DISABLED CONTRACTOR FRAUD VICTIMS NEED HOME PLANS AND DESIGN HELP TO GET APPROVED HOME PLANS TO THE SKAGIT COUNTY PERMIT CENTER BY SEPTEMBER 1 2006 WE ARE BEING THREATENED WITH FINES AND POSSIBLE PROSECUTION,  BUT HAVE GOTTEN ONE LAST EXTENSION UNTIL SEPTEMBER 1, 2006. WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN A NOTICE TO ABATE IF THE PLANS ARE NOT IN BY SEPTEMBER 1, 2006.

We were both victims of "worse case" contractor fraud. We need financial and/or construction help to get our home our home finished and safe. I got the home in the divorce decree, but the foundation of the home was literally caving in, since neither the ex or the property management had done any repairs to the home in many years.

We hired a general contractor from a referral from Service Magic, who happened to be a "con" tractor. After paying him more than the orginal bid, he completely demolished our home. He left us with no kitchen, bath or even running water and didn't ewven tell us he was leaving. He did not get any building permits and nothing was built up to code. Brad from Washington Labor & Industries. They took his contracting license away after seeing the damage he and his workers did to our home.

We have been living in the demolished home for over a year now. My husband has done as much as he can to make this a liveable home, but we don't have any money to do anymore repairs and are still living in a home with no heat in the main living area, no kitchen and an unfinished bath. The roof still leaks, we don't have any kitchen cabinets, floor coverings and entire upper front of the home was left open to the elements, only covered by a tarp.

We lived in a tent inside our home last winter. This winter we are freezing with temperatures in the teens.

Nothing in our home is finished or built up to code. We are getting desperate for financial and home design and permit help in Skagit county Washington. We have been given a 30 day notice to ABATE, but we able to get one last extension until September 1, 2006. The permit center is threatening fines and possible prosecution if we don;t have approved plans in by September 1.

My husband and I are are both disabled and were victims of "worse case" contractor fraud. The dishonest "con" tractor left us without any running water, no kitchen and no finished bathroom after paying him more than the original bid. According to a home inspector, he left the home in a "state of demolition."

Can anyone in the design/building industry please help us. We are in desperate need of help.

This nightmare has been going on for almost two years now. We are still trying to survive on one disability income until I have my social security hearing. We are losing hope and spiraling down into the depths of depression. Will this nightmare ever end?

Thanks

               ADVANCING HOPE

We are a group of individuals that include lawyers, counselors, real estate agents and small business advisors that includes people who have experience with prisoners and the DOC. We share a great concern for the prisoners that re-enter society, wanting them to acquire above average job skills and the will and desire to be self sufficient. We are creating an employment agency that caters to these post release prisoners by allowing them to develop their job skills in a positive environment.
One of Advancing Hope’s programs is a Custom Super Homes Shop that would manufacture a new home building product, contracting to build Custom Super Homes within the community, and train released inmates to be real estate agents for these homes. There is the potential for everyone involved to earn a Custom Super Home for themselves if they follow the guidelines of the program. We are also interested in setting up the Manufacturing Shop as an environment and recycling issue that needs to be addressed as well.
Advancing Hope is a Christian based business concept created out of a desire to help prisoners that are re-entering society including those with higher end job skills and work ethics to transition back into the community with the grace and dignity they deserve and have earned by serving their prison sentences.
With Advancing Hope's assistance reforming also means having the respect the individual deserves, giving them a second chance at a real future. We provide more than guidance, we help with job location and assist former prisoners to find the self respect that comes only with self-employment.
Among  our self-employment initiatives we provide opportunities for sales, construction, and  manufacturing of homes that are made out a revolutionary new material. We will guide and train in real estate investment opportunities, also anticipated along with a variety of internet based business opportunities will be a training center for tanning bed technician maintenance, salon growth and development.
To provide prospective employers assurance, former prisoners can chose to participate in a program of guidance and support designed to deepen maturity and maintain detachment.
Our goal is to enable former prisoners to have an opportunity to develop and maintain the job skills, respect and credibility it takes to succeed in life and thrive in the communities from which they came and where they are going to be integrated.
The Custom Super Homes Shop Program is an initial investment of a little over 3 million dollars. We are seeking financial support for this program of any kind. Donations are welcome! Please email us at advancinghope@yahoo.com if you can provide any assistance or support! The prisoners re-entering society deserve a admirable means to a solid future!
Thank you for your interest!

