This page has been created to help raise money to aid in my daughter Allanas treatment and recovery. Accepting donations thru paypal, check or in any other form....Please help...Contact me and help us put up a fight for our daughter!!

In December of 2004 my daughter was diagnosed with a rare condition called Severe Idiopathic Infantile Scoliosis. Now Scoliosis can be somewhat common in adolescent children but is very rare in children under 3. As a fact of matter less then 1-2% of children under the age of 3 in the world will ever get this and less then 10% of those children will ever need treatment, my daughters condition is considered so rare because her spine developed below her left shoulderblade and has deformed her ribcage due to the bend in her back, possibly causing problems with things like her breathing and putting pressure on her heart. Even if we get her spine straightnened, she very well will still need rib replacement surgery.

This condition is treatable and she will go on to hopefully lead a somewhat normal life, but currently requires surgery every 6 weeks and she will need therapy and bracing probably until she is 14 and has stopped developing and will probably need some sort of treatment for the rest of her life.

Shriners childrens hospital in Portland Oregon has been a god send and is taking care of surgery and medical needs by donation for us after our insurance company dropped us with no warning and has been everything to us. But we are experiencing other expenses we cannot afford. We have to drive a thousand miles round trip every 6 weeks for her surgeries and they do not pay for things like hotel. Also we have had to continously buy new clothes to fit her in her casts and special shoes due to her delayed walking, car seats to transport her in, Pediasure to boost her weight (risser casts can be hard on little bodies, destroying up to 10% of her muscles)and various other things included other medical visits outside of Shriners that we have to keep. Me and my husband both work, but with 2 children and bills, it seems impossible to keep up.

We are desperate for any kind of assistance or help, would be greatly appreciated, and smiled upon by our daughter. Please help us at the shot we might be able to give her a somewhat normal life with the help of kind souls. I love everyone for there help, if even just reading this has brought a little attention to other people with this disorder.

Please contact me with any info, questions or donations or even just to see more pictures of my little Allana!!

Levi is suffering with seizures and has been strongly advised to have a CAT scan and spinal fluid tap to find the cause.

First things first: Hello!  My name is Carol and I am writing for my 2 year old puppy, Levi.  I saw him in a pet store window when he was five months old (the oldest puppy there)- a mix of Lord only knows and he stole my heart with his bright blue eyes and bounds of energy.  He is my first dog and I can honestly say I had no idea what I was getting into.  (Does anybody really?!)  He's been patient with me though, and he has taught me about truly selfless love.

How it started: In October last year Levi had his first seizure.  After seeing the vet I was told that it may be the only one he ever has and was sent home.  In November he had the second.  That one was over thirty minutes of back to back legs thrashing, lips curled over teeth, buckets of drool pouring out of his mouth, followed by very heavy breathing technically called Grand Mal seizures.  He was immediately put on an anti-seizure drug, Phenobarbital, with regular check ups.  In December he had another, and another on January 1st.

The last weekend in January he had 9 grand mal seizures in three days.  I took him to the emergency vet clinic Sunday night but didn't have the 800 dollars they were going to charge for me to leave him there over night for medicine and care.  I took him home then to the vet on Monday and was sent home with a higher dose of Phenobarbital.  Tuesday morning when I was getting ready for work in the morning I noticed facial ticks and body shakes - what is medically called Petit Mal seizures.  I took him to the vet again - in the 7 minute ride to the vet he had two in the car and waiting to see the vet he had countless more.  He was put on Potassium Bromide as a supplement to the Phenobarbital as well as Diazepam - or Valium.  They convinced me to keep him overnight.  The next day I called an animal neurologist and made an appointment.  It was at that appointment 3 days later that I found out my dog had not only been misdiagnosed as Epileptic but was also taking medicine that was toxic to him.

He still needs tests to find out what the cause of the seizures are, but thankfully he is taking seizure medicine that is not toxic for him.  The tests that need to be run are between 2 and 3 thousand dollars.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Friday July 29th: As an update Levi was doing much better for aproximately a month and a half but the seizures have returned and the need to get levi the test is increasing.  The money that has been generously donated thorough pop cans as well as monetary donations has been instramental in getting Levi his daily medicine and frequent follow-up tests he needs to check his blood and Potassiam Bromide levels.

