NEED HELP FINDING GRANTS!

I'm a single mother of 3 who is disabled and hasn't been able to work in about 9 years. My oldest's dad died when she was 2 years old, and my other 2 children have an absent father who pays support sporadically. We survive on the death benefits from my daughter's dad, and child support from the others. As I have already stated, I'm disabled (Fibromyalgia, P.C.O.S., Degenerative Disc Disease, Scoliosis, TMJ, Spondylosis, etc... have also had cardio-thorasic surgery), and although I have a handicap license plate issued by my state, I have been unsuccessful with Social Security. I'm not one who normally reveals my health problems (because I do not wish to have anyone feel sorry for me), I only want people to understand why it is that I can no longer work. 

My daughter is 11 years old and ranks in the 95th percentile nationally for academics. She has been nominated to attend the People To People Ambassador Program in Washington D.C. next fall and I just cannot afford to send her on my own. The school has suggested that she raise the funds by having a bake sale or selling candy... how many cookies, cakes, and candy bars do you think it will take her to raise around $3000? I have read some of the posts on here where people are asking others for money or gifts, I'm asking for help finding a grant that will assist me in paying for this once in a lifetime opportunity. Not only for my child, but for the rest of the kids who cannot afford to go and do not deserve to be penalized for their family's economic state!