Stay at Home Mom
Oak Harbor, Washington, USA
Languages: English

My name is Rachel.  I am a stay at home Mom with 2 children.  My husband is in the United States Navy going on 7 1/2 years.  We do plan to retire from the military, but our plans change all the time.  My husband, Billy, has deployed overseas 3 times, not including the month in month out deployments he did on the USS Abraham Lincoln.  In 2001, he was sent overseas to Iraq on the USS Lincoln.  He was gone 11 months straight.  My only child, at the time, went the longest time away from his Daddy, a total of 1 year.  1 year total w/ the short cruises to test the ship and to pick up some airplanes.

I know this may sound confusing, but if any one wants me to clear anything up I would be happy to.  My life story above is the reason why my family needs financial help on our bills.  My husband makes, believe it or not, a total of $24,000 a year.  We not only have about $10,000 in credit card debt, we also have a automobile loan with a total of about $21,000.  We also have regular bills for our house we are renting. Our children want things, but cannot have them.  My son's birthday is coming in November.  We need to get gifts for that.  Plus Christmas, then my daughter's birthday in January.

I am pleading for some help with our bills.  I know you are probably thinking we should of not have put ourselves in this situation.  I agree, if we were spending the credit cards on crude.  They all are for gettting truck fixed, birthday from last year, christmas last year, and for other important stuff that we had to get.  We are not charging just to get stuff we do not absolutaly need.  We do not gamble our money away.  We are just a lower income family with a family member serving our country.  My husband always wanted to do this military career every since he was little.  No one is forcing him to stay or even made him sign up.  He is just doing his duty that he swore he would do.  In the meanwhile, while my children, husband and I are sacrificing our time together, our family is struggling to pay any of our bills.  I sometimes say this is not fair.  Military, firemen, policemen are not being provided enough to support their family.  They sacrifice their lives because they love and respect what they do.  Why is it we have to struggle on $24,000 a year.  Doctors and lawyers and many more get paid a lot to keep us safe, healthy, and alive.  Is that not what military, police, and firefighters do?  Why is there no charity set up for the military and their families?  I can name tons for police and firemen.  Heck they call my number all the time asking for a donation, or a "pledge".

Please help my family.  We need as much of help we can get.  Less stress for our family so we can focus on each other while we have it.  My husband will of course deploy again for the 4th time.  Thank you for taking your time to read.

CONTRACTOTR FRAUD VICTIMS BOTH DISABLED

DISABLED CONTRACTOR FRAUD VICTIMS  NEED HOME PLAN, PERMIT AND DESIGN AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. THE SKAGIT COUNTY PERMIT CENTER HAS SEND AN ORDER TO ABATE, BUT WE WERE ABLE TO GET ONE LAST BUILDING PERMIT EXTENSIONS. WE ARE BEING THREATENED WITH FINES AND POSSIBLE EVICTION NOW. NEED HELP ASAP!

I have tried to contact HUD, but I am told we are "over income" by their guidelines. My husband is a disabled veteran who will need to have major surgery very soon. I am also disabled from a medical treatment , but still pending a social security hearing and have no income at this time.

I think this whole ordeal began because we got married and that made us "over income" by HUD and other government standards. We can't make it much longer. Our credit cards are mounting rapidly just trying to keep this place, buy food and attempting to pay the bills.

My husband now (boyfriend then) hired a licensed and bonded contractor, since I was awarded this home from a divorce settlement and then found out the foundation was caving in and the fireplace was unusable. The licensed and bonded contractor was  Erick dba WLAM Construction and Roofing from Arlington, Wa.

We have heard that after Washington state Labor and Industries suspended his license in mid December 2004 after several members of L & I and a person from the Mount Vernon permit center came to our home to see the horrible condition the contractor us to live in.

The contractor left our home in a "demolition state" without a kitchen, bath or even running water. We are currnetly living in a tent in the main living area since the contractor took the wallheaters out. Erick H. Millholland lost his contractor license mid December 2004 and now has fled the state.

