Hello everyone, please do not flag this. I have cancer and cannot work, my husband is a local truck driver who works hard but is having to switch companies due to his present company is losing contracts. We are trying this as a last effort. We have applied for help with several agencies and have been denied due to income. I have applied for disability several timnes and was denied and presently have a lawyer working on this. We really need help with our mortgage. We have been paying as we should. We did get behind and they mortgage company said they would work with us, well they have decided that they want it now. They tried to refinance the loan but due to hospital bills and when we were behind they will not. They have given us till February 15 to come up with $7000, that includes late fees and interest charges. We are doing without some things to try and save this, my son is working and trying to help. We are begging for anyone to help with any of it. Please we are good Christian people and do not want to lose our home we have struggled to keep.

Need Financial Grant to pay bills for Cancer treatment.

I receive social security disability in the amount of $779.00. I need financial grant to

please help me pay for my follicular lymphoma cancer treatment and to also help me

to pay my monthly bills. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

Have a Blessed Day!

Pancreatitic Cancer has taken almost everything I ever had. I AM NOT A QUIETER and with equipment I have received I am about ready to begin working again.

It isn't easy forcing yourself when you are in pain 24/7 to be independent but I am beginning to do it but I still need help with 1 thing.

I need transportation desperately so I can work. I have an old work van I can sell for about $500 but it needs $1000 of work to pass inspection as now the steering went out on me. Even if it was working the MPG is only about 7 miles per gallon and because of the cost of gas it costs me over $10 just to go to my doctor 12 miles away once a week.

I will not ask for any dollar amount, just what anyone can spare so I can sell the van and get something that is dependable and cheap on gas. So please help me get transportation so I can be independent and work. There is no public transportation where I live and I have made it this far and with your help I WILL SUCCEED.

Please help my 11 year old daughter have a good Christmas.....

Help,    I am so desperate to try to help my 11-year-old daughter Mikaylee have a decent Christmas. Mikaylee is such a sweet child.  She does not go to school but is home schooled to help care for 98 and 93-year-old great-grandmothers and for me. She does the chores, visits with the elderly, reads and draws pictures for them. She says all she wants for Christmas is a turkey dinner and a drawing pad (she wants to be an engineer and work for Disney. I can't even get her the turkey dinner. Over the past 6 years, Mikaylee has been with the family as we have been through the legal proceedings because her sister, Cassandra, (a 16 year old virgin at the time) was drugged and gang raped by my students (I taught Chemistry and Physics).  The DA said he would not prosecute the boys for rape because they were from “fine families and just made some stupid mistakes” We started civil proceedings. Our minister who was counseling Cassandra at the time committed suicide.  Cassandra went on a self-destructive period, which ended up with her on the streets and us looking for her at all hours of the night.  That is over now thank God and she is in college clean and sober, but is living with a 60ish old man who does not want her to see her family.  My husband and I have had 2 cancer scares, we have lost our home we built and everything we've owned because of high medical, psychological and legal bills, and her father has had a nervous breakdown. We moved to Louisiana after the Hurricanes to help family members rebuild (my husband was a builder).  Last year before Christmas I was hit by a car, suffer spinal injuries, and can barely walk.  Now Mikaylee is afraid to leave to leave my side to go to school, to friends houses, to church, anywhere and she stays home from school to care for the elderly great-grandparents and me.  We now live in a one-room garage apartment.
Mikaylee is thankful to get a package of gum and hand me down socks. Mikaylee is my best friend; she gives me hope and tries to help me feel better when the pain is so bad.  Just as I want to give up, she is there with a handful of picked flowers, a picture and a story to help me laugh.  Please, I know you know many groups that help with things like this.  Please help Mikaylee have one good Christmas! Please if you cannot help, point me to some group or someone who may.
Thank you and God bless you,
Dana Petty (Mikaylee's mom and best friend)

Single mom with health issues needs help

I am a 39 year old single mom of a wonderful 9 year old boy. I have numerous health issues and really need an angel to help me out!

