I need help in tution, books, and being able to support my two boys while I go to college full time.   I have been out of school for twenty years.  I have been married three times.  I was afraid to go back to school after each year went by due to thinking I had forgotton or would fail.  I have taken the Compass test and was  very pleased that I did well.  My boys father is not in their life and does not pay child support.  I am currently working and due to this I can not receive assistance.  I have always wanted to go to college but  I got married at sixteen years old and had a son by the age of 17.  Now I have two boys who are 12 and 14 that I need a degree so I can support them on my own.  Its very discourgaing due to doors being shut since I am working.  I am being refused help due to I have a job.  I have worked and am still working but I would like to go to college full time not just to be able to support my children but for myself. 

Hi my name is Tammy.  I'm trying desperately to assist my mother who has fallen into a pit of despair after losing my baby sister in February of this year.  My sister Wendy was 36, she was deaf/blind and disabled from birth, due to a one-in-a- million gene defect.  She died of heart disease. My mother's grief has led to many phobias and mental health issues.  I have no choice but to move her in with me and my husband.  I need money to make this happen.  The only thing I have of worth to pledge- is years of books that I have read and collected.  I have read a book, twice a week for over 20 years.  And yes...I have them all!  I have made a list of the books/authors that I am going to part with. (e-mail me for the list)  Among them you will find recent best sellers, autobiographies, old books, odd books, self help books, cook books, there is something for everyone.  I figure I can ship them for around $5 which would make my goal $1000

The money will be used to get her car fixed, storage and moving expenses.  If there is anything left I will spend the balance to get my sister out of that plastic box and into a real urn.

I am enrolled to start online schooling at Western University on July 25, 2005 and am in search of assistance for various education and misc. expenses. I and 44 years old and finally am persuing a dream that has been only a thought since graduating High School. As the cost of books, computer, transportation and miscellaneous expenses will be a burden to me as I get started with this venture they will only be an obstacle and will not detour me. I am asking for information any Grants or Assistance that might be available to me.

   I  desperately  need  cash  for  college.Please  help!I  was  the  victom   of   a   grant   scam,desperatly  need   cash  for  college.I  was  depending  on  the   money,told   i    won  the   scholarship   within  weeks  of   appling.So   I  didn't  look   for    other   aid   bbecause   it   was   more  than   enough   to   cover   tuition   and   books.Only  to   later  find   out   it   was    a   scam.

I am a mother of three.  I have a fifteen year old, a four year old and a two year old.  My husband left last month and took all the money and our only running vehicle.  I was trying to do an online business to try and make a little extra money to help out, but that didn't work out very well.  I no longer have the money to make products to sell.  I haven't been able to find work or help with grants around this small town.  They are shutting off our electric today and I'll have an eviction notice tommorrow.  I'm not sure what to do.  I will be having a yard sell this weekend to try and make a little extra money, other than that, I'm lost.  I've already applied for work at all the places in town even places I know I don't qualify for.  Without electric, I can't hope to get a call for work and without a home, my children will have to go to foster care.  If you know of any way to help, please let me know.

I would like to attend UNLV for a Buisness degree and can't (I don't like the word can't it's like failure before you tried everything) so let's say I'm having trouble finding a way to get my dream started. this will require some help with tuition and books a computer most classes in my field of study suggest a laptop well I realy don't know what else to say. I appreciate those who have taken the time to read this and would like to thank all those who may have suggestions

I just found this site today and so I am still unsure how this works, and am still feeling my way around a bit. I am a single mommy of two little boys, who are my heart. I am also a full time college student, and sell on ebay as well. Right now I have no income, other than what I try and sell on Ebay. I have severe depression and anxiety attacks.. and it is difficult for me to find work. Although I do try and do what I can from home. . I am in great need of help with bills at the moment and simple things that are hard for me to come by right now such as diapers, toilet paper, etc..

I have posted a number of sites for others to take a look at that I have found to be helpfull, but they can only help so much and I am in great need at the moment.

We have plenty of food, so this is a blessing. But really need help to get my car insurance and plates, so i can take the kids to doctors appointments, etc..

We also have a heat shut off notice as well as an electric shut off notice, ( I can show copies to anyone willing to help us with this, or even contribute directly to the utility companies themselves) (I have sought help at community agencies, to no avail)

I have no one to turn to to ask for help.. So i am turning to this online community in hopes that someone can help... even if its jus a few dollars, it can add up to a package of diapers, etc..

Hi, everyone.I'm here looking for assitance.my name is Thasku Joseph. I am from Guam USA a tiny island in  the south pacific about 300 miles a way from the Phillipine.the problem I had since June 2003 until now is my spinal cord and diabetic. I was in the wheel chair before I went to Hawaii for surgery but now I'm still suffer and pain I cry to our lord to at least make me walk again. I thanked to the Lord for let me walk with gain but I walk very slowly like an old man.I'm 46 yrs old. because my family is poor and my self I can't afford to pay for my plane ticket and another surgery. my doctor in Hawaii recomanded me to get another surgery after 2 or 3 yrs but I can't because  of financial situation. when I had my first surgey, it took 10 hours that day to have my procedure done. but when my doctor visited me in my bed the next day he told me I still have left over problem on my spine to remove the deases from spine cord (disc). he also told  me with in 2 or 3 yrs he would remove the rest of spinal cord deases that causes my nerve system not funtion properly.my spinal cord problem is at the edge of my spine on my neck close to my head. this is the main reason it affects   both  my harms, and my body, especially, my legs are the worst. I suffered daily and cried to the lord to protect and take care of my pain and other difficulities. this is including my family's needs.I get SSDI only $373.00 a month, I have 2 girls 9 and 10 yrs old. they are in school.my wife is unemployed and also has menthal problem. I hardly can't afford to buy my kid's personal needs such as clothes, school supplies, and etc. my SSDI goes to our house's bill.I was lucky the first time I had my first surgery because I was fund raising and especially coupon churches were helping me out.and now Im just staying home sometimes I excercise swimming and praying.I write my story because I need you people out there to  at least read and know that I need you people help to send my kid's used clothes or for my family as well. if you can please help me with little money, I do really appreciated and I accepted. I am a 36 yr. old woman and a recovering addict looking for a way to go to college.  I am unemployed, I have no savings, no car, no type of insurance, I am starting my life over from scratch and I am trying to finally fulfill my dreams.  I live with my "significant other" who takes care of my basic needs but cannot afford to put me through school.  I am trying to find grants or scholarships that will cover my tuition.  I am interested in a Bachelors Degree in the arts of Psychology.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been struggling in school since 1997, changing careers. I have picked nursing. I am now in the LVN program at austin community college in austin texas. I will be starting my last semester in fall or august 05-december 05.  I need help with bills, dedt, books, tution, uniform, supplies in general.
