I NEED HELP!!!!! CANCEL CHRISTMAS...I have run into a lot of problems in the past few years. Instead of things getting better they are getting worse. I am a currently a housewife taking care of my two small children..I lost my job a lttle over a year ago at wich point I was pregnant and unable to find a new job, in someways it was a blessing because I am getting to watch my children grow..I am looking for any help. Most website's I have gone to about grants say they are free but they are not !!! I need to pay my bills before I have nothing left. I am scared todeath and think I am suffering from depression. The worst feeling in the world is not knowing what is going to happen. If it was just me I could find a way, but I have babies involved and I want to give them the best life I can.. This is terrible that so many people are having the same trouble!! It is hard to even put a smile on my face for my kids anymore. I have failed as a person, mother, wife, daughter & friend. And I have no hope left in me, I have have tried everything I can think of and don't know what else to do....   :(

Hello i'm a local recording artist and have been for the past ten years. I write and produce my own origional recordings. I've recorded and produced 3 solo albums so far, performed at the world famous Apollo Theater in N.Y.C , performed on a local TV show in my home town and sell my albums out of my trunk.I'm trying very hard to make a living from this i have a family to support. I've been from one dead end job to another and all proved to be total let downs. I realize that my dreams wont happen overnight and it took along time for me to accept  that. Hi, my name is Trey, I'm 24 old and I'm trying to find an organization or someone who can help me. I'm about to lose my apartment in 3 weeks if I can't pay my rent ($550 a month) I'm also in the process of trying to find funds to go to school in Arizona as well. I have one car that's been broke down for 2 years. I bought it and not even a month later it broke down causing me to lose my job at the time. I had to borrow my mothers car so that i could work third shift at a factory where i was only to be laid off 3 months later. I saved up just enough money to buy a car for about $500 which has just broken down. If my credit was good I would use it to my advantage but sorry to say, it's not.  I am 21 years old and I am looking for some help with paying for Nursing School. My parents are not willing to help. I will pledge 100 dollars, as long as 50 others do the same as me. This money will help pay for school, and all school books. If I can't raise the money, I will have to drop out til next year, and that will be another year farther away from graduation. Hi. I'm a 24 year old college student. I work full-time, and attend school full-time (at the same time. That's a lot of time!) I'm currently disheartened by our sad state of educational affairs in the U.S. I find it not a little frustrating that while I work full-time to support myself (no help from any outside sources: mother was abusive, father passed away a few years ago. Miss him terribly.) I am told by the federal government that I make too much money for their assistance. They expect about two-thirds of my monthly income to go to educational expenses. Anyone who is alive and paying their own bills knows how unrealistic that is. It's downright absurd!

I'm here to find other stories of similar situations. I'm unable to complete a degree due to lack of funds.To add insult to injury, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA across years of education (not just one lucky semester) and am an Honor's student at the community college I attend. How sad that lack of finacial assistance means I have to cut my education short before even receiving a bachelor's degree. 

The worst part? If I were a lazy person, or unfortunate enough to have no job, my schooling would be paid for. I'd also have nowhere to live. It's quite a catch-22.

Who knows if I'll ever get to the PhD I want so intensely...

I am 24 years old, female, married, and I just recently received my associates. I would love to continue and receive a bachleors, one thing holding me back, MONEY!! I have tried applying for financial aid, they didnt give me anything. I applied for grants, nothing there either. I dont want any loans, I cant afford to pay back. My dream is to simply be handed $15,000 to go back to school. Ill break it down for you...I only have 20 courses left to receive my Bachleors, and each course is $750 (books included). Now, $750 X 20 is $15,000. If 15,000 people gave me each $1. I will be able to have enough money for school. I am not asking for 15,000 dollars, I am asking for 1 dollar, I hope enough people can assist me in funding my education. This would mean the world to me:) I cannot find any jobs that make good money with just an associates, I know I must continue my education in order to better myself and be able to help my family.