10 years ago I fell off a ladder and I have a chronic back/hip injury that affects me daily. 5 years ago I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's, a thyroid disease. This year I was also diagnosed with Fibromyaliga and CFS. Last year I had a uterine biopsy and was diagnosed with hyperplasia with atypia, which means pre-cancerous cells were forming. I was on a high dosage of meds that are supposed to fight that but in the end the cancer won out and I was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer a few months ago. I had a complete hysterectomy about 3 weeks ago and the good news is that the pathology report is excellent. The Cancer is gone and I need no further treatment. However, all of the surgical proceedures, medications and doctors appointments have left me in debt and barely able to pay bills and worried about Christmas.

I know, it sounds terrible! And it has been, but I am a good person, I have alot of faith and the love of my son. I have a wonderful son and I need to keep it all together for him. The diseases and meds and this and that have caused weight gain and I'm constantly tired and my back bothers me alot, but I still work. I am not on any type of government aid. But I am stressed... money is getting tight. I haven't been able to work as much as I usually do lately with everything going on. I really need help!!!

Any help would be appreciated! I don't know who reads these pages but money of course would help. If you want to send gift cards for groceries that would be nice.

I do not drink, I do not do drugs. I am educated and I do work full time. My job is flexible and allows me to spend alot of time with my son and not have him in child care. I think being a parent is the most important job in the entire world and I take it very seriously.

If you want to help by making a car payment let me know and I can send you payment info... or by making my SMUD payment. I can understand someone's hesitancy to just send money, which would be appreciated, but I also would love any specific help. If you want to send a Walmart or Target etc.. gift card, that would help.

I will survive this, but the stress over money doesn't help my health and doesn't help me concentrate on getting well. At this point I am almost 3 months behind on my car payment and it will be taken away soon. If you can make a payment to the company that would be wonderful!

I guess I am hoping an angel will read this and help us out. I know there are good people in this world.

God Bless.

Hello there! I'm new to this but I'll see if I can do this right the first time.

I'm 48 years old and have worked in the computer business for more than 25 years. That's about as long as you CAN work with desktop computers because I was involved from the beginning of the PC "revolution!"

I lost my job last year when my boss was caught stealing from the government agency we worked for. I guess he thought if he got rid of the computer person (me) he might be able to get away with it and things would settle down for him. Well, they didn't. I was highly involved in the investigation and he eventually went to jail for a couple of months, will serve 4-5 years probation as well as house arrest. restitution, etc. Meanwhile - I'm still out of work. I do have a Whistleblower suit pending, and think a nice settlement will eventually be made, but that could take another year or two. But at least I should be able to help others then. :)

I was able to hang in there quite well for a while, but had to give up my COBRA insurance in November of 2006. In December I found breast cancer. I have some other serious health issues that add to the mix, but I just recently found a doctor to help with that, thank goodness. So all in all, I'm doing pretty well - but I do get quite sick and extremely tired from the chemo. I'm halfway through that now and then will have more surgery. I've had two major surgeries so far but they haven't been completely successful. And of course I haven't been able to work and even if  I could physically it certainly wouldn't be fair to a prospective employer what with not knowing when I'll be 100% again - though I'm SURE I will be - I'm beating this thing! Meanwhile, I've been looking for part time flexible hours but haven't found that yet, either.

So I could use some help. I've had a little help from family and friends, am getting about $425 in Social Security each month for my two boys (their father retired). But now my savings are gone and the credit card bills are piling up. I'm concerned I won't find work before my mortgage goes into default. I just got denied Social Security Disability (amazing, huh?).

If anyone could help with basic living expenses, even gift cards to help with basic household stuff like toilet paper, toothpaste, cat food :), shampoo, etc., it would be so appreciated. Of course, if I could get a mortgage payment ($604) or an electric bill ($220) taken care of that would give me another month's breathing room.

I am prepared to help oithers with any computer services they might need. I have all the MS Office software, can program and fix databases, write great resumes, can troubleshoot and advise on any computer problems, I can evaluate configurations if you need help deciding if a used computer is a good buy, can give basic written intructions on routine computer maintenance - basically I can do anything you need with a computer!

I hope someone can help a little and hope I can help someone else! Let me know! Thanks and may God bless you.

