I am looking for alittle help to buy my mothers medications and her personal needs.  She has ss but it goes to her mortgage and her insurances. She is 74 and has copd, diabetic, congestive heart failure and lung cancer. I have been taking care of her for 4 years now and have strugled to keep food on the table. I had to quit my job so I could take care of her. This is 24/7 .  The house we live in is in need of alot of repairs inside and out.  I have nowhere else to turn.  My mother is on many medications and some I have been able to get help with. But its just not enough. I really need help. Thanks for any help I get.

My husband and I live in Sulphur Springs, Texas. We both need to be in wheelchairs and we are, but we have no ramp to get in and out of our house and the chairs are to heavy to lift out, we live on his disability and my SS and don't have any other income and can't afford to put a ramp on or even fix our home. Our home needs several repairs the bathrooms needs a floor and a new tub installed, the livingroom needs the ceiling fixed along with the floor repaired, our roof needs replaced it rains inside more than outside. We can't afford a loan we barely get by on the money we get, last year we went without heat because we could not afford the bills and it was a choice between heat or food we took food. Please can you tell me if there is someone out there that can help or a grant I can get to fix these things.

I am a single mother my son does get SSI and I also work a full time job. I was able to buy a house in OCt 2003. With his income and my job we are able to pay the bills with 5 bucks a month to spare. Yet I need to have my roof fixed or replace leaks when it rains heavey. Also my car is paid for yet seems to be on its last leg at any given time it could need another repair job. I am working herd to keep the house up. I pay 800 a month which pays insurane taxes and principal. This is a good price for a home renting a place could cost me much more and then I would never own either. I keep praying that some how things will work out. I have been able to pay off credit cards and want to continue not to have to use them for the bills. It is hard to have to tell my son we can not afford to go places his friends go. Yet he is a good kid which makes it hardeer on me I know he deserves better then what we have.....

 Hi,my name is Lena and i live in chattanooga,tn.I am the mother of a child with cereberal palsy.I recently lost my job and will have to move soon back to a house i once owned with my exhusband.The problem i am having is the people he just had evicted tore the house apart.For some reason they took all the wall heaters out,now there is no heat in the house.I have a limited income and have no way of replacing the heaters.I have contacted local health dept for help with no luck.If there's anyone who could help on finding info for this cause,it would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

   I was divorced 5 years ago, long enough to max out my credit cards trying to make ends meet. I suffer from chronic depression (the reason for the divorce) and have been getting treatment for it for the last 11 years. It is really bad right now. I am not functioning well at all. I need help getting help. I am behind on all of my bills and 2months behind on my house payment. I am so afraid of losing this house. I have a major sentimental connection with it even though it is well over 100 yrs old and in desperate need of repairs, it is my home and I've got alot of memories in it in the past 16 years. I have done alot of work on it throughout the years. I'm pretty handy at drywalling, painting, laying carpet, some plumbing, small electrical projects, roofing, cutting and laying tile, and fixing what needs fixed when I have what I need to do it. which is why I need money to fix things around here. One thing that I know of for sure that I can't do, (even with the funds if I can get some), is fix the sewer gas problem in the basement. I also have large overgrown trees that are rubbing the shingles that need cut down and the gutters need all the weeds that are growing in them removed. I have a definite fear of heights so I can't even come close to cleaning them out. The wood trim needs painted on the house to prevent it from weather damage. It is dry and grey where the paint has worn off. I think I could handle replacing the wood under the kitchen sink that has rotted through if I had the materials. There are several odds and ends I could take care of if I had a grant or some kind of program that could help me out.

   What I also need to get me out of this financial nightmare is a grant to start my own business so I can make enough money to pay my bills and hopefully set aside something for retirement. I would also welcome any literature or help of getting it started such as how to do taxes and setting up an internet site for sales.

I am a single mother of 3, ages 16, 14 and 5, looking for help with my mortgage.  I am unable to pay and would like to find out where to get help. I am in desperate need of a refinance loan.    I need to put a new roof on my
