Grants or loans for disabled persons

I am a victum of TM. I am disabled but I like to be as active as I can be. I am looking for grants to start a small business. Also needing grant money or loan to take care of the growing expencives that's associated with becoming disabled.

I would like any help I can get.

Transverse myelitis (TM) is a neurologic syndrome caused by inflammation of the spinal cord. TM is uncommon but not rare. Conservative estimates of incidence per year vary from 1 to 5 per million population (Jeffery, et.al., 1993). The term myelitis is a nonspecific term for inflammation of the spinal cord; transverse refers to involvement across one level of the spinal cord. It occurs in both adults and children. You may also hear the term myelopathy, which is a more general term for any disorder of the spinal cord.

Aid For Education

     To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter, because I need help.  I have applied to an online university, and am unable to fund the education.  I am requesting more information on grants, so that I may be able to make this happen.

I am a single father, and work a full time job.  I work approx. 60 hrs. a week and want to change.  I am trying to further my education.  I also wish to be able to provide my family better.  I feel that an education will open more options for that to happen.  Iam in need of assistance. Please help!

Looking for help

Hello ~ I'm in need of help whether it be pointed in the right direction or whatever. I'm looking for information on how to obtain a Personal Grant for the Government. I have searched the web for information, I keep hitting brick wall after brick wall. Every website wants money to tell you how "you can get free money from the Government." I have always heard, Never pay for something you can get for free, If you need to fork over money it's all a gimick. Besides, I do not have the funds to hand someone so they can direct me into the next brick wall. If I did, then I wouldn't need a grant.

If anyone needs information on my situation I will supply it. It would be a novel if I typed it all out.

Thank In advance

Hi, My name is Jessica. My husband Mike and I just moved to missouri from Arizona because we could not afford to live there anymore and we thought we might have more opportunities for jobs here. We were wrong. We have had nothing but troubles since we have moved here. Let me begin, we moved into a rental property that we cannot afford, the management company told us that it was the only house in the entire springfield metro area (including cities up to 25 miles out) that would allow our older rottweiler who has medical problems. We made the sacrifice to take care of him and chanced not being able to afford the rent, which is a blazing $800 a month. We also did't have air conditioning for 3 weeks out of our first month, the rental company didn't want to fix it, until we threatened them with the Health Department. We expected to find jobs pretty soon. It took me seven weeks to get hired on at Wal-Mart making $7.00 an hour, and I have to beg them to give me full time hours, which they did. So I generally get (if I am lucky) between 34-37 hours a week. I work very hard, any hours available and volunteer to be called in if they need me to replace someone elses shift. Mike on the other hand, has not been able to find a job. He has applied everywhere possible (at least 4 applications a day to different places, some online, some face-to-face) It has now been 3 months and nothing. Well, one week he was not able to turn in applications, or go to intweviews, because one saturday night, we was attacked. Two large, drunk men, who we didn't even know attacked him and brutally assaulted him. The police came and a report was made, but the men were never found. This happened in a parking lot not but 5 minutes from our house. We had to go to the emergency room because he was seriously injured. They had managed to beat his head into the concrete pretty bad. He had fractures in his face, and whip-lash, and a pretty bad neck injury. He had a black eye and nerve damage to his face and neck. We had to go back to the emergency room about 4 days later because he didn't feel quite right, and the doctors told us that he had post concussion syndrome. His eyes had been dilating in and out quickly, and his blood pressure wasn't right, and his heart was beating strange. The total bill for the hospital, came to about $4000. We contacted Victims of Violent Crime Compensation of Missouri to see if they could help pay for some of the bills. They denied him, because they didn't catch the men? Not sure why. On top of that bill, he has to see a family practice doctor once a month for medications that run us about $400 each fill. She recommends either continuing the medication for a long time, or getting a surgery that has about a 33% success rate and costs between $80,000 and $100,000 to do. We have been delinquent on our bills several times, and have resulted to food stamp benefits, which we think should go for people that need it worse than us, like families with children, but we wouldn't eat if it wasnt for that help. We get less than $100 a month. We basically have lived on tuna sandwhiches and eggs. Once a week I try to fit in some ground beef and rice. We are falling harder and harder, and I feel like my body is about to give out. More than that, I am scared. We have no support system. No money, If anyone thinks that they can help us out with money to pay our bills, or to buy some food, or to help with the prescrpitions that would be great. Or, If you have a job availible in the Springfield, Mo metro area that would be good for Mike, let us know. He had an assosciated degree in computer related field and some experience with computer repair, installation, and such. But he doesnt have to do that. Keep in mind that his injury limits him physicially (meaning he cant lift 50 lbs continuously) though he is pretty strong. Thank you.

