We are a family of five.  Over the past year, we have been plagued with numerous medical bills.   Two of our children have had to have surgery and now my husband has injured his back and has not been able to work full-time and therefore cannot get his disability income.  And in order to get SSI, you have to be disabled for at least six months, so we are in a real bind just trying to meet our everyday needs let alone pay all the medical bills we face.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Even if there is a good samaritan out there that is willing to make us a good loan just to get us back on our feet and give us some peace of mind would help tremendously.  Please help....may God bless.

Hi... My name is Raci, I am a 26 year old single mother of 2 precious children whom I love with all my heart... I live in Florida.

I was laid off about 6 months ago and since then things have gone downhill. I have been working here and there but not enough to pay all the bills. I just lost my car this morning, it was reposessed and I am so lost.

I have a possible job opportunity but now with no car and soon no where to live the new job possiblity seems less important. I live in a small town and there is no bus transportation. I also have no family to help me. My ex husband was abusive and lives in another state and this plus the fact that he moves around is making it impossible to get child support ordered. He was physically abusive so I can't get help from him.

I want to go back to school, I have been looking into it. I'm afraid until I stabalize this situation going back to school is impossible.

Does anyone know of any programs in Florida to help single mothers get back on their feet? I haven't ever been this bad off. I have always been able to provide for my children, at this point I feel like I have failed them as a mother, I just don't know what to do.

If anyone has any suggestions I would be so greatful!

Well things aren't looking up in certain areas but I may have a place to live. I had to give my 30 day notice since there is no way I will have the rent for next month, my landlord is understanding but seeing as how she lives on a fixed income she is unable to give me an extension. A friend of mine has offered to let us move in with her as room mates. Now I just need to secure this job (crossed fingers) and figure out how to get transportation! Atleast I have new hope. I just know something will work out for us... and thank you all that have lent support, kind words have helped me already, you are all such special people! 

my name is candace i am a single 29 year old mom with 4 young kids ages 5 thru 12..we have been through alot this year.we moved to a different town to escape an abusive situation full of drugs and violence...we were doing ok and i was a waitress making it for us..i was recently fired may 23rd.and we are very broke.bills rent and daily needs are not met. i do not qualify for cash assistance and child support comes few and far between.the shut off notices are rollin in and unemployment is only 60 a week due to the waitress wages here.every penny i get is a borrowed one and have no clue when i can pay our way or them back..finding a job is hard when i barely even have bus money..bottom line we need anything and everything right now..3 to 5 grand would put us right where we need to be..please if u can help let me know..i filled out grant forms already and i still havent heard anything...please if you can help us. thank you

i am a single mother of 4 in pittsburgh,pa. i recently disconnected from my mother(the only family i had) due to her drug use and abuse..i moved into another town with my kids and was doing ok.i was a diner waitress and made ends meet. in may 23-07 i was fired and still have not found work.waitress wage unemployment checks are around $50 a week.i cannot get welfare and child support payments are few and far between. i have not paid june's rent-i am getting shut off notices already and i am stuck..i cannot put my kids back into an abusive home..my only choice may end up being a shelter. my kids are 12,10,7,and 5. i dont want them to endure such pain..please i have applications in all over the place and even if i got a job today by the time i got paid we may not have a home or electric-water-phone-gas ...i feel like 5,000 would get me and my family back on track...please if you can help we would be so grateful...i could maybe try to pay it back little by little...i just need help..thank you and god bless.

I was recently asked to leave the home of my girlfriend because she met another man online with whom she decided to live with in her home. I desperately need temporary shelter for myself and my dog Kira, while I search for work. Would require approximately 6 weeks of shelter, and I can do odd jobs around the house to assist. I was a machinist mate in the Navy, and I am quite handy. Location not too important but should be near a town or city so I can find work. New events have transpired to the tune of my finding an employer who will hire me, and I have managed to find a hotel that can take me with my dog. The hotel will charge me $200 per week so I am in a position of needing $400 two pay for two weeks until I would receive my first paycheck. I implore any who can help, I have done all the legwork I can here, and it all comes down to $400 to secure at least my immediate future. I would be more than happy to make a payback arrangement for anyone who can help me out here. I am at my wits end here, with nobody left to ask except you kind people. Please help save at least one lost soul and his best canine friend.

