and myself are just a few. We have taken the time to compile a TON of resources to help others.
We have all been in the same shoes at one time or another - some of us still are. By working together and helping eachother, we can make it through.
We will try to address your posts individually, if we can. However, due to the enormity of the site, the numerous requests, and the vast number of resources available - not to mention the scammers who post - it can be difficult at times. Please be patient. Please check previous posts and pre-existing pages for information.
We are not perfect, we make mistakes. We have bad days - just like you. We have bills to pay, familes to care for, illnesses to deal with, and other burdens just like you. BUT just like you, we have a desire to make our lives, and the lives of those we meet, better in some small way. We may send a prayer, a cyber hug, information, links, advice, or even maybe some construcive criticism, if necessary. We do what we do, because we need to, in our own way. If we are lucky, we get to see people move on because they have found the help they needed and do not need to be here anymore. The creators of AIDPAGE have given us, all of us, a great opportunity to reach out and help one another. Please, make the most of your time here: to share, to hope, to dream of a better life; then go out and make it happen!
Please tell me about broken links and ANY other errors on my pages! Thank you!
Im want some grant applications sent to me that do not cost anything to receive, i need the money for personal needs and home repairs it is needed asap.thankyou.

HOUSING
HUD/SECTION 8/Govt subsidized housing Section 8 housing usually has a long list because the subsidy is attached to the person, not the property. This means that regardless of where the person lives, they still get the subsidy. In NY the waiting list is 8-10 years. ****If at anytime, you are denied accessibility to applying for any program, you should contact your local city, county, or state leaders and have them intervene on your behalf. - THIS APPLIES TO ANYONE WHO IS DENIED ASSISTANCE.
HOWEVER, there is another alternative. Subsidized housing where the subsidy stays with the property rather than with the renter. You would still pay the same amount of rent - it is based on your income - but you would have to move into a government subsidized property.
In most cases, these are handicapped accessible, family oriented, all the maintenance is included - among other things.
I am including the link for HUD below - just click on the proper state and take it from there. You will need a minimal security deposit - which you can possibly get paid by social services or another charitable organization.
Regardless of how long the list is you should still be able to be put on the list. Contributed links:
HAC -HOUSING ASSISTANCE COUNCIL Does NOT help individuals, BUT does have a lot of information and links for individuals- please browse through the site for more information.
* Some of the listings we have do charge very little fee.
* Some places they ask you for small donation. We still list them Free Medical clinicss/Clinics as they are almost free.
There is one listing which ask for $20.00 per visit. We considered listing them, we made a note in the listing that they charge. As long as we see a motive towards helping people who are in need of medical help we consider them Free Clinics (We agree that we are going away from "Free") but we know their effort is worth lot more to lots of people.
* Some are for low income people, some are for homeless
* Some only serve the local community residents.
* Some Clinics are specific to HIV treatment etc. (We list them as well)
We provide personal financial guidance to members of the public who cannot afford a financial advisor, or who are facing an immediate or unusual financial need.

The EFSP National Board does not provide direct client assistance. Direct assistance is provided through a variety of resources, which may include EFSP funding in your community. If you are in search of assistance for yourself or someone you know, you should look in the community services section of your local telephone directory. You should find these pages in the front of your directory and should look for listings for American Red Cross, Catholic Charities or Catholic Social Services, The Salvation Army, United Way Information and Referral, or other non-profit service providers. You may also click on Funded Organizations, here or on the EFSP homepage, to find organizations funded through EFSP in your community who may be able to assist or refer you to the appropriate assistance.

