I'm a single mother who is low income and mentally ill, but I want to make my son's life better and my life more quality through my passion for writing. I have one novel finished and I am already discussing self-publishing with a service called Author House. I need to move about so that is why I posted for help getting a notebook computer. Other ventures I need help with are getting my novel published (need about 4,000 for that alone), and money for marketing. I have more than one project in the works right now and can use all the help I can get!

I am commited to a path that I must follow.  It will be my life's work to tell the stories of my people the Samoans.  I will use the mediums of video and music to tell my stories and perpetuate our culture which is unique and thriving.  I know that I will succeed.  I have come so far these past 12 years, but the journey has been exciting and self fulfilling.  I have learned alot and seek to gain more wisdom as I keep moving forward so that eventually I may share these experiences with the world and hopefully help the young to avoid mistakes I have made or find their path and find success because of my example.  A path still lies before me and I must move on.  Will you help me or must I move on with nothing but the everlasting love of my Father in Heaven.  Such is life...we must choose our paths and move forward.  God bless....

I am 24 years old and a happy mother of two little boys, ages 4 and 2. I am dovorced and my ex has moved out of state. I do recieve aid from the state for child care, some school fees, gas money for driving to school, and food, and monthly bills. I am not asking help to pay bills, but a one time assistance in getting a new used vehicle for me and my boys to help finish my externship to graduate. I am not one to ask for help, I try to make it on my own until i have no other choice to ask for help. I am in desperate need to get a vehicle to drive to my externship site, I have just alittle under a month left until i graduate and can start my career as a vet assistant.

My hobbies are taking my kids to the duck pond, zoo, and i also write poetry and short stories. I am a family person and just trying to make it and give my kids what they deserve. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read this, and sincerley thank anyone who can spare just a single dollar in this complication i have risen upon. God bless you all.

I've been in school for awhile, receiving my MBA as my latest degree, but I have yet to get that great job. My business is struggling from lack of cash flow, but I continue to hope for that one opportunity to do something great. My parents are not my excuse, but my motivation.  Believing that I can end this "generational curse" as they call it in the South, but it minus well be plain old bad luck or bad decisions.

"For my son, I hope to build a stable future, with a struggle free path to college or to a career in the arts. As for my daughter, I hope for the same, but without manless claims. For them both, I would work day in and day out. Leaving my leisure time for them to tell me what their life has been about."

For me, I continue my education, seeking a Doctorate of Philosophy in Information Assurance, and a career to compliment. A career in Information Assurance and Information Security, as I hope to teach oneday, as I do now, along the way. Working a job, helping friends as I meet them, and for a season of gratitude and blessed in my time of growth.

In my request for assistance: monies for living expenses and a career opportunity.

why did i look into this site, well after a report about how people helped skreetch from saved by the bell. i thought i would see if such a site existed. but i found more than i expected. one to see that there are people worse off than myself and yet i can say we are poor, we do need help, but we are surviving, you wonder what kind of help do we need. one is

prayer

prayer on what you may ask? well my husband is going to school to better our life as a EMT security guard and every time he tries to find ways to improve our lives disaster hits. example he tried to work in security and become a insurance agent and when his security job found out they changed his schedule during the best time to get contracts after being on the same job schedule for 3 years, also kept placing him on call instead of hours to work, which effected scheduling appointments. school for ministry, but our youngest got very sick and ended up in the hospital which caused him to fail and loose his grant money chances. then the school ended up loosing its accreditation. our cars were breaking down around that time. but we finally have a car that cut that problem. we had a wonderful church that we felt a part of for so many years and the pastor leaves to minister overseas, bringing in a pastor that ruined the church and took away from people who were helping the church grow. but now we are helping a wonderful man to start a new church, he needs prayer for growth and a building to preach.

my dream is more of a money thing to start. i want to start a help center, with clothing, food, budget education, reading help, low cost evening daycare for parents to have a few hours to themselves. a place where college students can earn volunteer credits for their resumes, rooms for educational purposes or scout meetings, to teach crafts and skills to help people.

