I'm looking for some grant money to help me pay my bills.  I'm getting so overwelled that i'm ready to have a nervous breack down.  I have two small children and I wanted to go back to school but if i don't get something worked out and very soon then i don't know what is going to happen to me or my children.  i need major help.  I want to make a better life for both me and my children.  I need to pay off a few thousand in bills so that I can go back to school and make something of my self.  Please if anyone can help me.

Hello everyone, please do not flag this. I have cancer and cannot work, my husband is a local truck driver who works hard but is having to switch companies due to his present company is losing contracts. We are trying this as a last effort. We have applied for help with several agencies and have been denied due to income. I have applied for disability several timnes and was denied and presently have a lawyer working on this. We really need help with our mortgage. We have been paying as we should. We did get behind and they mortgage company said they would work with us, well they have decided that they want it now. They tried to refinance the loan but due to hospital bills and when we were behind they will not. They have given us till February 15 to come up with $7000, that includes late fees and interest charges. We are doing without some things to try and save this, my son is working and trying to help. We are begging for anyone to help with any of it. Please we are good Christian people and do not want to lose our home we have struggled to keep.

I am a single dad raising my 14 year old daughter.  I am working only part-time because the company I worked for for the last 10 years downsized and left me unemployed.  In addition, I am a full-time student majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology and Web Development.  I am asking if someone could help me with my school funds so I can continue my education and raise my child in a good school.

Hi! I am a single Mom to 2 boys.

I was laid off 3 months ago, after 9 years with the same company. I've had a difficult time finding employment that fits in with the need for caring for my kids, but I am still looking. If I can't find anything that makes it possible to be with my sons at nights or at least one weekend day, I will have to bite the bullet and take almost anything.

I am doing rather well on keeping everything paid up, but.....

We got hit with those dreaded unexpected bills last month. I used 2 months car payments for fixing the house AC unit. But now it looks like I will lose the car. I have spoken with the finance company and because I re-financed the loan they state they are not in any position to help. Also, if I don't lose the car I'm looking at repairs on it-Master brake cylinder, front brakes and repairs to fix the power steering leak (About $1000. according to the car dealership repair shop.)

Does anyone know where I could possibly get help?

         Hey everyone, well so far I have recieved some help with great resources, links to some foundations that help people pay for some past due medical bills, and also was directed to a great networking/support resource for cystic fibrosis.

         I just wanted to encourage you to keep trying. Whatever it is that you are going through, nothing has gone unseen by the Lord, and He will always make a way for you, even if it seems there is no way.

        God bless you and I just wanted to encourage you not to give up. This world is full of caring and generous people. Money helps fix many situations I know (we need it too) but just remember that this world is temporary, and so is the situation you are in...even if it feels like it's been going on for years, and you haven't had a brake. Just keep praying and know that He is hearing your prayers. His timing it perfect, He is not slow or uncaring...and everything good in your life, truely that is good in your life, it is from the Lord. Don't forget that.

Hi, I am not proud of myself for asking for monetary assistance but I feel this is the last resort. This is a sincere plee for help from the public to donate whatever they can to my cause. My husband doesn't even know that I am doing this and would be very hurt if he knew.

My Story: We are a family of four (2 small boys; 1 year and 4 years) plus our 2 Boxer girls. We had been living in Chicago since 2004 when my husband was introduced to an opportunity to buy his own retail business in Orlando. He immediately tried to get a bank loan for the business but was declined because neither one of us was working at the time and had too much personal dept. So we both decided that he should take out Credit Card advances under both of our names to make his Dream Happen. He dropped everything including his family and at the time his son of 1 month with my blessing to go and pursue it. I stayed back to work and take care of the 2 boys and to sell the home 2005. In the meantime, the whole year of 2005 incurring more debt because I was the only one that was bringing in money for the family and eventually had to take on a 2nd and  a 3rd job just to make ends meet. My husband came home at least once a month to visit. During the whole year of 2005 there was no buyer for the home which was the most discouraging. After trying to sell for almost a year we finally decided in November to rent the home out and rent a home in Orlando.

We moved to Orlando in November 2006 to resume our life as a family again. I am still working 3 jobs and still the sole provider for the family because my husband has been negative every month for the business. Life has been a struggle for the past 2+years with the worries of not being able make the bills every month, and discussing if we can afford to take our children to see the doctors when they are sick because we don't have health insurance.

I am a mother who has recently become disabled. I am attempting to get help through Social Security, but this can take up to 30 months. I have had 14 surgeries in the past. I am on 7 different medications daily and it takes all the money I can get to purchase it.

My daughter has ADHD, acid reflux, and suffers from depression. She is on 3 medications  and luckily she qualifies for help on her medicines since she is a child.

