Myself and my grand-daughter....the other pic above is my grand-daughter...She's a month old.....

This is my son and daughter....

My daughter went to dhs to see if she could get medical and day care....and was told that she makes 200.oo to much. So I guess she is not going back to work. There should be some type of short term assistance to help those that just need a little boost. Maybe give someone 6 months get their self together then stop helping. oh ya isn't that what dhs is suppose to do......lol  I don't understand they rather her not work and depend on them. Or work and not be able to stay at her job long. This country is a**backwords......

Hi...... I'm a mother and new grandma..........I was hit by a car then ran over by a second car. My femoral artery was torn out of my leg and I lost alot of blood. It was life or limb. My back was broke in 5 places,2 ribs where broke,my pelvis and both hips were crushed,my ear was almost torn off (they saved it) and my left knee was swollen. God was with me that day. I was hit at approx. 40-50 miles per hour the second car had to be lifted off me. I woke up under the car and flipped myself over and tried to crawl out from under the car. I really wish I could find some help with physical theropy.......

Hi we are the West family my husband was in a car accident that removed him from work and haulted our primary form of income we are past due with our rent, and soon to be put out of our apartment. We have a 2year old son and we cant lose him because of this. we recently took my husband's sister and brother in our household, they were living in California and there father had a mental issue and put them out on the streets with nowhere to go. So we had to send for them to come live with us. My brother in law is eighteen years of age and my sister in law is seventeen years old. Today marks a week overdue in rent and were at a loss, we dont know what to do. I have called the local places that's supposed to help with situations like this, and their mostly out of funds for the rest of the month or taking care of other bills at the time. Weve ran out of choices and this would be our last resort, all of us are in dying need of your help please help us pay our rent. The rent is $855.00 and the first day it went up $50.00 and every day after that was $15.00. We will be absolutely grateful if an angel was sent to help us, we desperately need some help.

Thanks and God Bless

Widow and single parent needs some help for a few months.
I am a widow and the mother of a two year old little girl. I bought a house a year and a half ago and was rear-ended in an auto accident the next month. I have been in physical therapy, had an epidural and I am still on morphine. I haven't been able to work as much as I did before my accident so my income has dropped. I do web design so it's been pretty hard to sit at my computer because of my back and neck pain. I am still working, I am just not making enough money to pay my bills. I've had to take my daughter out of daycare so it's even harder for me to work when she's running around.

I need some help for the next few months until I settle my accident case or I am going to lose my house.

I also sell wind chimes and if I sold some of those that would help too. You can see my wind chimes at
www.reedsong.com They are wind chimes that are digitally tuned to the four frequendcies of DNA.

I would also like to start a new business where I live. I would appreciate any help or any suggestions.

How much more can i handle b4 i lose it?

hi I am a single female, am an artist and started a retail business with nothing and have kept it going for 6 yrs. but the past 2 have the MOST unimaginable. So many bad events I actually feel cursed. Being alone with a house and a business and trying to transform the A.D.D. artist INTO a business woman is a lot for person. My house needed LOTS of work 2 years ago and I was TOTALLY ripped off by 5 separate contractors--I intend on pressing charges but that too costs money and I need to prioritize. SINCE I knew I could not trust any worker alone in my house, and my home needed (STILL needs) normal amenities I was offered help from a friend to keep an eye on the shop while I babysat the workers.....WELLLLLL she needed babysitting as well some deposits mysteriously vanished (as well as a bank stealing from me---a WHOLE other ball of wax.. SERIOUSLY could write a book, but was done a terrible injustice and have no means to fight them)...well in the course of all this....a competition (franchised) store with much more money opened LESS than 2 miles from my store....wah wah wah.....bottom line, gas has been off since May....house at that time went into foreclosure, but I pulled a rabbit out of my hat and saved it...but NOW the workout payments are DOUBLE what they were and I was struggling with previous!...the water JUST got turned back on after a 2 week drought.... D.H.S. is LESS than helpful...I have been waiting for 3 weeks for the prior approved funds to be re-approved all by a simple piece of paper that was SUPPOSED to have been mailed to me and cannot get another-- the whole system is confusing to a non-systemer,--I JUST WANT TO CRY!!!! the system needs a SERIOUS restructure!...paid taxes since I was 16 and cannot get a straight answer and was humiliated by the 'social' workers---OH and not having a CAR (yeah U guessed it a drunk ran a red and I totaled my reliable transportation....$ paid the bank....hit and run of course too so no recourse)......ALL this while my credit is being destroyed trying to keep everyone happy and not doing that good of a job!...there is SOOO much more that has happened it is truly UNBELIEVABLE...and every time someone says....'well it can't get any worse'....IT DOES!...since the heat was off in May (didn't miss it in the summer heat and Tide has cold water wash!!!)...anyhow all of the heating funds through the assistance programs were depleted,  so no heating dollars exist because I supposedly make too much money..HA!...DTE is requesting a large deposit and reconnection fee on top of my charges which doubles the amount...It is really cold and I am really scared---pipes freezing, or ME....recently as well, my store was broken into and $ and inventory stolen...I have no one to turn to for help....I was/am soo proud of my store and know that it has a future as soon as I can get back out of this hole and afford the advertising /new merchandise(also pay the vendors that I currently owe)/ and catch up the back rent. My semi-understanding landlord, HAS served eviction papers ONLY to validate that money IS owed....ANY assistance or suggestions would be incredible as life's hole gets deeper and deeper---I DO NOT want to file bankruptcy---HONESTLY this is only a small portion of my cursedness...it is amazing I have not had a full blown meltdown!....I want to get my home finished so i have a peaceful environment and can get myself ORGANIZED, i KNOW this will help tremendously!...I THANK YOU in advance!