as a military brat i have seen the smallest of buildings used in so many ways. that activities can work together. even a small basketball court, uncarpeted so that it can be used for different dances or skating or allow water games that wont ruin the floor. have a place to have little carnivals or fund raisers, meetings for locals to teach people a skill or craft. it can be a safe place for kids to run if scared. yes this also sounds like a youth center, but i want to build one where people help people, not products like computer or video games babysit the kids, have game tables that involve skills and teamwork, board games and home work help also from volunteers. having a child with medical needs is also a challenge and the education about her condition is so little that the place can be a medical education, and to share with the area other uncommon conditions others wish to share with people. like turrets, i just learned there are over 200 types of seizures. how many knew that? i learned that selective hearing and selective sight isn't just a joke for kids who don't want to look or listen to the parents. its a true condition, my daughter has selective sight, where she blanks out like you don't exist when you think she is staring at you. this sight has many who ask for money. i wish i could, but the money needed for my direction is to big. PRAYER would be great, ideas to get this started would be appreciated, take in mind, i have very little college education, hardly enough money to live without struggle and a handful with 3 daughters. my youngest has a condition called ACC(agenesis of the corpus callosum) missing the middle brain stem, we feared seizures, but god answered that prayer and no indication sense she was 1. her mind is effected by migraines due to her mind can not be work as hard as a normal kid without headaches, but resting helps and slower pacing as well. she is only 5, migraines are not good for a child that age, she has asthma from the time of the hospital stay 3 years ago and we are always careful with that. i have a bright gifted daughter who wants to grow up to fast, she feels she is equal to an adult at age 12, A student, she is a musician, singer, writer, artist, fastball thrower, good kicker and great help to me at home. she wishes to be a primary teacher when she grows up.  my middle child who is 9needs prayer. she is in 2nd grade and she has learning problems, getting tested for ODD(oppositional defiant disorder) ADHD, she cant sit still and her attention in and out of school is very short, but she is great in science, math and gymnastics direction. we will not medicate her and the school took 2 years to finally test her after we kept at them to help her, my youngest is bright even with her condition, she can read and write backward and forwards, started writing at 4, talks like a 8 year old. her teacher is very proud of her. my help center. is a dream, it's a wish, it's prayer, its a love of helping people as i can. god gave me the vision and the direction to do. i know one day that with gods will and gods timing such a organization will happen, even if it is started in a church or government office or a private direction. weather i started or share my knowledge for those who can start it, i know with what gift god gave me that it will happen. , why i know, he has proven himself with healing my daughter when deathly sick, saving another from a 2 story fall, helping my best friend thru her struggles and the peace that things will happen for the better, not by my time, but his allone, not my way, but his  way will be done. one phrase for me is this....

if god and the lord jesus wills it then so be it.

god bless everyone

peace fill your mind as you go thru your daily lives .

A Mess, But Still Blessed

I'm a single mother of three little boys.  Three weeks ago, our family was headed home to Georgia after taking care of family business in New Jersey.  Nearly half-way through Virginia, our car caught fire and subsequently went up in flames. Thankfully no one was hurt.  We were stuck in Virginia for several days and I had to end up spending all of our savings (about $1,000) to sustain us and get us back hom.  When we finally got back home, I was informed that I had been fired from my sales job.  So now, I have no car (which is terrible in Georgia), no job, no money. I've been hunting for jobs and have even had very prospective interviews. But rent (along with all the other bills) are due and I'm at my wits end. What can I do?

Need to have a fresh start

My name is Savannah and I’m 21. I live with my mother and my younger sister. I live in an area that has a nearly non-existent job market, so for the last year, I’ve been working 9-10 hours a day for $20 A DAY looking after a young and troubled child. The job is stressful for both myself and the child, and I’m desperate to get out. I’m in more debt now that when I began working.

So, here’s what I need –

1 - $15 000 to pay off my debt and self-publish a book of poetry. I’ve been told I’m a fusion of Robert Frost and Jewel, which is a great honour. I want to self publish because I want to retain all editorial control over my work, and not have it changed at the hands of an editor. Problem is, I can’t afford to finance this project. And on 20 measly bucks a day, it’s not going to happen any time soon.

2 - $10 000 for my sister’s one-year college course in the fall.

3 - Any amount to go towards a down payment on a house. My mother, my sister, and myself had to move into subsidized housing after my parent’s divorce last year, but due to regulations, we will have to move this summer, as my sister is graduating. As it is, we can barely afford to eat, and keep on top of all the bills. So the greater the down payment on a house, the less hassle a mortgage payment will be. I don’t want to see us end up homeless.