I don't have an organization, business, or some great endeavor that I need money for.  I don't have a sad story either.  I also know that there are people in worse condition than mine, so I will let you judge. In fact, I take full responisibility for not educating myself on how money and credit worked before I entered college.  I graduated two years ago and I am still trying to fix the mess I made.  Approximately $55,000 dollars in debt. I have $35,000 in student loans, $14000 in car debt, and $6000 in medical bills (from college) and credit card debt.  I have since been enlightened by Dave Ramsey and Crown Financial Ministries on money matters.  Though I am taking aggressive steps to get out of debt, on a $2500 a month take home pay, it is going to take a painfully long time to make all these debts good.  Therefore, I am making my request known and asking for a bit of grace.  If God has put it on our heart to help me, please contact me or send mail to P.O. Box 180223, Dallas, Texas 75218.  Any help that you can give me will be greatly appreciated.  Also, I will be happy to share more info with you or send a reciept for your donations.  I would like to be debt free in my thirties so that I can change careers and spend my life educating people like myself on how to be good stewards of thier finances.  I believe that all that has happened in my life has been for a reason.

Thank you in advance.

Government taking my Dads property

The government is trying to take my Dads property becuase I am filing for bankruptcy. My mom died a fews years ago and I was left witht taking care of the details. This set me back quite a bit and as a result I had no other choice but to file for bankrutpcy. I have never had a problem before and even tried to work out payment options with the creditors however they were not interested in what I could pay. At one point my Dads farmland was in my name now the government is going to try and take the property to pay my debts. This is killing me and I don't know what else to do. I do have an attorney but he feels as though the government will be able to do it. If I can come up with the money the government will back down. I don't wan the money for free maybe a loan that I can afford. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you all.

To whom it may concern: My name is Jim. I am 46 years old, very happily married and have 5 of the best step children anyone could ask for. On December 31st 2005 my life changed. I was in a very bad accident that left my back broken and a permanent disability. Since I have not been able to work or find work suitable I have lost nearly everything. We are struggling to get by, have amassed a huge amount of debt and don't have enough to get by on. I have been looking for any type of work I can still do but it is not easy to find someone that will take a chance on someone who is disabled. I also filed a claim and it was denied by Social Security. We are appealing. Does anyone know what I can do at this point? Can anyone lend us money? Can anyone keep us from loosing everything? Please let me know

Looking for Grant Money

I am a single parent. I'm in a financial crisis right now. This time of year seem to be a hard year for most people. I can't seem to get above water with my finances. I'm working and in School, but nothing seems to help. I have been searching for free grants from the government  this would help with some of my debt. It also would help to pay for Schooling.  Every program that I find seem to be a rip off. I have tried different organizations especially Church, they only help some people. I really could use the help. If you have any information, please let me know. Thanks.

Well, I am feeling pretty low and don't know what else to do.  I'm in a financial bind, owing roughly 50K in debt, and about 150K in student loans.  My immediate concern is that I will be unable to afford my car loan and rent.  Without my vehicle, I cannot go into work.  I work for the government, begging my supervisors for overtime so I can make more money, and also have tried to get part time jobs throughout town.  I live in SF, one of the most expensive places in the country.  My family has cut me off because I recently came out of the closet, so I'm basically on my own.  I'm trying my best to stay afloat, but I feel like I'm sinking fast.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