I’m a father of six wonderful children. Recently I have fallen on hard times. I hurt my back in the war, and when I came home they told me I couldn’t stay in because of my injuries. I had hoped they would re-train me, but because I can no longer fight I’m of no use to them. In addition, my youngest son was diagnosed with cancer and lost 85% of his liver. He’s getting better, but I continued to be emotionaly devistated for a while. During his illness and surgeries, and because of my deployments, I began to use alcohol to deal with the pain, both emotional and physical. I lost sight of what was important for a while. I got into some trouble and was reduced in rank, loosing $745.00 a month. Now they are trying to take away my disability benefits as well. I need to secure a cheaper mode of transportation before my vehicle gets repossessed. I have a VW bus I was restoring that would suffice, but I don’t have the means to fix it up now. If anybody out there could do anything to help at all, it would be greatly appreciated.

They had to put a mortgage on their home to pay for all the medical bills and medication before they were accepted for medicaid. They pay 600 a month on that plus utilities run around 500 amonth. Including, gas, garbage, electric, phone, and water. The family has been helping them out as much as we can but now we are at the point to where it is not enough anymore. This is a picture of my father-in-law. On Easter Sunday of 2007 he was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung and Bone Cancer. We have moved them in with us to try and help with their financial needs. Unprepared for this event at the age of 66, we are trying to make ends meet. We have been denied Medicaid or any other type of assistance. His medical bills are averaging $1700.00 every two weeks and we are at the point that if we cannot come up with the funds he will have to stop chemo and we can very well loose him within 3 months. I am not seeking a specific amount I just want to keep his chemo going. His wife has had a quadroupal heart bipass and is unable to work or really care for him and luckil I am in the medical field and can. I have had to give up my job to care for him and my husband is the soul provider now for a home of 4 and is also a full time student. I have come to find that applying for grants costs money too and we just cannot afford it. I never thought it would come to this but I am really needing help. Please anyone out there tha can help it would be very appreciated. The Lord will bless those that help their fellow brothers and sisters. I pray that the Lord will lead someone to help us and I am taking a step in faith that I may find them on here. I do have medical proof regarding or situation if needed. I understand there are people out there that are not honest about a situation, but we are really in desperate need of help. We are doing everything we can to make what is left of his life as comfortable as possible, but we are above our means at this point and REALLY NEED HELP!

Soldier's Family in Need of Help

Hello All,
Goodness, I'm not sure where to start. I'm a soldier in the Army, a father of six, (four girls two boys), a husband of one and a servant to many. I have been deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. While in Iraq I hurt my back. Nothing heroic, just over use. I'm a carpenter and mason, but can no longer work in this area because of my back problems. I was getting out on a medical discharge, but, (I'm ashamed to admit), got into a little bit of trouble. My son was diagnosed with cancer two years ago when he was two months old. He lost 85% of his liver, and had so many complications due to his surgeries I can barely retell because of the emotional pain. Well, I had a hard time dealing with it all and started using alcohol as a coping mechanism. He is getting better now, as am I, (though he still eats through a tube in his stomach). However, it took getting in trouble at work to get me to admit my problems. Because of that I was reduced in rank and am making $745 less now than I was last month. They may take away my disability benifits, but I'll cross that bridge later.
I need to get rid of my suburban before I get into trouble for non-payment. I have an old V.W. bus I am restoring that will accommodate our needs, but no funds to fix it up.
There is alot more that this puts us in need of. My oldest daughter needs new cloaths, they all need dental work, and I wish I could give them all just a few of their wants, but I'm strugleing just to fill their needs. I'm ashamed to do so, but it looks like I'll have to go on food stamps just to feed my family. Any help, even ten bucks for a little gas, would be gratefully received. Thank you

Help Me: Stop The Killing!