We can't get financing to do the desperately needed repairs to make our home safe and up to current codes, since the house is not finished and we don't have enough income. We are the victims of a horrendeous crime yet we can't get any help from anyone.

I believe we are all on this earth to help each other during both good times and the "not so good" times. The contractor did not get any building permits nor did he build anything up to current standards, most of the materials were used or substandard. The roof is not structurally sound and the electrical and plumbing, is not up to code and poses a risk to us as occupants. If we can't live here or get any help from someone, we will be homeless and disabled.

I feel that we are "falling between the cracks" of a system that is supposed to help people during their time of need. I am at the point almost giving up, since we cannot get help from any government agency. Is there anyone in our local building industry or housing agency who can help us?

Thanks

In 2002, a series of medical mistakes has left me disabled and battling pain everyday, nausia from meds and severe battles of depression. I've paid over 90k in medical copays. I've lost all of my retirement money, My SSI benefits  aren't enough to buy the kids anything, not enough to cover all these high utilities. Was in the middle of a remodel when this happened so I have a main bathroom that falls through to the crawl space...... And the fight goes on.  I can't drive my car 'cause it's a stick shift. I just got a foreclosure notice on my house. I'm in Chapter 13 bankruptsy right now tried to do it the nice way by paying everyone a little each month. And have been loosing weight at a pretty good pace because I can't afford enough groceries to feed more than the kids.

I'm not sure how much furthur down I can go.

And this Doctor is still making his fortune everyday, even though he has 11 complaints filed against him at the Dept. of Health. And several lawsuits going.

I'm still trying to find the justice here.

Success and Software Outsourcing

To get the success in the process of Software Outsourcing, right strategy with proper planning is one of the most important things. As we all know that more and more companies are now accepting this way of the business process especially in Information Technology industry. More and more IT companies are now dealing their business for one or more requirements. India, China, and Philippines are few of the countries which provide the services to most of the countries worldwide. Companies from these countries are providing IT services and problem solutions worldwide. For such an overseas process the most important thing is to adopt the right strategy and proper planning. The deals of the Software Outsourcing can only be successful if the proper strategy and proper planning are adopted.
As we all know that in Software Outsourcing process more and more companies are now showing interest. The ratio of the process has also gone up as many companies have started to work in this way and still many companies daily are adopting it. So chance of frauds in the market is also increasing. So it is better to take care while entering into the business process. The main thing behind the increased popularity of Offshore Software Development process is the lower cost advantage. In the countries like India, China, Philippines and many more developers are ready to work with the lowest possible cost and also provide the best quality services. So the countries like America, Australia and many more have turned into these companies to gain the cost advantages. The labor cost in these countries are really very high compared to the lower labor cost countries, so more and more Software Outsourcing is taking place from these countries. In present scenario companies are not just offering the code development process but along with that they are also offering almost all the facilities like, infrastructure, enough manpower as and when required, best quality services, timely and dedicated efforts and many more. All these services of Software Outsourcing have really remove the need of even physical presence for the company.

To make the proper Software Outsourcing another important issue is communication between two parties. The most common reason behind the failure of the deal is found to be the improper communication or communication gap between the clients and vendors. Apart from this some issues like proper market survey of the opposite partner, cultural issues, internal issues and many more are there which play an important role as a part of the right strategy of overall process of Software Outsourcing.

In short these are some of the hints and tips of the Software Outsourcing which are to be taken care off while dealing in Information Technology services. Graduate school funding

My name is Felicia Rock, a social worker and prospective grad student who resides in Snohomish County.  I have lived and worked here for over two years now, and have enjoyed much of what the county has to offer.

So why do I write?  After working at my job with f homeless families in transitional housing for close to a year, I felt it was time to get some more education to balance out my experience in the social work field.  I applied, and was accepted, for advanced standing at Eastern Washington University’s School of Social Work, one of the better programs in Washington state.  I will even be able to continue working and living in Snohomish County while attending school.  Financial aid is in place for the year and a half long program.  There is just one complication:  Federal aid does not cover the seminar I need to begin my post-undergraduate education.  I was informed of this two weeks ago, after several days of communication with the university.  It is a six credit 2 week class that begins at the end of this coming August.  I cannot start spring quarter without attending this seminar.  I am respectfully requesting sponsorship for this class in any amount up to the $1700 needed for tuition and books for this summer seminar.  I have tried all the conventional means, and those options are unavailable to me as well.

