This page has been created to help raise money to aid in my daughter Allanas treatment and recovery. Accepting donations thru paypal, check or in any other form....Please help...Contact me and help us put up a fight for our daughter!!

In December of 2004 my daughter was diagnosed with a rare condition called Severe Idiopathic Infantile Scoliosis. Now Scoliosis can be somewhat common in adolescent children but is very rare in children under 3. As a fact of matter less then 1-2% of children under the age of 3 in the world will ever get this and less then 10% of those children will ever need treatment, my daughters condition is considered so rare because her spine developed below her left shoulderblade and has deformed her ribcage due to the bend in her back, possibly causing problems with things like her breathing and putting pressure on her heart. Even if we get her spine straightnened, she very well will still need rib replacement surgery.

This condition is treatable and she will go on to hopefully lead a somewhat normal life, but currently requires surgery every 6 weeks and she will need therapy and bracing probably until she is 14 and has stopped developing and will probably need some sort of treatment for the rest of her life.

Shriners childrens hospital in Portland Oregon has been a god send and is taking care of surgery and medical needs by donation for us after our insurance company dropped us with no warning and has been everything to us. But we are experiencing other expenses we cannot afford. We have to drive a thousand miles round trip every 6 weeks for her surgeries and they do not pay for things like hotel. Also we have had to continously buy new clothes to fit her in her casts and special shoes due to her delayed walking, car seats to transport her in, Pediasure to boost her weight (risser casts can be hard on little bodies, destroying up to 10% of her muscles)and various other things included other medical visits outside of Shriners that we have to keep. Me and my husband both work, but with 2 children and bills, it seems impossible to keep up.

We are desperate for any kind of assistance or help, would be greatly appreciated, and smiled upon by our daughter. Please help us at the shot we might be able to give her a somewhat normal life with the help of kind souls. I love everyone for there help, if even just reading this has brought a little attention to other people with this disorder.

Please contact me with any info, questions or donations or even just to see more pictures of my little Allana!!

The Person:
I'm not really sure what to put here. I guess, well, I should start by saying I'm a young 22 year old. I grew up with next to nothing, but I had a wonderful mother who loved her children enough to raise them right. I'm thankful for all of the things God has given me in life and I always hope for the best in situations. I'm loyal, caring, and honest. I'm not really a typical 22 year old. Most of my life is spent working, trying to pay the bills, and worrying about my hubby who is in the army. If I ever get any free time, I like to spend it reading a book or playing a video game. I also enjoy anime and roleplaying games. My second job is working for the local video game store. It would be my dream job, if only it paid more than minimum wage! I  guess you could say I was pretty nerdy! But I'm proud of who I am. A lot of people tell me I don't look like the type that would be into all of those things, but I assure you, I'm a legitimate dork.
I look forward to meeting others who have similar interest. I do not judge, as I do not like to be judged. I accept everyone. I hope others will accept me.

The Problem:
As far as my situation, as I've stated before I've been having a rough time keeping up with the bills due to my man being gone. I've got a 14,000 dollar loan which needs to be paid back and money has just been really tight since he left. I'm not asking for someone to pay the loan for me, but I am asking for a little help....Donations in any amount. I realize that's a lot to ask since it isn't easy to trust people, especially people online, these days. I figured I would try anyway and hope that there are people out there generous and caring enough to help, as I would do for someone in need. If you can help me, feel free to message me (or even if you would just like to talk and be friends!).

I've got a donation bin set up on paypal at the moment, and my email address is a confirmed one for anyone thinking I'm trying to scam someone out of money. I'm not. If you'd like to make a donation, my e-mail on paypal is ami_nugent@yahoo.com. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help or with advice!

For Others:
For those seeking money themselves. I haven't had much luck with this, but there is a website that will pay you .02 to just read advertisements online. This can be a lengthy and tedious project (one I don't particularly have time for, since I work), but it may help someone who's looking to make a little extra pocket change or something. Like I said, I haven't had luck... but for anyone who is maybe paralyzed or has the free time, it could help slightly.

For those who need help with prescriptions. There is a wonderful site that offers 3-month supplies of (mostly generic) common presciptions for costs as low as 20 dollars, up to $40. It does ask that you meet the criteria for the program (information about that is on the website). This has been great for my "controlled substance" medications in the past. No tax forms are required and the application is very simple and straight-forward.