Thirty years ago, I lost my paternal grandfather to lung cancer. I never knew him. Twenty-five years ago, I lost my paternal grandmother to emphysema. I loved her very much. Twenty years ago, I lost my father to leukemia. He was my hero. Ten years ago, I lost my maternal grandmother to heart disease. She was everyone's hero. Five years ago, my maternal grandfather was diagnosed with COPD. He is the strongest person I know. A year ago, my baby brother had his first child, and we found that the baby has a genetic dysfunction called DeGeorge Syndrome. He is truly a gift to us all. What does all this have to do with you? Everything.
When I lost my grandfather to cancer, the national statistics were that one in five Americans would be diagnosed with the deadly disease. The cure was being tested by the FDA. It was widely known in Native American communities, but because the testing wasn't complete on it, it wasn't commercially available. By time it was my father's turn for the disease, the stats said that one in four Americans would be diagnosed. The cure had been approved for use by the FDA, but was not available commercially because it wouldn't make enough money. My father died because the price on his life was not high enough, and I was too young and ignorant to know how to help.
Since then, I have attended more funerals than I would care to admit. The persons of honor were aged from neonatal to geriatric. Some loved ones have passed, thankfully, due to nothing more than old age, but the majority of loved ones die from illness that could have been prevented.
According to a study done in Seattle, one vehicle driven an average of one and a half hours per day emits over seven million tons of carbon monoxide into the atmosphere. We're talking about the air we breath here! Seven million tons... and that's just the carbon monoxide. Never mind the sulfur and other gasses we are forced to breathe in for the convenience of modern society.
A major current political uproar is the was on Iraq. We have lost too many lives in a war that most of us do not understand and that some of us disagree with passionately. We send men and women to another country on the pretense of defending their nation. These brave souls have put their lives up to protect ours.
Being a born and raised military brat, I am in no way inclined to minimize the importance of the lives we lose to war. However, there is another enemy that has breached our defenses. Their method is one that is so subtle that we, as a society, have openly invited them into our homes. Their tactics ensure death more completely than any terrorists suicide bombing. The scariest thing about this enemy is that they are in position of power... right here on the very ground those men and women die to protect!
Cigarette smoking has been blamed for a myriad of medical problems plaguing the US. It has been blamed for cancer, respiratory disease, heart disease, and fetal distress just to name a few. It has been blamed for economical strain due to the medical bills, injuries and property damage/loss that has taught costly lessons. Second hand smoke has been blamed for a rise in cancer. The scare is so intense that it is forcing public establishments to shuffle the evil smoking fiends outside to corners of the world where the rest of us can pretend away their existence.
While I am, in no uncertain terms, advocating smoking, nor am I advocating its abolishment, I am here to make others aware of a larger threat to our health and economy. This threat is on the rise, pacing cancer. The instance of new smokers is falling, and yet, now, our statistical chance of being diagnosed with cancer is one in every two Americans! That is fifty percent of Americans that will be diagnosed with cancer today compared to twenty percent thirty years ago. To me, that's a scary thought considering thirty years ago, we were less aware of the health risks linked to smoking. How is it that the number one scapegoat for cancer in America is losing its allure due to all the information output about it, and yet the very diseases that it is supposed to shoulder the blame for are consistently on the rise?
All these things led me to question just that. I wanted to know what was going on. I wanted to know how to stop the rise in cancer, and how to protect myself and my family from feeling the effects of these heart-breaking diseases. With a lot of research, I found some astonishing truths that has led to a total lifestyle transformation for me and those I love.
What would you say if I told you that there is a threat to your life and the lives of your loved ones that resides in your home? What would you do if you knew that the exposure to such elements was brought in by you? Further still, what would you be willing to do if you found out that the supplier for these deadly chemicals is self governed, operating on an "honor system" of sorts with the USDA?