Levi had another seizure this morning and the test that the money is being raised for would scan his brain and spine to see if the cause can be found there.  The neurologist believes this will answer the big question as to what is causing these seizures.

Community caring: I am 25 and just starting out at my first 9 to 5 job.  I have spent everything I had saved and have run out of funds.  That doesn't mean that I have run out of hope or willpower to do everything I can for Levi.  I mentioned at work that I was thinking of a bake sale and I was given the idea for a can/bottle drive.  That same day I was given 66 dollars in cans to return from employees at the market research company I work for.  The next day an anonymous donor put 150 dollars on my account at the vet neurologist I was going to see on Saturday.  I have posted well over 700 fliers on doors in and around the neighborhood I live in and was given over 800 dollars in both can/bottle donations and money with encouraging notes and letters (one of notes mentioned this website to check out).  I am so appreciative for each and every thoughtful word and donation!

What more could I ask: If you are looking at this website because of a flier I put on your door, thank you.  Any amount of cans or bottles helps a great deal!  As an update - I have been out posting fliers for Levi four weekends.  The last time I was out - in mid-may was the best weekend yet.  It is so encouraging to see the gap between the cost and the total amount raised get smaller.

Monetary contributions are, of course, welcome and necessary to get Levi the help he needs.  The neurosurgeon said the CAT scan and Spinal Fluid Tap will cost anywhere from 2,000 to 3,000 dollars.  The animal hospital has an account there, if you would like to donate directly to Oakland Veterinary Referral Services, "OVRS", please call them at 248-334-6877.  I believe you will need to know my name, Carol Denton, and please mention that the donation is for Levi.  I also have a PO box for anyone who would like to make a contribution through US mail.  The address is:

Carol Denton - PO Box 1033 - Union Lake, MI 48387

Kind words of encouragement or suggestions on other money raising ideas would also be welcome and very helpful. Feel free to contact me through US mail or email me at helplevi@hotmail.com

Hope: I know the road ahead is a long one, but with faith and a lot of work Levi and I will both make it out at the end, stronger, happier, and much more healthy.

I am a disabled vietnam era veteran. About two years ago I suffered two strokes and saw first hand the obstacles that people and families in need go thru when they are struck with an unforeseen incident. The world can turn into a cruel and cold and lonely place. It seems that the only visitors that approach you are people that want to take their pound of flesh. All the collectors come to collect their debts and there is no way of holding them off. Sometimes families are forced to make harsh and rash decisions just in order to survive the tradegy.

I do not want anyone to feel the way that I did when I had my strokes. Dealing with the feeling of complete loss and disarry of your life only compounds itself on your situation. It harms both you and the family around you in so many ways. The emotional, physical and financial strain can become unbearable. Along with the illness and long sleepless nights you are also plagued with the ever approaching feeling of doom. THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO SURVIVE!!!

I was able to first hand experience this and to speak with others that have gone through these incidents also. There are a few basic needs that must be met in order to get through this crisis safely and remain in a stable environment.

Basic needs include but are certainly NOT limited to:

Food / Shelter / Medical Care

Knowing that someone cares and that there are people who can or want to help, makes a big difference in bridging the gap to becoming healthy and viable again.

What I have decided to do and wish to attempt to pass on to people are both the basic needs and the knowledge that there are others that care and sympathize with people in need.

I hope to help bridge the gap between the needs and the needy!

I am starting a non-profit organization to help veterans and their families cope with the difficult and rocky time between receiving either their benfits or their pension. I wish to exted this service also to the homeless in need.

I need help to get this venture started. Any help from you would help out the cause greatly!!!  One of the things that we need too do is purchase wholesale/discount/surplus items to raise  funds for the cause.
We can't do this without you and there are people waiting to be helped. Please help us bridge the gap between the needed and needy.

I want to be an organization that ACTUALLY helps, not just a name that people are turned away from when they are in need.