I ALSO HAVE NO HEALTH / DENTAL INSURANCE and NEED IT!!

Hello, I am a 31 year old woman who used to work in law enforcement in California. I was a 5 year veteran of the Sheriffs Department where I worked. I had the world by the tail!! I was happily married, had a beautiful 2 year old daughter, and a career that i loved. Then on March 18 2002 my life took an unexpected turn. I was on my way home from work that evening. It was a Tuesday evening and i was driving my brand new car that i had purchased the Friday night before. (I really did have the world by the tail!)  An inexperienced driver, a dangerous intersection, and suddenly i had a Jeep hurtling towards my drivers door at 65 miles an hour. I was at a dead stop at a stop sign, waiting for my turn to proceed through the intersection. One single act has changed my life forever more. First, i should not have survived. I should be dead. That is the strangest feeling of all...knowing that you have been given a second chance, the gift to keep moving on...Why? What for?

I have a disabling disease in my spine. I will require 10 back surgeries. My neurosurgeon is the head of neurosurgery at UCLA medical center. Dr. Larry Khoo made the diagnosis, and has told me that i should try to hang in there as long as i can before having the surgeries. I do not want my young daughter to remember me as always getting ready for or getting better from back surgery. So I deal with constant and debilitating pain in my back, hips, and neck.

I was the primary wage earner in my family and so when i became unable to work, I lost my home, my good credit, my career, everything! Eventually, my husband decided he couldn't deal with the constant presence that is there when you are suffering from chronic pain. My husband left my daughter and i to live in a rat infested home that was half remodeled. I was devastated from the divorce. I moved with my mother and father and my daughter to Oklahoma in hopes of giving my daughter Molly a better life. My social security doesn't always stretch as far as i need it to. I have found myself in a financial hole. I am paying medical bills, rent, car payment, etc. etc. I receive a paltry amount in child support that doesnt come close to raising an 8 year old girl. I went out and had to get a payday loan. Those are BAD news! You cant ever get far enough ahead to get rid of them...only getting yourself deeper in the hole. I need help! I need money to get ahead...By that i mean that if i could once and for all get back up to zero, i can pay my bills and budget to live on what i receive. HOWEVER, if you have been in this situation you know that late fees, interest payments, and the robbing Peter to pay Paul, you just keep drowning....You cant get your head above water. I just need enough to get back in the black. I can keep us out of the red with smart money management. I am good with money, that is how i have gotten along for 5 1/2 years since the accident...Please if you could find it in your hearts to help Molly and I out of our current situation. We just need to get back to zero and then we can move on. Thank you for your time and God bless you all.

