I am in desperate need of some dental help. I have been to three different dentist in the past year, all of which say i need some major work done. One dentist quoted me as much as $20,000. I knew i had some problems but not to that extent. I was totally floored and brought to tears. My tooth on the top right has cracked and it just seems to be getting worse the longer i wait to find help. My jaw is in pain daily.

As a sophomore in college, we all know how difficult it is to try to pay for major dental work. Not to mention, finding an affordable dental plan that doesn't leave you having to pay a huge amount. The only other option i can think of is if there is a dentist in my area that would accept a low payment plan. Needless to say, that is hard to come by too.

I am currently working towards an AA degree and if all goes well i should graduate in the Spring of 2008. I find it difficult to smile and interact with people on a daily basis because of my teeth. Within the next few semesters, i have to take a speech class, where i will have to speak in front of the class and give a demonstration. I have been putting the class off because of my teeth.

I am really lost, i don't understand what has happened to my teeth. I brush and floss atleast three times a day. My teeth seemed ok up until about two years ago. I was  diagnosed with arrhythmia. I haven't had a single drop of caffeine since. Since that diagnoses my heart  palpitations have improved but my teeth are wrecked. Any suggestions or advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

My name is Reynaldo and I live in Lugoff, South Carolina, where I've lived for almost two years.  Prior to this I lived in Florida all my life -- my childhood years in Riviera Beach, and my adulthood in Lake Worth, both in Palm Beach County.  I am 43, single, never married, and live alone with my small dog in my apartment.  I'm about 250 pounds, 5 foot 6 1/2 inches.

My interests include forensics, medicine, criminal justice, and legal issues; movies, television, music, and being on the computer.  I have a home theater system with 7.1 surroundsound speakers.  The apartment I live in is a basic, modest apartment in which I live under a federal program known as the Housing Choice Voucher Program, formerly known as Section 8.  I am on SSI and SSDI, Medicare and Medicaid, literally living from paycheck to paycheck.  I also am into photography, aviation, and cooking/eating.

I am a 58 year old, male and am in need of help to obtain a medical treatment that my basic insurance won't pay for as it is an Alternative Therapy Cancer Treatment, the three week treatment will cost me 12,000 Dollars, and will be administered by a clinic, New Hope Cancer Treatment Center located in Scottsdale AZ. Jonathan and I have been married for 14 years. We have been through some very hard times, but we have always stuck together as a family.Last year was the worst of all. There literally was no Santa Clause at all! I am ashamed of that. My husband just recently found out that he has hepatitis-c. His mother died of the same thing 6 years ago. The doctor seems to think that is where he contracted the illness, taking care or her. My oldest is Miranda. She is 14 years old. She broke her ankle back in September and had to have surgery on it, and was out of school for 8 weeks. I have always been at home with my children, and my husband worked. Now he is at home! We live with my mother, because she needs looking after now. Her health has really went down hill in the past 5 years. My son is 13 years old and the baby is 4 years old. I don't care if any of us adults get a thing for Christmas, BUT please help me see that Miranda, Tyler, and Vada get a nice one! We all would greatly appreciate any help we receive.  I am a 31 year old single mom with bi-polar disorder and ADHD , for which I now take medication that is helping me tremendously!  I am also  a freshman at college. My problem is that I can't find a job due to a (non-violent) felony on my record, that had nothing to do with drugs, theft, or killing someone. I have been trying since Jan. of this year. I am still on probation so I can't get my record expunged or pardoned right now. I am in dire financial need! I have a pell grant and a stafford loan that covers my tuition for school. I am currently enrolled in historically black college.Unfortunately when I transferred there my Life Scholarship didn't follow me.Last semester I had to take out loans because I didn't receive enough Pell Grant to cover it.  I work part time at a restaurant and my mom just started getting diability about 2 months ago and she hasn't worked in about a year and a half now.

I am brand new to AidPage, but I will try my best to express my needs: here we go!

My name is Reynaldo and I have Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism.  I created a nonprofit organization, www.aspergeradvocacy.org, to advocate for those with my disorder, especially adults for whom at the time they were children no help or information was available about this disorder.  In addition to having Asperger's syndrome I have spinal stenosis, thus, limited mobility, whereby I use a power chair.  I live alone with my dog Ginger.

Recently, after many years of fighting for my Social Security benefits, I have finally received them.  The first objective that I met was to get permanent housing.  Now I live in an apartment under a section 8 housing choice voucher.  After living in Florida for over 35 years, specifically Palm Beach County, I am now living in Kershaw County, South Carolina.  I moved here because this is where they issued a voucher for me much quicker than any other housing authority to which I applied for a voucher.  This was a move I do not regret!

Instead of going on a waiting list in Florida, which would have taken many years for my name to come up, I was issued a voucher instantly in South Carolina.  Of course I had to move over here in order to use that voucher, somethign I didn't mind.  My plans are to stay in South Carolina, or anywhere where it is not too warm and not too cold.