Hello, I am a 36 year old woman with what one doctor called the worst teeth he had ever seen.  My problem is that my upper jaw grew side ways taking my face with it.

This can only be correct through Orthodontics and Surgery at the tune of $45,000.  Of course, this is way out of my budget.  Since I was not raised to feel sorry for myself I learned to hide my smile and go on with my life.  All in all, I don't see myself as a person with really bad teeth unless I look in a mirror or at a picture of myself.

Every once in a while I get hopeful that I can have a nice smile.  I hear about smile makeovers and think, "Maybe, someone can give me one."  It would look very good for the people who volunteer to help me.

I cannot count how many times I have looked at Before and After pics on websites and think, "God, I wish I had the teeth before.  They are so much better than mine."  I am offering a challenge to an Orthodontist and an Oral Surgeon:  Is anyone willing to tackle a career Orthodontics challenge?

I am a Single mother of a beautiful 12 year old daughter and 15 year old handsome son.  I am sure they think their mother is a strong individual but lately I am wondering what they are thinking when I avoid the normal daily purchases, such as toilet paper,.. use the shower!...I am struggling with telling them that things might be falling apart.

Feeling the strength of the movie "Fun with Dick and Jane" the movie seems to help me through the day. When I remember how Dick lost his mind and stole the yard pieces to make one moment of happiness for his beautiful wife.  Then I realize I don't have a DICK!

Wanting to know where my self confidence is with the economy and living with in the means of frugality has no bearing on what is really happening...the loss of the farm!

Looking around the bear house for something to sell / pawn or hock (without the little ones noticing the house looking more streamlined) all I have are the rocks outside and maybe a pile of pecans that have fallen from the trees and left by the squirrels.  I wonder What is road base going for these days?

"Our only hope ls our children and olderfolk," Good God in heaven knows, the "powers that be" sure won't change their ways and help the backbone of america. Things went bad when we started moving Grandpa & Grandma out of the home into oldfolks homes. The kids lost precious teachings that are vital to life. The olderfolk lost their reason to be. All in the name of Bigger, better, faster and longer! We have a vast number of children lost in fostercare, on the street, and in broken homes. And with the great number of functioning olderfolk lets take some of the failing family farms and put them together? This is my idea. The children have not only lost the joys and lessons that Mom and Dad have no time to teach. But what is more, They don't learn how to be Human. Look around, We are in deep we must begin with our children so that when they are "The powers that be" they wil treat their familys with a bit more Humanness. One farm is all we need to start.   A. $1.00 donation to  help me have a baby!!

I have had 4 miscarriages and the last miscarraige did not pass.  I carried a dead  fetus mummified for 6 months due to not having health insurance.  I was forced to go to an abortin clinic to get my self cleaned out.

In doing so I have recently found out the d/c cleaning has caused me so much scar tissue I am unable to get pregnant until I have this surgery. I do not have health insurance. The surgery is very expensive.

I know people do not have a lot of money in this day in age. I am just asking for $1.00 donations hoping enough people will donate in giving me the chance to have a baby.

Thank everyone who read this and sent a $1.00 donation.  You can send paypal payments to sacramento_girl95610@yahoo.com

