Scholarships are FREE

Most people going to college get one scholarship and then apply for a student loan to cover the rest of their educational expensis.   This is OK, but student loans have to be paid back.  They cannot be forgiven even with Bankruptcy.  The only way out of a student loan is by dying or becoming so disabled that you can not work.

But there is no need to get a student loan.  You can get as many scholarships as you want to pay for your schooling.  There is no limit on how many you can have.  And you can get grants to pay for all the rest.  All it takes is a little effort on your part to hunt down and apply for these scholarships and grants.

I am in need of financial assistance for my college tuition. I am currently enrolled in ITT Technical Institute. My Bachelors of Science is Information Systems Security. My annual tuition is $15,000. Annualy I am approximately $3,662 short.

I recently graduated after five years of college at a state university.  In order to attend school, I had to apply for student loans.  Now that I have graduated, I am facing the upcoming date at which I must begin to pay back those loans.  With today's economy, it is very dificult to find a job.  I am seeking help to pay off my loans so that once I do find a career, I will be able to save towards my future without worrying about my student loans.

I am in a bad situation, I am underemployed with two jobs, I only make enough to pay rent, utilities and gas for my old car that's always got something wrong with it.  I'm in constant fear that my car won't make it to its next destination.  I don't have any family to help me, I don't know what to do.  I don't spend money on frills like dining out, clothes medical prescription or doctors visits because I can't afford to.  I need help paying student loans.  They are threatening wage garnishment and I won't be able to afford to pay rent and I don't want to be homeless.  I don't know what to do.  I need help paying my student loans.

I am a 29 years-old single mom of a 4 year old little boy.  I have a degree in Communications which have not yielded any returns since my graduation in 2000.  I go to church 3 times per week and cater on the side to try and make ends meet.  I am basically living from paycheck to paycheck and don't have enough to pay my student loans.  One loan is in deferment and the other in litigation.  I pray that I can find a way to pay the loans so I can be free of all the stress and sorrow that is associated with it.

I am 41 yo single female.  I live paycheck to paycheck and am drowning in debt.  Over the last 3 years I have been plagued with numerous Medical Bills.  Those along with @9K student loans and another $12K in credit card bills make it very difficult to ever catch up yet get ahead.  I work full-time and I am a good person.  As soon as possible I will give back.  I do believe in living by the Golden Rule.

MY SON HAS ABOUT  $30,000 IN STUDENT LOANS. HE HAS COMPLETED HIS EDUCATION AND TAUGHT IN SWITZERLAND FOR SEVERAL YEARS WITH THE LOANS BEING DEFERRED FOR A WHILE. HE IS  NOW TEACHING FULL TIME AT A STATE UNIVERSITY.

HOW CAN HE GET SOME RELIEF FROM HIS LOANS....HE DOESN'T  MAKE A LOT OF MONEY.

   I owe $98,000.00 in student loans.  I think I have paid more in interest than what I originally took out to get an education. I really need help in paying back my student loans.  If anyone can help me, that would be great.

I ENROLLED INTO A A TRADE SCHOOL THINKING I WAS GOING TO BE GETTING THE GRANT FROM THE STATE. AND WAS TOLD THAT I NOW NEED TO COME UP WITH 7100 TO START MY EXTERNSHIP AND SO THAT I WILL BE ABLE TO BE FINGERPRINTED ADN LICENSED BY THE STATE FOR PHARMACY TECH. I HAVE HORRIBLE CREDIT AND OTHER STUDENT LAON ON CURRENT IN SCHOOL DEFERMENT. THUS UNABLE TO FIND SOMEONE TO FINANCE ME. AND AS FOR CO-SIGNERS AND THE ONLY ONES THAT I HAVE FOR THAT ARE MY PARENTS AND THEY ARE CURRENTLY GOING THROUGH BANKRUPTCY. I am looking thru some information about free grant money that is out there.  It seems to me that every website i go too seems to want money for something.  I have a credit cards i need to pay, as well as my student loans, hospitals bills as well.  I need help or would like to recieve info on how to get this free grant money that is out there. and with out paying out .

I am a SAHM of 10, six here full time, three more every other weekend, and one that has passed over to the other side. We are working towards improving our lives and finances.  I fully intend to get a driver's license for the first time in my life, just as soon as I possibly can.  Right now my husband and I are due to start online college courses on the 27th of this month.  This leaves us excited, terrified, anxious, elated, and a host of other emotions as we try to figure out how to move forward with this endeavor.

Student Loans is what my small family is living on at this time.   The loans do not amount to much more than what a welfare cheque would be monthly - which I find mindblowing.   It is absolutley insane that thinking about how to get healthy food into the house on a regular basis is taking precedence over my studies.   I'm a "B" student and I know I could do a lot better if our basic needs were being met.    I do my level best to stay calm and try to remember it's just a temporary situation.   I've  pared down to the bone such as no cable tv, basic landline phone, hydro just under 60.00 per month, no credit cards, and no overdraft.   I don't smoke and although I'd love to go out once-in-a-while to mingle with other adults it's impossible as babysitters don't work for free.   I've sold my transportation and the only ring I had that was worth a few hundred dollars some time ago.   I've attended the food banks (which have postings that clearly say, "use at your own risk") and have salvaged what I could from the hampers that they provided.   Regrettably, their hours of operation are during my class time making it impossible for me to go.   If any of what I have written resonates with you please contact me for further discussion. 

I have about 60,000 in student loans! I have my nursing degree, but can't seem to keep up with my payments! I am a young father and didn't know if there were any aid or grants available to pay off my loans and give my family and I a fresh start!

