Hi:

I have a special needs son who is attending a school for severe learning disabled children.  My son is profoundly dyslexic, verbally dyspraxic,  OCD,  Asperger's Syndrome and profoundly gifted.   The school he attends is paid for by the school district through the Individuals with Disablities Educational Act.  I have been advocating for my son for 12  years.  I have fought for services,  including speech and occupational therapy, reading help, extended school year services and you name it.  Finally 2 yearw he was accepted into a school for kids with profound dyslexia and other disablities.   I grabbed the golden ring for my son!   If i leave this school district i risk loosing the education that my son needs.  This would be absolutely devasting to him and to me.  Here is the link for my son's school:   www.rsec.org

This past spring we went thru a horrible and financially devasting divorce.   My ex -husband is loosing his job and i will loose some or most of my child support.  I am also self employed, and working a second job.

My problem is, is that can not afford the property taxes  and the heating bills on this house.

There is now a lein on my house for $15000 in taxes-that is a year and a half beleive it or not!  I may have to sell and loose his education and my self-employment.  It kills me to know that my son is at risk to loose  the long awaited education he so sorely needs  over property taxes.   There is no guarantee that  if  forced to move he will be able to receive this education or that i would live close enough to this  school for the profoundly learning disabled.   I can't refinance this house due to my credit scores due to the divorce and how the first mortgage is written.

I have had many  expensive repairs on this house the past  2 years, my 7 yr old  ford explorer died,  i had to use the $6000 in my retirement account to buy a new car, a 95 tahoe.. a real gas guzzler but all i could afford. I get no fuel  assistance, have no health insurance,  and do not qualify for food stamps.   I have no money to get my high blood pressure meds and meds for anxiety and depression.  I have taken on a roommate but which helps but I filed   bankruptcy because i don't know where else to turn.  It kills me to do it because i want to be responsible for my debts, but there is nothing left at the end of the month to cover it.   During the course of my  25 year marriage I was fortunate to be the giver of such gifts.... at the holidays to needy organizations , to animal shelters,  the salvation army, i took in exchange students to teach them about our country, voluneteered at my son's school and more.  Now, i need to be at the receiving end of such generosity.  Please help us.

Please open your heart and your financial abilities to ensure that my son gets to fulfill profound gifted abilities by learning to read.  I am scared and very frightened that my son, my gift from God, will loose his one big chance to become literate.  He is in 7th grade, 12 yrs old,   has an IQ of 140+ and reads at a first grade level.

What ever you could donate is deeply and  gratefully appreciated.   I won't even ask you to provide he money directly to me.  If you are able and willing to help us, make a check out to our town .  You will be blessed for your kindness.  My son will be blessed by you.

I live in Brookline NH and a donation or payment in my name can be made to the Town of Brookline,  Brookline, NH   03033

Sincerely and Gratefully,

Mary Harding-Smith

The Person:
I'm not really sure what to put here. I guess, well, I should start by saying I'm a young 22 year old. I grew up with next to nothing, but I had a wonderful mother who loved her children enough to raise them right. I'm thankful for all of the things God has given me in life and I always hope for the best in situations. I'm loyal, caring, and honest. I'm not really a typical 22 year old. Most of my life is spent working, trying to pay the bills, and worrying about my hubby who is in the army. If I ever get any free time, I like to spend it reading a book or playing a video game. I also enjoy anime and roleplaying games. My second job is working for the local video game store. It would be my dream job, if only it paid more than minimum wage! I  guess you could say I was pretty nerdy! But I'm proud of who I am. A lot of people tell me I don't look like the type that would be into all of those things, but I assure you, I'm a legitimate dork.
I look forward to meeting others who have similar interest. I do not judge, as I do not like to be judged. I accept everyone. I hope others will accept me.

The Problem:
As far as my situation, as I've stated before I've been having a rough time keeping up with the bills due to my man being gone. I've got a 14,000 dollar loan which needs to be paid back and money has just been really tight since he left. I'm not asking for someone to pay the loan for me, but I am asking for a little help....Donations in any amount. I realize that's a lot to ask since it isn't easy to trust people, especially people online, these days. I figured I would try anyway and hope that there are people out there generous and caring enough to help, as I would do for someone in need. If you can help me, feel free to message me (or even if you would just like to talk and be friends!).

I've got a donation bin set up on paypal at the moment, and my email address is a confirmed one for anyone thinking I'm trying to scam someone out of money. I'm not. If you'd like to make a donation, my e-mail on paypal is ami_nugent@yahoo.com. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help or with advice!

