I am a 26 year old female, and I have a 1 and 1/2 year old daughter and my husband. We recently came to Vegas, to be closer to our family and search better opportunities, but things don't always happen that way, as my husband couldn't find the right job right away and I have been looking for one for months. In addition I know nobody and I don't know where to go make friends, especially when I don't have much budjet to go places.  I love to kow people,moms who have children and like to meet for playdates here in Vegas at my home or yours or at a park.

My other problem is a job. I am so eager to work right now but I don't have much to show of with. Most of my jobs I've done so far were temporary and out of the USA while I was at college and were not of great significance of what  I really want to do. I have a 2 years degree in Graphic Arts and a minor in Computer science, and I would love to use the abilities I have paid for to develope at college.I can learn fast any office machines and softwares, I have had use of  most of them. Also I have good communication skills, that I have developed from other customer service jobs I have been at. That is I would love to work for someone who needs help in an office, and extra telephone help. I am beginer and never worked before in that field but I wont let down anybody, if given the opportunity.

It's hard  to look for a job and go to many interviews because I have my daughter full time at home and my husband and I can't efford daycare right now, maybe never, all his money go for bills. I have to start working to make money to pay for daycare. I need a reliable understanding employer, for that. I cannot effort a job that I will do temporarly.I will probably find daycare if I know I met a reliable employer. I am turnng 27 this year and I am eager to begin a career and develope good working skills.

If you have any friends or yourself in VEGAS who can help me get at work, I will be so greatful. I will not let anyone down as I am honest and active person,persistent person.

I am 56 years old. I lost a good paying clerical job at 53 in 2004. Out of desperation, I worked in a mill for 2.2 years, then was fortunate enough to find another clerical-type position.

I worked this for 8 months before having an 'anxiety' attack at work. I told them I had to leave, and I left. They fired me for leaving although I first talked to them about it and they knew I had been taking meds for my nerves since a couple of months after I began working there. My unemployment was denied due to me 'leaving the job w/o permission' (which was not so). Employers seem to be able to tell any story they want and the Labor Board takes it as 'gospel!'

I have been out of work since April 1, 2008, and I have just made the last house payment I will be able to make without God's intervention. I am set up to work from home and I don't ask for money, just work that won't cost me money to do. My credit rating is over 700 and I had hoped to keep it that way. I can do just about anything on the pc. I have been on it about every day since 1992. It is also my #1 hobby.

I desperately need some financial advice on where to turn and what to do. It has been four years since I have made a decent wage and my age seems to be holding me back; and now, a problem with anxiety. No one seems to want to hire me.

I am new to Georgia and have had two temp jobs that have lasted one month each and right now I am with out transportation and have no job ...Just applied for assistance and am waiting to hear back from them as we speak,but now I have to worry about paying my rent and caring for my teenage son all by myself..what to do is my main worry at this point in time..any help would be greatful.

hi  Im a single mother of one who recently lost my job due to my son braking his hand. i was a mgr. for 4 years at my job but they seemed to think workers are a dime a dozen and couldnt relate to my needs to take care of my child so i was let go .  Im looking for local work now, Im trying to sell homeade quilts andpillows and stuff like that just so we can eat right now.  Im only allowed 68 dollars in food stamps and my electric bill is due tomarrow its 170.00 and i dont know what to do .. Hello,  For some reason I had to change my username.  I used to be Rose5, but now I am Rose52.   I am  disabled,  from a car accident.  I recently moved to Arizona from Minnesota and the weather here has helped me quite a bit.  I am hoping to find work.  I need to start out slow.  If anyone out there knows of any part-time job in the Phoenix area, I would appreciate you telling me about it.  I was an administrative assistant in academics and really miss being with and meeting people.  Any one have any suggestions?

I didn't know what else to do so I thought I would try here. I know there are some thoughtful and giving people in this world. I am one of them. However times are extremely rough! I was recently laid off from my job. I am a single mother of 6 children and have no clue where the money for bills will come. I have a car note that is past due, as well as water and lights. Im trying my hardest emotionally to keep it together for my children. However when the night falls i cry out to God to make a way for us. I know He will and I believe my phone will ring for an interview soon. In the meantime bills are still due.I am out everyday applying and looking for employment. I am usually the one helping others even when I dont have it. And writing this is actually hard for me. Its so easy to help someone else who is in need, but asking for help seems to be the hardest thing ever. I pray someone will read this and have compassion and help us out. I appreciate your time in reading this If God leads you to give wether to me or someone else do so... He will bless you greatly!

It has been the worst time of our lives, but we continue to be faithful in God's word and great promise.

Last year, I had lost my job while pregnant and our nestegg was used to keep our health insurance so we could at least have our baby.  Later, we find out that our older toddler is developmentally delayed.  We have been promised a diagnosis in 9 more months, though there has been references that he is autistic.  Yesterday, we have found out that his baby brother is also developmentally delayed and is also requiring treatment.  I have been looking for part time work to accomodate our child's 20 hours/week health appointments.  I have been blessed with work in babysitting and cleaning homes that allow me to bring my babies, however it is sporadic.  My poor husband has been working 70 hours/6 days per week.  Previous marriage have left us in debt and our credit ruined, but with our current financial priorities, we've defaulted on our counseling program and collection agencies call everyday .  We have just been given notice that our rental home will be sold, after years of never being late on our rent payment and tending to this house as if it was our own.

Thank you God for bringing peace in my heart for the times after my husband and I exasperate, fight and cry.  Thank you for the smiles my babies manage despite the gravity of our situation.  Thank you God, for reminding me that you only give us what we can handle.

Today I pray that you help me put the pieces back together of my broken heart.  I pray for your forgiveness, as I am in this moment weak, frightened and seeking desperately for help.  I pray that you will provide the direction to help us find a new home for our family.

Can someone please help me in this trying time?  I know that that is something many hear everyday and I know it gets old.  What is worse is the fact that so many of us need help and can't easily get it.  I am a 25 y/o wife and mother of 3 boys.  My husband had a steady job and was doing very well until due to a medical condition was unable to continue his job.  I am a licensed EMT and truck driver.  I have a child with autism and had to pass up a job due to this issue.  I have been actively looking for work, however, have run into a little snag.  I am $1,200 past due on my car payment and the bank is talking about repossessing the only vehicle we have.  If anyone could help us out, it would be Gods gift at this trying time.  I am hoping that we can find some help so that we can get jobs again and help my son have a more normal life.
