Hi.  I am a full time single mom and a mother of three.  My Oldest daughter is seeing her friends get iPods and MP3 Players, but I am just worried about putting clothes on their backs and food on the table.  I have an 11 year old daughter, an 8 year old daughter, and a 6 year old son.  I just found out about 3 weeks ago that at the age of 31 I have full blown Osteoporosis,  and a malignant tumor in my breast.  I am applying for disability, and medicare.  But, you know how that goes!  What, I may hear from them in 6 months to a year!  I need help this year on christmas.  Money is so tight this year I am having a hard time getting them anything!  If you could help or know someone that can, I would be so grateful!

1st of all i hope every one out there get the help they need and i wish i was still in position to help, but now I feel it's me time for me to ask. I moved my family 2 years ago for work, I built my house myself because it was the olny way we could manage to keep the mortage low and get into a decent school district for my three children. My wife did not handle the move well she has been in and out of a depressed state and has a very hard time adjusting. Before we made the move we were not rich but we were doing okay, since the move we have gone into a downward financial spiral. and in two years we have accumulated $45,000 in aditional debt. I work my fulltime salaried job for 70hrs a week and then on weekends I bartend. My wife coaches gymnastics, works partime at the school and takes care of the kids. The problem is that this debt is overwhelming us and it is tearing our family apart, i'm afraid this may be the end of a beutiful family. Coming up in 21 days I have to pay $2000 in property taxes. If any one can help i would be willing to help in return. I'm looking for $40,000 so we can get back on our feet and be the people that can help instead of being the ones asking. My name is Jamie Strickler.  I am a 32 year old non-traditional student.  The Lord has called me out of the corporate world to work with homeless men.  You can read some of the stories of my encounters at www.covenantministries.blogspot.com.  I am also a full time student with a wife and three children.  As you can imagine finances are always a concern.  Right now we are trying to come up with $2000 to pay for my summer tution and $1700 for a deposit and first months rent on a duplex.  Please help us so that we may continue the Lord's work in the homeless ministry here in Des Moines Iowa.
