I am a grandmother worried about my grand-daughter. The last time I heard from her she was in New Orleans,La. Look I am not going to make up a story. the simple truth is my grand-daughter Brenda J. Johnson is 19 and a drug addict. she has been in Jail in Orleans Parrish for prostatition . I know alot of you think so what. But you see I love her . I know its possible that she is already a Jane Doe . But just in case she isn't I want to find her before she is a Jane Doe. If there is anyone out there that has seen her, Please I ask you to help me and her. The Picture is Brenda she is older now but looks alot like she did. If you Have seen or Know anything Please let me know.

I am a married woman in my middle forties. I have 3 kids ages 24 (daughter), 22 (son), 14 (son). I also have 1 granddaughter who is 8 months. My daughter and granddaughter live with myself and my husband. I am unemployed at this time because of my health. My husband is the only one who works in the house. His income isn't enough to make the ends meet. I hope to get a job when my health improves.
Comment: I would also like to add that...

I would also like to add that since you are unable to work due to your health, were you injured at work? You could be receiving workers compensation.

Otherwise you may be able to apply for Social security disability (SSD), or supplemental security income (SSI).

Furthermore, you may also be eligible for Social services, including, food stamps, medicaid, utility assistance (HEAP).

Additionally, you can utilize food pantries as well.

I would also get 2nd opinion on that car. $2000 seems like an awful lot of money to repair a car that broke down.
Aidpage group discussing "unable to work"...

Feel free to participate in this public group space.

Two easy ways to do this:

  1. Add a comment or a question here - on this page... or on any other page in this space.
  2. Or, if you want to start a separate thread - make a new page.

Either way is good - the important thing is your participation. On Aidpage, people support each other by speaking out and by paying attention to each other - as simple as that.

I my husband and I have had to change jobs.We are in our 40s and have had to gain custody of our Granddaughter when she was an infant she is now 1 1/2 . We were driving 90 miles 1 way to work and working 3rd shift. We were having trouble find babysitters. After over a year of struggling to work in the city and take care of her we decided we needed to change jobs. Because of the gas prices we couldn't afford to have just one of us travel to work. The problem is I am hired with the school system and I am not covered under the contract for pay through the summer. I haven't been able to find and a job for just the summer. We are behind in some bills, our electric bill, car payment, and house payment. We $1600.00 to help us until I go back to work. Any help would be appreciated. I pray that someone that reads this will find it in their heart to help us.
