I am a single mom aged 41. i'd like to try to buy a house for my very small family. i want to give my daughter some stability. however. i cannot afford it, because i have an overwhelming school debt hanging over my head. any tips or suggestions on how to pay it back or have some of it forgiven would be most appreciated.

I'm 18 & I'm 7 months pregnant, I live w/ my mom, 2 brothers, & my sister...the only one working is my sis, working at McDonalds only getting like $400, $500 a month if we are lucky, & we unfortunatley live in a small/crappy town w/ no opprotunity & no help & are struggling.  We have to pay outragious electric bills that are $300-$600 a month, which is so hard, especially when we don't have it...we have to scrape & scramble each month in fear that we will lose power, it's especially scary now, it being so hot...the thought of not having power, no way to escape this awful/deadly heat...it's especially hard on me, being pregnant...our ac is already out as it is, & I am sure I would have been dead by now if it wasn't for me having a fan to cool off a bit, which some days it doesn't do much, the heat is just so overwhelming.  Yea, our ac is also out, every 2 weeks we always have bills to pay, food to buy n stuff...we never have any money left over to take care of these problems.  Also, our truck, the only source of transportation is breaking down.  If we lose our truck, the thought of it is just too scary/frightening to think about...how my sis would lose her job, we wouldn't be able to buy food or anything...we would surley die off.  Also, my baby will be here in the next 2 months or so, & I barley have anything for him.  It is really depressing for me that I wont be able to have anything for my child, the way things look...I wont be able to get a car seat so I can take my baby home!  So as you can see, we are truly struggling, my dad left in September/October last year...& things have been down hill...awful ever since.  We have went weeks w/out power b4 cuz we couldn't pay the bill(thank God it was cooler then & it wasn't as rough, now losing power is life threatening), we go most weeks pratically starving(still now even, & it scares me cuz of my baby...not being able to give my baby what it needs to grow, I so so don't want to lose him).  So please, if anyone out there has a heart, compassion for a family who is indeed really strugling/needs help really bad...please, let me kno.  Any kind of money you can spare, baby stuff you can spare...please...PLEASE, help us! You can send me a message at wicked_monkey_jester1722@yahoo.com  God bless...

Well, i am a single mother of three beautifull children ages 2, 6, and 7. I am not working right now due to my lack of experience and flexable schedual. But I am trying to work that out. I often find me self struggling with food and gas. which I think is normal with alot of people these days. We are a hard working family living in Montclair and Kearny, NJ our whole lives. Life took a twisted turn when the bills stacked up, my husband got laid off and stayed home with our 6 week old daughter (currently 8 Months), and I, today actually was laid off from our only source of income. My husband tried to work around my job, and with daycare costs and rent, for a 22 year old man and 19 year old young lady we are coming to a point where we are going to wind up in the kind of neighborhood we don't want our daughter in just to keep a roof on our heads. If we could catch up 3 months rent and all the bills we owe, it would be a miracle.

Hello, First of all this is going to be very hard and I hope everyone who reads this will try to help as well as get a small understanding. If you can't help Adrienne maybe a child in her situation. Adrienne's 22 yr old mother Holly passed away on Dec. 12 2006. Holly was abused by her boyfriend and from the abuse was left with a brain hemerage. The abuse happened around Thanksgiving and Holly has been having major headaches. She was in hospital in Port Huron, Michigan and sent home with the believe she was ok. She then returned to hospital in Sandusky, Michigan with headaches and sickness. Holly was then flown to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw Michigan where she was kept for further observation. On Dec. 11 2006 Holly was close to being sent home again believing she was going to be ok. Later on that same day Holly fell asleep. When her sister tried to wake her she was unable to do so, Holly was in a deep coma. The doctors began emergency brain surgery to relieve the pressure, Then holly was placed on a respirator and fed life only by support. Her father flew in from florida, and her mother and 2 sisters, and also Adrienne were at the Hospital. Dec 12 2006 the Hospital performed a cat scan, an EEG, and a brain blood flow test. All were deemed negative and Holly was pronounced Brain Dead. Holly's father and mother had to decide what to do and felt enough was done and life support was removed. Holly passed away with friends and family in attendence outside and father and mother in the room. Adrienne was downstairs in the lobby and was not aware but only asked for her mother numerous times. It was a very sad day. Adrienne and Holly bothed lived with Holly's mom in Sandusky Michigan. Along with 2 of Holly's sisters Courtney and melissa. Courtney is currently pregnant, and Melissa is a junior in high school. Holly's mom Ann is a single mother who works at a parts plant in Michigan. Most of the family is dealing with funeral and all arrangements needed for this situation but the one concern is we don't want Adriennes Christmas altered in anyway. Financially we are just unable to do anymore. Ann is in a tough situation here because she will be raising Adrienne now and She has alot to bear in the coming days and weeks and beyond. The main reason for this plea is due to My personal experience a few years back when i was unemployed due to a layoff and the folks of Ebay helped me and my family. I also would like to let everyone know That when I got back to work I also returned the faith and helped families thru my workplace with food and gift donations. The main things Adrienne loves are her Baby Dolls, Her Dora toys and games, Videos, She is in need of clothes,She is currently in 3T but close to 4T, and any other help that you great folks could offer. Hi we are the West family my husband was in a car accident that removed him from work and haulted our primary form of income we are past due with our rent, and soon to be put out of our apartment. We have a 2year old son and we cant lose him because of this. we recently took my husband's sister and brother in our household, they were living in California and there father had a mental issue and put them out on the streets with nowhere to go. So we had to send for them to come live with us. My brother in law is eighteen years of age and my sister in law is seventeen years old. Today marks a week overdue in rent and were at a loss, we dont know what to do. I have called the local places that's supposed to help with situations like this, and their mostly out of funds for the rest of the month or taking care of other bills at the time. Weve ran out of choices and this would be our last resort, all of us are in dying need of your help please help us pay our rent. The rent is $855.00 and the first day it went up $50.00 and every day after that was $15.00. We will be absolutely grateful if an angel was sent to help us, we desperately need some help.