By beginning graduate school now, I feel that I will gain even more skills and knowledge to continue to aid the disenfranchised of this community, and later on a more global scale.  Thank you for your time and consideration.

It took me a minute to get the hang of this.

Hello and welcome to my aid pages.

I'm not seeking aid for myself.

I take care of a wonderful person who is in need of a better quality of life.

For three years she has been at home with no reliable way to get out and about like other people do.

She does have an older power wheelchair. However, she can't go very far in it.

We have a system here called Para Transit which is a great company and I commend their efforts to help differently abled people get to and from appointments.

The thing is it doesn't work for my client. It's the wait time between travels that gives chance to serious complications to her health.

Her medical insurance only covers doctor visits through them. If she wanted to stop to look at flowers or sit on a park bench for a moment she couldn't. As I have to travel with her, a cooler full of supplies and other necessities are out of the question.

What we need is a wheelchair accessible van.

If you have one that you are willing to donate or know of anyone else that can give her one it would be a ten fold blessing. If you have any idea of whom to write or know how to write a grant for one, your help will be greatly appreciated. If you can donate money for one or know of any philanthropist who can and is willing please contact me as soon as possible.

I don't have a 501 c 3 or an umbrella and the places that I have written (which has been several) have told me that they don't donate to individuals or they have recommended places that don't. I have called and written to foundations and others that have cause in her diagnosis' to no avail.

If you have it to give please give to a very deserving lady who's greatest desire is to enjoy each and every moment.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this page. Thank you in advance for finding it in your heart to give someone you don't know personally a chance to live a better quality of life.

The rest of the story of Ed and Cheri

Both my new husband and I are disabled. We are going to need both financial and legal assistance to retain an attorney to try to reopen the divorce and hopefully prosecute the exhusband for forgery on our joint day trading account he forged my signature on.

I first met Ed in junior high school. He was my first boyfriend at 14 years old, but my family moved so we lost contact. We have reunited and been married a little over a year now.

We were both victims of "worse case" contractor fraud. We need financial or construction help to get our home our home finished and safe.

Brad from Washington L & I took his contracting license away after seeing the damage he and his workers did to our home.

We are getting desperate for financial assistance.

Thanks

DESPERATE for financial and legal help, please Cheri and Ed

My husband and I are both disabled. After leaving an increasingely abusive marriage of almost 25 years, I was finally able to escape the marriage and was hopeful to begin my new life.  My ex husband was an abusive binge drinker and he also forged my signature on a joint day trading  account at HarrisDirect. He also lied on his income and asset form during our divorce # D03-03-004 in Contra Costa county Martinez, Ca.

I am still permanently disabled due to a medical treatment, but was not able to get any financial support from either my ex husband or adult son. I was awarded a dilapitated home in my divorce settlement, but no monthly income and no medical insurance. In other words, I had no money to fix it up. My boyfriend at the time (My husband now) helped me to borrow money to do the necessary repairs. The only loan we could get was from a Predatory lender, since we are both disabled and had very little income and are currently living off one disability pension. My husband is a disabled veteran. Our address is 33088 West Shore Drive, Mount Vernon, Wa. 98274. Our phone number is (360) 422-5849. When I contacted our local HUD office, I was told that we made just over the income limit to be eligible for a grant or a low income home repair loan. Unfortunely all the money we have goes to pay the mortgage and buy food.

We got $70,000. from the predatory lender. We hired a licensed and bonded contractor and were hoping to get this home up to current standards and codes. Unfortunately that did not happen!  The contractor left our home almost completely "demolished". I will attach a few pictures. so you can see the condition of the home the way the contractor left it. The contractor did not even tell us he was leaving. When he realized that he had gotten all the money we had, he picked up his tools and we never saw him again. The contractor did not permit the job and none of the work he and his employees did was up to code standards. He left us with no kitchen,no bath and no running water. There were live wires hanging everywhere and plumbing pipes just cut and not hooked up to anything.