A little background information. I am 40, almost 41 years old, married with two beautiful daughters ages 8 and 5 and disabled since April 2001. I receive Social Security Disability but we all know that it does not come close to a regular pay check. Before I got sick, my wife and I were both working and our combined income was close to $85K per year. I began getting sick in 1999 with acid reflux or GERD. I went through every drug on the market and using each above the recommended maximum dosage with little or no relief. When it began eating away at the lining of my esophagus to the point I was developing holes in the lower portion near the point where it connects to the stomach and spilling into my lungs so badly that they thought I had developed asthma, their only other option for me was a surgical procedure called fundoplication. This procedure takes the upper portion of the stomach and and wrap it around the esophagus to tighten the valve to prevent the acid from coming back up and to cover the holes. It was supposed to be a laproscopic procedure where I had it done on one day, spend the night in the hospital and go home the next morning. My maximum time off work was to be two weeks. I actually left the hospital on the day I was supposed to return to work. When I kind of came to on the first day after having the laproscopic procedure go so badly that I had to be opened up the full length of my abdomin so that they could try to fix what they did that almost killed me plus I was in intensive care. The next day, they did a test where I drank some awful tasting mess so they could check for any leaks in my stomach or anything. Guess what, they stated that they found leaks and back into the operating room I went where they took everything they did the day before apart and did it all again. This time when I woke up, again in intensive care, I was on a ventolator for a week. They took the thin lining that is between your organs and your skin to keep then from growing to each other to wrap my stomach and seal off the 3 or 4 places that it tore open during the laproscopic surgery. During the first, laproscopic, surgery, in addition to my stomach tearing open in 3 places, my liver was cut/damaged to the point that the gave me at least 4 units of blood. I haven't been able to work since then. I have constant diarrhea, abdominal pain which is increased when I eat anything at all, on a scale of 1 to 10, I stay around 8 or 9 all the time. I also have a partial small bowel obstruction that will eventually have to be surgically fixed. The obstruction(s) are caused from the extreme amount of scar tissue that I have in my abdomin which is why they don't want to operate again until they absolutely have to. I have been admitted to the hospital 12 times in just the past 3 years and have already had to have surgery to correct a blockage in my colon. My small intestines, colon and I don't know what else is attached to my skin where the lining was removed. I cannot lift anything more than 5 to 7 pounds, pull, strain, climb, crawl  nor stand, sit or lye down for more than about an hour and a half at a time because of the pain. I also have areas that are close to herniating which will also cause another surgical procedure. When they admit me for a blockage, I spend a week there with a tube down my nose (NG Tube), in my stomach connected to a suction pump to pull all of that stuff back out and clear the blockage, for then anyway. One, I cannot even stand to think about any other surgery and two, the doctors don't want to do it either.  In addition to all of that, and I left some things out, I have degenerative disk disease in my back, my spine has lost it's curve at the end where the tail bone is. Also, I have to sleep with a CPAP machine because of sleep apneia and have to take medicine during the day because I also have narcolepsy. Dealing with all of this has caused depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder from the surgery. I still and always will deal with these health issues and mental stress from now on. Because of all of my problems, it's obvious that my wife had to leave her job to care for my and our children so we have been trying to make it on Social Security Disability which is getting harder and harder every day. We have already gone through our savings and 401(k)'s to survive and keep our home and a vehicle. Our credit is shot because we have had the 2 cars that we had when this all happened repossessed. Also, all of the other credit we had then, fell behind and pretty much totally destroyed our credit. We are behind one house payment and the mortgage company is a pain to deal with and absolutely refuse to offer any assistance at all. I am still trying to pay some on my hospital co-payments that are now pushing a total of close to $10K and I never know from day to day when I may have to go back. Plus, like everyone else, I have the normal power, phone, cable, water, trash pickup, car payment, car insurance, homeowners insurance, food and school things for our girls. We also heat and cook using propane gas. We have been without propane for 95% of the winter and we are out now which means we heat with small electric heaters and cook on a hot plate, microwave or small toaster oven. Right this moment, we have a total of maybe $5 to last two more weeks and it's about to drive us crazy. We can't cook, heat nor watch TV because the cable has been turned off until I can get money to pay them in two weeks. I am the type of person who hates to have to ask others for help. I would rather help others than to ask for help but I don't have much of a choice right now. Our families, our church and our friends have been great during all of this but they all have their own bills and families to take care of also. Any help would greatly be appreciated! May God bless you!

Mother cant afford bills

Hello -

My mother had to have open heart surgery not so long ago. The recovery had her down for awhile. Needless to say she got really behind on her bills. I am an only child and pretty much live paycheck to paycheck as well. We are doing everything we can to try to get everything paid off. But, so often it seems as if we are robbing peter to pay paul. I don't really know how this site works. But, if there is any one out there who would care enough to help an older woman get back on her feet, it would be greatly appreciated. You can contact me at wild_heart_@hotmail.com

Thank you so much!!