My ex-husband is over $45,000.00 in arrears on child support. They say he is on the "locate" list. This means that they cannot find him by putting his name in a computer. He is now listed on Georgia's Most Wanted Child Support Evaders list. I put up a link to that page as he is listed now. If you see him, turn him in. He has warrants issued for his arrest in Stephens County, Georgia.

We don't have ANY money for Christmas this year, and all the charities around my area only want to help people who have children under the age of 12. My name is Geri and I live in New Jersey with my son who is 6 1/2. I am diabetic and have been diagnosed with severe gum disease to the point where what little teeth I have left are started to rot as well. I need to have my teeth pulled (all of them) and have dentures or permanents made so I can eat, smile and live again. I do work full time but the income I make barely supports myself and my son in our everday normal expenses.Plus my diabetes supplies eat most of it as well as my son's daycare. People stare at me when I first meet them due to the poorness of my teeth. I dont go anywhere anymore, dont take my son to outings or the park because I'm so embarrassed. I need $2,500 to get my dental work done and I have been denied any type of dental credit.     Hey how are you doing?  Unfortunatly I could be better. I need to have surgery on my arms becase I got into a motorcycle accident and burned my forarms on the exahust pipes and need to have a skin graft done on them. It is keeping me from go back to college for computers because I have to constantly look for money to live. It is very hard to ask for help because I am so used to being able to take care of my children and myself alone.  Unfortunately, over the past couple of months my father has grown ill with cancer.  I have 3 children, 2 boys and a girl.  We are trying to make it but it is very hard for us.  I had to take off work to get my father back and forth to his radiation and chemo treatments which he receives his chemo only weekly but his radiation is daily.  Over the weekend my truck broke down and now it is parked in our driveway.  I have to have rent paid by Tuesday and now I have a broken down truck.  I just need some help to get back on my feet before I sink completely.  I have all the documentation to prove I'm legit in everything I am saying. Please, if you have any ideas for help I would appreciate it.  I live in Indiana.  If only your prayers then that would be great.

 Ok, a little about myself. I'm 39 and up intil July of last year I worked delivering newspapers by night and working at a church during the day. I've been on many mission trips down to South America, Columbia being my favorite. All that changed on July 5th 2005 when I  was rearended by a semi-truck, they had to extract me from the caravan I was in by the jaws of life, I'll tell you not being able to move or not knowing if you will ever walk again and waiting for the fire Department to get there was the longest half hour of my life. The only thing that got me thru was my faith, and the thoughts of the the people that mean the most to me. When I got to the hospital I found out I got  3 broken ribs, 4 ruptured disk in the low back, 1 ruptured disk in the neck, 2 slipped disk in the neck, brusied lungs, messed up knee, and copral nearve tunnel in the right hand, and the worst pain I've ever been in my life. Right now I've had low back surgery for the 4 disk in my low back which has reduced alot of the pain. I'm waiting on surgery on the knee and right hand that should happen within the next month. I'm not sure if and when I'll have the surgery for the ones in the neck because they are the ones with the most problems. Right now I have not been able to work because of all this, I wish I could because I do miss all of what I did before. I do have a lawsuit pending against the truck driver but settlement is sometime off. I've over the past 14 months have sold just about everything I have to be able to pay my bills and pay for medications. And my PIP was gone within the first few hours in the hospitial. The only good news is most of my doctor bills are under a letter of protection pending outcome of lawsuit. I  am now broke with nothing left to sale and I'm in need of help. I can no longer manage and I don't even have a dependable car to drive. I live in a city with no public transportation and curently rely on people to take me shopping for food and to the doctors. Like I said I'm in major need of help here. I can provide verifacation of all this if needed. If anyone has any suggestions, Please contact me!

I worked as a corrections officer for almost 13 years before my oldest daughters boyfriend started making trouble for me. When my grandson was born in July of 2004, my daughter wanted me to take him. I did. In June of 2005, I started back to work part-time as a caregiver working in the homes of the elderly. I haven't been able to work for over a month because my last client was put in a home. My husband just lost his job 3 weeks ago. We are so behind on all our bills and am getting ready to lose the house because we can't pay the mortgage. I am also taking online college courses but don't know if I can continue becasue I can't even afford the internet service.

I am almost at the end of my rope as Christmas approaches this year.  I have no place to turn.  After a lot of prayer I turned to searching the internet for financial help and found this site where I am allowed to post my wish.

I'll try to make this as short and to the point as possible. . . . . in fact I updated this on 12-19 because the first draft was way too long. . . . . . . My problem started in late July of this year, (2006) although I didn't find out about it until almost the end of August. Through no fault of my own, my bank account (both savings and checking) were compromised and completely cleaned out!  Leaving me with ZERO, when there had been over $25,000.00 the week of July 1st!!!!!  My bank's Fraud Division is still investigating and will only tell me that the entire amount is rarely recovered! 

