i'm not gonna lie... i need some help.  but i don't intend to be like this forever.  i very responsible, and very giving, i just had a set-back (robbery).  there were times where i felt like giving up, but i survived it, and although i'm not out of the dark yet, i feel i've passed the hardest part.

i'm still living paycheck to paycheck (which is bad, cause there is no paycheck coming this month... it's off season for me), but at least i have an apartment.  no bed yet... but i don't care.  sleeping on a pile of blankets is the most comfy thing in the world after going 7 months of being afraid to sleep at all out of fear because you were in an unsafe place.

i want to let people know: if you have a place to live, nothing can be that bad.  so you can't afford to buy your spouse a gift... make them one.  so your car breaks down... ride a bike, take the bus, carpool.  so you're stuck eating raumen noodles... get creative inventing soups!  all i'm saying is nothing NOTHING can compair to the feeling of safty.  it took me a long time to realize this... and losing everything i had.  now... i don't have anything exciting (no tv, no stereo, no fancy clothes, no jewelry, no bed, no car) but i am so happy to have a place where i can lock the door.  where i know i'm safe.  don't worry so much about what you put in it... just keep your family and yourself safe.

Hello. My name is Mandi. Like a lot of low income families in portland, I am a single mother to a beautiful boy named Chevy James or CJ. We are struggling now to make endsmeet. I need some help. Not a large some of money but something to help us get rent this month and a payment to the phone company so it doesnt get shut off. I made most of it up on my own for rent. I am in need desperately for 100.00 towards rent and 70.00 towards the phone bills. $ 170.00  Here is why: My apt complex's new owner is trying to get rid of all the older residents like myself especially since I am on unemployment and struggle to make rent on time for my son and I. I pay 525.00 for rent, my unemployment is 552.00 but that's hard to do when you have a little boy who eats more then foodcard gives anymore and also diapers and everyday expenses you encounter with a toddler. My apt is moldy since i moved in, i have been told of a new unit twice and they have been given away. I have one available next month so it is urgent that i make my rent this month, get into a healthy apt in the unit across from mine and my son will get better since getting pneumonia during this last month. It has held my work search up because he was sent to the ER two nights and then had problems with various antibiotics so its been hard to get arround to much of anything this month as far as work goes.  Please I urge you I dont need much and I will even settle for 100.00 for rent if it comes down to it. Just please god please help us get out of this hellish place and on the road to self suffeciency. I am almost there but my local services are not available due to so many people out there who can wait at four a.m. to get rent assistance. I cant do that not with a one year old. :*( I also cant wait around hoping i win a lottery for rent assistance either. I call human solutions everymonth. I am a responsible caring mom, I have items to sell or trade JBL car amp, baby items/toys he's outgrown, Piaa fog light systems, dvds, pretty prom dresses in perfect condition or use towards donations if I am awarded my AIDE requested amount.

Is there any real help in the way of grants for individuals outhere? I have read far too many posts, and no one seems to have received anything.....we are surely living in a terrible time.........

I have put this in a Blog, however, it is tucked away, and I have only had a few people comment on it- telling me to keep my head up- and not let the big corporate, profiting gluttons get to me- just to keep on going with my dream!  And, that is what I am doing-  I just need a grant writer to help me to get a grant!  I have faith that my ideas will make it to the marketplace with the consumer saying,"wow, this is sweet."  If you can help in any way- I would appreciate it- I am currently working on getting provisional patents from legalzoom.com- I am homebound, and this is very difficult with no funds, but I will continue to persevere-