Due to the contractor's negligence, there is mold forming both inside and outside the house and my husband is getting sicker and sicker every day he lives in this house.

When I contacted our local HUD office, I was told that we made just over the income limit to be eligible for a grant or a low income home repair loan.  Unfortunely all the money we have goes to pay the mortgage and buy food. We cannot get a rehab loan from any lenders (even the predatory lenders).

We don't have any more funds to finish our house and we are living in a tent inside the main living area because the contractor took out the electric wall heaters. We are using the oven and space heaters to try to heat the home and now we can't afford to pay the electrical bill. We also have mounting medical and other bills we can;t afford to pay. we can't hind any construction and/or financial help in Mount Vernon, Wa.

We need to make our home, livable and safe. The contractor basically left ever room he touched in a "demolition state" . The "not so honest" contractor basically left us to live in death trap. The electrical panel is appalling and not up to code. There isn't a sewer vent to the outside of the house.

To whom this may concern,

I have tried to contact HUD, but I am told we are "over income" by their guidelines. My husband is a disabled veteran who will need to have major surgery very soon. I am also disabled from a medical treatment , but still pending a social security hearing and have no income at this time.

This the way we live now, in a tent, in the house.

The dishonest "con" tractor lost his contractor license mid December 2004 from Washington Labor  & Industries and  is on the run.

We can't get financing to do the desperately needed repairs to make our home safe and up to current codes, since the house is not finished and we don't have enough income. We are the victims of a horrendeous crime yet we can't get any help from anyone.

We either live here or we are homeless!

Welcome!

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Tristian Yost. I am 2nd oldest out of a family of 8. Three sisters, two brothers, and two loving parents. I'm 22 years of age, and have just recieved my AA in Technical Arts, in Fine Arts, and in General Studies (3 individual degree's).

I have freelanced my web/publication design work for 4 years now. I keep myself fresh in the field by learning new advanced techniques and abroad areas of study. I've just reached the 2 year mark on my Taekwondo Instructor mark at the U.S. Taekwondo Academy in Marysville. I plan on recieving my bachelor's of computer science whithin the time frame of 2 more years! Overall, my main drive and hobby is to teach and learn all I can in this life given.

I am a type 1 Diabetic (Juvenille Diabetic). I've been Diabetic for a little over 10 years now, which I was first discovered at 12 years of age. My body has gone through tremendous tribulation throughout the past 2 years. I've been maintaing and regulating my sugars regularly, but my body in some ways has rejected many of the technological advancements by way of insulin pump. My skin conditions have grown week with the agreevation applying 7 shots a day just to keep sugars in range. I've had Endocrinolgist tell me nothing about what could be done to improve my skin conditions. Just recently, I've had mini episodes that played with my awareness to act mentally. Thus, I was not getting any answers. I've applied to the Washingotn University Diabetic Research Foundation to get some answers. The tests will commence here real soon, but in the mean time things with work have been not so good. Since I'm a Taekwondo Instructor, I have to be at work and teach physically. Now, with the episodes and problems with skin, I've lost my position of full time, meaning my income is very low. Not only that, but our corperation has no medical benifits. As you can guess my medical bill is devastating. I've gone from perfect credit to very low. Everything I was and hoped to be is crumbling before my eyes. I'm one whom never gives up, but things are looking rather thin now.

I truly ask that you would consider my request to offer a grant that will get me back on my feet to continue to discover what changes can improve my health. And to know that I'm debt free by releasing the stress from worrying every breaking day about bills stacking up.

Thank you for your time!

home repairs

My husband and I both work retail jobs.  We live in a home that we own, but are unable to do the much needed repairs.  If these repairs are left undone it will lower the value of our home and the problems will only get worse.  We desperately need a government grant to help us fix up our home.  We would love to move back to where we have family, but we need to be able to sell our home.

