I coached Special Olympics for 4 years until I had the accident. I am  raising my 5 year old daughter. I have worked an many projects including assisting in a wildlife reservation to treat & release injured animals.

I started a local group that encourages Students to stay abstinant  until marriage and away from illegal drugs. I enjoy cartoons  and reading with my Daughter and she would love to continue Karate/Gymnastics but there is no more money. She recieved her first Yellow belt recently Nov. 17, 2006. I am so proud of her and she tells everyone she prays for her Daddy everyday to get well.

She is my little fireball and is not bashful  at meeting people.

In 2002 I had an accident and I was making a very good living. I had been married since 1998. After our resoueces ran out and many garage sales , my wife left me for another man. She married him and then he got sick with ms and met a nother boyfriend that worked on the road, therefore i am raising my 5 year old  alone. I have no money coming in and after selling heirlooms and old antiques 2 1/2 years later I finally lost my house. I am in chroonic pain and am still having trouble finding pain management Physicians.A family of a mopther who had a home allowed us to move in her but I am still tryign to get custody. I have no income. I have seen different doctors and now finnally I am waiting for my disability. I was a Professional Clown and I am a  Licensed Minister.
I need $1,500 for the custody fees to have peace of mind, because my Daughter Mom has told me several times her Mom yells at her and left her alone before. I also need a small loan till my disability back pay comes in would be appreciated so I can keep thelights on and the therent paid. I am willing to sign a contract to pay back every penny and give references of my integrity. I coached special olympics for 4 years and was a Games Director. I did work for D.C.F. as an independent provider with Developmental services, but as my condition gets worse weekly. I had so much trouble getting the right medical care, because my accident happened at work , therefore I couldn't use my own insurance and would've if i could've because my Doctor was  super busy the day of my forst visit after the accident. Unfortuanately I had a smaller accident and had a fractured wrist seeeing the same doctor, so he thought it was a routine visit apparently, because when I went back in Dec. He said he would order an M.R.I and continue treating me. He later wrote me a letter explaining the mistake, because he failed to make any notes pertaining to my back and neck. Worker's Comp screwed me and totally stopped all my benefits.That's when my wife left me to make it own my own.  I was still in alotof Pain and I didn't know the extent of the damage to my Back and neck. I have had trouble since. If anyone knows where I can go for help or has any ideas. I am willing to share my profits when my inventions get recognition if anyone can help me financially get thses inventions off the ground. I recently was selected to be published in "The International Of Who's Who In Poetry. And will be featered with one of my poems being read by a professional voice major on a 33 track (Tract for each Poet)three volume CD poetry Collection. These poems I hope ii can do something with are from the past.
Anyway if somone can help me I would appreciated. i am frustrated at the system and if it weren't for the lord( Who ministerds to me throughHis word daily and fills me with his peace of eternal life ) I would have ended my life, but my obligation to my daughter has kept me going.

The reason I need help is to try to get my life back on track. when you are down it is hard to go forth and concentrate. I have the peace of the lord to keep me from going insane, but that doesn't pay the bills.

I used to colenteer alot doing charity work as a professional Clown and I would like to get back in it in some way, but the pain is dso severe i can't concentrate. Getting the right medical help has really been difficult.

I am a veteren who served overseas during the beriut bombings in 1984 I was in Turkey near Sirera at the time. It took 8 months to get a Scheduled M.R.I. whenWorkmans comp dropped me. and then we didn't get a good reading so we had to be rescheduled, so I went to a private facility to get the M.R.I.which took another few months.

I am still having trouble getting help.

I would love to get my Daughter in Some type of acting and voice lessons, because she has a beautiful voice.

If only I was directed in the right way maybe I could get my life on track. I  haveexhausted All my resources.

My friend said he would be willing to put up some rare brand new still in the box Nascar dicast Cars 1:24 and 1:18 scale. He is really sick as well and doesn't have the energy to sell them, but will if he can get a good price and is willing to help me then.

I mean they are rare 1st Edition Nascar Dicast. He has some rare beautiful Porcelain Dolls He'd sell to help me, that was His Mom's before she passee away. He doesn't have the time and I don't know where to start. You have to have a bank account to sell on e-bay and we don't have enough money now to open a bank account.

I really don't know where to go for assistence. I came across this site after years of frustration and pain typing in help for single dads. Again any ideas.

 On  Halloween while we visited houses my Daughter who is so cool and amazing. She showed her gratite when she got candy by sharing a bit of wisdom with the candy givers.

