I am trying to find out how to get a grant to assist me in paying off my debts and also to get me into a house.I do not want to make this a long story so to the point "I NEED MONEY"  or I am going to wind up losing my children.PLEASE help me find a grant or two. thank you

        I lost my wife on Saturday, December 30, 2006.  She was to be released from a local care facility here in Phoenix, Arizona, and I was very much looking forward to our reunion.  It was to have been a special homecoming, but she suddenly and unbeknownst to all, she passed away.  I am just beside myself.  In my heart and soul, I truly believe that she deserves a proper and respectful funeral.

       We made plans to get a small place and to continue our lives before our unfortunate mishap. A short time ago, we were residing in a comfortable apartment.  Our happiness changed in many ways.  First, our apartment caught fire and we lost quite a bit of our possessions.  Debe, my wife, had a major stroke and was confined to a wheelchair.  On numerous occasions, she would attempt to be self-sufficient and strive to walk without using her chair.  On one early morning, I returned from work and found Debe lying on the living room floor.  She had fallen and had no one to assist her.  I stabilitzed her and all was well.  I went back to work.  When I returned, she had fallen again, both falls occurring within a 12 hour period.  She informed me that the apartment's maintenance man heard her cries and gave her assistance.  He carried her from the floor to her bed.  I noticed a terrible bruise over one of her eyes.  The bruising did not heal as it should have and she refused to go to the hospital for treatment.  She recovered from this injury, but the unsightly bruising was slow to heal. 

        We had a friend of Debe's stay with us while I was at work.  To my ire, the friend's boyfriend took advantage of us by robbing us of the few possessions we had.  Some of these items were a cell phone, work tools, transportation, and more, not to mention our dignity. 

         I contacted the local police authorities and filed a police report.  Because of this loss, I was no longer able to provide for her care as she needed.  I had no other choice except to place her in a local care facility.  Both of us understood that this was necessary.  Neither of  us wanted this to occur, but we had no other options.  We agreed that this stay would only be temporary, just a couple of weeks.

         Debe was doing well in the facility.  She was recovering quickly, as she was gaining weight, going to physical therapy, and attending medical appointments with various medical doctors.  Her general practictioner beleived that she was doing well and suggested that her next appointment be set for the following two months, instead of the upcoming month.

         Debe resided at the care facility for one month.  She had a health care plan that covered the facilities costs and fees.      

(I will continue with my situation on 1/6/2007.) Debe called me at 11:30a.m.Saturday Dec. 30th She told me she had fallen twice that morn........We were moving within the hour I had a place for us already I was to be there by 12 noon.But within 15 minutes I got a call .....saying...............she had quit breathing........and it did not look good .They were never able to resesitate debe.After they told me,I cried so hard with such anguish that every muscle in my face was frozen stiff in a downward frown.I thought I should have been admitted...I talked with the county medical examiner Senior Investegator and one of the things He told me was 'People tend to fall down when they are dying'. So why did'nt them qualified professionals take her to the hospital???         I'll write more on this later  TODAY IS  4-3-07

My husband and I met at work in 1996 and were married in March 2000. We knew that we both wanted children but not right away, we said we would wait for close to five years.  My sister-in-law got pregnant and had her first daughter in June 2000, holding her in my arms and helping to take care of her made me decide I wanted a child much sooner than five years, however convincing my husband was a much harder task.

 We still had not decided to start trying when I missed my period. I took several pregnancy test's but they all came back negative. The Doctor sent me for a blood test and it came back negative after three days. In the time we waited for the test results we got comfortable with the idea that we could be pregnant and we were both disappointed when we were not. My husband finally decided it would be okay with him if we started really trying. I went to the my ob/gyn who did her own blood test for pregnancy as well as hormones and other tests these all came back normal with no pregnancy and I was sent to have an Ultrasound done which showed a cyst on my left ovary.  From that point on my cycle has never been the same.  My doctor, ran her own tests and they all pointed to lack of ovulation. The next step was to start Clomid, The doctors will only go to 200mg before they require you to see a specialist; we were at 200mg and decided to see the specialist when we discovered that I was pg with my son.  We were ecstatic but also very nervous, since just a while previously my sister in law lost her second child just a few days before she was to give birth and we had no idea why this happened.