Looking for free stuff?? Try craigslist in your state. You can find lots of helpful stuff here. From free items, to trade/barter, and employment. It's a very useful tool.

Though I am unable to give out money currently, I would love to help others in any way I can. If you need someone to talk to, advice, a friend. I'd love to donate clothing and other items to families in need. I've done the "Goodwill" thing before, but I always had an issue with donating my stuff to a company which profits from it! I would rather know that my items are going to someone who truly needs it, who doesn't have to pay. Not that Goodwill is a bad thing, I would just rather help an individual rather than a corperation.

Last year, we posted this plea for help:

"We really need your help!  We are in serious dire straits!!  We are being evicted from our apartment and have no place to go!  We are 4, going on 5 months behind in rent, our power is getting cut off on Wednesday, and I will lose this internet connection on Tuesday!  I'm running out of groceries, and my kids need clothes and supplies for school which starts on Aug. 20th.  In spite of my efforts to secure a full-time job, it's just not enough.  Please help us!!! Somebody, please!"

Though there was no influx of money or someone offering us a place to rent for less than what we were paying, or offering to help us with a couple of bills, we still maintained our faith in God that He will see us through all of our trials and life situations.  We are happy to post this testimony that God is there and that since this time, we have secured a new place to live (however temporary), we both secured good-paying jobs and are managing, though tightly to make it one day at a time.  We do, at every chance that we can, help people who are in need.  We don't have 100s or 1000s or millions to assist, believe me, if we did, we'd share it!  Sometimes the greatest help comes in the form of testimony of God's awesome miracles!  I know this doesn't seem like much to some, but it has meant the world to us.  Keep your faith!  BELIEVE!!!!  Take a deep breath, exhale slowly and go to bed knowing you have done all you can do for that day, and start fresh in the morning.  God Bless and Good Luck!  and please share your stories!

Still in need of help!  Dealing with Financial troubles badly!  our home is in forclosure and were about to lose everything!  Can't believe that I have been looking for help since Last year to keep from getting this way, and nothing but scammer after scammer gets in touch with me!  there doesn't seem to be anyone out there anymore that has a soul that would or even could help anyone that is having trouble anymore.  been working on getting things caught up but still falling behind with everrything going up all the time.  just about can live or raise a family!  want has this world gotten too.  it's a shame!  I pray all the time that things get better and so far nothing is working right for me.  I have faith and my heart keeps telling me that things are going to get better, but I hope I'm not trying to raise a family in the streets by the time that this would come true.  God Bless all of US!

GCP

Executive Director
Global Civic Preservation
Marietta, Georgia, USA
Languages: English

Global Civic Preservation Inc. (GCP), a non-profit organization founded on civic, social and economic principles, concentrates with tenacity on the identification and resolution of twenty-first century youth development, social matters, economic imbalances and challenges as they affect our local and global society.

The organization operates in two sectors (Local Youth Development and Global Missions).  The Local Youth Development Program was developed from experience and interaction with local youth, statistical analysis, observation, research and surveys completed on Metro-Atlanta and local youth.  Global Civic Preservation is concentrated on empowering, educating, challenging and motivating Metro-Atlanta youth through various activities, programs and events while demonstrating and educating on civic responsibility both locally and globally. GCP is working in collaboration with the local school systems, local authorities, government, community, organizations and corporations fulfil the vision and mission. The derivative of this program was launched from the alarming rate of local high school drop-outs, drug trafficking and usage, domestic crime among youth, pessimistic influence, lack of structure and guidance and various problems within our homes and communities.   Several programs and services within each sector will be utilized as a resource and a method of development for the other. These two sectors of the organization create opportunity for the other and will provide insight on civic responsibility while promoting cohesiveness and unity for a common goal of individual wellness and a brighter global economic future.

The Global Missions sector of the organization is sanctioned to research and develop programs and services to facilitate global empowerment to those that are in economically oppressed areas of West Africa.  More specifically Global Missions will aid in the economic development of Ghana, West Africa where economic imbalance and challenges can be easily recognized as economic oppression, poverty, malnutrition, starvation, social and academic deprivation, lack of development and progression from a civil and economic perspective.

