I have a special needs son who is attending a school for severe learning disabled children.  My son is profoundly dyslexic, verbally dyspraxic,  OCD,  Asperger's Syndrome and profoundly gifted.   The school he attends is paid for by the school district through the Individuals with Disablities Educational Act.  I have been advocating for my son for 10  years.  I have fought for services,  including speech and occupational therapy, reading help, extended school year services and you name it.  Finally this past school year he was accepted into a school for kids with profound dyslexia and other disablities.   I grabbed the golden ring for my son!   If i leave this school district i risk loosing the education that my son needs.  This would be absolutely devasting to him and to me.  Here is the link for my son's school:   www.rsec.org

This past spring we went thru a horrible and financially devasting divorce.   My ex -husband is loosing his job and i will loose some or most of my child support.  I am also self employed, and working a second job.

My problem is, is that can not afford the property taxes on this house.   I may have to sell and loose his education and my self-employment.  It kills me to know that my son is at risk to loose  the long awaited education he so sorely needs  over property taxes.   There is no guarantee that  if  forced to move he will be able to receive this education or that i would live close enough to this  school for the profoundly learning disabled.   I can't refinance this house due to my credit scores due to the divorce and how the first mortgage is written.

I have had many  expensive repairs on this house the past  2 years, my 7 yr old  ford explorer died,  i had to use the $6000 in my retirement account to buy a new car, a 95 tahoe.. a real gas guzzler but all i could afford. I get a little bit of fuel assistance, have no health insurance,  and do not qualify for food stamps.   I have no money to get my high blood pressure meds and meds for anxiety and depression.  I have taken on a roommate but which helps but doesn't solve our problem.  I have asked for a tax abatement from the town and was denied.   I am in the process of filing bankruptcy because i don't know where else to turn.  It kills me to do it because i want to be responsible for my debts, but there is nothing left at the end of the month to cover it.   During the course of my  25 year marriage I was fortunate to be the giver of such gifts.... at the holidays to needy organizations , to animal shelters,  the salvation army, i took in exchange students to teach them about our country, voluneteered at my son's school and more.  Now, i need to be at the receiving end of such generosity.  Please help us.

This is entire  life changing event is over $9000.00.  Please open your heart and your financial abilities to ensure that my son gets to fulfill profound gifted abilities by learning to read.  I am scared and very frightened that my son, my gift from God, will loose his one big chance to become literate.  He is in 6th grade, 11 yrs old,   has an IQ of 140+ and reads at a kindergarten level.

Im 24 years old who just seperated from my husband of 4 years. Bought a house back in January 2006 and owe just about 91,000 on it. I have been living paycheck to paycheck and have barley have any money to pay all my bills. Im a little less then 140,000.00 in debt and that includes my car and Credit Cards.  I am normaly the one being asked for money and i always give it even thought i know i shouldnt. Hello.  I am a single mother with 4 children.  I work full time as a caregiver.  I want so bad to go to college.  But right now I am focusing first on getting a second job and seeing what I can do about buying a home.  The father of my children pays child support when he wants to which makes that hard for me at times.  It's really hard to save money for a downpayment for a house.  I know there is Government grants out there but mainly for hud houses and I refuse to live in a bad neighborhood with my children.  If there is anyone that could help me in some way please let me know.  Thank you so much.

Ok I was asking for christmas help but now I am changing my requests..

 I'm a disabled Mom of 2 lil boys! They are my life. We are having some really hard times right now. We are behind on alot of bills due to My health. I have Lupus and am in a flare and have been back and forth to the Dr alot lately. They now think I also have Fibro. I am just asking for anyone that can to help with some of my bills. I just want to get my lights paid before they cut the off. I am a mother of a 2 year old son.  My husband and I try very hard to make a home for our family.  He lost his job the day after Christmas and has had trouble finding another one.  I have picked up some contract work, and am now working two contract jobs in addition to my full time job.  I was diagnosed 2 years go with multiple sclerosis, so the extra work is not an easy task.

Anyway, we got behind one month on our house payment and have been unable to catch up.  Our bank is demanding two months (the behind month plus this month) payment within 48 hours.  I don't have it and don't know what to do.