When my son was 1 1/2 we found out that I had spontaneously gotten pg a second time only for it to end in a miscarriage at 10 weeks.  Once my body had recovered we started trying again, we started with Clomid again but my GYN could only start at the beginning even though the low doses did not work last time, after a few months of this I decided to go back to the RE we had started to see when I found out I was pg with my DS.  We did several tests and found that my right tube is closed as well as the fact that I do no ovulate on my own, she says that reproductively I am a mess and is amazed at the fact that I got pg without major help.  She suggests going directly to IVF, but we don't have $15,000-$30,000 to just toss around.  There is only a 50/50 chance with IVF, but the other methods are getting expensive too.  We have also thought of adoption which is expensive as well as not our own child, we decided that adoption would be our last choice.  We have also looked in to Surrogacy which is even moree expensive and hard to hold up in court where we live.  I have been doing some combo of oral meds and injectable meds for three years now and I am just getting so tired of all of it, the emotional stress of the process and every lost cycle is getting harder to deal with.  People including family always ask if we are going to have more.  It seems like everyone around me is either pg or just had a baby, my son even asks when he sees other kids with their littler siblings why he does not have a baby too and this just breaks my heart.  I am asking for any amount of money to get us toward the goal of $15,000 to pay for one round of IVF.

My infertility has made me feel like a failure like I'm lost, alone, pointless and useless.  I feel as if I have let my husband down.  Many people say that it will come when the time is right, this is a nice idea but it is very painful to see people everyday in the news, which have abandoned, neglected or even killed their own children and I who want another child to love a care for have to go through hell to maybe get there.  I also know a few people who have their own miracle babies that were never supposed to be able to have children and, believe me I count my blessing every day to have my angel with me everyday I just wish I could share that love with another child.

Hi, I'm a single parent with a special needs daughter. She is Seizure disorder, ADHD And Learning Disabled.     Recently She was Hospitalized For a Grandmal Seizure- where it was determined that her depakote level was below 1. Theraputic level is between 50-100. Which means she hadn't been taking her medication. So consequently I had to be out of work for 6 days Causing me to to be short 1008.00 + on my paycheck. at the same time my roommate went to jail for driving on suspended license in my vehicle. I had to borrow my sister's car for 3 days until I was able to get my vehicle out of the pound costing me 168.00 Plus the money I had to spend to get more gas to put in my sisters car.Top that off ,my roommate hadn't paid his share of the rent which is 500.00 before being arrested. So Now I'm Behind in Rent and Bills. I've never been behind in rent since I've lived here.These debts are totalling approximately 1,876.00 I dont want to get any further behind. I want to get out of the hole. I can pay - payment installments. Even if you can give me close to this amount I would be so grateful. Can someone help me out? Greetings. I am seeking assistance with a loan in the amount of $600.00 to get the remaining 12 rotten teeth I have left extrcted (3 upper and 9 lower) and purchase an inexpensive set of dentures. I have never had healthy teeth. I received a 2 partial plates just prior to my retirement form the Army in 1995. All of my four older siblings have gotten false teeth at a younger age than myself. In January of 2003 my world came crumbling down. I had a Triple Bypass and got a staff infection at the hospital during or after the operation. Thhis led to a left lung thorascopy 8 weeks later and another staff infection. Six months later my wife filed for divorce stating she had been seeing another man for three years.I had to move to Florida for health reasons. I selected Florida because I had a brother and sister living there. My ex-wife maxed out two credit cards and a home equity line of credit while the divorce was inprocess.  I was forced to file for bankruptcy because I was unable to pay the bills because of my inability to work full time. I contacted all of my creditors and they requested a copy of my wife’s petition for divorce and compared it to the date of the charges. They stated they would hold her liable for all charges after the date of the petition which statement all charges to were to cease on all joint accounts. My creditors then contacted me and wished me well and stated they would not bother appearing at the at the bankruptcy hearing because my situation with work and health were beyond my control. Since my heart and lung surgeries I have suffered from the following;

1. Nonspecifc Pericartitis
2. Acid Reflux
3. Sleep Apnea
4. Restless Leg Syndrome
5. Rapid Eye Movement Disorder
6. Shortness of Breath
7. Chronic Fatigue
8. Degenerative Arthritis in both knees (20% VA Disability)
9. Torn Muscles in my left shoulder (10% VA Disability)
10. Chronic Depression
11. Four Disconnected Tendons, Missing bone fragments, missing muscle tissue in left hand from Circular saw injury
12. High Blood Pressure
13. High Cholestral
14. Anxiety attacks
15. Intermittent Chest pains (must carry nitroglycerin)
16. Allergies to Mercury, Iodine, Vioxx, Mirtazipine, Seafood, and Cats.