I really need help paying back my student loans.  I am currently a stay at home mom with one daughter and one on the way.  My husband works full time but through a consulting agency, therefore no benefits (can't afford to purchase family insurance), no sick days, no vacation days, etc.  We might be able scrape by with our monthly bills and debts if it weren't for our student loans that need repayed.  My husband's truck died a couple of weeks ago, we found another we bought, but now it is not running.  It's the extra unexpected expenses (& loans) we can't cover.  Any way I can get help? My husband and I just after finding out that we are pregnant with our first (his second) baby both ended up losing our jobs.  Right now we are trying to sell off all of our stuff to avoiding losing our house, or to make enough to fix up our house to sell.  I have nursing student loans and have been having trouble finding work due to being pregnant.  I am working as a temp nurse but that only amounts to a few days every couple of weeks.  My husband has found work but is not making enough to support all of us.  We are due on Halloween and were really hoping that by some miracle, we would have some of our debt taken care of and actually have some money in savings.  We hate to bring a child into a mess that we really had no control over.  I am afraid that my husband is going to make himself very sick with all of the stress between money and baby and anything else that comes up.  If anyone can please help.  We can't understand how people that destroy themselves can be making so much money and wasting so much money.  We are good people.  We don't drink, smoke or use drugs.  We always play by the rules and feel as though we are being punished for it somehow.  There are so many people out there with more than enough that are behaving illegally.  It's very discouraging.  I thank you for reading and caring. 

Funny. Not funny ha ah—funny in that way you start to bump up against hysteria because it’s all too heavy and unreal and for every step you take forward you’re kicked three steps back. And you don’t even have tears anymore and so you laugh like some demented clown. And every time you say it can’t get any worse the fates align themselves to prove you wrong.

Back when graphic design was booming, I entered into 2 two-year programs and received both a graphic design certificate and a desktop publishing . I was making great money and not too worried about using the charge cards because I was able to pay everything off just fine. Then the recession hit. I was laid off. Couldn’t find work. Watched the credit card debt double and triple because when you can’t pay they screw you into the ground. And so I was drowning. Drowning under too much debt.

I decided the best thing to do would be to go back to school. Get my degree. As this point I was dealing with depression and diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I didn't do too well in school. I have a psychotic amount of college debt to pay back. The fates coming out to show me how bad it can get. And It's too sick a joke. Like some surrealistic landscape I'm trapped in but this can't be real, right. My government subsidized loan payment is $257. My unsubsidized payment is $335. I have a private loan through Sallie mae they want a payment of$456.64. (It is a 30,000 dollar loan I took out over the four years, to pay for books and housing.) On their payment plan I'll be paying back $94,000. I have had to move back in with my parents. I’m way to old to be here. And when I do find I job, I’ll be on a hamster wheel, working just to back back that debt. My loans total: $1057.64. I could live in a loft for that. I still owe my school some money. They have turned it over to collections. The guy that bought my debt keeps calling even though I told him I have no money. HE wants to work something out. What could we possibly work out. I've stopped answering his calls. I'm just tired. And starting to forget point and purpose. Lately, I'm too depressed to even write but hoping that I can sell a screenplay once this strike is over. Or maybe I'll finish one of the novels I'm working on. Or maybe I’ll click my heels together three times, close my eyes and chant, “there’s no place like home,” because this can’t be the real world.

This is me and i'm real; online needing help. My mother and I were living together. I stayed with her after the death of my step father Bob in 2001. I worked and paid all the bills ; food, pet food, litter, cable, pg&e, highspeed  internet,except for the rent she paid with her S.S.I. I got paid every week and was broke we lived from my paycheck to paycheck . After about 7yrs my mother got sick and was put in the hospital when poof! my two sisters come and take control of My mom. MY mother and sisters are Jehovah witnesses. They took control of her and made sure I was to be evicted from our house, because I chose to quit my job at Carrows restaurant and go to college to be an Cisco certified networking associate, one month prior to this. Now i'm broke and in transision to get a job at the college awaiting the financial aid desicion. My mom is o.k. and in rehab for a twisted spin injury. And I'm waiting for my finacial aid letter soon because in November we get checks. I need to pay the landload rent of $560.00 for this month and I'm late on pg&e by $100.00 dollars. If anybody can help me I will pay you when my financial aid comes and or, if I'm working before November. I am a 36 yr. old woman and a recovering addict looking for a way to go to college.  I am unemployed, I have no savings, no car, no type of insurance, I am starting my life over from scratch and I am trying to finally fulfill my dreams.  I live with my "significant other" who takes care of my basic needs but cannot afford to put me through school.  I am trying to find grants or scholarships that will cover my tuition.  I am interested in a Bachelors Degree in the arts of Psychology.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

4 years ago I lost my job, then my house and took a job making 8.50/hour.  Prior to this job loss, I made decent money, was generous to my friends and many charities in my community.  Never in a million years did I ever think I would be the one needing assistance.  3 years ago I decided to go back to school and study medical ultrasound.  

During this time, my bills fell behind, my credit suffered horribly and now that I have finished school and have once again gotten a good job I am still struggling to make ends meet because I am trying to get my all of my debts, that I incurred in four years, paid off.

I am a divorced man in treatment for lifelong depression and anxiety disorder. After trying to save my mom from bankruptcy and pay her hospital bills, I have accumulated student-loan debt and am behind on my mortgage and have ruined my credit. I work three jobs and am doing everything I can do to make up for lost time, but I am sinking spiritually and emotionally as well as financially.