I am left with the task of trying to cover all the NSF checks that were returned for all my bills written in August - over $2800 worth of checks and extra charges! I have been unable to work since 2003, therefore it has been quite impossible to do this on only my spouse's income.  Each month new bills arrive placing the current amounts farther behind!

I am searching for any job I can do, but without success thus far. The water was turned off for 2 weeks while I ravaged through belongings to sell to cover the past due amount PLUS a $75 deposit they wanted.  Showering and filling jugs of water at my daughter's house to manage.  Same thing happened with the power, including their requiring an extra $100 as a deposit to turn it back on.  But, it was only off for 24 hours before I found something to sell.  I could NOT risk losing everything in the freezer. 

I've kept my car payment almost current, making a payment just prior to the 30-day mark.  But, that caused me to get behind on the HOUSE payment! As of December 1st, three payments are now due ($2800+) and I have no resources to which to turn.  I cannot lose this house!  We put a substantial down payment on it, and already sunk more into it with some remodeling, before this problem hit.  I'm much too old to lose it and not physically able to move belongings!  Besides, I could never come up with deposits that would be needed to move elsewhere, nor be able to rent moving help.

I tried applying for food stamps and assistance, but was told that my spouse "makes too much" to qualify.   Exactly $2 too much!!!! And no one will help us on the utility bills because he works! I suppose if we were both just lying around watching TV they would help?  Makes me rethink where my donations money will go in the future!

I cannot borrow anything from the bank, because our good credit is now ruined from getting behind.  Everyone wasted no time in reporting the 30-60 days past due items!  I also recently discovered that of the handful of job interviews I've had so far, most likely all disregarded my experience after running a credit check.  I had no idea possible employers can run a credit check until I read it in an article in the classified section of our newspaper!  That seems quite unfair!  My credit situation of present has nothing to do with my ability to do a good job for someone! And, of course, it will take a couple of years to repair it.  Sheesh!  As I stated in the beginning,  I am at the end of my rope.  I do not know where else to turn.  But, I will continue my job search.

I have even tried to think of a way to do a fund-raiser where many people might care to donate $10-$100 each to help total up the amount I need to keep my house. But, I'm embarrassed to spearhead this myself and not quite sure of the legalities of such a thing. How would I word something like this for a newspaper ad? And be able to keep my identity quiet? Without it appearing to be a scam?

PLEASE!  I don't where else to turn.  Any kind donation would be greatly appreciated  as I continue to pray for a more permanent solution.

 My story is probably a bore to most of you.  I married at 14 years old, had two children and have been married for 44 years to the same man.  He is a good man that has been good to me and the children.  My children married and have children so I am a grandmother and now a great-great grandmother.  I am so proud of my family.  My husband and I had 50.00 when we got married and we went to K-mart and bought two towels, two washcloths and toothpaste.  We lived on crackers and peanut butter for two weeks until payday!  We both came from large families who worked hard and paid our bills.  We didn’t have much but we were happy.  We both worked two jobs and went to school at night to get an education.

 Over the years many things have happened in my life. I had to leave my job because of illness, Lupus, many things started happening to me health wise.  Lupus affects everything.  I now have so many different illness and medicines to take it is depressing. I think losing my hair on top of it all is the worst because being a woman everyone stares.  It will not grow back.  It isn’t because of the chemo but because of the Lupus. But I have kept on.  Maybe one day I will get some help with that too.

We have never been rich or really even well off  but we were comfortable. Then my daughter went through a terrible divorce. He didn’t care if the kids had food or anything. We tried to help our daughter keep her house and keep the kids in clothes and etc.  This put a strain on us, but that is how we were raised to help each other.

 When my husband retired after 40 years on the job he didn’t have a 401k or anything like that but we thought we could make it.  He started working part time as soon as he retired because they would not insure me anymore. (This we didn’t know) I felt bad about that but we did what we had to.

 After going through so much financially a “friend” told us he could double or even triple what savings we had.  I was so excited and I trusted him.  Well the “friend” is gone and so is the money.  Like it never existed.  We finally found her but the money was gone. My illness has also drained us, but this was devastating.  I trusted this person and now we are so in debt we could lose our home.  I am responsible for this because I did it.  I can’t look my husband in the eye anymore.  I can’t pay my bills now and will lose my home if something doesn’t happen soon.  I kept praying something would come up and a heavenly angel would help us.  Didn’t happen.  But I still believe in Angels.  Maybe they are internet Angels!!!!

 I have been so depressed I get closer and closer to just ending it all. I have given myself so much time to either get some help or do what I have to do.  I want to live a long life with my family but I am so ashamed of what I have done. My husband doesn’t deserve this nor my family.  Then….. I accidently came across this site.  Could???  Would??? Someone help me???  Please………… if you could send something, anything I would appreciate it.  If I come out of this I will do whatever it takes to always help someone else in this situation.  I have always helped anyone never dreaming someone could be this desperate.  Life is not worth living right now.
