I am an exceptionally hard working clinical psychology doctoral student.  Asside from classes, studying, and working on my dissertation, I spend a great deal of my time volunteering in the community (domestic violence shelters, various children's charities, and an organization that helps adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses become active members of the community).  I am beyond financially stressed right now, my school made a huge error with my financial aid, and while I've managed to get the financial aid office to fix the problem... I won't see the financial benefit of that until my next disbursement in January.  By that time I will have been evicted from my apartment.  I am working 3 part-time jobs on top of going to school and am trying my best to fix this problem.... but I feel like I am drowning and I don't know what else to do.  If there is anyone who can help me... please, I would be eternally greatful!

Well I have found some relief and now just need help getting my rent current. I only need $500.00 now and sure hope I can get it by Friday. I have to pay the rent then and have come up with half on my own and found someone to help with the electric. If anyone out there can help me I would appreciate it.

in december i heard about aidpage.com. i was living with my brother at the time ( 19 and 18 years old), but because of winter both our hours at our jobs were cut in half. we were making it but barely. so i decided to nievely post my situation on aidpage. a few days later i was contacted by a pastor who never got back to me, and a man named Sean Yanti. he explained his backround and hard life growing up, and he said he had been through what i was going through now, but now God has blessed him and he would like to bless others. he sent me a check for $4000, but i was to take $500 for myself, and wire the rest through western union to another "very needy" person. seeing as he was not asking me to send my money  but his, i thought nothing was wrong, so i did. i cashed the check through my bank and sent the $3500 off. he then told me he was sending another check to help me, but he wanted me to take out a small amount and send the rest. i asked why he didnt send the money himself to her, but he said it was not on his level and he would if he could and he was very sorry. once again i thought ok its his money. before i got the 2nd check, my bank called me telling me it was a fake check and i would have to pay the bank the $4000 back. i told sean this still thinking he was a good man and it was a mistake; he said to cash the second check and use it for my bank. b4 i did though i called the bank the 2nd check was from, for $4000 also, and it was fake. i didnt hear from him again. i know your thinkng how niave and stupid i must be, but i am only 19 years old and didnt know. i thought if he asked me to send my money that was fraud, but it was his. because of this, i have been unable to pay any bills including rent, so i have been evicted out of my home and no place wll rent to me, my car was taken away because i could not make payments,my phone was turned off, and i have been fired from my job because i have been unable to get there. i am pregnant and have no resources, i am unable to get a loan because this really screwed up my credit. this man really messed me up. anyway his name is Sean Yanti, and he has broken english.

so now i have no home, no car, no job, nothing. i am in major debt and i just keep falling. i am asking for some help -  i am 5 months pregnant and now no one will hire me  becuase of training and then i will have to leave after the baby is born. i can slowly repay what is given, but i just need to get back on my feet, find a place to live for me and the baby and a car.

Student desperately seeking help!!!

I am a 3rd year clinical psychology doctoral student specializing in children and adolescents.  I am 6 months away from starting my internship and actually making some money, and I am petrified I am not going to make it to that point because I won't have a apartment.  My school screwed up my financial aid at the beginning of this academic year.  The school increased tuition and never increased the cost of attendence budget, therefore part of the financial aid I receive that should have gone toward housing/food/utilities, etc. went toward tuition and I received $2500 in September to cover ALL of my bills through the end of December.  So I have been unable to pay November's rent and now December's rent is also due.  I received an eviction notice the day before Thanksgiving and I just don't know what else to do.

I am doing everything I can to straighten out this financial mess.  I am working 3 part-time jobs (totaling 30 hours a week) on top of classes and the 20hrs a week I work (unpaid)doing therapy with severely emotionally disturbed foster care kids.  But this is not enough to make up the difference of the $4,000 that went to tuition instead of my living expenses.  I harassed the school to fix the financial aid problem, and after weeks of begging and pleading it was finally fixed, but it won't help financially until next semester when I get my next disbursement (Jan.).  So the problem is not that I don't have any money, it's that I don't have any money right now.  All I need is for someone to cosign an alternative student loan (for $4,000)so that I can pay my past due rent, and my rent and bills through the end of December and maybe even fly home to see my family (It's been over a year since I've seen them). Between my jobs, and financial aid disbursements in January and May, I would be able to pay off the alternative student loan by May.

My family is unable to help me financially (I am the first to attend college, and god willing, will be the first Dr. in the family) and my hope is that once I graduate and become licensed, I will be able to help them.  I am a good person, I work hard, and my entire purpose in pursuing my doctorate in clinical psychology is to be able to help children who have had the deck stacked against them so early in life (i.e., abused, neglected, behavioral disorders, autistic disorders, etc.), and now that I have had the opportunity to work with foster care children my long term goal is to start a private foundation to overhaul the foster care system.  Because from what I've seen thus far, once children go into the foster care system their chances of being happy, "normal" kids decreases dramatically.