My World is sometimes complicated and complex- Ironically, what an invention Co. said to me about my (2) two inventions. I sent them to another Co. and they said that one of my ideas had went to N.Y. and was to be evaluated by a group of engineers. A couple weeks go by and I received a call from Kurt Nelson who works for Davison who has been sued for misrepresentation (26-28) million. I was asked to provide more patent art with greater detail, and any ideas that I could come up with also. I did not give them (1) RED cent, nor did I give them any more patent art or explanations on how all parts integrated in a complete working order. I googled this idea and I was jaw dropped when I read 99.9% of this idea said what I had written earlier to Davison and Inventors Helpline- might as well add them. I believe that my ideas were sold- Not to long ago, I was watching the news at 6am and there was a story about an invention(idea) that Bill Gates (Microsoft) TM was doing. Well, as every one probably knows, it is Virtual Tour and they had, at the time, mapped 17 states thus far. I couldn't believe that Mr. Gates had somehow, got his hands on another idea that I submitted to these phony, rip-off infomercials years earlier! I do have a fax that I first submitted to Davison about my ideas- so maybe that will help. If anyone reads this and knows any suggestions about going after Davison, as they are already known schemers (bad Karma) profitering gluttons-  After all, Mr. Gates does not need his bottom line padded more, especially at someone else's expense. I Emailed Gates, but have yet to receive a reply. He gets 4 million Emails approx: every day, and Microsoft employee's sift through his mail and decide what goes into his in-box.

     Anyway, I have many other ideas and I am getting ready to send them- one(1) or two(2) to my engineer and get a provisional patent etc. I almost got a Domain name concerning this and I will just leave it at that.  I will talk with you more after I send my invention ideas and patent art to my engineer. i recently (about 4 1/2 months ago) got back on my feet after a devistating set-back.  i worked for the past 6 years to start my own company.  i was doing really well last year, but it all came to a stop when i got jumped, stabbed and robbed of my work equipment by some drug addicts.  i was homeless for 7 months afterwards, because my landlord decided to sell my house, and i had nowhere to go and i couldn't work after the attack.  i have a degree in a field that is very hard to find work in, so without my editing gear, i wasn't able to find a job for a long time.  i found a short term job, and got enough money together to get an apartment, and get back on track.  that job ended, and i've been trying my hardest to find a job till this one starts up again (it'll start in Jan), but have had no luck. 

long story short, this month i'm $345 short on my rent.  on the 15th, if i don't pay, i'm back to being homeless, and i'm scared, cause last time i almost didn't survive it.  i don't have any friends or family that can help me (my only friend is poor, and my only family is my gramps, who i take care of), so i really can't turn to anyone.  if anyone can help me out, i'm really scared, and i don't know what to do.  i've sold everything i can, and i don't waste my money on anything unessisary (i don't even buy stuff i need, like a pair of shoes with no holes in them)... i'm responsible, i just can't recover from such a huge set-back without help.

                     I'm a 45yr old woman with health problem. 2004 my Husband of 15yrs was killed in work related  accident. I draw $720.00 death benefits. I lost my home shortly after he died. I lived out of my car and with my adult  children for about year. I saved and find a house to rent . I lived there for a year and half and must of the time very sick . 3 weeks ago the house was condem because of mold. I stay at my brother's home . But he has 5 children  he does not really have room for me. I tryed to get some extra money from my death benefits but the judge say a home is not a reason to get some of that money. I lost my car paying for the rent on this house that made me so sick. If you know how I can get help please tell me about it.  I've tryed to get in to public house and I'm on the waiting list but it could take a year or more and I don't have the money for the deposit and first months rent. The low cost housing  places are asking for $1000.00 at one and the other is $1200.00 to move in. Please if you know of some help. I live in Tennessee.

I am posting this asking for any help or resources for my best friend. She is an amazing proud 24 year old single mother of a 3 year old daughter. She is divorced from the father of the daughter who was extremely abusive. He is an Iraq veteran and now a jobless drug addict. He pays no child support and is living in his parent’s basement. While visiting her dad the little girl was sexually abused (by her uncle) recently according to child protective services and due to her young age there is not solid enough evidence to charge anyone with a crime. Her mother who is a 2nd year full time college student has had to move back into a small room in her parent’s house with her daughter. She is at risk of having to drop out of school due to her overwhelming debt accrued during the divorce by her dead beat ex. She had to run up credit card bills to buy formula and diapers for the baby.