to start things off a little about personal history that got me in this position.  i was in a car accident on 3/11/07. have not been able to work because of injuries from the accident.  i live with my g/f, her daughter and her mom, also my daughter.  my g/f and her daughter are disabled and her mom is retired. we have a fixed income and since my accident it has been hard to get all the bills paid.  i went to social services and got a medical card for me and my daughter and we get food stamps that dont even get all the food we need for the month.  also using an agency called food sunday that gives some food based on family size.  we have almost $2,000.00 monthly bills and we are having to choose which bills get paid and which ones get partial payment.  the one that has always gotten the short end is the car payment.  due to the accident and having poor credit, i was forced into getting a car that was not a good deal.  payments are $280.00 a month.  they had to put almost $3000.00 in repairs (used engine, alternator, temp guage, starter, and radio) at the time i had no choice in the car situation.  we are behind in payments in the amount of over $800.00 because we can only make one payment a month.  i tried to get temporary cash assistance but got turned down because my former employer didn't fill out the required paperwork that they needed.  my family doctor told me to file for disability and that is in process of waiting for doctors to return info before they proceede with decision.  i have a lawyer for the accident but it seems lke they are taking their time and the adjuster isnt offering enough for me to settle so, that is going to most likely end up i court.  i am almost at the end of the rope and dont know how to get out of the situation or how much longer it will take.  the accident has also caused extra stress on my relationship and thats almost over because of this. i feel at least we have a roof, food, a car but dont know for how much longer because they are getting ready to reposses the car because we cant make all the payments.  dont know how we are going to get the car payments caught up so we can keep the car.  things are geting to the point that i dont know what to do about the car.  any assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  once i get my settlement, i would be more than willing to help others because that was how i was raised.  i have already exhausted the family and friends of the family for support at this time and am hunbling myself to ask for assistance because it makes me depressed that i can't go out and get a job because of the injuries will not permit me to handle a normal job.  its hard to sit for more than 1 1/2 hours, walk any distances, stand for more than 2 hours, and i can not lift anything over 10 pounds.  the doctor i was seeing for the accident is not seeing me anymore and when he was, he basically asked if i needed more medications and told me i had to find a new line of work but didnt give any suggestions.  also said there was nothing wrong with me but i am still having muscle spasms and the trouble with everything else.  i need help for my family and i am opening myself up to any that i can receive.  thank you.

Heres my situation: A little over a month ago things we're going well for me,finally.I had started a small business after having to file bankruptcy last year. My small business was growing very fast quickly(and I was so proud).I was out of a 20yr abusive marriage, and making it on my own! On the way to work one morning with one of my workers I was rear ended by a freightliner. Both of us we're injured,I have 2 herniated discs, pinched nerve and torn rotator cuff. Needless to say my business requires strenuous activity, which im not capable of doing. I was down to one worker, who taking advantage of the situation, wanted all the pay from the jobs. I agreed in order to keep my clients. I am not bonded or insured and have found no one to work.SSI was suggested but since I get $500 a month in from retirement account they would only give me $50 "if" I qualify. Meantime,im 2 months behind on bankruptcy payments and working with the bankruptcy attorney. After  numerous attempts to get thier insurance company to provide medical care for us I gave up and got an attorney. When I voiced my concerns to the attorney about my bills he said,"well if you have to work, you have to work." If anyones ever been in this position you know,no matter what pain pill they give you its virtually impossible to work. The $500 I get from a retirement account is going to pay my house payment.Im lucky in that respect, year 15 on a 30yr mortgage. I know eventually i'll get lost wages, but thats not helping right now. Im almost 2 months behind on bills right now. The doctor wants to give me shots in my disc, and surgery is being discussed. Since im self employed im not sure workers comp applies(and I dont carry it). So im here on this board wondering if anyone else has been in this position and if theres any suggestions you can make?

My name is Stephanie and I am a mother of two girls.  I was in a car accident about 2 years ago, and I was unknowingly uninsured, because I was unaware that I was specifically excluded from the policy before I got my license.  Now I owe almost $16,000.00 in damages and medical bills, and I have know way of paying it.  I was able to work out a monthly payment plan, but because of me being late a few times, (because I simply did not have the money) they are sending my account to legal review and they want the amount in full.  Now I am sure that there are a lot of people out there like me that simply do not have that kind of money.  My husband and I just recently bought a house, because we got on the first time home buyers program which requires no money down, our mortgage payments are $1,200.00 a month, now that plus electricity, water and garbage, phone and other necessities, it leaves little left for anything but the basics.  I have broken down in tears a few times because I honestly don't know what is going to happen.  Our credit is not that great, so I know we wouldn't qualify for any loans, especially loans of that size.  I am at a loss of what to do, I just need some kind of help.

Hello,

My husband and I are 23 and 24 years old.  January 10 of this year, he was in a very bad car accident.  He blacked out at the wheel driving home from work, crossed the median on the freeway, and his a semi head on.  Neurologists still can't find what happened, and are calling it simply passing out at the wrong time.  His car was totaled, and he was sent to the emergency.  Praise God he is alive and doing well!  His knee, however, was the problem.  It was jammed and smashed into the car, which shredded all of his tendons.  He had knee surgery done about 3 weeks later.  It was the first time this surgery was performed in our county.  Now that it is complete, we've received many bills that exceed our insurance coverage.  The total is aproximately $35,000.  This is a huge amount, and we aren't sure what to do, but pay what we can.  He's not able to work full time right now, as he is just beginning to walk on crutches, and can't go long without extreme pain.  We were looking forward to buying a new home and starting a family, but now we are defiantely set back and could use some help.  We thank God every day that he's alive, and that we can work, and we are praying for a financial miracle.