Global Civic Preservation (Global Missions) has developed an intervention initiative to address these major concerns.  Through intervention GCP will help eliminate the perpetuating cycle of economic oppression, helplessness and global poverty, while empowering individuals with knowledge, education and employable skills.  The agenda set forth is to preserve our global society by consistently and diligently collaborating with local and foreign governments, The United Nations, corporations, businesses, educational institutions, faith-based and other non-profit organizations and individuals to provide resources and services to establish and maintain structured programs and opportunities to empower those in our society that aren’t awarded these opportunities due to economic oppression and challenges.

Global Civic Preservation’s initiative is to invest in citizens, communities (both urban and rural), regions and nations by empowering with knowledge, employable skills and opportunities while alleviating the rate of oppression, poverty, famine, unsanitary conditions and epidemic diseases.   This initiative also incorporates both local and foreign community involvement, affiliations and alliances with educational institutions, faith-based and other non-profit organizations to facilitate the organization’s vision.
As a non-profit organization, obtaining a permanent place in the civil / social economic development sector is our primary goal.  We wish to acquire international renown within the next few years. We see it as our main mission to provide high quality service to the targeted markets. Our basic objectives are reflected in our programs, services and work ethic, which is to contribute to the enrichment of the quality of lives for people globally.

The local region of Ghana, West Africa has seen a significant amount of economic oppression to include, homelessness, malnutrition, starvation, disease, social and academic deprivation that requires the attention, dedication and tenacity of a non-profit organization such as Global Civic Preservation.  The ongoing and overwhelming concern expressed by residents, government, organizations and the United Nations has stimulated GCP to assist in the economic, social, civic and academic efforts in the Ghana vicinity.

The government in Ghana, West Africa has initiated an agenda to improve education, infrastructure, health services and community development and Global Civic Preservation’s commitment, dedication and expertise in these areas is aptly suited to provide assistance and guidance in these affairs.

GCP in it’s effort to reform, develop and revitalize communities, cities and villages in the Ghana region, has a requirement  to receive and administer funds for educational, social, developmental and research purposes; and to that end take and hold by bequest, devise, gift, purchase or lease, either absolutely or in trust, for such objects and purposes or any of them, any property, real, personal or mixed without limitation as to amount or value except such limitation, if any, as may be imposed by law.

GCP is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable, educational and civil / social purposes, including, for such purposes the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501c(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. In furtherance of these purposes, the purpose of GCP shall be to:

  •  Stimulate major voluntary financial support from friends, corporations, foundations, and others for the sole benefit of empowering other individuals and communities globally.
  • GCP shall be responsible for the identification of potential donors, nurturing relationships, solicitation of gifts of cash, securities, real and intellectual property, and other forms of direct support; and the acknowledgement of gifts and all ongoing responsibilities related to such gifts.
  • GCP shall receive, invest and administer funds, subject to such restrictions as have been imposed by the donor thereof on the use of the principal and income of such funds.
  • Conduct such other activities and/or business for all other purposes that may be lawfully carried on or performed by a corporation formed under the Non-Profit Corporation Law of Georgia.

Our organization is currently seeking funding and sponsorship to fulfill our mission, objectives and aims for youth development, empowerment and individual wellness both locally and internationally.

in december i heard about aidpage.com. i was living with my brother at the time ( 19 and 18 years old), but because of winter both our hours at our jobs were cut in half. we were making it but barely. so i decided to nievely post my situation on aidpage. a few days later i was contacted by a pastor who never got back to me, and a man named Sean Yanti. he explained his backround and hard life growing up, and he said he had been through what i was going through now, but now God has blessed him and he would like to bless others. he sent me a check for $4000, but i was to take $500 for myself, and wire the rest through western union to another "very needy" person. seeing as he was not asking me to send my money  but his, i thought nothing was wrong, so i did. i cashed the check through my bank and sent the $3500 off. he then told me he was sending another check to help me, but he wanted me to take out a small amount and send the rest. i asked why he didnt send the money himself to her, but he said it was not on his level and he would if he could and he was very sorry. once again i thought ok its his money. before i got the 2nd check, my bank called me telling me it was a fake check and i would have to pay the bank the $4000 back. i told sean this still thinking he was a good man and it was a mistake; he said to cash the second check and use it for my bank. b4 i did though i called the bank the 2nd check was from, for $4000 also, and it was fake. i didnt hear from him again. i know your thinkng how niave and stupid i must be, but i am only 19 years old and didnt know. i thought if he asked me to send my money that was fraud, but it was his. because of this, i have been unable to pay any bills including rent, so i have been evicted out of my home and no place wll rent to me, my car was taken away because i could not make payments,my phone was turned off, and i have been fired from my job because i have been unable to get there. i am pregnant and have no resources, i am unable to get a loan because this really screwed up my credit. this man really messed me up. anyway his name is Sean Yanti, and he has broken english.

so now i have no home, no car, no job, nothing. i am in major debt and i just keep falling. i am asking for some help -  i am 5 months pregnant and now no one will hire me  becuase of training and then i will have to leave after the baby is born. i can slowly repay what is given, but i just need to get back on my feet, find a place to live for me and the baby and a car.