Please, if there is any way someone could possibly help me I would be forever greatful.  Achieving my doctorate in psychology has been my dream for so long and I can't bear the thought that it might all fall apart when I'm so close...

Hiya all.

Well, how do I introduce myself?

First of, I'm nobody and everyone...meaning I do not have a familiare name or face, but I have lived for a few years now, and during I have battled most fancy twitches and turns life has to offer.
On the basis of that, I like to think of myself as one that might lend advices and support to others fighting the same battles I have fought (and won)!

Most important to remember for all, no matter what the struggle is about; there's almost always a solution out there.

Looking forward to getting to know new folks...  ;o)

Hi, I am the mother of three kids and I have one child that went to Heaven last year 11/25/2006. That is the worst thing that ever happened to me in my life. I would have rather been living on the streets with nothing than to lose my babyboy. He was born chronically ill. He had a kidney transplant 03/28/2006 and passed 11/25/2006. My situation now is not too good. I am working a part-time job, 24 hours a week. I don't know how I am going to get Christmas presents this year. I am also behind on my rent and my vehicle has been broke down since this summer. I NEED HELP!!! If you would like to find out more information about my babyboy, you can visit caringbridge.org and ENTER: larryjr

single mother of 4 being evicted

I'm a single mother of 4 children living in the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio.  I am being evicted within a week and have no place to go or money for something temporary.  The kids' father refuses to pay child-support because he did not give me "permission" to leave the abusive relationship.   I need $1,500 to stop the eviction process to be paid in full.  I have income coming in but it's simply too little too late.  I am offering reimbursement after my tax return arrives.  I need a miracle.  Thank you!

I am so tired. I have had such a horrible life, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I am 34 but I feel like I'm 94. I have been on Social Security Disability. I suffer from Major Depression, General Anxiety Disorder, Diabetes, Hypothyroidism, Anemia, Sleep Apnea, High Cholesterol, Diabetes Retinopathy, Infertility and Advance Periodontal disease. I had a stroke a year ago, the side effects are some stiffness in my thigh and short term memory loss. I've been told I will be completely blind in the next couple of years from the retinopathy. I know that things could be worse. I was told I will not receive additional benefits when it does happen. Social security isn't enough to even cover rent. I have recently gotten divorced and now I am being evicted by my ex husband. My parents are both deceased and I don't have any siblings. I did not know my Mother or her family, Both of my parents died when I was young. The only family members I do have are struggling themselves. I slept in my car three years ago, when I had no place to stay. I've applied for section 8 housing but I've been told since I don't have any children, the wait is three years. I can't afford to live anymore. I don't make enough money to qualify for low income housing. I am so sad and I keep getting the run around from agencies. I really need help. I hope there are some resources available to help me. Please email me if you know of anyone able to help.

Thank you!

Barbara

I am in search of anyone who has the heart and is able to help me and my family.  Earlier this year I suffered from a stroke and it has caused me to have epileptic seizures.  As a result of that I havn't been able to return to work because the doctors have not been able to get the under control.  That in return caused me to get evicted from one apartment and on the vurge of it happening again.  I napplied for disability and was denied twice and now I am waiting for a court date with a judge.  In the meantime I am in the process of losing this apartment.  I have 2 children and a cousin that I am raising.  Bottom line to the whole story is that I need help, pretty much from anyone that can help me.  I am in desperate need of $4000.00 to pay the rent and medications that I need.  The kids doesn't have any coats and the weather has gotten to be cold.  If any one could please help us I will be forever thankful.  I can be reached at 219-613-9445 my name is Lashawn and may God continue to bless you.

I'm a firm believer that all things work out in the end. but there's times is not so easy. one minute your on top of the world, next flat on  your back.... when your around your family, there is always someone there to pick you up and help you out. But your miles away in a town, city of strangers, no one to turn to. It's hard to ask for help, it become your first lesson of humility, humbleness. We all go to church when we can, the basket comes around, you put what you can. But when it comes down to the stranger, begging for food, pleading for survival of their family, no hope is a day, goes by. That is the real test between us and God, is the stranger, not the basket, the secret between you and God, not the dues paid. I know there are people worst off than me, and I pray for their case. My time is now, I'm hanging by a thread, job's pending, no gas to get there, utilities pending disconnection, no money to pay them. I ask for your help, not in pity, but in and with the last sense of dignity I have. Come to my aid, not tommorow, there is no tommorow when your down and the wolves are surrounding you......