I take 19 prescription medicines every day for pain relieve and sustainment. I will never recover from the illnesses listed above. Some days because of chest pains and allergic reactions I have to take up to 20 to 24 pills per day. My life expectancy is approximately two to three years. I currently live in an efficiency apartment. My Monthly expenses are $773.67. I can provide details if required. I try to live on $267.93 each month. I do not have a car and buy a monthly bus price at the disabled rate here in Phoenix. My Military Retirement pay and VA Disability Income each month is $1,043.60 per month. I only need about $100.00 each month for food. I do send my 84 year old blind Mother who is in a nursing home in Normal, Illinois $45.00 per month because a younger sibling embezzled approximately $20,000.00 from her illegally to support her gambling and alcohol addiction. The cheapest dentist I can find who will pull my remaining 12 teeth and provide full dentures will cost about $600 with taxes. I hope to get a loan that I will repay in 6 to 7 months. I believe I can afford $100.00 in payments each month. I can provide a promissory note from my son who is the beneficiary of my three life insurance policies, VSGLA ($100,000.00), ASMBA ($35,000.00), VA Disability Insurance ($10,000.00, and VFW Life Member Insurance of ($1,000.00). I am unable to purchase any life insurance currently because of my poor health.  I have scanned my two DD Form 14(s) and several other Military documents if proof of my Military Service is/are required. I am very embarrassed to ask for help, but my teeth are killing me and the VA will no assist me because my dental problems are not service related and I am only rated 30% disabled, not 100% disabled which would qualify me for Dental Treatment. My VA Doctor did complete a ADA Form 2095 for me stating I am permanently disabled for cardiovascular and heart problems, along with a depressive mental disorder. I have an appeal pending with the Social Security Administration. My initial Claim was denied in two months, my first appeal was denied in 12 months, my appeal hearing took place 16 months later, and my current appeal is at the Appellate Review and Adjudication Board. I was informed the decision from them may take from 16 to 30 months. My eligibility for Social Security Disability expires in less than 24 months. So if they delay my decision over 24 months, I automatically lose by virtue of time and receive no retro pay whatsoever.  My lawyer and I have sent supporting documents with the appeal showing the judge’s decision was both prejducial  and biased;

1. The Judge stated I am disabled in reference to my depressive disorder.
2. The judge stated my left hand will regain full use in less that 12 months even though my hand surgeon records supplied to the judge stated I need another operation to reconnect the broken tendons, nerve endings, missing muscle tissue, and bone fragments. I offered to show the Judge my injured hand by removing my hand brace. The Judge stated he did not want to see it and ordered me to keep it on. He stated he had reviewed the hand surgeon records yet on the Notice of Decision the records are missing in the list of exhibits.
3. The Judge stated I can no longer do any of the work I did the past 33 years from 1970 through 2003, yet I could take the knowledge and experience from these jobs to find a new job. He then stated that I cannot work a full range of light duty jobs.
4. The Judge ended the hearing after he asked the Vocational Expert, “If I were to miss 2 to 4 days per month for Doctor’s appointments or chest pains, or fatigue, would any employer hire me for gainful employement?”. The Vocational Expert said, “No employer will hire Mr. Kinsella”. The Judge then ended the hearing. I have proof of this statement on my CD recording I received from the Hearing Office at Time Stamp 73:10. The judge decided to omit this question and answer because it did not support his denial.
5. The Judge stated that VA Doctor James Jones in Danville stated that my breathing was normal on March 6, 2006. He left out the information I provided from Dr. Birge’s appointment on March 7, 2006 stating my left lung had been completely collapsed for 2 to 3 weeks and Questioned whether VA Doctor Jones was an actual Doctor.
6. I have tried to update my address with the Social Security Office at the National Level and Local Offices here in Phoenix for the last 45 days, once a week. The computerized phone systems are both inoperable. The National Number states you can change your address if you have applied for disability. The next question states they need to know the amount of your last check. Well if you have only applied and appealed your SSD Claim you are not receiving a monthly check. The machine then cuts you off. The local SS Office hear in Phoenix asks for your Name, Address, and City, State, and Zip Code. When your responses are played back for approval and transmittal, the recordings are blank. If you select to rerecord, they are blank. I did attempt to talk to a live person. After 40 minutes on hold, listening to one song over and over and over. A live gentlemen answered. I explained my address change problems. He stated, “That is messed up”. I asked if he could change my address and he stated he was not authorized. I asked if he had any suggestions and he stated he did not. I am almost positive if I ever receive another denial, it will be because I did not provide a current address or my eligibility has expired. Even though I have tried by phone, email, local, national, and in person, I cannot change my address. This is the respect I receive for serving in the Army for 40% of my Adult life. I am treated like a criminal or subspecies of a human.

