AidPage is a great idea! I have always wanted to donate some of my spare time to help people in need, right here from my office. And here I found AidPage where I can hopefully use my research skills to help some of the people seeking financial and other help with valuable information resources. Besides, I am curious to find out what really is available out there from the governments and private sources that may match some of the needs posted here on AidPage.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Scholarships are FREE

Scholarships are FREE

Most people going to college get one scholarship and then apply for a student loan to cover the rest of their educational expensis.   This is OK, but student loans have to be paid back.  They cannot be forgiven even with Bankruptcy.  The only way out of a student loan is by dying or becoming so disabled that you can not work.

But there is no need to get a student loan.  You can get as many scholarships as you want to pay for your schooling.  There is no limit on how many you can have.  And you can get grants to pay for all the rest.  All it takes is a little effort on your part to hunt down and apply for these scholarships and grants.

Go to www.yourgrant.com/scholarship.htm and check it out.  With a little effort and study on your part, you could go to college FREE.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR MY SON

MY SON GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL IN 2005.  HE RECENTLY MARRIED AND IS SEEKING EMPLOYMENT.  HE ORIGINALLY WANTED TO ATTEND AN AUTOMOTIVE TRAINGING SCHOOL (ATI OR LINCOLN TECH),.  HE HAS RECEIVED ONE SCHOLARSHIP IN THE AMOUNT OF 1000.00.  HE DID RECEIVED 4000.00 FOR A PELL GRANT.  THE SCHOOL IS OVER 20,000.00 AND WE CAN NOT AFFORD THE DIFFERENCE WE HAVE TO COME UP WITH FOR HIM TO CONTINUE HIS EDUCATION.  I HAVE TERRIBLE CREDIT AND CAN NOT GET THE STUDENT LOAN FOR HIM.  HE AND HIS WIFE STRUGGLE NOW WITH JUST NORMAL LIVING EXPENSES.  IT SEEMS SO UNFAIR HE HAS WORKED SO HARD TO GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL AND IS VERY DISCOURAGED AT THIS POINT.  HE HAS HAD A HARD TIME FINDING A JOB AND I DONT WANT HIM TO LOSE HOPE.  PLEASE TELL ME WHERE TO TURN TO FOR HELP.

THANK YOU

Currently I am working in India but as everyone knows when Indian salries when converted in US dollars it becomes a very meagre . I earn around $400 a month. Even if I save 50% of this I will not be able to make up for my college eduaction.

I am planning to take Loans from Banks, but still I need around $20000 more.

Some please lend me the amount, I will return it to you with bank interest, I don't have any co-signer in US.

I am a disabled student needs college money

I am a college student that is looking for additional, grant, scholarship, or otherwise funds for a four year college.

Small business start-up...

I am a self-employed contractor, since 1990. I have many years experience operating bulldozers and backhoes, for excavating and demolition work. I now am at the age where I realized that I can purchase the equipment instead of renting it. I found a used equipment dealer in Dallas, that will sell me $130,000.00 worth of equipment for $70,000.00 if I buy a Dump Truck, Backhoe,Trailer and Bobcat Loader all at once.
I have potential deals with local builders and Contractors to do work for them at the rate of $125.00/HR..
This would enable me to repay a loan in a timely manner. My problem is that when I was a Teenager, I destroyed my credit rating, thus have been doing cash transactions my entire life. I now have a 7 Mo. old son, and am trying to build a scholarship fund for him so he won't have to struggle like I did.

scholarship or grant needed

I am a grad student studying Instructional Design for Online Learning.  My school requires residencies which are not covered by my financial aid.  I am in need of grants or scholarships to cover the $5000 for this by fall 2006.  Please let me know if you can help.

I am so proud and excited for my daughter!!

She has been accepted as a People to People International Student Ambassador for the 2007 summer trip to England, Scotland, Ireland and Whales (British History Trip). Students are only able to go on these trips if they have been recommended by a previous delegate or if a certian teachers have referred them. Approximatley 1% of the student population ever has this oppertunity made to them.

She has been asked 4 times previously to join them for trips but this is the 1st year I felt she was old enough to look into going. However the tuition for the trip is $5883.00 of which Mandy has figured out how to earn $3045.00.

We are looking for benefactors and scholarships for the rest of her tuition and emergency funds while she is over seas.