My mother and sister know nothing of my attempts to secure money for them. Both have been so supportive of me over the years, and it’s my turn to give back to them. It is my hope that I can collect the money and hold the best surprise party for them they’ve ever had. I hope and pray for the kindness and generosity of strangers so we can have that wonderful moment.

Self employed writer needs help with half the rent this month

I am a freelance writer. You can find my webpage at Rita Writes Now
This month I ran into some problems with a very large project that was cancelled. I was expecting this to pay my  rent. My rent is 600$, I have 300$. I am a mother of three and could really use the help. I would also love to get some work.

I applied for financial state assistance but they will not help me for 45 days, and even then they probably will not help me because I work. It is very frustrating right now. I have always worked, but with 3 kids I tend to live week to week. If you are able to help me, any amount would be great. I am really worried because I have to pay my rent by Friday May 18th or I will be served with an eviction notice. I do not have any family resources to ask for help. Its just me and my kids.

Writer with a dream

Hello everyone, I am still uncertain how this all works but I am grateful for even your prayers at this time. I am a divorced mother of 3 wonderful children. I have joint custody of our 3 children but there dad recieves all the tax benefits and moneys from the governement. I have a common law spouse who works so hard and has provided so much for me and my children. I have terrible anxiety and Ptsd which makes it difficult for me in the work place, but I followed my dream and became a published auther of 2 books. It is not easy starting out being a writer. I have given away many of my books for free to people in hopes to get my name out there and  begin making money. I believe my books will become known but as anything it takes time. I have begun working at a temp agency nights and as well a part time waitress job so some of our bills could get caught up. Yesterday I visited the food bank and we now have some food for the kids. Our heat has been disconnected and to get it hooked up again the gas company wants a deposit of 1000 dollars. We have a house and so because we pay on a morgage the helps is not available for us from the government. Even though now we have been forced to put our house up for sale. I want to keep faith and believe that everything will work out. Many people still say when I say I cannot give away my books for free anymore, they will say well money isnt important........but  I am not sure they see that I have 3 children and bills as well...and if money meant nothing then why would they not pay? I had bought 300 copies of my books from my grandmothers inheritance in hopes of reselling  them and each book cost me 13.00 american. I am selling them now for 10 dollars canadian plus the shipping cost. I realize I am taking a loss but these books are here and we need the money right now.I wonder where the balance of giving and recieving is, somedays I need help in seeing this. Anyways hope to hear some thoughts from you all. Blessings and LOve........

ONE MINUTE WITH GOD

Yet give attention to your servant's prayer and his plea for mercy, O LORD my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day” (1 Kings 8:28).

Most of us put great value on prayer.   It is our way of communicating with God.  We do pray a lot. We pray for big issues and small concerns alike.  We pray for our family, relatives, friends and even enemies (I am sure you do).  We pray for our country and political leaders.  We pray for the church and our spiritual family.  We pray for ourselves too.  It seems we will never run out of people, things and concerns to pray about.

We pray in faith. Without seeing God, we pray with all our emotions.  Intimately, we pour out our heart and mind’s content.  But have you ever thought what if you will have one minute with God, face to face with the heavenly Father? What will you tell the Lord if you have 60 seconds to talk to him and say your prayer personally?

Dear Friend, I am writing my ebook – A MINUTE WITH GOD – and I want to share it with you.  If you have the heart to share, help and inspire other people, let’s put together our prayers and send it out to every nation.  I believe God answer our prayer through people and situations he brings into our life. Many people could be a blessing had they only know our prayer.

If you have the conviction to be blessed and be a blessing, please share your “One Minute Prayer” with me.  The prayer may not be necessarily personal or for your family.  It could be for your friend, church or country.  Maybe you want to intercede for someone who is in great need but you alone cannot fulfill it.  Maybe you are desperately praying something for your office, church or county.  Whatever it is, I pray for your openness to share it to the world.

Please send your contribution to adette_purto@mindsolutionsmarketing.com, Subject: ONE MINUTE PRAYER, not later than June 14, 2008. Soon as I received 59 prayers, I will release A MINUTE WITH GOD with my personal prayers.  I have strong faith that as the world read our prayers; God’s mighty hand shall be upon us.

[NOTE: All contributors shall have free copy of the book]