Here it goes; I hope it doesn't offend anyone, b ut it is the truth what she shared.

she wouold say at first"trick or treat, then after she recieved candy she would say"The devilm is the trickster but jesus is my treat ,Thank you for giving me something good to eat. and some would actually give her more candy. Yelp we have plenty of sweets, just Pray that opportunities present thermselves so we can again make a difference in our community.

there is no such thing as help anymore just "HOPE"

Good afternoon, I`m a single Father living in New Jersey. I came across this sight because I need cash assistance. I applied for section 8 in Elizabeth, New Jersey back in 1999/2000. My son and I lived in Elizabeth untill October of 2007. I left my apartment in October of 2007 because the current landlord sent me a letter from a Lawyer saying that I have to vacant my apartment . No reason was given. I left, came into contact with a friend from some twenty years ago. She invited my son and I to her apartment until I get back on my feet. I moved my items in November of 2007, everything was sweet. Now, we all know that things don`t stay the same, my friend founded this house which was to much for me to handle, so I had to back out, she went on to move into the house, Stress started to form because I`m about to be homeless if I don`t get no help. I called the city of Elizabeth to see the status of my case, don`t you know that they sent the letter to the wrong address. The Lady says to me Mr. Harris, we were lookin for you since, September of 2007. To make a long story short, I qualify for a two bedroom apartment. My goal is to move in my apartment by June of 2008. I`m asking for cash assistance to help with the security and first months rent. I have email if anyone is willing to help support me. I`m trying to set example that we as Men can take care of our kids too. Thank you for allowing me to vent my worries to you.

I would like to be closer to my two boys, my 3 year old lives in New Jersey with his Mom, my 10 year old lives in PA with his Mom. I would like help to clean up my credit, then i can maybe get a three family home for all of us to be closer to each other. I provide for my kids and I believe that Mothers belongs with the children and a father needs to be there for each andf every step a child takes. The  price of gas and tolls in this area is expensive, i would like some help from a credit repair person, and anything to help me get closer to my kids. In need of help this holiday season with back owed rent and bills.

i am a struggling single father of 4 children, i work to provide for my family, but sometimes it is just not enough.

i dont  have the training or edjucation to obtain a better paying job ,but im doing all i can. between the rent, mounting bills, the day care,  the cost of everyday living period, is so overwhelming ,trying to do it  on my own i dont know where else to turn.

 im unable to give my children a christmas let alone thanksgiving. SOMEONE  PLZ HELP!

Right now I am in the process of getting divorced from my wife, the problem is that she had been cheating on me and running up bills for the last 8 months. Now I did get majority custody of our 1 yr old son, but just trying to keep up with all the bill is driving me nuts. We had a vw restoration business going, and as soon as she decided to leave, she cut off the website and phone line to it. I restarted the business under a different name and number again this January, but now havent been able to get into the shop because she reported me to the California BAR and they want 200 bucks for a permit. On top of that when she left she cleaned out the bank accounts for the cool sum of 12,000. and left me with .99 cents in the account exactly. She has told me that she is going to do her best to ruin me and right now she is achieving her goal. I cant get a loan due to the bills she ran up, so this is sort of my last hurrah. I was on the internet looking to see what kind of miracle I could find and saw this link. So for anybody that has ever been through what Im going through right now, you know how it is when you are so desparate that your willing to do just about anything. I have tried to reason with my ex and explain to her that the better I do in life the better it is for our son, but she doesnt care, already moved in with her new guy and is having the time of her life. 6mnts ago i was involved in a hit and run accident which left me seriously injured and left for dead as a reult of this i lost 3 of my front teeth smashed out and as ive had a few back missing teeth for a while after losing my front ones i cant eat proply let alone smile at any one i feel its hard to go in public anymore as its hard to speak or look anyone in the face.i would really apreciate some help as im on newstart now as i cant work from the injuries i could make payments but no one seems to have any sort of payment plans can someone plz help me? my email is slymon2007@hotmail.com.au

I am a single dad with 2 kids ages 8 and 11. I have recently been divorced and have custody of both kids wich is great. I have been laid off from work and have moved my kids and I into my parents house. My home has been forclosed on due to financial strains throughout the divorce proceedings. We are trying to get back on our feet. I have started taking the kids to church every week and we are very gratetfull for the people and the help we have met there, and I think it is great that the kids have taken to it as well. I am a very pridefull person and I don't like to ask for help, but I am also learning that at times we all need a little help from time to time. I have some things I need help to take care of so my kids and I can move forward with our lives. I have taken on about 1500 dollars in medical bills that my health insurance did not cover and I also have some utility bills that total up to 550 dollars. Not to mention 1500 dollars for an attorney.

I have to admit that it seems a bit ridiculous for me to ask for help here as I don,t believe I know anyone who reads this web site. I have prayed and prayed about what to do to get things caught up and I stumbled across this web page about some people in the same or similar situation as myself. I would greatly appreciate any help or advice that would be encouraging or helpfull.