My memory is spotty at best. Every time I talk or deal with the Social Security I make dated word documents so the information I have is accurate. There is no way I can remember all of this information.

I have had a total of 96 Prescriptions since 1995. 91 of these were prescribed after my Heart and Lung Surgery n 2003. For the last Four Years I have averaged a new prescription every 16 days.

I am a 59 year old woman in great need of financial assistance. I worked for the same company for 17 years , but was laid off in 2005, and it has been down hill ever since. I have been working for a temp service for the last 2 years with no sick pay or medical benefits. The summer of 2005, I lived in some friends garage all through the long hot summer without any air onditioning. Then in 2006 some friends had an old trailer in their back yard in South Phoenix, so I moved in there. I didn't have anything there but a fan, and it was another long hot summer, plus I laid awake nights listening to all the gunfire around me. I finally found a trailer to rent in Dec of 22006 in North Phoenix. I have been doing okay until summer hit. The trailr only has an ac in one of the bedrooms and in the living room. It runs constantly too keep the house bearable. Unfortuantely now I am faced with utility bills that I can't afford. Last month they were $250 and this month $350.00. I now am facing eviction because I cannot afford to pay rent and these high utilities. If anyone out there can help me, I would be forever grateful and would pay you back a little at a time, or pay it forward and help someone else in need. Any amount would be gratefully appreaciated. If you cannot afford to help me, please pray for me. This is my only hope.

Hi my name is Tim.  I am a single father of two small children.  My wife died about 4 months ago.  I work full time, and go to school full time.  I would be considered an example of 'working poor'.  Although I've qualified for some financial aid, it's not nearly enough to cover all of my expenses.  I guess most schools figure that everyone going there is single and living with three other students.

For those who think I must be irresponsible and that I should pay for things myself, I would love to.  I would apply for my own personal loan to pay for school and all my expenses, but when I was in the air force stationed overseas, my father stole my credit and ruined it.  I came back to over $50,000 debt in my name.  None of which was mine.  I had to file bankruptcy shortly after getting back to the states.  So, to others I appear to be irresponsible, when in fact, I tried for months to pay down the debt, but was overwhelmed.

I would appreciate any size donation.  I don't want a hand-out, just a hand-up.  Once I have acheived my goal of a degree and my finanacial situation has improved, I pledge to help others as I have been helped.

Hi My name is Peggy.   I was laid off from my job in 2004, and have been working through a temporary service since then.  I recently lost my mother,

and am having a lot of financial problems right now.  I finally found a trailer to live in after living with friends for the last two years.  But I took time off work to be with my mom before she died,  and now I am going to be evicted if I don't

come up with 600 dollars. My license on the car is also due since the end of

March, and I got a ticket for that yesterday.  The license are 115.00. With gas so

high and missing work, I am sinking fast.  I try to keep a positive attitude, but it

is getting harder and harder.  I have no one to turn to for a loan, and my credit

is so bad after being laid off, and trying to make it for a few months on unemployment. I got mixed up in those pay day loans and now my credit is shot.

If anyone can help me, I would be forever grateful.  I would gladly pay you

back if I could pay a little at a time.

That will except a housing choice certificate, in the amount of $1200 including utilities, with an agreement between myself and the renter or more than a one-year lease.  Initially the lease will be for one year and then I will need it to be extended for at least five years, one year at a time.  Need to find something ASAP, as my present lease expires October 31, 2007