Accomplished Phi Theta Kappa pre-law student graduated from an American Bar Association approved college at Inver Hills Community College and Metropolitan State University. I am proficient in all areas related to the practice of pre-law for supporting legal staff and attorneys.
I am trained in multiple areas of pre-law; Criminal, Domestic Relations, Probate, Business, Contract, Real Estate, Constitution, Juvenile, Litigation, Civil, Family, Conciliation, and Landowner & Tenant Rights.
I am looking for help in employment and college tuition in St. Paul, MN. I want to help others within the local and global communities in helping myself to find my way to law school.
I have two children in need of support by her father to find work. I appreciate any attorneys in the Twin Cities to contact me at wadding@usfamily.net. Please do not e-mail me ridiculous things, such as penis enhancement pills.
My civic duty is defending human rights, and curbing overzealous, law enforcement practices. My legal education and the internship with the Ramsey County Public Defenders Office provide the tools for upholding constitutional rights for the accused and their victims. I came to Metropolitan State University to expand my knowledge of conscientious thinking for needy individuals. I can make a difference by communicating their civic responsibilities through the continuing criminal, procedural laws and social education. People must learn to correlate their behavior patterns together as a responsible, unified community. My lifelong social and legal education goals will benefit society as well as me. I created my Legal Advocacy & Criminal Justice Degree, and I want to apply it towards the disadvantaged population. Many people are ignorant of the laws, and nobody is above the law. There is no excusable defense of ignorance when law enforcement intrudes on civil liberties without society intervening. Americans must practice their liberties without the government’s interference of exaggerated fears about security and policy. For example, the Patriot Act is dividing America by eroding the First, Fourth, and Fifth Amendment rights. The present political environment is remindful of the fascist qualities of J. Edgar Hoover’s administration in the 1950s, and Hitler’s in 1930s Germany. People must remember the US Constitution is a contract among the federal government reserving the power of its citizens to govern their elected representatives. The political divisions among Americans and their policies give the elected representatives the misperceived power over their voters. For example, educated people must take the civic accountability and initiative for teaching the younger generations of the misguided nature of American pop culture. Unresolved social problems reveal itself as a negative act of aggression looking for direction, and the national consensus wants misguided juveniles treated as adults and imprisoned. This “Idea of shame” existed during the Dark Ages with negative results. Thus, responsible people active in local politics must address America’s problems for solutions by organizing and educating the community. My participation in politics, law, and community development is my way of learning for completing my Individualized Bachelor Degree. For example, I like to share my experiences of the volunteer project, Save Our Streets. It is a creative, continuing, neighborhood initiative for reducing criminal nuisances in the residential, alleyway connected to Walfoort Liquor store. The project posted on the web page is the result of my educational experiences and vocational goals for helping the public. More information of this project is at http://aidpage.com with comments and information. I even took part in Campus Camp Wellstone to learn about political organizing and leadership skills. I am hoping to draw the attention of attorneys employing my search for leading a better community. In conclusion, I am working to improve my social position and the community I live in at Metropolitan State University. I am realizing the positive reinforcement from the faculty and administration offering me the chance for success. The Legal Advocacy & Criminal Justice Degree will provide me the skills for reaching my financial, educational, and self-realization goals. Thank you.

