My name is Kelly and I am 31 years old.  I live with my husband Kenny and our two little girls, ages 3 and 7 years old.  I have lived in Fairbanks for the past 6 years.  I worked full-time as a pharmacy technician until adequate daycare for our youngest daughter became unavailable.  That is what prompted me to search other avenues of interest in business.  I have provided in-home short-term and long-term daycare now for over a dozen different children since February of 2005. Ultimately, I love to teach arts and crafts.  I have found that all children are unique, open-minded sponges when it comes to learning and I really enjoy helping them to express themselves through arts and crafts!

Desberately need help. I have no where else to turn. I am supporting two other people thats not including myself or my son. I have lent out money to other's who have not repaid. I am on the verge of loosing alot. I am 20,000 behind.

This is my story (abbreviated version). In 2002 I received a phone call from my father stating your mom is in the hodpital. I immediately flew to where they lived with my other half. At this point both my parents moved in with us. My mom was left side paralized and my dad was terminal with Pulmonary Fibrosis. My other half quit her job to take care of my parents. In 2003 my mom suddenly passed away. Then in 2004 my father passed away. During this time my other half Chris relized she wanted to be a Nurse. She now is in Nursing school. Except taking care of my parents has put us in a finacial bind. Chris has given so much up to take care of my parents and now I feel  I have failed because I can't continue to pay for Nursing school. Now my sister has become ill and is moving in with us. I have given everything I could to everybody else and have put my finacial's in jeopardy. Im not complaining because I would always be there if people needed me. I am desperately trying not to loose what I have..House, car. My bills have become behind, school tuition is due and I have to pay for my sisters move. Yes I work full time, but its still not enough. chris also works. we are struggling, but are sinking fast. Its' hard to look at my son and tell him we can't do things. He dosent understand all this yet. All he knows is now we have someone else coming to live with us. I have asked banks for loans, but keep getting denied. Somehow I need to come up with $20,000 to get caoght up. Is there anyone you can offer HELP?

My name is Charity Strong. I am a working full time parent. I have six children and five grandchildren. I would like to own and operate my own business, a dollar store, offering merchandise from one dollar up to five dollars. I know that I can do this if I can figure out how to come up with the start up capital.

I have worked in the retail business for approximately 20 years. During that time I have done everything from stocking shelves to filing federal tax forms. I have learned ordering and merchandising from my own experience with what works. Having managed convience stores as well as dollar stores I am fully aware of what is involved in running and maintaining a retail business.

Financial Help

My name is Tony, and my wifes name is Dinah. I recently lost my job to down-sizing and currently recieving unemployment ins., We are about to be evicted from our home (sept. 10th) because we can't afford the rent of $785 per month. I found a home to buy on contract, but we do not have the down payment of $1,000. I also have experiance as a Painter & Decorator, but also need funding to buy equipment and supplies. Would need about $5,000 to start up Painting & Dec Co., with the funding we will be able to get off unemployment and make a moderate income to pay back the funding if needed. The total amount we would need is $10,000 to get up to date with current bills and purchase the equipment needed for the Painting Co., and pay the down payment on the home contract. The payment on the home would only be $450 per month. I just have had some bad luck and need some help, I know if I had the funds to help some one I would.

Thank you vary much, Anthony D'Acquisto

Executive Director
Global Civic Preservation
Marietta, Georgia, USA
Languages: English

Global Civic Preservation Inc. (GCP), a non-profit organization founded on civic, social and economic principles, concentrates with tenacity on the identification and resolution of twenty-first century youth development, social matters, economic imbalances and challenges as they affect our local and global society.

The organization operates in two sectors (Local Youth Development and Global Missions).  The Local Youth Development Program was developed from experience and interaction with local youth, statistical analysis, observation, research and surveys completed on Metro-Atlanta and local youth.  Global Civic Preservation is concentrated on empowering, educating, challenging and motivating Metro-Atlanta youth through various activities, programs and events while demonstrating and educating on civic responsibility both locally and globally. GCP is working in collaboration with the local school systems, local authorities, government, community, organizations and corporations fulfil the vision and mission. The derivative of this program was launched from the alarming rate of local high school drop-outs, drug trafficking and usage, domestic crime among youth, pessimistic influence, lack of structure and guidance and various problems within our homes and communities.   Several programs and services within each sector will be utilized as a resource and a method of development for the other. These two sectors of the organization create opportunity for the other and will provide insight on civic responsibility while promoting cohesiveness and unity for a common goal of individual wellness and a brighter global economic future.

The Global Missions sector of the organization is sanctioned to research and develop programs and services to facilitate global empowerment to those that are in economically oppressed areas of West Africa.  More specifically Global Missions will aid in the economic development of Ghana, West Africa where economic imbalance and challenges can be easily recognized as economic oppression, poverty, malnutrition, starvation, social and academic deprivation, lack of development and progression from a civil and economic perspective.

Global Civic Preservation (Global Missions) has developed an intervention initiative to address these major concerns.  Through intervention GCP will help eliminate the perpetuating cycle of economic oppression, helplessness and global poverty, while empowering individuals with knowledge, education and employable skills.  The agenda set forth is to preserve our global society by consistently and diligently collaborating with local and foreign governments, The United Nations, corporations, businesses, educational institutions, faith-based and other non-profit organizations and individuals to provide resources and services to establish and maintain structured programs and opportunities to empower those in our society that aren’t awarded these opportunities due to economic oppression and challenges.