I am really sorry that your adorable puppy is going through such a horable ordeal. I just bought my future step daughter a puppy from the Humane Society named Chico. I understand the love of a pet. Im praying for both of you.
Surgery- We drove from N.H. to New York City on Valentines Day 2007 for 10 hours in that blizzard for help from a Kidney Specialist. Her Kidney will be fixed by surgery by April 1st, 2007, but the 7 month struggle has drained us financially.

Everyone who has emailed me so far has been spam mail. I really could use some help from anybody real out there.

My girlfriend has a UPJ obstructed kidney- we have all the scans posted at the end of this. She has been really sick since August 2006- Our upcoming surgery on March 31st helps, but we are BROKE and need help from this. Pleasee READ:

I am a 28 year old hard working professional. I swallow my pride before you today and ask for financial help.

Technically her problem is called a UPJ obstruction - the surgery to repair it is called a Robotic Assisted Pyleoplasty.

We are focused and tough, and have been unrelenting in our pursuit of the Doctor's help and a resolution. Elizabeth's kidney problem has been going on for 7 months now, and just when we think it will only be a couple more days or weeks till they fix it, the doctors pushed it off for months. Please read on if you want to make a difference in a few good people's lives: We are volunteers in the community, working for Meals on Wheels, Make a Wish Foundation and donate money for hungry people at the grocery store etc.

-We could use some real help financially.

History of what is happening to us: My 27 year old girlfriend is hard working, and is employed as a contractor for an Insurance company. Additionally, she is getting an accelerated MBA at the University of New Hampshire through this pain and mess (only because she started the class work before this sickness). She is knee deep in school debt and can¡¦t delay her education since she will default on loans. We are counting on an increase in her salary to help us out of debt when she graduates (which won¡¦t be until July). She is a real trooper and I only wish I was the one with the problem. Telling her Brett Favre played through a few games with a broken thumb used to keep her spirits up, but not so much anymore.

In August of 2006, she had severe nausea & shooting pain through the back and right flank- it was a mystery illness at the hospital for the first few visits and they thought it was stones but none of the scans such as the IVP Ultrasounds and Cat-Scan without contrast showed anything. Meanwhile her pain every night was ratcheting up, and on the 1-10 scale nurses use went from 4s, to 5s and then 7, 8s and then off the chart. :(

The Urologists in N.H. were scratching their heads and passed the buck- referring us to a specialist in Burlington, M.A. at the Lahey Clinic. A few weeks later due to their schedule, the Specialist there conducted a CT scan with contrast and the culprit could be seen from a mile away. Her right renal pelvis was huge and blown up, her kidney was not draining due to crossing vessels carrying blood to that part of the body were actually constricting and pinching shut the drainage ureter from that kidney.

A stent was placed inside that pinched ureter to force it open. She felt better, and a final test called a pyleogram was done to prove this was indeed the real culprit. It was, and she tested fully obstructed.

This doctor at the Lahey clinic is good, almost too good. All his patients are terminal with kidney and bladder cancer etc, and my girlfriend is not. He could not do the surgery until April 1st, and it will take 20-30 days for her to recover from then! We respect and understand that others have it worse then us. I feel horrible that there are worse than this scenarios. But again, this has been devastating for us since August- we actually missed Thanksgiving and told ourselves that we would not miss Christmas! Hah! The shifting goal posts were difficult to deal with emotionally for her. She just wants to be healthy. She does not give a squat about money.

Although she is not terminal, she is still in a lot of pain. It comes from the now floppy extra renal pelvis and an extra vein blocking stuff, and the temporary stent aggravating everything from her kidney to her bladder. (she actually had the stent replaced with another due that they can only be in up to 6-8 weeks before they get brittle and old.)

We have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off. She is not sitting at home watching cartoons, but trying to go to work, still going to night classes when she can etc.

We went to New York to the NYU medical center this Valentine¡¦s day through that crazy blizzard because there is a doctor there that specializes in a Da Vinci Robot assisted pyleoplasty surgery (which is Doctor speak for the name of her surgery.) It requires a reconstruction of the kidney to fix the abnormality.