Iam usually one to be giving help so it feels funny asking for help. my family  was displaced last year because my brother tried to stab my fiance with a butcher knife while my 13yr old son was standing in between them. we all lived in the same house needless to say we had to move and ended up in public housing. Right now we are trying to buy a house  ,in pa but because we make less than 15,000.00 a year and have inadequate credit we cant get a loan or mortgage anywhere, we have tried and tried. I just want to have a better environment for my children than public housing.My family has endured one tragedy after another for years and i keep wondering when we are goin to get a break,!!! UPDATE__4/28/08 im sorry if anyone feels that i have asked for too much by asking for what i have asked for , no one knows the tragedies ive been thru or what i have to face every day living where i am living, its like living in hell.I want a better life for my children thats why i posted here, hoping i could get help, not be critisized for it.if anyone wants to help us fulfill our wish of obtaining a home please email  michellebosack@yahoo.com thank you and God bless.

I am a single mom aged 41. i'd like to try to buy a house for my very small family. i want to give my daughter some stability. however. i cannot afford it, because i have an overwhelming school debt hanging over my head. any tips or suggestions on how to pay it back or have some of it forgiven would be most appreciated.

I would very much like to purchase a house, I also kind of have a little business going, I would very much like to improve on.

I am here because I am a young, smart, dedicated mother of 2 very smart loving kids. I have come to a point in my life where the man that I trusted with our lives just decided to leave us with nothing. It is sad because he controlled everything and could care less about me and our kids well being. I have been a stay at home mother and I do not have any unnecessary bills. All I have is rent, utilities, food, car insurance and very little money for anything else. I want to go back to school to make something of myself but there are other things that stand in my way. I need a job but no one here will take a chance on me because I havent worked and I have no experience. I need money for everyday living and it makes it harder when I want to work and go to school and then I need money for a babysitter that I can trust with my kids. I am just so stressed that I cannot provide the things that I need for my kids. I here all the time about people going into debt and well I dont want to do that to myself or my kids. I want to have some stability for themand myself but it seems like I am getting nowhere and well the money that I still have will not last long. I am not sure what I am asking for I just know that I need help. I want to find a job at home but I cant invest the little money that I have. I have sold alot of my things to make more money and well that in itself makes me sad. I just really need something to help me get by. I would really love it if this site is real and well I am not afraid to talk to someone that is real and not looking to add to the stresses that I have. I am just so afraid that my kids will have to see the harsh realities of. I want to give them a roof over there head but I can only afford a few more months and I really dont know what to do. I just dont want them to feel in secure. I want the simple things in life but no one is willing to give me a chance to prove myself to them. Life is hard but it seems to want to keep me down rather than letting me and my family prosper.

 I have a list of things that I "WISH" I could have but then again I am not to lazy to make my wishes come true. I just need some help to be stabel enough to give my kids a home.I live in a small apartment and well to better understand my situation I am pretty much living off of 1500 a month and my rent is more than half that amount. I cant get a deposit for another place and well where I live it is a really reasonable price. My landlord is really nice and understanding but he is also struggling and well with 2 kids and we dont go shopping alot. Me and my kids have all second hand things, we eat canned goods most of the time, and we just spend time together so the good thing is that my kids dont need the fancy things to make them happy. They do want the new things but they know that I cant give it to them because I dont have the money. I would love to give them the nicer things for their birthdays and holidays but I cant sacrifice the money in that way. I am just feel so inadequate at times. I want to give them extra things because they are smart and deserve them but everything is so pricey. We rarely go to mcdonalds and when we go we only get the dollar menu thing and we go where we can get free refills. I mean that is a good thing but to have to explain to my little ones that I cant do more because mommy dont have the resources really makes me depressed. They dont know the things that I have to struggle with and I hope they never know but they see it and ask questions and I have to try and tell them something else that is positive. It becomes torture at times when they see the things that others recieve and how others indulge in the luxuries of life.

I am really looking forward to making a life with my kids but now I am trying to find some grants that I can apply for so that I can go back to school. I am having a hard time getting a job and finding needed help. I would really love it if people could help me financially but that is a dream in it self. I understand that people dont know if I am real or not but all I can say is that I am and if someone is generous enough to help me out they would be doing a great thing. I would be happy with 5 dollars I mean every little bit helps. I have really changed so much in my life to make a honest life with my kids and it hurts me that I cant give them the things that once had. They understand the situation a little but it still sucks for them because they are so young. I want to give them some security but here in hawaii it is quite difficult. I dont know what can help me but I just really dont want to go in to debt so that is why I am asking for help before we have to suffer more with those things. I am a open person and real as can be. I am not lying and well I hope that a decent person is willing to get to know me and my family enough to see that I am not scamming anyone. I really want grants for schools and I just dont know which ones are legit. But if anyone just wants to help me in monetary things that would be greatly appreciated.