Well I finally thought I would take the chance and change our lifes.. So with the cost of living in california I could not do it my self .. So I decided to move to arizona and try to make a better living for my children there ages are 6,10,12,17 So we stayed with a friend for a month until i could get on my feet with a job and money so I worked hard and was able to get into a beutiful home for us in maricopa it was a dream come true and my children were very happy ..... so we now have been here 1 month and our rent was due on the first of december. So myself and my 6 yearold headed to go pay the rent in scottsdale I stoped and got a money order for 925.00 well were almost there when my son had to go use the restroom so i took the money order put it in the center cousle and hurry and took him into a carls Jr so we were in there for about five minutes has we came out we got in the car and headed for oour destination.  Well when i got to the morgage broker i went to get the money order and it was gone along with some money and some cd.. I could not believe this was happening.. I know it is my fault for leaving my car open but i was in a hurry to get my son into the restroom. So here we are 14 days late on the rent with eviction on the way like tommorow and i have worried myself sick about this I am so heartbroken for my kids and what I am going to have to tell them that we are not having a xmas here because our home is going to be gone we will be on the streets... Need help ASAP, ex landlord kept security deposit

Our Ex landlord kept our security deposit after having a walk though where they said everything was fine. After the fact they charge us for stuff that has nothing to do with us and are trying to charge us an extra $200 on top of that. So that in turn is causing problems at our new place and we have to come up with $600 in one week or move out. I don't want to move we just got all settled in and just got my 3 yr old son going to sleep on his own again after moving in June. Please is there anything that can help us out there. We are low income, with 2 children We live on my husbands SSI of $623 a month and my TANF of $485 a month, with food stamps.

Please we need help ASAP!

We are being evicted

My name is Ron Castillo, I am 42 years old, I have a 20 month old baby, a 15 year old stepson and his mom is 43 years old. We moved to Michigan because where we lived in Texas there was no work. I was hopeing to work
in a packing shed in this area but we got here too late and they already had a full crew. so now I have to wait a couple of months to try again. My landlord has been nice with us up to now, he has mailed me an eviction notice and we have nowhere to go. I am in dire straits now, if I did'ent have my baby I wouldent care about living in the street. My landlord want's $1,300.00 for past due rent, he pays the bills too. The dept. of human services will not pay that much they say it's over thier budget and another of my problems is that I don't have a drivers license as of right now, I'll have it back in June so right now I drive always looking over my shoulder for the cops.
I hope someone can help us. I have the eviction notice if anyone is interested in seeing it.

My name is Melaney.  My husband is a veteran of the war in Afghanistan and Iraq, and was discharged medically a few years ago.  We have four beautiful children, and have struggled to make ends meet ever since we had to leave the military.   He is attending school now and will finish in a year.  He was recently laid off and his previous employer did not send his last paycheck, and the part time job also cut back on jobs and hasn't sent his paycheck, either.  We are now going to be evicted from our apartment if we don't come up with our rent plus some late fees.  We are current on everything else but the car, but we have simply run out of money. My husband has been accepted at another place this week, but he won't get a paycheck for another two weeks yet, and we will be forced to leave in by midnight tomorrow night.   I need some help desperately.  We have gone to DES and they said they will help us but it takes a week or more to process the paperwork.  I am usually too proud to do this, ask for help from strangers and DES, but I don't know what else to do.   We have nowhere to go- we can repay anyone who is willing to help by June for certain.  If you cannot help tangibly, then please pray for us- pray that God will soften the landlords heart to negotiate for a longer deadline, and pray that the checks and funds necessary will come in time!

  UPDATE!!!

The money has come in- his work FINALLY sent the money and the rent was paid the DAY THE EVICTION was supposed to take place.  We are so very relieved.  My hubby still needs a job, and we have all the other bills to pay now, but one thing at a time, right?  God does answer prayer- I am living proof!

Single mom needs help with rent

I am a single mother with my 9 year old daughter. I was recently out of work for 3 weeks in July due to illness. I had not been at my job long enough to have any vacation/sick days I could use. Because of my missing work I didn't have enought money to pay my August rent. My rent is $1,000. I was able to borrow $400 from a friend but have been unable to come up with the remaining $600. My landlord has given me a 3 day notice for eviction. I tried to get assistance from my county but because I had assistance once before (last year) I am no longer eligible. I hope someone can please help me. I don't know what I'm going to do. I cannot end up homeless with my daughter.

HELP-My child and I can not be without power

I am a 29 year old mother of a 5 year old. I recently had surgery and missed alot of work. I do not have a nest egg and I am now in jeopardy of being evicted and having my power shut off. I have tried everything to get caught up and just can not get it done alone. I have horrible credit, so I can not get a loan to help. I just wish that a fairy would come down and help me catch up my power and rent. If I could get the help this time I know it would be better after that. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please I promise to do my part for someone else once I am back on my feet.
