I am looking for help either in a grant or something to get my mobile home repaired...My roof is leaking badly and is damaging the inside ceiling of my home...I need a new roof and the local contractors are estimating between $3000-4000 to fix my roof and that does not include repairing the inside ceiling...I'm 74 year old widow living on my husbands social security of $800 per month and have nothing left after I pay my bills. I am sending this on my son's computer, he is also disabled but does work part time and helps me when he can, but I am in need of immediate help as the rainy season is soon to start.

• (Other Option 2)   If necessary I will consider buying a used trailer home and buying a piece of land to put it on. I'm a bit concerned about the safety of this sort of home especially in that tornado prone region. Plus, friends of my boyfriend bought a used trailer, and they spent twice as much on repairs to make it safe ... so I'm not excited about this option - but it would be better than nothing if all else fails.

I am divorced woman, and single mother of 3 small children ages 4,5, and 6. I am 30 yrs. old. I am a American Indian from a federally recognized tribe. I have been to barber school and am finishing up my traineeship, getting ready to take my final state board exam next month. After that I will be completly licensed. After I am through with this I am planning to go to our community college and get my 2 yr. as. degree in buisness, now that I have a trade and a way to make money I need to know what to do with it. I need help finding scholarships and grants available to me to help me.

I am a Pastor of my own church for 4 years now. I currently run the prison ministry outreach for my church. I am married 19 years this July. Two grown children(almost) and I love my church and Jesus.

Our current project: Bibles for prisoners

Our plan is to reach prisoners worldwide and offer bibles and bible studies to those who are forgotten by society. Our project also includes our caring card ministry, which is our initial contact with such prisoners. A postcard and gospel tract is mailed to each prisoner. We acquire their names through varies means, prayer requests from loved ones, other churches or non profit organizations that work with prisons worldwide. The status of said prisoner is not of concern, meaning that any prisoner qualifies for our program. Once said prisoner has received his or her care card envelop a postcard already pre stamped and addressed to the church can be returned for our services.

Our problem lies within the means of financial donations which are currently limited and fall well below operating standards.

The purposed amount we are seeking with your particular institution is $1000. Our total yearly cost of this endeavor is estimated at a little over $72,000, especially with the rising costs of stamps and supplies. This amount is sure to double within the next 5 years.

Reaching he lost is our life mission. No one can be spared at any cost.\

I am looking for assistance on applying for grants. I am a mentally disabled mother of two. I cannot return to my previous type of employment. I have started an online store of handmade items such as jewelry, knitted accessories, and bath & body products. I would like to open a retail store. Also, due to my medical condition, I have many outstanding medical and other bills that I am unable to pay since my social security barely covers my rent and food. I have found the grant gate application and sent off many letters to agencies that seemed to pertain to my situation. Unfortunatley, none of them where able to assist me. Any information that anyone can give to me will be greatly appreciated. I am completely lost here and unless you purchase a CD from one of the iffy sounding companies, I don't know where else to look. Thank you!

Hi I am 29 years old,and am in a rutt..I have had dental problems for years.I recently went to the dentist and my mouth dropped looking at the bill on how much it was going to cost me to fix my problem. I can not afford this,and called the local human services for help,but could not get it. My health isn't that great from this,and i can not eat very well..I don't want people to feel sorry for me,but i am desperate for help.I have not help from anyone, and this is my last resort.

I have no money. I cannot get money. I am kept prisoner in my circumstances. I have been abused all my life by partners. My family has had to move so many times and we have nothing. As a result of the abuse, sexual, physical, mental, I am the nation's poorest. The law was never on my side. I am imprisoned by cruelty beyond words.

I do not do drugs. I do not drink. I always tried to work and pull my weight through all of this horrible life I have been dealt. I dont know the reason for all of this. Perhaps it is my fate. It seems there is a curse on me and my family. We are outcasts. We are poor. We have no home, no roots.

I am not writing a storybook here, a grim fairy tale. These words are fact. If you took my hand for a day, I would show you the life I have. I do know that I dont deserve any of this, for I am a star. Shining bright for all to see...if you would only look toward the sky, you would see me. The poor, the lonely, the outcast. The soul within you and within all of us.

Please help me if you can. I would be grateful to have some money to better my family and myself. I would give anything I had to help my family.

 I am going back to school for the first time in 20yrs I have been excepted to a online collage and am in need of free money to pay for school. I am a disabled woman who lives off a disability check and cannot afford school on my own.

A few years ago, I became seriously ill.  I had been diagnosed with a horrible and rare disease.  Thanks to modern medicine and my wonderful doctor, I am stabilized.  I will have to take medication for the remainder of my life.  I have since started making jewelry - necklaces and earrings to start.  I would love to start a business where part of the proceeds go to aid others with this rare, deadly disease.  Please help me in this endeavor!
