and myself are just a few. We have taken the time to compile a TON of resources to help others.
We have all been in the same shoes at one time or another - some of us still are. By working together and helping eachother, we can make it through.
We will try to address your posts individually, if we can. However, due to the enormity of the site, the numerous requests, and the vast number of resources available - not to mention the scammers who post - it can be difficult at times. Please be patient. Please check previous posts and pre-existing pages for information.
We are not perfect, we make mistakes. We have bad days - just like you. We have bills to pay, familes to care for, illnesses to deal with, and other burdens just like you. BUT just like you, we have a desire to make our lives, and the lives of those we meet, better in some small way. We may send a prayer, a cyber hug, information, links, advice, or even maybe some construcive criticism, if necessary. We do what we do, because we need to, in our own way. If we are lucky, we get to see people move on because they have found the help they needed and do not need to be here anymore. The creators of AIDPAGE have given us, all of us, a great opportunity to reach out and help one another. Please, make the most of your time here: to share, to hope, to dream of a better life; then go out and make it happen!
Please tell me about broken links and ANY other errors on my pages! Thank you!

HOUSING
HUD/SECTION 8/Govt subsidized housing Section 8 housing usually has a long list because the subsidy is attached to the person, not the property. This means that regardless of where the person lives, they still get the subsidy. In NY the waiting list is 8-10 years. ****If at anytime, you are denied accessibility to applying for any program, you should contact your local city, county, or state leaders and have them intervene on your behalf. - THIS APPLIES TO ANYONE WHO IS DENIED ASSISTANCE.
HOWEVER, there is another alternative. Subsidized housing where the subsidy stays with the property rather than with the renter. You would still pay the same amount of rent - it is based on your income - but you would have to move into a government subsidized property.
In most cases, these are handicapped accessible, family oriented, all the maintenance is included - among other things.
I am including the link for HUD below - just click on the proper state and take it from there. You will need a minimal security deposit - which you can possibly get paid by social services or another charitable organization.
Regardless of how long the list is you should still be able to be put on the list. Contributed links:

* Some of the listings we have do charge very little fee.
* Some places they ask you for small donation. We still list them Free Medical clinicss/Clinics as they are almost free.
There is one listing which ask for $20.00 per visit. We considered listing them, we made a note in the listing that they charge. As long as we see a motive towards helping people who are in need of medical help we consider them Free Clinics (We agree that we are going away from "Free") but we know their effort is worth lot more to lots of people.
* Some are for low income people, some are for homeless
* Some only serve the local community residents.
* Some Clinics are specific to HIV treatment etc. (We list them as well)
We provide personal financial guidance to members of the public who cannot afford a financial advisor, or who are facing an immediate or unusual financial need.

If you are in search of assistance for yourself or someone you know, you should look in the community services section of your local telephone directory. You should find these pages in the front of your directory and should look for listings for American Red Cross, Catholic Charities or Catholic Social Services, The Salvation Army, United Way Information and Referral, or other non-profit service providers. You may also click on Funded Organizations, here or on the EFSP homepage, to find organizations funded through EFSP in your community who may be able to assist or refer you to the appropriate assistance.

I've never done anything like this before and I'm a little nervous but I need all the help I can get right now.
My baby got really sick a couple years and at the same time my husband got laid off from his job of 4 years due to the weather. We were already living check to check so it was only a short period of time before we ran out of money and got evicted from our home. We're a family of 5, our oldest was 5 years old at the time, and we ended up homeless for 8 months.
In that period of time of being homeless, we were in a car accident and my leg got broken. I went to the ER and was treated there and almost two months later I got the first bill. I wrote them back and explained the situation and asked if there was anything we could do to work together to pay the bill and they told me no, it had to be paid in 3 payments (which was $800 per payment) or paid in full. So I said there was nothing I could do, I don't have ANY money (which was the honest truth).
Then a few months later I got a letter from an attorney who said they were going to sue me for the money. So I called them and the lady I spoke with told me I was pathetic and if I couldn't pay the bill and new I couldn't pay it then I had no right to go to the doctor in the first place. They said they wouldn't accept any form of payments that the account had to made in full. I ended up hanging up on her and cried my eyes out.
I have sent them letters after letter stating that I have recently moved into a home and am looking for a job and as soon as I begin working I would pay them their money. This was 3 months ago and I haven't heard anything from them until today when I got another threatening letter from them saying they felt they now had no choice but to sue me for the funds and if the account wasn't paid in full in 30 days they'd take legal action.
I have no money!! It's not like I have a huge savings that I just don't want to touch, I really don't have any money. I live in a bad neighborhood, in an absolutely disgusting house (with no central heat or a/c). We burn a lot of candles cause they are cheaper than electricity. I receive food stamps and WIC and my kids are on Medicaid but this state doesn't offer any assistance for medical or bills to adults. My husband works 10 hours a day, 6 days a week and a lot of holidays and we make just enough to pay rent and what little utilities we have. We don't have a vehicle anymore because of the accident. I just don't have any money.
If they garnish my husband wages, we'll be homeless again. Like I said, he brings home just enough to pay our rent and utilities. If they take his wages we can't pay our rent or utilities anymore.
I know I owe this money, even if some of the charges are outrageously high, but I just don't have any money to pay them!!! How am I supposed to pay them if I don't have any money to give them? Can anyone help me?