Global Civic Preservation’s initiative is to invest in citizens, communities (both urban and rural), regions and nations by empowering with knowledge, employable skills and opportunities while alleviating the rate of oppression, poverty, famine, unsanitary conditions and epidemic diseases.   This initiative also incorporates both local and foreign community involvement, affiliations and alliances with educational institutions, faith-based and other non-profit organizations to facilitate the organization’s vision.
As a non-profit organization, obtaining a permanent place in the civil / social economic development sector is our primary goal.  We wish to acquire international renown within the next few years. We see it as our main mission to provide high quality service to the targeted markets. Our basic objectives are reflected in our programs, services and work ethic, which is to contribute to the enrichment of the quality of lives for people globally.

The local region of Ghana, West Africa has seen a significant amount of economic oppression to include, homelessness, malnutrition, starvation, disease, social and academic deprivation that requires the attention, dedication and tenacity of a non-profit organization such as Global Civic Preservation.  The ongoing and overwhelming concern expressed by residents, government, organizations and the United Nations has stimulated GCP to assist in the economic, social, civic and academic efforts in the Ghana vicinity.

The government in Ghana, West Africa has initiated an agenda to improve education, infrastructure, health services and community development and Global Civic Preservation’s commitment, dedication and expertise in these areas is aptly suited to provide assistance and guidance in these affairs.

GCP in it’s effort to reform, develop and revitalize communities, cities and villages in the Ghana region, has a requirement  to receive and administer funds for educational, social, developmental and research purposes; and to that end take and hold by bequest, devise, gift, purchase or lease, either absolutely or in trust, for such objects and purposes or any of them, any property, real, personal or mixed without limitation as to amount or value except such limitation, if any, as may be imposed by law.

GCP is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable, educational and civil / social purposes, including, for such purposes the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501c(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. In furtherance of these purposes, the purpose of GCP shall be to:

  •  Stimulate major voluntary financial support from friends, corporations, foundations, and others for the sole benefit of empowering other individuals and communities globally.
  • GCP shall be responsible for the identification of potential donors, nurturing relationships, solicitation of gifts of cash, securities, real and intellectual property, and other forms of direct support; and the acknowledgement of gifts and all ongoing responsibilities related to such gifts.
  • GCP shall receive, invest and administer funds, subject to such restrictions as have been imposed by the donor thereof on the use of the principal and income of such funds.
  • Conduct such other activities and/or business for all other purposes that may be lawfully carried on or performed by a corporation formed under the Non-Profit Corporation Law of Georgia.

Our organization is currently seeking funding and sponsorship to fulfill our mission, objectives and aims for youth development, empowerment and individual wellness both locally and internationally.

need money to expand home-based daycare business to a community-based after school/ summer long youth program
I am a very gifted/talented young woman who would very much like to help the pre-teen/teenage population here in Fairbanks, Alaska by starting up an afterschool/summer long youth program (targeting youth ages 12-18)  and in hopes of mentoring troubled teens, particularly those of lower income families like myself.  A program such as this would involve monies and /or supplies for the children of the following proposed program activities and neccessary supplies:

Arts and Crafts  (painting, drawing, wood work, sewing, beading)
Sporting Equipment (basketball, soccer, volleyball)
Tranportation Services (6+ multi-seat vehicles)
Educational and Recreational Field Trips (Library, Fishing, Hiking, Berry-picking, Camping)
Career /  Trade Resource Information  (Computer Lab, printers, copier/fax machine,  internet connection and reference materials)
Assistance with Homework Studies (School -related)

I am currently a member of the "Big Brotherss, Big Sisters" program here in Fairbanks, Alaska and my "Little" is 12 years old.  I am inspired by her to reach out to as many of the youth in this area as possible as there is a great need for  such a proposal as the above mentioned.  I am asking anyone and everyone to please help me in this  business endeavor as I believe that I have what it takes to nurture and inspire the young minds  of our future american leaders.

Hi, I am the mother of three kids and I have one child that went to Heaven last year 11/25/2006. That is the worst thing that ever happened to me in my life. I would have rather been living on the streets with nothing than to lose my babyboy. He was born chronically ill. He had a kidney transplant 03/28/2006 and passed 11/25/2006. My situation now is not too good. I am working a part-time job, 24 hours a week. I don't know how I am going to get Christmas presents this year. I am also behind on my rent and my vehicle has been broke down since this summer. I NEED HELP!!! If you would like to find out more information about my babyboy, you can visit caringbridge.org and ENTER: larryjr

I am a single mom of three children,  I'm looking for funding so that  may be able to go to college full time and still be able to support my children.

Funding to establish carehome for individuals with disabilities

I want to open a carehome for persons with severe and profound disabilities.  I live in a very small community that has no such resource and desperatley needs this service.  The nearest care home in the state is over 90 miles away, which means most individuals that need this service must relocate away from their families.  I have over 10 years experience working with the disabled population and have a passion and determination to help people in this capacity.

I need funding in the form of donations or grants to help purchase a house with 4+ bedrooms, 2+ baths.  This is assuming each bedroom will be shared between 2 clients, with 1 room for a live in staff.  I don't know where to start on this mission.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am in my early 50's and used to make 6 figures, but bad investments have put my few properties into foreclosure.  My business should make money, but hasn't - it's credit is excellent, though.  I need to either invest in my buisiness or get back into a high-tech field that was so good to me in my earlier days, but I have huge debts (mostly mortgages), lots of IRS $$ due.  I wish I could sell my real estate or get an investment of about $100K against 1/4 acre of industrial urban vacant land (it has no mortgage on it) so I can either (a) revamp my business or (b) refresh my career skills - depending on how my capital I have.
