The Person:
I'm not really sure what to put here. I guess, well, I should start by saying I'm a young 22 year old. I grew up with next to nothing, but I had a wonderful mother who loved her children enough to raise them right. I'm thankful for all of the things God has given me in life and I always hope for the best in situations. I'm loyal, caring, and honest. I'm not really a typical 22 year old. Most of my life is spent working, trying to pay the bills, and worrying about my hubby who is in the army. If I ever get any free time, I like to spend it reading a book or playing a video game. I also enjoy anime and roleplaying games. My second job is working for the local video game store. It would be my dream job, if only it paid more than minimum wage! I  guess you could say I was pretty nerdy! But I'm proud of who I am. A lot of people tell me I don't look like the type that would be into all of those things, but I assure you, I'm a legitimate dork.
I look forward to meeting others who have similar interest. I do not judge, as I do not like to be judged. I accept everyone. I hope others will accept me.

The Problem:
As far as my situation, as I've stated before I've been having a rough time keeping up with the bills due to my man being gone. I've got a 14,000 dollar loan which needs to be paid back and money has just been really tight since he left. I'm not asking for someone to pay the loan for me, but I am asking for a little help....Donations in any amount. I realize that's a lot to ask since it isn't easy to trust people, especially people online, these days. I figured I would try anyway and hope that there are people out there generous and caring enough to help, as I would do for someone in need. If you can help me, feel free to message me (or even if you would just like to talk and be friends!).

I've got a donation bin set up on paypal at the moment, and my email address is a confirmed one for anyone thinking I'm trying to scam someone out of money. I'm not. If you'd like to make a donation, my e-mail on paypal is ami_nugent@yahoo.com. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help or with advice!

For Others:
For those seeking money themselves. I haven't had much luck with this, but there is a website that will pay you .02 to just read advertisements online. This can be a lengthy and tedious project (one I don't particularly have time for, since I work), but it may help someone who's looking to make a little extra pocket change or something. Like I said, I haven't had luck... but for anyone who is maybe paralyzed or has the free time, it could help slightly.

For those who need help with prescriptions. There is a wonderful site that offers 3-month supplies of (mostly generic) common presciptions for costs as low as 20 dollars, up to $40. It does ask that you meet the criteria for the program (information about that is on the website). This has been great for my "controlled substance" medications in the past. No tax forms are required and the application is very simple and straight-forward.

Looking for free stuff?? Try craigslist in your state. You can find lots of helpful stuff here. From free items, to trade/barter, and employment. It's a very useful tool.

Though I am unable to give out money currently, I would love to help others in any way I can. If you need someone to talk to, advice, a friend. I'd love to donate clothing and other items to families in need. I've done the "Goodwill" thing before, but I always had an issue with donating my stuff to a company which profits from it! I would rather know that my items are going to someone who truly needs it, who doesn't have to pay. Not that Goodwill is a bad thing, I would just rather help an individual rather than a corperation.

Specially Adapted Housing for Disabled Veterans

I am looking for grant funding to make my dad's home handicapped accessible.  My dad is a disabled veteran

Need fast financial assistance for family

We just recently moved from Iowa to Oregon to escape poverty due to the economy.  I am a disabled veteran and my wife is a stay-at-home mom who can't get work due to that fact, she's not worked in a while trying to take care of our children while I was in the military.  I'm now employed but not making quite enough just yet to cover past bills from Iowa.  We need a miracle, like $15,000.00 to get us out of the hole before our bank forecloses on our home (for sale) and we lose everything.  We've been paying, but not enough to catch up.  We also used to own a business and suffered losses due to bounced checks, etc. and that didn't help, either.  We don't want to be out on the street when we're on the right path.  $15,000.00 would get the bank off our backs for both the house and the business debt owed to the banks.  Please help!  We need assistance before 11/31/06

Disable Veteran could use some money.

I could use some money to help me fix up my house. It is in need of some repairs. The foundation is cracked and needs leveling. I was told that this would cost over $10,000.. Also I would have to put gutters up around my house before they would give me a garantee, no telling what that would cost. My house needs new windows, I guees becuase of the foundation moving. My electric bill was sky high this last time. this house is 21 years old must need to be insulated better. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I can uderstand If you can't help, its a lot to ask for.

Thanks Bob

I am: Veteran, a senior citizen, minority, female, part Indian, displaced and disabled.

I have been on Soc. Sec. Disability for the past 5 years.  I have lost everything that I owned, except for some personal household things.  I used to own my own home.  But with being sick for years and it effecting my income, I no longer own any property and lost my nice car.

I presently live in the Los Angeles area, where the medium value of a home is $500,000.  It is impossible for people like myself to ever think of owning a home, -or- to rent a nice apartment for that matter.  My income is WELL under $1000 a month.

I would love nothing more than to own my own home again.  I am on the Sec. 8 program here in L.A., but the program is frozen.  And many of the properties offered under this program for renting or buying are in bad condition and in the worst parts of town.  What I would like is assistance in rental or mortgage payments, as well as money for down payment, if that is called for in a purchase.

If you are not able to help me, maybe you can point me in the right direction.  Any help you can offer would be much appreciated!

Thank You, Barb Wagner

I am a 100% disabled veteran. I am not able to work and my student loans have gone into default.  They have just dropped from my credit report, and I have been told not to make a payment, because that will put it back on my credit report.

I was going to buy a place to live and stop paying rent using my VA Home Loan, but they say I cant use that untill I pay off my student loans. If I bought, insted of rent, I would save $200 a month and could start paying on the stundent loans.

Any advice will help.

First of all they CANNOT take your SSD - NOR can they THREATEN To take it either! What they are doing is ILLEGAL. I don't care if they are from the VA or Timbuktu - you have rights. The next time they try that crap take their name, number and any other info you can get and call the state atty general and blow them in. You are protected BY LAW not only as a VET, but also as a citizen, and you are covered by the Social Security Act, the Fair debt collection practice act (FDCPA) and Mental Health laws. I am including some links for organizations that may help advocate for you.

There are a number of people like myself that have no one on this earth to turn to.  Due to the willful ignorance of those who could help!  I did everything that we're told to do to be succesfull in America. I finished high school and joined the Army.  Served my country honorably, and saved a soldier's life!  After the incident of having to save my superiors life it changed me, and not for the better.  To make a long story very short.  I'm a father of 11 all of my children are born of my wife.  I am in need of financial assistance to one get my buisness back that I loss due to my illness. And two to start a wellness center.  The only thing that's keeping me from totally going mad is my faith in my GOD!!  I know that somewhere out there is someone of the same mindset and they're willing to help me!!  I've worked hard all of my life, and I don't like to depend on anyone!! So here I am asking in the dark, knowing that GOD will send me somebody to help!! I know not what tomorrow holds, but I know who holds my hand.  So whatever comes I will be alright!!  One conversation with me and you will know that I'm not like some who are playing games and trying to scam people!!  One second of your time to hear what I have to say and that's all I ask. Thank you very much
Comment: Don't pay any money to those...

Don't pay any money to those websites that claim you can make money by working at home. Most of them are scams.
