DEAR SIRS,

                    I AM IN DESPERATE NEED OF ASSISTANCE TO GET MY MORTGAGE PAYMENTS CAUGHT UP.THEY HAVE ALREADY SET A DATE FOR FORECLOSURE AND I AM SO WORRIED I AM GOING TO LOSE THE PLACE THAT I'VE CALLED HOME FOR 11 YEARS. I WAS IN A CHAPTER 13 , I MADE  PAYMENTS OF APPROXIMATLEY $248 A WEEK FAITHFULLY , AND HAD ABOUT 4  MONTHS LEFT TO COMPLETE MY CHP.13 WHEN MY FAMILY AND I SUFFERED A TRAGIC LOSS. MY YOUNGER BROTHER TO WHOM I WAS VERY CLOSE TO COMMITED SUICIDE ON 9-1-04. THE TURN OF EVENTS THREW ME INTO A SEVERE STATE OF DEPRESSION AND I BASICALLY GAVE UP. I QUIT MY JOB DUE TO THE EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL STATE I WAS IN, AND DIDN'T WORK FOR ALMOST A MONTH AFTERWARD. BY THE TIME I FINALLY GOT A JOB AND WENT BACK TO WORK, MY CHP 13 HAD BEEN DISMISSED BY THE COURT DUE TO NON-PAYMENT. I AM WORKING NOW AS A SALESPERSON, BUT I REALLY NEED ASSISTANCE TO BRING MY NOTE TO DATE. I AM A SINGLE PARENT OF A 12 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER, AND I HAVE NEVER ASKED FOR ASSISTANCE UNTIL NOW! PLEASE HELP ME, MY TIME IS VERY SHORT.

Recently gone through bankruptcy and had to give up my dependable car. Now I have borrowed nearly $5,000 from friends and family to put an engine in my old car. More repairs were needed and now I'm needing $5,000 to pay back friends and family. I've tried getting loans, but since my bankruptcy is still fairly recent I can't borrow any money. I work full time and am actively seeking a 2nd job. I would really like to go ahead and pay back my fiends and family since I know they need it back soon. I am just looking to get a loan or grant to catch up on my bills.  I am unemployed at this time.  My family and I are about to lose our apartment.  I have already lost my vehicle because I could not make the payments.  I just want enough so I can start getting back on my feet again.

My family of four is in need of financial help. Looking to borrow money and pay back on long term basis. We really do not require all that much, looking for hopefully close to $1000. Our electric is way past due totalling over $600, we are at risk of losing our family van. We can just barely try to scrounge up the $5 a week to keep our pre-schooler in preschool that she loves so much. I don't know if anyone is out there that is willing to try to work out a personal loan on a personal basis. If you are out there, your help would be very much appreciated and we would be willing to set up a contract to pay back within certain time frames. We have not so good credit and can't bear to see our house we own go out of our hands and our vehicle gone and lights out....really need help. I am sick of crying everynight. Anyone...please help!?

I rescue animals and volunteer with the Junior Humane Society of Pensacola,FL. I am on a low fixed income, have been raising 2 children on my own who are turning out to be my pride and joy!! I currently am unemployed due to health reasons and my old truck finally kicked the bucket with 362,000 miles!

I am behind on my mortgage $ 4,200.00(need that amount by March 23rd/08 to avoid foreclosrure procedings), utilities $ 345.00 and no transportation!!! I live out in the country so there is no public transportion. I have to ask my neighbors for rides for Dr. visits, etc. Are there any "ANGELS" out there that can help me? I tried Prosper but they said my credit score was too low! Banks won't help either!! Family is on fixed income too!! I am asking $ 8000.00 to help me get back on my feet!!

I have posted here before trying to find a personal loan to help pay off some medical bills, no luck yet.  But, I really can't wait much longer on this request.  I am a single parent with a teenage daughter.  My "X" had been helping some with child support when he felt like it, but he has lost his job and that is one of the reasons we are now in this predicament.  I got behind on my daughters braces and now that one of the wires is cutting the inside of her mouth, the facility will not see her until I either pay off the balance or get caught up on the past due.  The balance is $1,300 and the past due is $600.  Any little bit would help, please.  Thank you and God bless.

The short version is:  I am seeking a short-term (6 months or less) loan of $10,000 for urgent repairs on our house that we are selling.  I am willing to pay interest, of course, but have been turned down by conventional lenders.  Our house is in a desirable area where houses are still selling well, but because it is already maxed-out with loans, we cannot sell for enough unless we do the urgent repairs needed first.  

The longer version is:  The reason the house is maxed-out with loans, and the reason we are selling and relocating to a less expensive area, is because we have gone through many years of major hardships.  I was in a bad car accident, then while I was recovering my daughter was paralyzed by a immune system disorder, then while she was recovering I was diagnosed with an unusual case of cancer and was told I had three weeks to live.  As crazy as that all was, my daughter and I both recovered, for the most part, with some lingering health issues remaining, but we are both alive and doing well now.  I also have a son with special needs as well; born with a genetic disorder. 

My point is...I can relate to the desperate health situations on this site, and the extreme financial trauma they cause.  During our crises, we maxed-out credit cards and borrowed from family, friends, and employers. My significant other worked two or three jobs at a time to keep a roof over our heads while I was on disability and going through the cancer treatments.  We have done whatever we could, but are exhausted by all we went through and living in a very high-cost area.  So, we are now moving out of state, have jobs and house lined up there, but need a little more help to get through this last hurdle of repairing and selling our current house. 

Our credit scores are low because of high debt and past late payments on bills (but not the mortgage).  Also, I just left my job because my daughter's health issues began flaring up again and my work schedule kept me from being able to take her to all her appointments (my upcoming new job has more flexible hours).  With the low scores, high debt, and my in-between-job situation, we simply don't qualify for conventional loans.  We have applied and applied and applied, and at this point we are simply out of time.  We will loose more money the longer we have to pay the high mortgage on this house, so I decided to look somewhere else. 

Reading the other stories, I have to say I feel embarassed asking for help here, because there are so many people in desperate need, and I realize we are fortunate in many ways.  I look forward to eventually being in a position to help others this way, myself. 

I am willing to answer any questions and provide more information.  If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.  Thanks so much for your time.

   I am mom to two wonderful children.  I have a full-time job, and have also worked several night jobs just to make ends meet.  I know that I'm not the only person in the world with financial problems, but if you could just find it in your heart to even help a little bit, I would be forever greatful.  I am behind on my rent, and dread answering my phone in case it's another bill collector.  My financial need to get everything caught back up and be on an even playing field is $5,000 ... but every dollar would help.  Please, I don't know what else to do, I can't work any more hours in the day at this point.  I am so tired of juggling whether to pay the gas bill this month or the electric ... buy groceries or not!  Will you send a dollar or two -- if 300 people did that, I could eliminate at least one medical bill.  Or, if someone could loan me $5,000 and allow me to pay it back in small monthly payments, that would even be very helpful. Thank you and God bless.

I am a divorced father of two children who's wife became very ill right after divorce.  The court has saddled me with a tremendous amount of debt and financial commitment and I am drowning - barely able to meet daily living expenses like gas to go to work.  I am looking to see if there is anyone who is willing to lend money privately so I can consolidate this debt, pay higher principle and solve this issue in my life.  I do not want to file bankruptcy and want to be able to pay back this debt - it is very important to my integrity and values that I make good - but the interest and process is not allowing me to make any headway.