I got started doing grantwriting...

I got started doing grantwriting work when I was looking for resources to help my mother and other family members. I was quite surprised at the number of programs that were available - some of them requiring no more than filling out a few forms. As I started to work from home other people starting asking me about how they could work from home and that began my consulting business. There were lots of "stories" about grants so I decided to find out for myself what the truth was and the truth was (and still is) that there are grant programs out there for just about any endeavor whether it be for-profit or non-profit! I have gotten many individual grants for others so I know that the programs are out there. So then one day someone called me a scam and that let me know right there that I had chosen the right career! People want the information but they don't want to take the time and effort to find it and that is just what they are going to have to do if they want to apply for these grant programs. I really couldn't be objective on the courses because I took my own route as far as the grantwriting is concerned. Nothing is more better than actual experience and actual results. Every individual has a different story/circumstance and truly you will have to decide for yourself.

Single Mom w/ $$$$$ Stresses

I am a single parent of a fabulous 6 year old daughter.  Her father is a dead beat - even though he is in the military - and I am stressing out!  I make a decent income, but with mortgage payments, a car that is falling apart (it is in the shop again for the 5th time this month), credit card bills, medical bills, insurance payments, gas, montly utilities, I am barely making it each month.  I'm not looking for something with nothing in return.   I just need some help to finally feel like I can actually put something away.  I still owe $7000 on my car and its 4 years old.  Not that that is old - but it is falling apart.  And my poor daughter - every time we go to the grocery store says "Mommy, do you have enough $ to buy that?  Cause I don't really need that yogurt or cookies or grapes, etc?"  Do you know how horrible that makes me feel???  I just want to feel ok and go to sleep one night knowing that all the bills are paid and I can at least not worry for one day.  Anyone willing to help - please contact me at kwiz0628@comcast.net.

Non-Profit Hunger Initiative Seeking Funds to Provide Chemical-Free Organic Foods to the Needy

Recently-established tax-exempt charitable organization seeks funding to holistically address hunger and health problems.

Description and Mission:

The Legacy Health Foundation is a progressive health and hunger initiative that strives to combat hunger in a new way -- holistically addressing the growing interrelated problems of hunger, malnutrition, and chronic illness. We believe that feeding the hungry alone is only a short-term solution.

Food products typically provided by hunger organizations that serve the needy, due to cost constraints, are often inexpensive, contain many toxic additives, and have little nutritional value.  Many people are unaware of the multitude of harmful chemicals present in our food supply, and the significant negative impact they can have on human health.  When individuals are contaminated with toxins that can trigger disease, and are weak, malnourished, and unable to fight disease due to the lack of nutrients present in most foods, it can become very difficult to recover or maintain a state of good health and function as productive members of society.

For this reason, our goal is to promote awareness and avoidance of disease-causing toxins in our food and environment, and to provide healthier choices for those who need it the most and are typically the least able to afford it, including access to organic chemical-free foods and natural healing products and services.

The need for the types of products and services that the Legacy Health Foundation uniquely provides is great, and continues to grow.  Therefore, your tax-deductible donation is critical to helping us accomplish our mission, and is greatly appreciated!  You can also purchase natural health treatments and other products on our web site, and all of the profits will go directly to helping the needy through one of our programs.  Please visit our web site to learn more about our mission and how you can help at http://www.legacyhealthfoundation.org