my name is rosie and i have 3 children. i have a girl named destiniah, shes 5, i have a boy named angel and hes gonna be 4, and i have another girl and her name is janese, shes 3 months. well i just got kicked out of where i was staying and i have no place to go. my two oldest children are with their father, thank god for that, it would've been so hard for me to deal with that. all im asking for is shelter somewhere, anywhere. i need to go somewhere with my daughter 

Our Mission and Our Dream

Our mission and our dream for the near future is to bring to our local community all housed under one roof a Holistic Center Market which the profits will go to help support our Eco friendly Women's Center, which will be in the country. 

1.  Holistic Center with a sliding fee scale to be able to assist all individuals.  We hope to be able to offer all different modules of alternative therapies. 

2.  Art Center for local area artists.

3.  Organic grocery for the local organic farmers to be able to sell their produce.  This is also were the abuse shelter will be able to sell their excess produce.

4.  Gift shop for local area individuals to sell their handcrafted supplies.

5.  Social Service to help those that have temporarily fallen down on their luck.  This will also be used as a intake station for our abuse center

6.  Organic cafe and herbal tea room, for relaxation and socializing.

7.  Abuse Shelter.  This would be long term, that will offer healing for the body, mind and soul as one.  Schooling will be available for the ones that need to complete their GED or learn a trade.  The women will participate in growing their own produce and the excess will be sold at the Holistic Center Market. 

We are hoping for this to be a proto type that will be able to emerge in each and every community.  Bringing all like minded individuals together to help form a better unity and bond and to help spread the joy.  Helping to utilize each others talents as well as expanding our knowledge.

I am a 26 year old male with mental illness of schizophrenia and mild mental retardation. My mother is currently out of work but has been trying to find work for a long time and cannot secure a job. She is so stressed and so am I. I recieve a fixed income but it is not enough for us to make it through the month as we are trying to pay for shelter and such. It is so hard.But we are scared to die. The homeless shelters will not allow us to live together because of my age and being alone around strangers is so hard for me with this illness. Please help us somebody if you can by offering donations or put us to work to do odd jobs. We are extremely decent people with spotless backgrounds and no use of drugs or alcohol. URGENT EXTREME MATTER!! I am a 24 year old with a three year old daughter.  On March 27, 2008 my home was vandalized by gang members that live in the community.  This left my family with nothing; they destroyed our apartment.  They stole my flat screen tv, computer and printer, jewelry. And took a knife and sliced my $ 1800 living room chair up and down. They destroyed all of me and my families clothes, and a act of hatred.  I had to resort to staying in a hotel for a few nights in fear. But if anyone can make a donation for  me and my family to get back on our feet please call me. If it a way for me to get a new apartment, or help to get a house or help with some of the other loses we expereinced please reach me.  I have no money to pay a broker to try to get another place, and my landlord does not want to help.  PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously don't know what to do... I really feel like I've been in a dead end, and nothing is working. Its been a ROUGH year.

 
We moved closer to my husbands family when I was pregnant with our 2nd child in 06, to a city we found later we wouldnt be able to find steady jobs. In 2007 we moved in a beautiful house we rented, with our 2 kids and suddenly my husband loses his job because the job couldnt keep him as a driver on their insurance; which made us become evicted. Our family didnt want to help us - and we were homeless. NO shelters in florida will take us because they are FULL or because we have KIDS. Finally after battling for a month my parents let us move in Oct 07, which we would be moving out the end of Feb with our income tax. Through all this, we found out my husband has a 8 year old son which he just went to court in 12/07- with child support starting 2/08 which we started paying. Now 5 days later when our income tax was supposed to be in our account, the child support TOOK it for the child support! My mom has already gaven us the written notice of eviction within 30 days AFTER my mom spit in my husbands face, and her bf throwing my husband on the sliding glass door choking him so he called the cops. Im so over these hard times, and I'm so terrified of losing my children over this.