Hello. My name is Adam and I just came across this page and have read some of the posts on here. I have to say for the longest time, I thought I was alone on this single dad endeavor. Most single dads know my struggle so I will begin by saying that I love my little boys more than I can explain. I started off as a young man with a girlfriend and went on eventually to have a child with this woman. Her and I later decided to get married, only to have another little boy. I was raised by nothing but women so having two boys was more of a blessing than you know. My marriage eventually crumbled and as a result, both of my nice cars were reposessed, my house went into foreclosure, and all of my other debt(personal loans, utilities, etc.) built up against me and damaged my credit so profoundly that I could not get a car or an apartment anywhere. Luckily, by the grace of God, I was able to get accepted into a low income apt. complex in an area where crime, violence, and drugs are way more existent than what I would care for my boys to be around. At this point, I had been a single dad for about 7 years and I was just turning 28 years old. Since that very profound turning point in my life I have tried to go to college and get whatever grant money from school that I could get so my boys and I could survive while recieving no help from their mother but, no matter what I recieved, it was never enough. I have tried to work but could not find a job that was condusive to my single parent lifestyle due to no childcare. I take being a father very seriously because I am raising the future men of this country. I am no more of a perfect father than any other man but my intentions for them are. I give credit to any man that would break from the stereotype that has plagued us for centuries because of other non-existent fathers like my own. I am currently searching for a way to clean my credit and clear my debt so that I can create a prosperous future for my little boys that they may become the future example for other men. My boys are my life and for my life I will give what it takes to see them smile and one day see them hold their head high for the father they have. I have recently fell on some hard times, in February of 2007 I fell and broke both of my knee's and had to have a double knee surgery. While re-habbing in a nursing home the job I had for 18 years went away the factory closed and my job went over seas. I have spent all the money I had put back including my retirement. I have no income while I am trying to re-hab myself because I no longer have insurance so it is very hard to return to the work force with 2 bad knee's! I'm at the end of my rope I have no clue where my are my daughters next meal may come from! I have made to much money in the past they tell me for any kind of assaintance from the State so I ask you what should I do or can you help us?

I'm a divorced man with the custody of my three kids. The wife left town with the boyfriend, I had just graduate trade school in Texas and came back to be with my kids. At which time the wife left, thinking no big deal I'll raise the kids. I had a in out of state the paid well at first, then I started having car problems. Lost the job, at the time the kids and me where living in a friends basement. He also had three kids,things got rough with the friend and the kids and where put out. I had some money in the bank and looked for an apartment, but the wife had a very large ultilites bills that had vto be paid before anybody would let us in. Now the money gone we where in a homeless shelter for two montyhs then a hotel room for four months and now in a apartment for the last five years. But now the school loan, car payment to rebuild my credit, and the cost to feed, clothes the kids when i can, is too much to handle. I NEED MONEY!!! to pay off my student loans and money for a down payment on a house, and money too start my own business so my kid fully understand that no matter how hard life gets if you work at it you will get it. So please help me get the funds to change my life totally around so my kids can believe in me again.

Im 25 years old and in desperate need of money for my 2 children.I have been looking for work but time is runnning out , if something doesnt happen soon I will lose my apartment and car. I dont know if anyone will read this but im at the end of my rope. it all started a year ago, i had a very good job as a salesman for a window company. the contruction came to a stop in our area of florida. so the company had a mass laoff and i was one of the unfortunate ones to loose my job. i ended up having to let my new truck go back and had to get a old beater so i could make it around. after no luck of finding work in tampa i decided to pack everything up and move to north carolina. i stayed with my sister and found a job 4 monthes after starting i ecieved a call from my mom in florida and was told that my son had been diagnosed with a blood platelet disorder so once again i packed up everything and moved back to florida so i could be with my son. in the midst of all this i got two tickets and without the money to pay them i had my liscence suspended well about a month ago i was driving back home from a part time job i found and got pulled over because of a blown brake light. i just knew i was going to jail but i actually got lucky for once and it was a very understanding officer. he still had to sight me  but i didnt have to take the trip to jail. just had my court hearing for driving on a suspended on tuesday where i plead guilty and the good judge gave me a 200 dollar court fine instead of jail. so now im struggleing i have one ticket paid and another 225 dollar ticket that needs paid to reinstate my lisence plus 200 court fine to stay out of jail as well as rent and all the utilitys plus all th doctor bills for my son that are piling up. and now after 2 years of seperation my wife has filed for divorce so now i have to figure out a way to get a lawyer so i dont loose parental rights of my son and belive she is using all my downfalls against me. ive never begged for anything in my life and everything ive ever had i worked very hard for. but now i need some help, anything would help so if you can find it in your heart to help i would be forever greatfull.