Mandy currently attends High School full time, works 15 – 20 hours a week at a daycare center and baby-sits, cleans and animal sets for various people to earn money. We have taught her that working instead of asking for handouts are the way to live. Sounds good, but now my 14 year old is more worried about  working then she is spending any time relaxing or seeing friends. She talked last night about not going on this amazing trip because that same money could buy a car. I believe this is very deep thinking for any teen and I want to make sure that she does not miss this incredable experience.

She gains 12 hours of college credit and ½ a semester of History credit for H.S.

I am looking for good, honest ideas, and help to make her dream a reality.

Looking for Money for PA education

Hello, my name is Eric Valdez and I am looking for money to go to college.  Normally I don't like to ask for help but in this case I need it.  My famliy is low-income and can't in any way help me pay for college.  I am looking to go to the University of Pittsburgh and that will cost me about 25,000 a year and that is just for tuition.  I am trying to apply to every scholarship in sight and I hope I get some sort of financial aid from the university.  If I can pay for college my goal will be to get my master's in the science of nursing and be a physician's assistant.  If anybody out there can help me meet my goal please e-mail me at lightofdawn22@aim.com.  I know putting a post on this thing is a long shot but I hope that someone can please help.

Sincerely,

Eric Valdez

Mom Scholarships

Hi everyone!  I'm a working mom who would like to advance her career in an effort to earn more money, and better support my children.  My job offers a very small college tuition program ($2,000 a fiscal year - that will buy some books!), but I need help finding money to cover the rest of it.

I currently work at an agency which supports people with various disabilites.  I would love to stay in the field, but move up through the "corporate" part of the agency.  I have a bachelor's, but most jobs above mine require at least a masters.

So, long story not so short, I'm looking to see if anyone knows where a mom can get a scholarship to continue her education, and how to avoid all those "free money" scams.

Thanks for your time.  Appreciate the thought

Private school aid
Note: This aidpage was started as a comment on "Aidpage of Ezislelife"

I am a newly single mother of 2 living in Hawaii and working 2 jobs just to pay rent. I am looking for any help in keeping my 10 yr old son enrolled in private school. Tuition is $9,500 a year. I still owe $5,600 this year and next years tuition is coming up. Because I am now single I can get a small scholarship for next years tuition.I did not apply this year because I thought my husband would pay for it! If any of you know of any private school scholarships or grants I can apply for, that would be very helpful. My son has been student of the month representing the whole school for the topic of compassion, integrity, and friendship the last 3 years. He is a very smart boy and he's been through enough this year without me having to pull him out of his school also. Any suggestions will be very appreciated. Thanks ezislelife@hotmail.com
Disabled and would like to finish college

I have been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and panic attacks.  Subsequently, I have lost my job and currently have no income.  I would like to find a grant or scholarship to help me finish my studies in Psychology, so I may once again obtain employment.

Looking for financial assistance

According to my FASFA I make too much money to qualify for federal grants.  I'd really like to know how their so-called formula came out saying I make too much money!  I can barely pay all the bills each month.  I'm looking for information on scholarships, loans, or grants to continue my education.  I'm working on my bachelor's degree in operations management.  I have completed the core requirements and am now ready to begin classes in my area of concentration.  Unfortunately, I can no longer afford to go to school.  I have been working my way through college for the last 11 years.  I can never seem to qualify for any financial aid yet I don't have enough income left at the end of the month to put enough away for school.  It is my one dream to finish my degree and finally complete this long journey.  Please, can't someone help me?

Medical School Scholarship

I found it really hard to navigate through the federal scholarships.  I'm in a 6 year medical program with Penn State and Jefferson Medical School, and on my own next year for medical school, financially.  I was wondering where would I be able to find a scholarship to apply to, maybe federally, where I have a chance of recieving financial assistance, not based on need. I've tryed various scholarship search engines, and was highly unsucessful in finding a scholarship to apply to. Any ideas? Thanks so much.

Early High School Grad. Seeks Financial Assistance For Higher Education

I graduated from high school a year early, and have been accepted to college, but because of my early grad. and other obstacles, I am not eligible for certain aid which is necessary in order for me to attend school this fall. I wish to study religion and philosophy, as well as education, as I am exploring my Calling... At this point, I feel led to work in youth ministry.
