I live in Daleville, AL, home to Ft. Rucker Aviation  -- helicopter headquarters of the Army. Single, but in a fabulous relationship; 48 yrs. old, but I look pretty darn good for an old lady; mom to 2 boys who are adults (kinda); own a greyhound named Murphy who was adopted from Ebro Race Track, Florida; live in a very very hot state where the corn crop has literally burned before our eyes.  I have a 89 Chevy Cavalier Z24 that is sitting in my driveway and needs a starter (it's really a cool car).  I was born in Germany and I am a US citizen.  I sang in a collegiate choir for 7 years with little 18, 19 and 20 yr. old babies and even got asked out on a date by one of them (I didn't go -- married at the time, plus my oldest son would have had a stroke).  My eyebrows are tatooed on.  I got it done in 1999 after years of penciling them on like a 40's movie star or a hooker.  My kids were horrified if I took them to school without them on. I taught junior high drama for 7 years at a Catholic school (what a trip -- I'm still recovering).  I have been a Boy Scout leader for over 12 years (I did give it up last year after my son got his Eagle Scout badge).  I met Robert Beltran (First Officer Chakotay) from Star Trek Voyager and John deLancie who played Q in Star Trek Next Generation at separate Sci-Fi conventions in Cleveland. I am dying of kidney disease. I was waiting for a kidney, and now I have one. My sister will donate on September 19, 2006 at University of Alabama at Birmingham Transplant Center.

I will need some help paying for things that the insurance won't cover. Every little bit helps and I will also pledge to help my friend Shirley at the dialysis clinic with some of her bills, too. She has absolutely no support network.

    I am a single mother of 2 beautiful children and I go to school full time therefore I am not able to work.  I provide 100% of all the care for both children with no help!  I am having a really hard time right now as my financial aid grant has been stretched to the pennies but the school recieved 99% of it anyway.  I would really like some advice or help!  Gas was shut off, rent, electric, and water are all due and I of course hardly have the money for diapers!  Someone PLEASE help I am desperate! I had a major car accident in June of this year - I was run off the road and hit a tree - the other driver left the scene and I was knocked unconcious - I was left with a broken back and had to recover in the hospital.  My truck was totalled - the insurance didn't cover anything.  A friend gave me an old car but it just died - I have been working hard to try to get caught up - Since I now have no car and no funds I am left without a vehcile to get to work and make money.  There are no bus lines in the small city I live in and I have no family to speak of to help me.  My childrens father is not to be found and abandoned our family 6 years ago.  I have worked very hard to provide for my 3 sons - and purchased a home this past January.  Now - I am behind on my new mortgage due to the accident and have over $20k in doctor bills.  I am willing to pay back anyone who would give me a loan.  I am desperate at this point and really need help.

I was declared disabled in 2004, a couple of years after the loss of my son.  I have Epilepsy and the multitude of seizures I endured really took a toll on my mind and body.  I now have three beautiful children, all boys (8, 6 and 2 months).  Originally from the midwest but currently living in the south.  I left my house and home a year and a half ago and moved in with the father of my 2 month old, who I met online about five years ago.  He has now decided that he wants to live alone and I am having so much trouble getting fiding a place of my own here.  The cost of living out here is a lot higher than the midwest.  I am having issues even locating a home due to the fact that I only receive disability as an income.  I can do the 2bedroom hotel suite live in thing with all utilities paid but that will only leave me with $76 a month left over.  We all know money can speak louder than words and with the right amount I am sure I can find someplace for us to live.  I would love to own a home but that dream is far fetched as long as I remain ill.  Now I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place because eventually I will not have a stable roof over our heads if I try to stay out here in TX.  I have made a grave mistake by leaving my home to pursue what I had hoped to be a happy family.  No point in crying over spilled milk, we all make mistakes and everything happens for a reason.  Whatever blessings that could be brought my way would be greatly appreciated.  I love my children and if asking for help can help better our situation then I will no longer let my pride stand in the way of that.

We have found and located a place back in MO.  Thanks to all for the nice comments and prayers.  Now I only need them for one more thing.  The father of my newborn ran off with him in the middle of the night.  Please pray for my family and the safe return of my son.

I am a single mom aged 41. i'd like to try to buy a house for my very small family. i want to give my daughter some stability. however. i cannot afford it, because i have an overwhelming school debt hanging over my head. any tips or suggestions on how to pay it back or have some of it forgiven would be most appreciated.

also, the father of my baby will not get a job and pay his support to her. it is causing quite a lot of strain on my finances also...

any help would be paid forward as soon as possible in any way i can.