Because of my disorder, characterized by behaviors often misunderstood and the result of adverse stimuli, I had been the target of bullying by several of my neighbors here, who themselves have disabilities ranging from bipolar disorder to mental deterioration because of age. 

I did not know what to expect when I initially moved here to South Carolina.  While it is considered the sixth most dangerous states in the United States (FBI, 2006), most of the longtime residents here have raised families for many generations, and in essence are quite comfortable.  About 70% of the population here are chubby and very content with their Southern cooking and hospitality.  I have gotten to know many people here and am glad that I made the move as though I didn't really have any other choice.

The area in which I live is rural.  There's only one bus that comes through here, and it only comes twice a week, very early in the morning, and once in the evening during those days.  Because of my disability and situation, I have to depend upon a paratransit vehicle, which can be expensive as they charge more money based on the fact that I'm a wheelchair user.  I had been volunteering in a social service agency that provides energy and rental assistance to those in need.  But because of lack of transportation and more medical issues (now I'm diabetic as of December, 2007), I had to quit my volunteer position.

I believe that by having a decent vehicle I can be able to reach out to people farther to be able to assist them in their special-needs.  I therefore am wishing for a vehicle: either a minivan or a large vehicle with a power chair/scooter ramp to accomplish this.

First and foremost I am very embarrassed about posting this on site but i am very desperate and this is actually my last resort. To begin with I am 28 yrs old I just got married to a lovely man on August 3rd he's 25 so were actually just starting out. What's ironic is that our birthdays are on the same day, we married out of love and love alone. Getting to the point about things because i don't want to bore you with a love story, my husband lost his job in November he spend every single day looking for aother one to provide for us while i attend school, he did succeed in finding a job as a corrections officer but had to go through exstensive tests and background checks after successfully completing all of that we are waiting to receive a call back for his start date. In the mean time the bills have fallen behind and we have received an eviction notice,(meaning if we can't pay the rent in about 20 more days we'll have to find somewhere else to stay) The rend is $680 but we have no more money hopefully  this job will come open soon. I have been preying. On top of that my husband had given me a pet palmeranian on our birthday's, I named him Teddy. I did not know that Teddy was sick at the time until about 3 weeks later it seemed as if he had a cold I didn't think anything of it because i thought it would just go away but it has gotten worse. Now he's coughing up cold and going into convulsions, i have no funds to carry him to the vet or to the emergency hospital and they do not have payment plans, so i have no option what so ever to  get him any help but this website. And I'm scared for him because i'm afraid he may die! I can not have any kids and we have adopted teddy as part of the family. If we do not get help soon Hopefully someone will have a kind heart to donate, anything, even $1 will help us along the way. My husband does not know that I am doing this because he would not approve, he has too much pride (ladies we know how men are) but we are in need of your help, i think he will understand that we can get through this with a little help. If i can work for a donation i will be glad to I can type 75wpm so if you need help typing something up or want a resume done please let me know i will be happy to assist in anyway i can.

I'm writing in hopes,Someone might see this and reply back to me. I don't like the idea of something for nothing,I'm very willing to pay it all back!As a loan,Though,I would only be able to make very small payments. I have always,since I was a very small child had an extreme fear of needles,which has made me overly scared of doctors and dentists.And because of this fear,My teeth have been neglected.I have alot of pain! Recently I was in the emergency room for a sinus infection that would not go away,It had went on for over a month and was not getting any better. The doctor on duty said the infection was from my upper teeth being bad,and that the infection had traveled up into my sinus cavity which is very dangerous because it can continue traveling up into the brain.Which can kill you!I also have a partial that is my top front teeth,this is how my teeth problems all started,The partial has steel wires that wrap around your teeth and eventually those wires ware down your good teeth and cause major problems later.I don't have any back teeth,Upper or lower.they are essential for chewing. and it's very painful and sometimes very humiliating when I'm trying to eat and my partial will not stay in during meals. My health is failing and I'm scared,that one day very soon I won't be able to eat at all! My face has become very thin due to my bad and missing teeth.I'm a small woman anyway,And I'm in my middle forties and sometimes I'm afraid to eat for fear of anymore pain. I've already lost too much weight and do not look as healthy as I would like to look. I also in fear of losing what confidence that I still have left.But mostly,I'm in fear of losing my health!Not having insurance is a death sentence,Because no hospitals and no doctor offices can help you! Even emergency rooms can't help until your on the verge of death,Which by then,it could be too late. They sent me home with antibiotics and said they can't help me,That I would have to find a dentist very soon!I have prayed about this and I will continue to,In the hope's God will send me an Angel to help me to resolve these problems that I'm having. "God Bless Our World " And everyone on it! Especially those who are suffering with tremendous pains and fears.