He was wonderful and we will be having surgery with him on the 16th of this March, 2007! He is the best surgeon for this in the United States. We have to stay in N.Y. city at the hospital dorm from the 8th of March till a few days after the surgery because they pull the stent out the 8th to allow the kidney to swell back up to maximum aggravation and size- allowing a perfect surgery and cutting the right things in the right places.

Our parents and her Boss have been wonderfully supportive, but we have worn out our welcome in asking for anything more from them. They have given all they can.

We have gotten this far on our own, and if we don¡¦t get one penny, some-how, someway we will come out of this.

Now comes the part I am embarrassed about, but I have REFUSED TO LOSE this whole time, I may as well swallow my pride and ask for help. Stressing out accomplishes nothing. We are in pretty deep, and I sure don't want for strangers to pay me ALL the way out of the debt we have incurred. Put some money instead to some sick 2 year old child, instead of paying ALL my bills. I only will speak of debt that is immediate.

If we got a little money from this we would be ecstatic! If we get a large Total donation amount, we as a family will not accept a penny over $15,000, period. This is already asking way too much. I have a variety of bills: In the neighborhood of $15,000 total from all this and before we got side-swiped by this fiasco. Please consider that the bills are part of the problem but the reason I ask for help is that this has kept both of us away from work at great length, and we kept being told by the Doctor in M.A. that a spot may open up on the schedule and to just hold on for a few more weeks. But our dates never changed and this whole thing has just sucked us dry financially. We also need money to make the trip to NY, which will cost from $2000-$3000 just for the room and board for us on the cheap for 10 days.

I am the kind of guy that would get 3 jobs to figure out a way, but when Elizabeth cannot get out of bed some days to microwave a bowl of soup, how can I really commit to additional employers that way? Our lives have been ripped apart by this. My $5000 credit union card is $100 under max at 7.9 %, a home depot card of $2,500 at 21%- two good friends lent me $3500 cash each, but now they need it back. Her father passed when she was 19, so she put herself through college through federal loans. Her mother is a widow who is eligible for public assistance, so money from her parents is not an option now.

We are blessed in the first place that there is a surgery to fix this. I am a man that will figure a way, but right now we have to get through the last part of our journey and have this surgery. Even if we only eat baloney sandwiches from now on, and while in New York, N.Y. from March 7th- till the 20th, we still need some monetary help.

Although I feel strong and tempered from this, I really could use some help now to relieve this direct pressure in regards to money and focus on getting Elizabeth fixed. Again, If we got a little money from this we would be ecstatic! If we get a large Total donation amount, we as a family will not accept a penny over $15,000, period. This is already asking way too much. If we were to reach this goal (in my wildest dreams!) anything over would be donated to the Make a wish Foundation- they provide terminal children the ability to live out a dream they have, whether it be a trip to Disney World, or just to go fishing for an afternoon.

Someday soon, I know I will be able to go fishing for an afternoon. Till that day, I will keep up the fight.

All the best to you all- Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Mother of 4 Needs a Helping Hand.
Note: This aidpage was started as a comment on "Aidpage of BrokenRoad"

My daughter has had surgery for cysts on her ovaries. The doctors now feel that she needs a hysterectomy as her uterus is deteriorating. She is in constant pain. She is the single mother of 4 children. The father of her 20 month old son is a selfish man who is stalling their divorce and trying to gain sole custody of their son. Never has a mother loved her children more than my daughter. Because of the surgery she has already had, my daughter has missed a total of 3 weeks from work at the job she has held for 10 years. Because of court dates for her divorce she has no vacation time left. Her husband has failed at mediation and the courts have ordered that they have a psychiatric evaluation. Her car has been repo'd and she pays her lawyer what she can when she can so he will continue to represent her. She owes her attorney $800.00 towards his retainer. Her court ordered share of the evaluation will cost her $2000.00. She has gone back to work against doctor's orders so that she can try to earn as much as she can as long as she can. Her father is working 7 days a week, some days for 13 hours, to help her. Her sister is selling items to raise money and I do what I can to ease stress and pressure. If you could see your way clear to help this strong young lady, we all would be most appreciative. Thank you and God Bless.