My brother Austin is too proud and embarrassed to ask for help. He is struggling to take care of his wife and son.  He was hospitalized several times for reconstructive knee surgeries. The surgeries were to help him continue to walk before he needed to be in a wheel chair. Austin didn’t have insurance to cover the $90,000 dollar hospital bill. 

He has been forced to take a low paying job that is not covering the bills. Every day is a struggle to put food on the table and keep up on there financial responsibilities. They are passed due and receiving shut off notices. 

Austin’s wife Shyann is a stay at home who is suffering with a deterioration disease of the back. It has already affected her L-4 and L-5 along with her lower neck. 

There Beautiful son Keith is 6 months old who has already been hospitalized twice this year suffering lung issues and infection. 

My brother and his family truly need love and support. They have been hit with one problem after another. They have gone through so much in the past few years. I just keep hoping a miracle will happen for them and all the families who are suffering.

I am a single mom of a gorgeous 18 month old daughter. I work. She goes to day care. And I have an elderly dog, who I rescued more than 12 years ago. I work for a religious congregation and actually make a fair salary in my field.

This is my quandry. I qualify for for the first time homebuyer program in my city, but I do not make enough money for a real life mortgage. The lower i can get my mortgage the more realistic it will be that I can achieve my dream of owning a house to make a real home for my daughter.

My daughter is 18 months old. She talks very little, but is getting there. She is bright eyed and quick to giggle. She is very sweet, whether she is giving kisses, is tired and rubbing her eyes, or when she tucks her sippy cup under her arm and runs around the house. She has whispy blond hair, big hazel eyes and a button nose.

I love her more than life itself. I will do anything for her to be safe and happy. I want to make a home for her to feel loved and content and secure, so when she goes to school she can feel confident that her home is stable and can she can focus on being a child.

I grew up in the projects in Boston. We were very poor. My dad still lives there on his meager VA benefits and SocSec. He is unable to help me financially, but he is rooting for me and my daughter.

My baby's father was not ready to be a dad. In fact he is not really ready to work a real job to be able to pay child support. So I support my little family alone. And, as a renter, I have had to move so many times. I really want to give my daughter stability and a real home. It is very difficult for me to ask for help, but here I am asking.

I have had 4 miscarriages and the last miscarraige did not pass.  I carried a dead  fetus mummified for 6 months due to not having health insurance.  I was forced to go to an abortin clinic to get my self cleaned out.

In doing so I have recently found out the d/c cleaning has caused me so much scar tissue I am unable to get pregnant until I have this surgery. I do not have health insurance. The surgery is very expensive.

Hello, I am a young female who is 38 weeks pregnant with a little girl! I am really exciteed about the baby, but I am worried because I lack the things to properly take care of her. I was put on bedrest by my OB early on in my pregnancy. I am RH negative, and severly anemic. My placenta has also moved to cover my cervix because my boyfriend at the time beat me severely and kicked me in the stomach over 20 times! I have gone into early labor several times and they have been able to stop it, but with me being far enough along there isnt much more that they will do. At my last dr's appointement I found out that there was a problem with my platelets. A normal count is between 140 and 400, but mine we only at 73! The doctor told me that if he went ahead and did my c-section that there was a possibility that I could bleed to death because my blood would not clot. He sent me to an oncologist which scared me to death and the first thing I asked was did I have cancer? They said no, just a problem with my blood. They gave me a transfusion and I am now awaiting the results of current blood work.

So I am really getting nervous. I am still in need of onesies, sleepers, outfits, socks ( I didnt think of socks) a snowsuit, receiving blankets, bassinet sheets, crib sheets, diapers, wipes, lotions, baby bath.

Here is the rest of my story for those who dont know it.

Although I am only 22 years old I have had a rough life, but because of it have been able to overcome many of life's struggles. I lost my own mother when I was but 2 years old and was sent to foster care system where I lived being shuffled around until the age of 18. Since I had never experienced a stable family I allowed myself to become involved with a man who said he loved me..but love shouldnt hurt. He beat me many many times and I stayed because I thought that he was all life had to offer. After leaving I found out I was pregnant and he convinced me to come back. I believed that I could change him, but when he beat me severely although I am 8 months pregnant, I made a run for it. I am now living with a friend trying to get into housing of my own. I was diagnosed as RH negative and put on bed rest. That means I cant work until after the baby is born. As of right now I know that she is a girl, but I have nothing for her. I have nothing for her to sleep in, no clothes, not even bottles or the bare necessities. Please help me give my baby a fighting chance in the world. I want to make life better for her....she is my legacy....

We recently found out we are pregnant and that our insurance only covers complicated pregnancy. I hav enot seen a doctor yet, because we already have some medical debt and I want ot see if there any help out here before make that debt even larger.