For Others:
For those seeking money themselves. I haven't had much luck with this, but there is a website that will pay you .02 to just read advertisements online. This can be a lengthy and tedious project (one I don't particularly have time for, since I work), but it may help someone who's looking to make a little extra pocket change or something. Like I said, I haven't had luck... but for anyone who is maybe paralyzed or has the free time, it could help slightly.

For those who need help with prescriptions. There is a wonderful site that offers 3-month supplies of (mostly generic) common presciptions for costs as low as 20 dollars, up to $40. It does ask that you meet the criteria for the program (information about that is on the website). This has been great for my "controlled substance" medications in the past. No tax forms are required and the application is very simple and straight-forward.

Looking for free stuff?? Try craigslist in your state. You can find lots of helpful stuff here. From free items, to trade/barter, and employment. It's a very useful tool.

Though I am unable to give out money currently, I would love to help others in any way I can. If you need someone to talk to, advice, a friend. I'd love to donate clothing and other items to families in need. I've done the "Goodwill" thing before, but I always had an issue with donating my stuff to a company which profits from it! I would rather know that my items are going to someone who truly needs it, who doesn't have to pay. Not that Goodwill is a bad thing, I would just rather help an individual rather than a corperation.

Hi Im a single mom of 4 and am now raising a grandson.  I'm a nurse by trade, however, I am out of work due to a death in the family.  I am also on my 4th year of sobriety and am working to get back to work. Over the last couple of years of taking care of 9 family members and with only one income I could no longer handle the stress and made poor choices as to how to take care of everything. Seems like I was always robbing peter to pay paul and well that just catch's up with you.  I am swamped with bills and am looking at heading to a shelter with my children if things cannot turn around.  Im not looking for someone to take care  of me  but sometimes the hardest thing one has to do in life is ask for HELP.  I have always been there for everyone else but in turn those are not the ones who can help me.  If anyone can help you dont know how much and how grateful I would be for the assist.  In keeping it in one day at  a time Im just looking to get through today. Bless those who can and cannot.
Thankyou for your time Kathy

I found this site while trying to find some form of assistance for my situation. I am a 48 year old married woman. I was in the work force for many years. A time came to be that I had a work injury that damaged my ulnar nerve this was the trigger for me to get a disease called RSD or CRPS (Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome) as they are trying to change the name to. Our world has totally changed from what we once knew it to be. I am unable to work, some days are better than others I'm always doing better than Dr.'s thought I would never as well as I would like. Due to the long term drug therapy I have lost all my teeth. I am grief struck and stunned at how this has effected me. Due to many other health issues I have not even listed here the insurance premium for me alone is $1700.00 a month. My husband was $870.00. He just told me last weekend that he let his policy go 2 months ago. Simply could not pay it. The cost for me to repair my mouth is $12,000.00. Yes you read that correctly. That simply isn't going to happen. Some days I feel as though my husband would be better off without me. He would certainly have more cash. My Mom passed last year when and if her property ever sells I might get enough to fix my teeth but there are 8 of us to split proceeds so who knows in addition the market being what it is. I'm stunned how much this has changed me. I won't go places if I can possibly avoid it this includes family gatherings even! My husband is a known in the area top shelf wood worker. Custom kitchens, moldings furniture and the like and would be willing to barter. I know that if I ever do get help and my mouth fixed I will make it my business to do some volunteer work talking to and trying to help others in the situation I find myself to be in right now resolve theirs. When I am able to figure out how to do I will put up a picture of what I looked like 1 1/2 years ago compared to right now. I feel so hopeless someday. So hopeless. Glad to have found this site and am impressed and especially with the praying with and for one another. Thank you for having me. In His name I pray you and yours to be well. bryanne
Comment: My mom got diagnosed with...

Note: This aid page was started as a comment on "free money to help pay bills"

My mom got diagnosed with ovarian cancer two days before Christmas I need money to pay bills. I have all but stopped work to take care of her. At sixty eight years of age, my mom having survived polio at fifteen and told that she wouldn't live or walk she beat the odds. Than she met my bastard abusive farther and still managed to put her self through college to become a clinical psychologist for the next forty years and then it all stopped abruptly 2006. I do realize that she is a tough lady but corporate companies just don't care. So if any one has suggestions how to get funding to pay bills, it would be greatly appreciated.

Help me pay off my loans while husband is deployed

Basically, I'm very much in debt. I work two jobs right now while my husband is deployed and have a $14,000 dollar loan that I'm struggling to pay off. If anyone can help, even just the tinest bit, I would be so grateful. I've set up a donation bin on paypal (my email is ami_nugent@yahoo.com), also... Please help if you can.
