We are a low income family looking for assistane to help us make it! Ok let me get a little bit more into detail on how we need help. My husband is a Iraqi veteran he is 27 yrs old and is now disabled he was injured in iraq, and when he came home was discharged from the military. I am unable to work out of the home due to this and our 3 children. We live in government housing and would really like to have our own home. please any info possible would be great!

I am an older woman ,married and live in central Florida.

I've had to learn new ways this past year to bring income in.I pray alot and God moves.That's all I know.I've had some of the most difficult situations and have had to  prioritize my life,be honest with my choices and count on God to do the parts I could not do.

Some of the changes are to have just a home phone.No cell bill. The income did not support that.We almost lost our house.It was awful.

I started keeping my eyes open for things to sell on craigslist and ebay.Both brought in money,though not large amounts.

Then I realized I could rent a couple of rooms out.I'd been using them for an office and storage.I made changes which were not comfy at first but when the renters came,I felt better.Here's a little more on that ~

Consider renting out a room in your home if you need money.Remember to be the home that good people would enjoy living in.Clean,with pleasant atmosphere. It can help you with the elec.bill or even extra gas money.

Advertise on craigslist.com free ,add a pic of the room if you can.

I did this and got a wonderful renter ! We enjoy the  extra $ right now,husband's job has dwindled down in hours to a standstill..we really needed to make the choice to rent out a room,an idea the Lord gave me.

Be careful,let the person know in the ad if you need a non smoker,light or no drinking and be sure to let them know in the ad that you require a picture I.D. which you also send to your local police in case there's a problem you need to know about BEFORE they move in.

A google search on their name can reveal important info too.

We made some mistakes in trusting who we thought were friends. To make a long story short we had to refinance to survive and then we were hung out to dry by our so called friends. We have been in foreclouser and now we have a date in court as the eviction notice states. My wife also has MS and we are just barely getting by. We have tried to find legal help but when they find out out status we are told to call back later when we are better off. I am not sure just how we are going to continue. We have been trying to move but with low funds can not afford to move or locate another place to live.

I was a weapon Sergeant with 7th group until last year when I pulled out of combat due to a cheating wife who is involved with drugs and alcohol. In April of 07 I came home from Afghanistan because of my soon to be ex wife and her problems with the above mentioned. She was the sole care provider of our 2 small children. One 3 year old boy and One 7 year old girl. When I came home the courts let her keep the kids because at that point it was my word against hers and their wasn't any proof... Until the day of the overdose on cocain and sleeping pills. Not to mention the attempted suicide. I put in for an emergency custody order and have had my kids ever since. The only issue is that I live in an unfinished basement at my aunts house. I work tird shift and have to rely on my Aunt to watch the kids when I go to work all night. When I come home I have to take care of my kids. No time for sleep. My soon to be ex has us in so much debt that I cant get my kids and on back on our feet. I need a fresh start for my kids sake. We are $47k indebt with bill collectors calling everyday. My daughter was not adjusting to her new living arrangments and I was forced to send her to her grandmothers due to her doing bad in school and at the house. I don't know where else to turn and really hope someone out there can help me. I just want a new beginning for my kids. It crushes me everyday to hear them say they want their mommy and shes not there for them. I do not receive any type of child support and she never helps with them. Please help...

I am a 46 year old father of 2 and husband. I've found myself in a position that has left me unable to pay for my current needs. My wife is a cancer survior and I am a diabetic. She has been unable to work due to her condition and I am now the sole provider for the family. I am gainfully employed and have been able to manage things through the grace of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ until now. recently my wages have been garnished by the Virginia department of taxation for a unpaid taxes dating back to 1999. In that year I lost my job and had to cash out a 401k. I did realize the state did not get there due and they came back on me with a vengence. On 3/21/08 they took my entire bi-weekly earnings and have continued to levy my wasges to date, I have recieved approximately $830. Needless to say this has caused a tremendous burden on my family and I. God has provided our needs and I sure will contine. I would count any assistance as a blessing from him and would consider the person(s) donating it a blessing from him. This has also taught that I need to give of myself as much or whatever I can whenever I can.