I have been away from Aidpage, but not completely out of the picture. What I have I been up to?
I had been making many attempts to still get the word out about what I am doing, but I had not been received well at a couple places:
Myspace kicked me off four times. The fourth time, I managed to keep the page running for a few months, and I logged in only to discover that I was removed once again. I am not sure what their reasoning was. It was a description of how I was helping others. I had helped many families through that page so it was very disappointing, and I lost track of people in line to receive help.
I posted a page on Squidoo.com. and that page, too was removed after receiving a lot of criticism from members there. I wasnt asking for money; only describing how I was helping others. Apparently I seemed a little too good to be true or people just didnt believe me.
I HAVE been accepted with open arms at WishUponAHero.com. I am very active there under the name 'The Empty Hanger' Here is how I have helped and currently help others. To date, I have granted over 20 wishes, and more that is not tallied on the site.
Sending cards for birthdays, encouragement, friendship, sympathy. That just costs a stamp!
Offering advice on situations
Sending books (via media mail)
Sending spiritual literature (I returned to church in January accepting Jesus into my life)
Sending small packages of clothes
Sending coupons
Sending school supplies
Sending my old eyeglass frames to woman who cannot afford new ones. (current)
Workiing on a HUGE giveaway starting May 1st for WUAH. (shipping covered by anonymous donor)
OTHER CHANGES
'The Empty Hanger' has been scaled back to a local operation. It was a difficult decision. Aside from what I do above, I still manage to provide packages of good usable clothing to persons in need. I find them at the local food pantry mostly, and word of mouth. Someone will email me at projectemptyhanger@mail2me.com, and we arrange a mutual public meeting place for the person's safety and mine. Its worked out pretty well, and I bypass shipping costs altogether. I do ask a lot of questions beforhand, because my genorisity has been taken advantage of on several occasions, and it is how I screen people. I find that those that are evasive are not being honest with me.
I am considering turning over 'The Empty Hanger' as an outreach project at my church.
ADVOCACY
Alzheimer's Awareness My dad passed away from the disease January 21st, 2008. He was diagnosed in 2003, and we watched this independant and strong man fight for a long time until we had to place him in a nursing home in 2006. It wiped us out financially and emotionally. I've currently been put into a position to help my mom who lost his pension (because she was not married to him when he retired). I use his likeness in many ways to help educate others about Alzheimer's. I am beginning an initiative for leglislation so that no other families should be forced into poverty for making the decision to place a totall dependant loved one into long-term care. You can view a video I made by visiting the following link: Alzheimer's Video
NEW! I also have changed my dad's tribute page to one of an Alzheimer's Awareness subject matter. It is called: Alzheimer's: Know More. I have also created tshirts and other merchandice to raise funds to donate to my local Alzheimer's association.
If your family is affected by this disease and need some advice or just to talk, please email me at projectemptyhanger@mail2me.com, and put 'Alzheimers' in the subject line.
Thanks
Elaine, for all your help and support to 'The Empty Hanger'

I'm having a rummage sale! (Updated May 12th)
Locally, my mobile home community is having a rummage sale at the beginning of June. I am hoping to raise enough money on my own so that I can use some of the proceeds to send out a few more packages. My family has been busily cleaning out the house and garage, and wow the treasures that we accumulate in a year.
If you live in the Northwest Indiana area, and are interested in learning more about my community's rummage sale, please don't hesistate to ask. I will be offering discounts to my local friends at Wish Upon A Hero, and I am offering the same here on Aidpages. For details, please ask.
Organizations are absolutely welcome to use Aidpage - to seek or to offer help (or both) - within the spirit of informal immediacy and "everything free" which are the hallmarks of Aidpage.
Organizations and businesses, we believe, will want to publish large amounts of useful data and free advice on Aidpage for at least six reasons - (1) as part of their own web presence and visibility strategy, (2) for a share of the advertising revenue generated on their Aidpages, (3) because it is easy technically and organizationally, (4) as part of their overall PR and marketing efforts, (5) because it is just a good thing to do, and (6) we won't charge you anything - remember, publishing on Aidpage is free.
I am in urgent need of serious dental work. Due to my pregnancies being so close together and the medications I was on my teeth have become in serious need of work. We cannot afford to get it done without my children having to suffer so I suffer day to day. I need 1 tooth pulled and several fixed. I cannot find a dentist any where around us that is willing to help or work with us on costs. I would be ever so grateful for any help. I would give anything to be able to truly smile in our next family photo or for my children to look at my smile and say how pretty mommy... anything. My oldest daughter is now in school and I want her to be proud of her mommy not embarrassed

I am 46 years old and struggeling with financial stability. I am hard working and determined to be out of the poverty level sometime in my lifetime. I have a 13 year old son who's needs get more expensive all the time. I currently have a home and 3 dogs and can't afford health care even. I fall through all the cracks for financial assistance but those programs don't allow you to produce your own income with help and get up and out. I don't want charity just a leg up. I have lived in the Kansas City area all my life and I love the diversity of the people right down to the weather. I have an associates degree which I didn't get untill I was early 30's. although it doesn't seem to carry much weight any more. I can't give up.