Hi people,

My name is Wanda and i am a single mother of two. My oldest is my son Casey who is 22, my youngest is my daughter Sarah and she is 11. For the longest time i would sit around and watch the children in the apartment complex where we live just wander around at all hours of the day and night during summer time and even during the school year. For awhile i watched with such a tug on my heart to do something to stop the fighting amongst the children and to somehow touch their lives so they could see that someone really cared and loved them. So i started "littlest lamb ministries". What we do is during the summer months we get together in the complex with the kids and we do arts and crafts and have fun days and picnics and just fun activities that bring the different children that just happen to live all in the same complex together. We cross over race, age and poverty levels to try and touch the hearts of these kids. But it is always such a hard task getting people in the area to donate arts and crafts products or money or food or anything for that fact. So i'm reaching out through the use of my computer hoping to touch others who have a heart for the children BUT don't necessarily have the time to make a difference but maybe do have funds that they could sow into this ministry which in turn sows into each child. So God is giving you a chance to make a difference in one way or another..If you can donate arts and crafts items that would be great..money can always be used and know that you will be helping to show a child someone really does care.

I am a 34 year old single Mom of a beautiful girl. Three years ago my 54 year old mother began the fight of her life. A simple surgery had gone bad and she almost died of sepcic. A perferation in her bowel. She spent 3 months in Intensive care and weighed 64lbs. She had to endure a painful journey with a colostomy bag. My mother was an angle. We were best friends. I watched her suffer horribly and that was just her horrible beginning. When her 6th surgery finally reversed her colostomy bag she was diagnose with stage 3 ovarian cancer. She fought like a warrior for 18mths. Chemo they said cured her. They missed a tumor in her back that would eventually kill her. She was my world and as she lye dieing, I was thrown another blow. I had lymes disease. I felt horrible and attributed it to depression. I quit my job of 8 years as a dental assistant to stay home and care for my mom and daughter. My ex accused me of being on drugs because i felt and looked horrible. Lost weight, couldnt get up in the mornings, couldnt think or make decisions. He took me thru a hell beyond hell. He kinapped our daughter and proceeded to rage a 3 month custody battle that my mother, daughter and self just didnt need. i spent the last few months of moms life in court, without my child and my mom died asking if Reanna was home yet. Sadly my gift from her from heaven ,the very day after she died, was the return of my daughter. My ex seemingly was playing a sick, vengeful game. He hurt my daughter, self and mother so much. Thankfully I regained full custody but the last 8 mnths i have lost everything. I am homeless living with my sis who isnt friendly to my daughter and so judgemental of me. People believe i should be over it. I am taking the steps to move forward but there small. I feel better and KNOW ILL BE OK. I want to show everyone that adversity can build mountains and thru this I will be a mother that has instilled values and morales in my daughter and person who is kind, generous, and giving even though so many people have blown my mind with judgment and assumptions. Alittle help to get started is all i need. If i could find a place to rent and skip the security or work to improve the apartment in exchange for a month free. Anything would help. Thank You and To all who struggle...... FULL STEAM AHEAD!!!!

Hi, I am the mother of three kids and I have one child that went to Heaven last year 11/25/2006. That is the worst thing that ever happened to me in my life. I would have rather been living on the streets with nothing than to lose my babyboy. He was born chronically ill. He had a kidney transplant 03/28/2006 and passed 11/25/2006. My situation now is not too good. I am working a part-time job, 24 hours a week. I don't know how I am going to get Christmas presents this year. I am also behind on my rent and my vehicle has been broke down since this summer. I NEED HELP!!! If you would like to find out more information about my babyboy, you can visit caringbridge.org and ENTER: larryjr

I am a young fit 38 year old women looking for assistance in starting an Alpaca Ranch. I am in need of a cash gift of $100,000.00. I have found the perfect ranch equipped with most of the stalls and fencing and adequate space. I will be financing this ranch. I have half of the down payment and some of the start up cost, of which is my own money. In order to finalize and make this dream happen I am in need of financial assistance. In closing, in order to start this very prosperous business, of which not only will this ranch produce a very good income through breeding, selling fleece and showing. In fact, this will also allow me to do what I love and that is work with and care for animals. In addition, escape the stress of the big city, work outdoors and provide for my family. Sincerely, Shaunna

I am a mother of a 2 year old son.  My husband and I try very hard to make a home for our family.  He lost his job the day after Christmas and has had trouble finding another one.  I have picked up some contract work, and am now working two contract jobs in addition to my full time job.  I was diagnosed 2 years go with multiple sclerosis, so the extra work is not an easy task.

Anyway, we got behind one month on our house payment and have been unable to catch up.  Our bank is demanding two months (the behind month plus this month) payment within 48 hours.  I don't have it and don't know what to do.