She is in a debt repayment program already and paying 250 dollars a month to pay off around 9,000 in credit card debt. She also has a 188 dollar a month car payment on a car that she needs to be able to get herself to school and her daughter to daycare. Her daughter is enrolled in a head start school program for at risk youth that allows mom to go to school during the day. She does not qualify for welfare because she would have to work full time. If she worked full time she would have to drop out of school and then start paying off yet another monthly bill of student loans that would be of no value as she does not have a degree yet. Her daughter would then also not qualify for daycare and she would end up having to pay full price for it.

Her parents are poor and unwilling to help and want her out of the house soon. She thought about selling her car so that she could save money but she would not be able to commute from where she is to school and daycare and the value of the car is only about half the total left to pay it off.

If she files for bankruptcy I think she will lose the car that she needs. If she works she would have to pay for daycare as family will not watch the child and the cost of daycare I think is too high. She is also very worried about the negative impact her parents are having on her mother/daughter relationship as anytime she tries to discipline her daughter her mother undermines her authority. Her mother also fills the grandchild up on sugar and lets the kid stay up until midnight. This makes it impossible for my friend to get her homework done as her mo0ther yells at her to take care of her daughter, but then gets mad when she makes her go to bed. My friend’s mother is an extremely conservative woman who feels that going to school is the wrong thing and that she should drop out of college because it is not the right thing for a woman to do. She is trying to sabotage her daughters fight to succeed as a single mother.

My friend has two cavities, and needs glasses and does not have any medical insurance. She found out that she may even be getting a bill for 1000 dollars for bringing her daughter to the emergency room in regards to the sexual molestation by the uncle.

My best friend has had a very hard life, father left mom at the age of 10 for another man, molested by people her whole childhood, and first raped at age 14 and repeatedly over her teen years. She is worried about her daughter falling into the same horrible problems. I am trying to find sources of help for her so that she can succeed in providing a better life for her daughter than she had. I myself am helping as much as I can, which is not much being a student myself. She is a very determined woman going to school majoring in sociology so that she can get a job making a difference in those less fortunate. It is extremely hard for her to ask for help, so I am for her.

Looking for a helping hand with:

1. Dental care

2. Glasses

3. Medical bill for child

4. Help paying off credit card debt

5. Money for rent or school

6. Daycare assistance so she can work more

At this point every little drop in the bucket can help; clothing is the one thing that they have plenty of as it seems to be the only easy help to get.

Hi ....I am 31 years old and i have just been told i have Breast Cancer. The thing that makes it worse is i dont have any income or health insurance...i have applied for SSD & SSI and medicare but was told it is a 3 to 4 month wait untill i know if i get appproved or if i am denied......so if the Cancer wasnt bad enough not being able to pay the required deposit to the Dr's office (need to pay dep. cause of no insur.)in order to start recieving my treatments to beat this Cancer is even worse to me..each day that i dont get treatment scares me and makes the stress level even worse.... thanks in advance for any help you might provide to me 

Hi I just posted a request for help. I am 9 months pregnant due 10/01/07 and I have a 18 month old son. I had my gas shut off today because I didnt make the full payment they requested. I also have shut off notices for my electric & water as well. I owe 299.00 for my water, 315.00 for my electric & 225.00 to have my gas turned back on. I was working full time until July 07 but pulled a muscle in my stomach & was forced to quit. I was denied state disability because I have only been living in Oregon since February 07. If anyone can help me or show me where to get assistance I would really appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

    ok i found out in april i have breast cancer..heres the deal i have no income , no insurance and no way to pay the $ 45,000+ in medical bills i have piling up ...i have tried state agencies with no luck..hell i cant even get SSI as they dont think i am disabled...well i do even if it is temporary!!so to hell with them....so stopping short of doing some "cardboared advertising" on the closest street corner i thought i would try here once again.....im not asking for anybody to pay the $45,000+ in bills just asking for any kind of help ....im 31 and way too young for most help alot of programs offer (but not too young for cancer??) huh hows that?...anyways anything would help thank you for reading this blabbing page.....