My name is Heather.  I am a 31-year-old single mother of a 9-year-old special needs son.  I work full time as a Unit Secretary in a local hospital.  My son and I have lived on our own since he was 3 months old.  His father was abusive to me and we do not have contact with him whatsoever as he is now a level 3 sex offender.  We get by on the income that I make but it is from paycheck to paycheck.  We don't have a savings, nor do we get to go on vacations.  In some ways I think it's good for him to experience the struggles of life.  There are too many children who have everything handed to them and they don't see the value of it.  I am planning to go back to school soon and get my BA in Business (I have my AA right now) but I need to have surgery first.  According to the state I make more than enough money so I don't qualify for any assistance.  If it weren't for family we would barely have enough for food.  Despite all this I am an optimistic person and I try to help others as much as I can (there will always be someone worse off then me).  Hard times are frequent in our house but we still know how to laugh and enjoy our time together.

My family is the most important thing to me, or I would not even be trying to get help this way...

I am a 45y/o mom who is working extremely hard to make sure our son has the best we can give him and a loving home life.  He is a very gifted boy nearing 14 years old.  We have managed to get him enrolled in a progressive school that will assist his goal of becoming a forensics scientist and game designer.  Strange combination I  know, but those are the two fields he is interested in...but I must be able to get to and from work...

My husband and I both work for a great companies, and we are buying our home.  My husband works very hard to help pay the bills.  Normally we do ok...despite my severe arthritis and other health issues, I am still fighting to work full time to help provide for our family.

Where our problem comes in is that after my old car blew up, and we bought 3 more used vehicles which all consequently blew up...I finally broke down and went to a dealer and purchased a more expensive (due to financing it) vehicle.

My little truck is a real gem...except for one small thing...after having made only 4 payments... the transmission has gone out.  I have gotten several quotes, from reputable shops in our county, and also in BC, which is next door...the cost to rebuild...Between $1800.00 - $2000.00 US.

We simply do not have any money saved, or back up funds to pay for this...I don't have anything left to sell, or anyone/anyplace to borrow the money to get my truck fixed.

I hope someone finds it in their hearts to help out, as I don't know where else to turn anymore.  We make too much money to get any sort of governmental aid, and most charities around here are the same, they say because we are both working, we make too much money for them to help us.

You can see from the yard, and the truck, we live fairly meagerly.  The truck is a 1991, and it was the best of the ones on the lot, that we could afford.  I have to be able to get the truck fixed before August 26th, or I will more than likely lose my job, due to not having any way to get back and forth to work.

I pray someone has it in their hearts to help...we normally are ok...but this is just more than we can handle.  I am trying to get a second job as well, to try to get enough money together to try to pay for the transmission repairs.  I just found out about my new shift at work, which starts August 26th, if I don't have the truck fixed by then, there is no way I can keep my job.  Please help if you can...

Thanks for reading, Namaste and Blessings to All.

I’m a father of six wonderful children. Recently I have fallen on hard times. I hurt my back in the war, and when I came home they told me I couldn’t stay in because of my injuries. I had hoped they would re-train me, but because I can no longer fight I’m of no use to them. In addition, my youngest son was diagnosed with cancer and lost 85% of his liver. He’s getting better, but I continued to be emotionaly devistated for a while. During his illness and surgeries, and because of my deployments, I began to use alcohol to deal with the pain, both emotional and physical. I lost sight of what was important for a while. I got into some trouble and was reduced in rank, loosing $745.00 a month. Now they are trying to take away my disability benefits as well. I need to secure a cheaper mode of transportation before my vehicle gets repossessed. I have a VW bus I was restoring that would suffice, but I don’t have the means to fix it up now. If anybody out there could do anything to help at all, it would be greatly appreciated.

My name is April and I am a mother of two boys and happily married to my husband for seven years in August. I am writing in this aidpage and wondering on what I can do to help my husband and I get out of our financial situation. I need some help in finding a job or something to help my husband worrying about our bills and also myself. I get stressed out all the time because we have bills to pay and we can't seem to get them paid and we could be in trouble and lose our home. We pay property tax and we don't have the money for it. Anything can help. I've tried to get help from the state but my husband makes to much and I don't want to do anymore payday loans, because we have three out right now and we can pay for them all.
Soldier's Family in Need of Help