It's true. Chemical manufacturers are allowed to use caustic (known to cause illness or disease) and even carcinogenic (known to cause cancer) chemicals in household cleaners, toothpaste, mouthwash, flooring materials, building materials, paint and even personal care products. Indeed some caustic chemicals such as sorbitol can be found in many of the prepared foods we buy on the grocery store shelf! That's right, America. We are killing ourselves for convenience... literally. These chemical companies don't care about you or your health. All they care about is their bottom line... a bottom line, I must add, that we, as a society, are filling out quite nicely for them. They prey on our obsessions with cleanliness and the rising concern with bacteria and surface borne illness. But are we really that short sighted that we would willingly trade the week long inconvenience of the common cold for a life struggle against cancer? They think we are. They think we're trusting enough to believe that they could not sell something that is harmful to us, but they can... and worse yet, they do! They think we are so compelled by blind faith in the government that we would just say, "That can't be true. The government would never allow it." Not only does the government allow it, but WE PAY FOR IT! Yes, we pay these companies to kill us! Personally, I'd think that would be sufficient evidence to make each of us guilty of murder for hire. Similarly, it would give enough evidence to warrant investigation for cold blooded murder on the parts of these companies. They KNOW the chemicals cause illness that can and often does lead to death, and yet they use them anyways. Then, with an extra boost of bravado, they have the guts to actually market these death potions as something that will make a healthier environment. Just as they expect, we, being driven by both our compulsion to keep what society has deemed "the perfect household environment" and our misguided trust in the companies to ensure our health, pay for their service by purchasing their products. All this is done while they are slowly but surely killing us one by one.
Don't get me wrong, I am not against a clean house. Indeed, I keep a clean house and am very proud of that fact. My point is that the only reason these companies are allowed to get away with using harmful chemicals is because we allow it. We dictate to the companies what will and won't make them money. If we buy what they offer, then more power to them because they don't have to spend any of our hard earned money on revising safer, environmentally responsible products. After all, why would they when we will pay a king's ransom for the ones that cause disease? However, if we collectively refuse to use harmful chemicals in our homes, then we will force these chemical companies to either adapt or perish. Believe me, these companies are highly adaptable, and they will conform to the public outcry when it involves their bottom line. They don't want to lose your business. You are the reason they are so wealthy. So, in the end, you are the one that needs to be satisfied, and only you can change unacceptable practices which continually assault the American public.
Here's the trick, though. These companies are not required to list their ingredients on anything that is not meant for human consumption! Despite the fact that chemicals and their residues can get into your system by way of inhalation and skin absorption as well as through mucous membranes, if it's not meant to be eaten, they don't have to tell you what's in it.
Now... here's MY trick. The companies don't have to tell you what you're using or what residues you may be exposed to, but the government is very proficient, although fairly quiet, about chemical regulation. They keep tabs on all the chemicals used in all the products by all the companies of the US. Thanks to the US government and their right to information laws, we are able to look up the chemicals these companies use and get reliable information on their effects on our health.
So, where do we go from here? I'm glad you asked. First off, look up my facts. Challenge me. Click on th following PDF link and check out the chemicals in cigarettes and what other common uses there are for them: PDF - What's in a cigarette? You may be surprised how much non-smokers and smokers have in common.
Still not convinced? Check out healthychild.org by clicking the following link: Chemicals In Household Products. This will have your mind reeling for sure. Then look up the products listed there. Visit scorecard.org by clicking here: Chemical Profiles.
When you’re ready for a real change, click on es.epa.gov. This will give you more information from the Environmental Protection Agency about how to create a healthier home without costing you your annual salary.
There are environmentally responsible companies out there. Companies like Amway and Melaleuca require a membership. Some of the terms for that membership may not be favorable to you. Okay. Then check your local supermarket for an organic section or health food isle. Some stores like Kroger and Wal-Mart have sections set aside for those of us who are more health conscious. If not, then a local health food stores will have products that are comparable in both performance and price. The only thing these products lack is carcinogens and other caustic ingredients. Surf the web or contact the EPA for recommendations in your area. If all else fails, contact ME and I will help you find you the products that meet both your needs and your budget.
It is time for us to reclaim control over our bodies. It's time to tell the chemical companies that we will not populate their prisons of chemically induced biowarfare. We will not sacrifice our children at the alter of their green God. We will not support a company that has so little regard for us that they revel in our ignorance, dancing giddily on our graves while spewing lies of promised health. We can not let that happen. We're too smart for that.