Hey  !! My name is Crystal Coleman I am 20 yrs old and I have two twin boys that are Five months old and their names are Trevor & Leland . They are my Life. . To start off. Evey since I was little I was always in a family that did drugs and stayed in trouble I never knew my mom very well because she was in and out of jail, and I finally met my real dad when I turned 18YRS.I grew up with two brothers one is in jail now and has been in jail since he was 16. My little brother in in high school now and it is his senior year. When i was little i was sexual molested by my Uncle.. I felt that i could not tell anyone but when i did i told my Grandparents because they were the one we called mom and dad . When i told them they didnt belive me so the sent me off to live with my aunt here in Texas.. When i moved here i was treated like crap i had to go to school, cook dinner , wash dishes , wash clothes, clean my aunts room and rub her feet in the middle of a a school night . Her thought on school was that it came after what she wanted me to do for her! I belived in school first .. Anyways I finally ran away from her house at the age of 17 , from their i lived from house to house, and went to school. Thats when i met my husband , I fell in love i thought he was the real thing so we got married Oct 28, 2006 , but little did i know that when I said i do i would be put threw Physicaly and Emotional abuse. ( I got married at 18) I just put up with the abuse because i had no family to run to ... When i got married i was still in High School my husband didnt want me to go to school because he thought i would flirt with the boys , and he didnt want me to go on any school trips for all the same reasons.. Well thats when it all strarted the first time he just punched me in the face once and called me many names but I belived that he loved me so I didnt want to leave him.. But i did and when I had no were to turn to or no one to turn to I went back to him ... and the abuse got worse i had just had my gawbladder taken out when he decided to beat me the second time i was on the couch he decided that he wanted me to go to bed with him and i told him i was not ready for bed that i would be in the room in a min , well he didnt like that he followed me to the bath room and beat me in the shower , when he was beating me I went into an asthma attack and and refused to give me my medication. I left him that time for the second time. But as you might know already i went back because i felt in love and i felt that I couldn't live with out him. The third time he beat me he stopped in the middle of the high way and was yelling at me i told him to get out and let me drive because he was driving crazy because a EMS worker waved at me , when he got out of his little blue GMC truck i slidded over to the drivers side and as i was reaching for the door my husband grabed the door and slamed my head and arm in it many times and left me on the side of the road . This time i was determined i was not going back to him my aunt let me move in and while i was at school she also let him move in felt traped so i was with him again.. The Last time he beat me i was pregnate My friend was going to throw a graduation party for me because i had grauated well i was maken glasses for my party that said Senior Class Of 2007 and in the middle of maken a glass my husband asked me a question I didnt understand him so i asked him what he said and he started beating me, little did i know i was pregnant he held me in a conner and beat me and when i tryied to call the cops he took the phone and beat me more and the tore the house phone out of the wall and called his step mom and told her not to let me use the phone... I got out and when i did i went to the hospital and i found out i was pregnant 2 weeks later i was so excited but when i went to the hospital i found out that i was suspost to have triplets but when my husband beat me i lost a child. I was so upset with him, i couldnt figure out why he would beat me so much and just think everything was ok. I stayed away from my husband for 4 months and then i decided i was going to give him one more chance and this time it was not for me it was for the kids.. Well i didnt go threw physical abuse this time it was all emotional abuse this last time and i ended up having my babys earily because of all of stress and stuff he made me do , When i had the kids i thought it would change my kids lived in the hospital for 35 days after they were born i never got to touch my babys when they were born just a little while after they were in the hospital. They had so many cords on them because i had them 2 months earily. I went everyday to see my babys and my husband started getting jelious so i told him he better fix his act because if he didnt that the kids and i was leavin because we didnt have to put up with his crap. When the babys got out it was getting worse he didnt want me to have anything to do with my kids, and remember me telling you that my kids are my world well my kids gave me the strength to leave him for good , I went to a Family Abuse Center for a week now im living with a friend and i am getting a divorce. Every now and then I think mabey I should just go back because it might be easyier to just live with him because I have no car , no money and no house, but you know what  I refuse to go back to him when im breaking down and thinking about going back I listen to music . I Call this a Lesson Learned, and hold my two wonderful boys . Because it was a lesson Learned . I learned the hard way , but alway turn to god even when no one eles is their he is!! God knows what i went threw and he will take care of it at the end!!

I am starting on one of the scariest times in my life. I am about to become a single mom of 3 girls after 14yrs of marraige, I want to get an apartment and can not afford the security dep, once Im there I can afford the monthly rent........I need to leave him and his drug problems, I have believed him one too many times and now Its time I do not want to take money from him or give him the option of saying, It was my money that helped you......if there is someone out there who can help or an orgination I would so appreciate it.

Hi My name is Anna. I am a single mom with a teeenage son and a elderly mom living with me. I recenlty lost my job and have been looking for work with no dispare. It has been almost two months now and It is geting harder to pay the bills. I was being optomistic last month beleiving I would get a job before my next car payment was due but, now I am getting desprate. I am trying to get cash by selling things on creiglist.com but have gotten no hits on it at all. I make 720. on unemployment and receive 900.00 for child support which you might think that would be great money but, not when you were living beyond your means. My rent is 1200.00 a month wish I could move but, can't afford it right now. Car payment is 500. with insurance. Need car to find a job and get to work when I get a job. State can't help beleive or not I make to much money....to qulify for any assitants. I am putting out atl east 10 applications a week to find a job. I went to two interviews this week alone. Waiting to hear something. But, until then I need help. Donations or I will be willing to sell most of my belongs to keep afloat til I get the job. If you can help in any way I would love to hear form you. And I pledge not to forget any help that I may receive, by when I get back on my feet  will help some who needs help.