My boy is 10 and my girl is 8 - both very good and well mannered kids who make very good grades.  Their father doesn't help me or see them and I work my tail off 40+ hours a week, but unfortunately, my income is not even enough to cover household bills much less clothes and toys for Christmas.  I can not begin to tell you how desparately I need any help anyone can give me to help provide what will probably be the last year my boy believes in Santa. I am a homemaker in Lancaster, SC.  I can' get a grant or loan anywhere thanks to previous credit history and hard times in the past and I really need to go to college.  Why do I say need to go??  Well I have worked dead end jobs all my life, and I had to quit in 2003 due to illness, and when I applied for disability they denied me.  Well 4 years later, after pysical therapy and many doctors visits that depleated our account and lives, we are stuck.  My husband has a job he hates and refuses to leave because we need some kind of money coming in and we cant live without it.  I need to go back to college because I want to get a degree in business so I wont have to worry about working a dead end job and having to keep hearing, "we hired someone eles, since you havent worked in 4 years!".   PLEASE HELP.  Advice, anything is welcome.  Thank you.

My husband has a student loan out. We can't pay it. We have 4 children (one is out of the house).  He has a masters degree, a cpa, but no matter what I cut we never have 365 dollars a month to pay it back. I buy clothes at goodwill, food at angel food ministries, no extras ever! Help.  I am so sad because I see others enjoying their life and we never get to, we just keep deferring our loan. What started out with a loan of mid 40's now its almost 60 thousand! HELP!!!!!!!! We are in our forties, he graduated in 1998,  we thought his salary would be so good when he graduated with a masters degree, and it would be easier to pay back. I have a 1996 van that breaks down every couple of months, and he has a 1995 for escort that is better than mine but old.

We haven't been on a vacation since 1992. I use the same makeup for years, we have no health care because it cost us almost 600/ month and we had to give it up. My teeth are hurting.  Is there a grant for people who can't pay back their loan, even a parcial loan could help!

Any wealthy individual who feels it in their heart to help...Please do. We are giving people, and I often wonder why we aren't blessed with money. We volunteer, help others less fortunate than us, have great work ethics, love and take care of our children.

I am probably wrong for doing this, but I am desperate, honestly.

I don't know what to do anymore. I have a 5 year old, I'm a single mother, living with my dad, &I make 300 a week at a gov't job and have 1400 in bills monthly with car, insurance, daycare, student loans, and phone. If I cant pay daycare then i cant work and they're already close to telling me she cant come anymore b/c of the debt im in with them. I need 9 hours to graduate college, but there's no way I can go, I have to work as much as I can just in order to pay some of my bills. I've hit rock bottom. I want to be able to give my daughter everything she deserves, I want the best for her, she's been a real trooper (have you seen Pursuit of Happyness/Will Smith? yes, thats about where I am) but I cant even really give her the attention she deserves b/c I'm so depressed that 5 out of 7 days I cry when I get home and I don't want to break her spirit just b/c mine is broken. Im completely swallowing my pride by doing this but I HAVE to get back on my feet again, I want to have my own place to raise my daughter and be able to know that when the end of the month comes I will be comfortable because my bills are paid. I am currently looking for new employment and my goal is to finish my forensic psychology degree. One short year ago I never would have imagined I would be here asking strangers for help until the day my husband, 42, suffered a brain aneurysm while riding a motorcycle which caused an accident.  He broke every bone in the right side of his body, including fracturing his skull and breaking his neck.  His aneurysm was on the left side of his brain and he was not expected to live.  At the time I was two months pregnant (with twins!) and we were set to open a restaurant in two days, my husband's lifelong dream.

Since that day, my husband spent 7 months in the hospital, 4 in ICU.  I was told he would never live, never come out of his coma, never talk again, never walk... etc.  He is home with us now but has very little memory of his life before the accident and no short term memory.  He can only remember the last 15 minutes or so.  When he first came home from the hospital he was unable to get out of bed by himself, speak full sentences, do any personal grooming on his own, nothing.  Now he is walking (with a cane), feeds himself, talks regularly, etc.

We have two girls, 11 and 10 and through months of sleeping on waiting room couches and living in the hospital with my husband I was blessed enough to have a full term pregnancy and deliver two healthy babies, a boy and a girl.  I was lucky that my 80 year old mother was able to come for a few months and stay with our older children so I could concentrate on my husband's recovery.  I've tried to display strength so my children would be able to feel secure and hopefull during such a truly scary time.  I also have two step sons, one of whom just returned from being deployed in Iraq.

While my husband was in the hospital, we lost the restaurant and our home was forclosed on.  I was forced to move the week prior to delivering the twins.  I have since had to move again to better afford rent.  All of our savings were being used to open the restaurant, we have been left with nothing. 

Medical bills, doctor bills, babies, no savings.  It's all completely overwhelming.  My husband can not be left alone for 5 minutes, he has broken his hip once since being home, and that resulted in 3 months in a wheel chair.  Physically it is draining taking care of him and two newborns.  I haven't had more than 3 hours sleep a night in the past year. 

This past year has been a huge strain on our family but we have pulled together and have made it this far by the grace of God.  I now ask for grace from complete strangers to help my family out financially in any way possible.  I do not have enough money to pay rent, utilities, buy clothes, buy diapers for the babies or my husband (who is incontinent) and essentially take care of my family.  Any help at all would be most appreciated.