Can anyone recommend any resourses?

My Mother had breast cancer 11 years ago, we thought she was in the clear, she had been having stomache problems, as it turns out the cancer has returned quite badly.  My Mother leaves in California, I live in Washington, I do have other siblings in California, however my sister has been caring for my Mom, and has now exhausted all of her vacation sick leave ect. She has a high profile job. My brother leaves in Nevada, has two small children, and is a Highway Patrolman,

My daughters are older, my job, is just a job, I work part time at, but I can not afford not to have it, we need what little income I make just to make it.

There is no money for nurses, and although they told my Mom she has about a year, they can't yet term her as terminal.  She has a feeding tube and a draining tube, she often has had problems with these, so she can't be alone.  What do I do?

Thank you anyone. I really need some help. Is there any govenment programs are anything?  That would allow me to take care of my Mom for a few months at least?

Wife has Cancer
I need help. My wife has cancer and I cant pay our bills. Please Help!!!! I have a 15 year old son who's missing out on a fun childhood because of this. Please Help!!!
Breast cancer patient

I typed I need 4,000 into Google and low and behold, this site popped up.  I am sorry to have to beg but here I am.

Three months ago, I dx'ed with breast cancer. I have just finished treatment in Fresno, California.  I think I will be okay.

Aetna my insurance is 70/30 and I have a 10,000.00 deductible.  I am being bombarded with medical bills.  I think I will survive this but am very worried about being able to pay off the medical bills.

If that isn't bad enough, my air conditioner needs replaced and the temperature will be 106 on July 4th...I am overwhelmed and just trying to figure out how to do pay for everything.

I have been able to keep working full time as a Medical Transcriptionist and am a single 49 year old with two cats and two dogs.  My brother died at the end of January (suicide) and my mother died last June (2006) of respiratory failure.  It has been a very bad year.  Annus Horriblus is the Latin term.  I feel very tired and I thought maybe I could ask for help from complete strangers as I do not have any family left.  Sad state, I know.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

I am a caring person who has a vision of someday having lots of money so that I can just give it away. There are a lot of people in need and sometimes their situation is really beyond there control and they need some help, kind a like a push start.

I So Want To Look Normal Again

Hello to everybody and thank you for reading my page.

**IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME I WILL HAPPILY PROVIDE ANY PROOF FOR YOU, OF MY CONDITION, SHOULD YOU WISH TO SEE THIS-THIS WILL BE NO PROBLEM AT ALL!**

In October 2002 I was diagnosed with Oral Cancer in the floor of my mouth. The cancer was so aggressive that I was admitted to hospital a week before Christmas to have the floor of my mouth removed, where the tumour was. It was very unusual for someone of my age to have this cancer-I had only just turned 35 and this form of tumour occurs more in people in their mid 50's and upwards.

The operation I had to save my life was major, and involved reconstructing the inside of my mouth using parts of my foream, and reconnecting nerves and my tongue. Although being very grateful to the surgeon for this life-saving operation, he did not tell me about the massive psychological impact it would have on my whole life-I didn't recognise the person in the mirror anymore. My face had changed, meaning for the last 5 years I have not been able to smile or laugh properly, without looking weird. I was not told that the swelling would not completely go down, making me look bloated all the time. And worse of all-my tongue was sewn too far back in my mouth-meaning I could never do what every other person would take for granted-kiss again.

I changed from a confident and bubbly individual into someone who is reclusive and frightened of social contact with anyone who I am not familiar with, for fear of being stared or pointed at. I have been too terrified of thinking about being close to someone physically ever again because of not being able to kiss them how I would want to.

The surgeon I have now is going to try and attempt to free my tongue, to encourage abit more movement-however he has said this will not make much difference. The other operations I want I have asked about over the past 5 years and have not got anywhere-I personally think it's because the National Health service here in the UK is overstretched and under funded. All I want is corrective surgery to my face to slim it down to how it used to be, and for an operation if there is one to correct my smile as much as possible-I cannot tell you in words how it makes me feel inside but it is an aching pain-to be able to smile and laugh again, without constantly covering my mouth and lowering my head is my dream. To be able to walk into a crowded place and hold my head up, knowing that I look relatively normal and have my confidence back. And to be able to go back to work is a major longing of mine also.

I have seen a private plastic surgeon and I am looking at a sum of at least £10,000 to have these operations. Some people may think it is just vanity and beauty is only skin deep-to those people I say. Imagine not recognising yourself anymore, and not being able to do the simplest of things facially-of having those things taken away. And it's a sad world we live in-because people DO judge you on your appearance-It's Human Nature. I hope someone can help me, no matter how small the contribution. Many Thanks.