DISABLED CONTRACTOR FRAUD VICTIMS NEED HOME PLANS AND DESIGN HELP TO GET APPROVED HOME PLANS TO THE SKAGIT COUNTY PERMIT CENTER BY SEPTEMBER 1 2006 WE ARE BEING THREATENED WITH FINES AND POSSIBLE PROSECUTION, BUT HAVE GOTTEN ONE LAST EXTENSION UNTIL SEPTEMBER 1, 2006. WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN A NOTICE TO ABATE IF THE PLANS ARE NOT IN BY SEPTEMBER 1, 2006.
We were both victims of "worse case" contractor fraud. We need financial and/or construction help to get our home our home finished and safe. I got the home in the divorce decree, but the foundation of the home was literally caving in, since neither the ex or the property management had done any repairs to the home in many years.
We hired a general contractor from a referral from Service Magic, who happened to be a "con" tractor. After paying him more than the orginal bid, he completely demolished our home. He left us with no kitchen, bath or even running water and didn't ewven tell us he was leaving. He did not get any building permits and nothing was built up to code. Brad from Washington Labor & Industries. They took his contracting license away after seeing the damage he and his workers did to our home.
We have been living in the demolished home for over a year now. My husband has done as much as he can to make this a liveable home, but we don't have any money to do anymore repairs and are still living in a home with no heat in the main living area, no kitchen and an unfinished bath. The roof still leaks, we don't have any kitchen cabinets, floor coverings and entire upper front of the home was left open to the elements, only covered by a tarp.
We lived in a tent inside our home last winter. This winter we are freezing with temperatures in the teens.
Nothing in our home is finished or built up to code. We are getting desperate for financial and home design and permit help in Skagit county Washington. We have been given a 30 day notice to ABATE, but we able to get one last extension until September 1, 2006. The permit center is threatening fines and possible prosecution if we don;t have approved plans in by September 1.
My husband and I are are both disabled and were victims of "worse case" contractor fraud. The dishonest "con" tractor left us without any running water, no kitchen and no finished bathroom after paying him more than the original bid. According to a home inspector, he left the home in a "state of demolition."
Can anyone in the design/building industry please help us. We are in desperate need of help.

Hello everyone,
I never knew about this wonderful site existing. Very soon I will post what I'm having a problem with and pray that I get some type of information that will be very helpful for me. For starters I will say it's in reference to my teeth. I received a root canal years ago and it actually destroyed 2 of my teeth which have enabled me to smile as much as I want. Basically I really don't have the money to get 2 permanent teeth at this time because that's cosmetic surgery. If someone knows any information that will be successful in me getting that perfect smile back again I will greatly appreciate. God Bless.

everyday life. I am sorry that it has to come down to asking for help.
But I need it. I have a low paying job and need asitance in getting
900.00 to pay off my licence so that i can get to work and take my kids
to school. My son has to because he has hearing problems and they help
him there wsith that. If anyone knows a way for me to get help please
let me know. Thank you.
The past month has hit my husband and I reaaly hard. It seems that everything is going wrong and I don't know why. First, my dog got sick and needed $450 of emergency care to save her life (first week of January). Shortly thereafter, my husband lost his job. I am a student trying to finish my degree to become a teacher. While I do carry a part time job, I do not make enough to support the two of us. Quiting school would mean giving up my dreams and I have worked so hard to achieve them. But last week, we were in a car accident that totaled our only car. Because we only could afford liability, the insurance is not going to cover our loss. We are now stuck with a $8000 debt and no car. Please, I don't know what to do. Someone please help us.

My name is Kelly and I am 31 years old. I live with my husband Kenny and our two little girls, ages 3 and 7 years old. I have lived in Fairbanks for the past 6 years. I worked full-time as a pharmacy technician until adequate daycare for our youngest daughter became unavailable. That is what prompted me to search other avenues of interest in business. I have provided in-home short-term and long-term daycare now for over a dozen different children since February of 2005. Ultimately, I love to teach arts and crafts. I have found that all children are unique, open-minded sponges when it comes to learning and I really enjoy helping them to express themselves through arts and crafts!
