needs to work.......My grandmother always said "when it rains it pours" I never knew quite what she meant until now. So we keep chugging along, just trying to make lemonade out of all these lemons, but I am so tired. We are both looking for work continuously. The bright side of all this, my babies are still smiling and holding their heads up...God is awesome! I am hoping that someone...somewhere may be able to help us, while we are trying to help ourselves..I have always believed in "doing my good deed for the day", because it always comes back around... be it in a special prayer from someone..a chuckle...a hug..a hand up??? Please if anyone can find it in their hearts to help, I will find any possible way to "pay it forward".

God Bless