Hello All,
Goodness, I'm not sure where to start. I'm a soldier in the Army, a father of six, (four girls two boys), a husband of one and a servant to many. I have been deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. While in Iraq I hurt my back. Nothing heroic, just over use. I'm a carpenter and mason, but can no longer work in this area because of my back problems. I was getting out on a medical discharge, but, (I'm ashamed to admit), got into a little bit of trouble. My son was diagnosed with cancer two years ago when he was two months old. He lost 85% of his liver, and had so many complications due to his surgeries I can barely retell because of the emotional pain. Well, I had a hard time dealing with it all and started using alcohol as a coping mechanism. He is getting better now, as am I, (though he still eats through a tube in his stomach). However, it took getting in trouble at work to get me to admit my problems. Because of that I was reduced in rank and am making $745 less now than I was last month. They may take away my disability benifits, but I'll cross that bridge later.
I need to get rid of my suburban before I get into trouble for non-payment. I have an old V.W. bus I am restoring that will accommodate our needs, but no funds to fix it up.
There is alot more that this puts us in need of. My oldest daughter needs new cloaths, they all need dental work, and I wish I could give them all just a few of their wants, but I'm strugleing just to fill their needs. I'm ashamed to do so, but it looks like I'll have to go on food stamps just to feed my family. Any help, even ten bucks for a little gas, would be gratefully received. Thank you

Ballet School Owner In Need of More Space

At the age of fifteen, I began teaching ballet through the local health club. I considered it a temporary job until I would go away to college or pursue a career as a professional dancer. After two years, I had about twenty students. Some were at the health club and other classes were taught in the homes of some of the students. I went to work under the Department of Parks and Recreation, which gave me access to school gyms and the community center, but within another two years, even that was not big enough to contain my growing classes. I needed my own studio. I was able to rent a studio apartment-type room in the upstairs of a building that had been built in 1906, and had once been condemmed. The room is probably the only room in town large enough to accommodate a dance studio. It needed a lot of work, and my family and friends helped me to remodel it, and I was able to borrow money to buy the dance floor, barre and mirrors I needed.

The Prosser School of Ballet is going into its third year, and we are bursting at the seams again. This fall, I will be teaching at least 17 classes per week, and I expect the number of students to reach 100 this year. I would love to expand more, but there are just not enough hours in the day to teach as many classes as I would like to teach. While the studio is doing quite well for itself financially, I have still not been able to pay off my loans. Last year, I was very ill, and my medical insurance did not come through for me, so I am still paying hospital and doctor bills.

My dream would be to build a school with multiple studio rooms, so that I could hire another teacher and run some classes simultaneously. I would also be able to offer other forms of dance. Unfortunately, with my current bills, I could not afford to do such a thing, and yet I cannot expand any further in my current studio.

We stay fairly busy throughout the year. We perform an annual production of The Nutcracker as well as a Spring Recital. I also direct a small worship dance performing group called "The Corps", which usually runs for a few months out of each year. The weekly class consists of a bible lesson and rehearsal for our original production, "Let There Be Light". During the summer months, I teach week-long day camps for the students, ranging from a two-hour fun and games ballet class for the little ones, to a six-hour intensive for the teens.

My relationship with my students is very important to me. Some of them spend two or three days out of the week in class, and as their teacher, I know I have great influence over them, whether I want to or not! It is my intention to set an example for them, and to teach them not only about ballet, but about confidence in themselves, and to encourage positive attitudes toward their classmates and their parents. Some of my teen students often talk with me about decisions they need to make about school and activities, or about struggles with their family. I am very humbled with the knowledge that this is much more than a job.

I am seeking a grant to enable me to build my dream ballet school, in order to create a wonderful environment for my students to learn, and to enable me to keep a sane schedule so that I do not burn out. I have seen too many dance instructors grow weary of the long hours and emotionally heavy work involved in their job, and they end up becoming more of a detriment than a help to their students. It is my hope that I will not allow that to happen in my school.

I have no other option but bankruptcy!

It is horrible and I feel like everything I do is never good enough! If I did not have a child and another on the way I would have nothing! They are the reason I need help.. I made mistakes and tried to pay to get out but the debt is too large I have lost everything and I still have more fees and more bill collectors. I am very happy that I have my son and girl on the way so I have two reasons to never give up on living and loving. I do not have money for bankruptcy either.. so I just wanted to see what I should do.