I like to do volunteer work and help with children that lack basic needs. I love children, but have none of my own. I have helped out several single parent familes around the holidays for the past few years. I've found that some families need ongoing help all year and not just at the holiday season. I have been a public school employee for 22 years, and serve on a local church board. I prefer to help someone directly without going through an organization. I've done volunteer work before for organizations and was surprised at how much of the donated funding was spent on administrative expenses, and how little went to the recipients. I really like the concept of Aidpage.

Can't believe that I have been looking for help since Last year to keep from getting this way, and nothing but scammer after scammer gets in touch with me! there doesn't seem to be anyone out there anymore that has a soul that would or even could help anyone that is having trouble anymore. been working on getting things caught up but still falling behind with everrything going up all the time. just about can live or raise a family! want has this world gotten too. it's a shame! I pray all the time that things get better and so far nothing is working right for me. I have faith and my heart keeps telling me that things are going to get better, but I hope I'm not trying to raise a family in the streets by the time that this would come true. God Bless all of US!

In desperate need of help! For the past two years I have been having problems out of my now 14yr old son. My older son was shot five times because, my 14yr old had a charlie horse and kicked dirt on a young man's pants while they were at a park. Since then he has been acting out. I have have went above and beyond trying to get help and conseling for him. He was on the honor role and started receiving failing grades because he refused to gto school. I have went as far as filing an ungovernable petition to have him court ordered to go to school, stay from certain places and so-called friends. As a mother of four young men I try to be firm, but fair. My requirements of my children are simple, go to school, keep your room clean, don't use drugs and Be a Something and Somebody instead of a Nothing and Nobody! On March 04, 2008 my 14 year old son was home after refusing to go to school. I then questioned him about being home once again. He then started yelling at me, saying that "he hate me", and telling me that "he will Knock me out"! I threw a paint brush at him and he balled up his fist and said that, "he will knock me out".After being threatned by my on child I called 911 and I waited on the police.Once the police arrived one of the officers said that , "as a mother you have every right to discipline your children especially if they are rude and disrespectful". The officers then left and a female officer returned to tell me that she was training the other officer and he was wrong and that "I did not have a right to discipline". I was on the phone with my mother and I was telling her what the officer said. I explained to her that I work everyday and that My Children Must Abide By The Rules. She then told me to hang up the phone, but she never read me my rights or told me that she was placing me under arrest. I told her that "I did not do anything wrong". She then grabbed my arm and yelled for another officer, he came in and stomped on my foot and slapped me on my neck pulling me down the stairs. After falling down the stairs I was told if I did not put my hands behind my back they was going to taser me. They took me to the police station, although they never read me my rights. I told them that I needed medical care because I had no feeling in my toes and they were bleeding. I was taken to the hospital, once examined I had to get stitches in one of my toes and the other one was broken. I was then taken to PBSO Jail and booked on domestic battery on my son who was very disrespectful to me. Now I am on a leave from my job, because once release I was seen by two other doctors who refused to let me work due to foot, shoulder and lower back injuries I sustained from the Officers using excessive force. All I want to do is be the best mother to my children. It's so much crime and gang activity where we live and I don't want my kids to become apart of that. I am in need of some financial help or resources. If you can Help me please send the prayers, financial assistance or resource information to Juanetta Lewis 182 East 28th Street Riviera Beach, Florida 33404 or email me at Lewis2davis@aol.com .Thank you in advance, pray for me and God Bless You!
I am 48 and a father of six. I have 7 dependants. -I have not been working for almost 4 years. Life is becoming difficult. Employers are not very keen to employ persons who are over 40. There a plenty of young graduates out there searching for employments. These graduates are not particulars how much they get pay as long as there are works. I have tried and attended so many interviews but failed to secure any jobs. Household bills are accumulating. House loan has to be serviced and has not been serviced for 6 months. To sustain the family, I do all kind of works. I cut grass, collecting aluminium cans, wash plates etc. The money is not much but at lease i could provide some foods for the family.
I am appealing to those with kind hearts to extend some financial assistant in the form of small donation. May God bless you all.
With this donation, I would start some small business and sustain my family.
Donation could be forwarded via Debit Card.