Help paying for Surgery

My name is Lisa. I am a 31 year married mother of three. My 3 children all come from my first marriage. I got married when I was just 18 and I had three children back to back, as a result I had my tubes tied. Unfortunately my first husband would not work and I put in 80 hours a week just to keep our heads above water with the bills. I did not get to enjoy my childrens baby years as a result. My children are 12, 11, and 9. I love my children very much and thank God for them every day. I have since gotten divorced and remarried. I also went back to college about 1.5 years ago and got an associates degre in accounting. I worked very hard to maintain a 3.75 average all through school. I am now working in a decent job 40 hours a week. My husband is a local truck driver who also works 40 hours a week. We are desperate to have a child together. The surgery is 6200. This includes all cost associated with the surgery including free fertility treatments afterwards if they are needed. My husband is deeply attatched to my 3 children but would love to have one of his own. I have talked it over with my parents and they are very supportive, but we have no way of paying for the surgery. We have checked in adoption and the fees associated with that are even more than paying for the surgery. I am begging to please make my wish come true. I would do anything to hold another baby in my arms. Anything you can do would help. My email address is sassyredhead282004@yahoo.com. Please feel free to ask questions.

Please help my 2 1/2 year old needs surgery!

Hi, we just found out last week that our 2 1/2 year old needs to have surgery on her shoulder.  She has Erb's palsy which she got from birth.  If she does not have this surgery she will be paralized on her right side in a few years.  The surgery is going to be in Houston and we live in Florida.  We need financial help to get us there and for the hotel while we are there.  I can't imagine my baby not being able to swim or play sports or even feed herself properly.  Thanks to everyone that reads this!  If nothing else, please send up prayers on Kaitlyn's behalf.  God Bless!

Need Help for My Family
I am a disabled mother of 3 and am in serious need of help.  My family needs $100,000 to pay off all our debt and have a secure home for our children.  I have tried to get loans everywhere I can and no one will give us a loan.  I had to quit work over 3 years ago, when my illness finally forced me to stay at home.  My husband brings in the bulk of our income, but had to have surgery a month ago and since then we have been sinking.  We can not catch up and we are in danger of loosing our only reliable vehicle and possibly our home.  All I want is to be able to provide for my family.  I am willing to repay a loan, I just need someone to give me that loan.  I have a set amount that we can spend on repayment each month.  I am praying everyday for an angel to help us out.
In need of a simple surgery

Hello,

I am a mother of 4 children and I'm 34 years old. I have worked since I was 16 raising the my children.  Back in April of 2006, i woke up in excrutiating pain.  My neck and back was in horrific pain.  I went to hospital after hospital to find out what was wrong.  No one could give me an exact diagnosis without a MRI being performed. Unfortunately, I have no insurance.  My work didn't provide insurance.  Then I learned about a program that is based on income.  I applied and qualified.  I had the necessary tests done and was told that I have two bulging disk in my upper back. (I think my 4th and 5th vertebrae) I was prescribe appropriate medicine.  Before I was prescribed therapy, I went down completely and was put in the hospital overnight with the thought they were going to do surgery.  They decided that was not an option. I did my therapy at home like I was told to do and it subsided about the middle of may. What a relief.  Then in September I relapsed.  It is worse now than then. I can't work, I can barely get out of bed and my arm goes numb at least 10-15 times a day.  When this happens my arm shakes and hurts tremedously.   Still I have no insurance and my Carelink had expired. Now that I have a pre-exsisting condition no insurance will pick me up so I'm stuck and don't know what to do. I now live with my parents who are supporting me and my 3 children.  They have extended themselves to where there is nothing left.  I want more than anything to have my surgery and get well so I can go back to work.  I don't want to ask for charity, but I'm not too proud to ask because I have children I need to support.  That is my responsibility as their mom, to take care of their needs. Please if anyone can help me with my situation it is most appreciated.  If a doctor would do a probono or low payment plan. I will do my best.  If anyone could send just five dollar to help out you will be in my prayers.  All its for is the surgery, I want to work extra hard to catch up my personal bills for the last seven months. Please help me, its not a long term situation.  If a donation is possible the address is PO Box 12 Schertz, TX 78154
